If I can give them an 00000 star I will. OMG!!! The technician was very rude. I called them for an inspection for Lyft and they asked me how much it usually cost. I told them around $20 (on the Lyft email they mentioned it's should be $20-$30) and he said come over. When I got there the other guy said it $45. I told them that another auto repair's site can do it for $35 can I get an discount. They told me "then go there".... After the interaction with them(their body language and tone of their voices) I felt disrespect.. I mean, it's that how you guys treat your customers? I called ahead to get a quote on brake fluid flush and changing transmission fluid. When I arrived, they also answered my concerns on my brake pads and rotors. They did what they promised. Didn't try to sell any service that I didn't need. And they are fast. In 45 mins at most, they changed my transmission fluid, flushed my brake fluid, and checked my front brakes that I was concerned. I love coming here. I recently started coming here for my tune ups since my mechanic was always busy. My first experience here was great. I pulled up, drop my car off, said I need a oil change, walked across the street for a breakfast burrito and my car was done before the burrito! (Wtf!). Since then I have been coming here with my GF, friends and family. Pricing is fair/great and since I have a Honda Accord they always use original parts from the dealer. Took my car here for an oil change late December and I got what I thought was the fastest oil change ever! I was in an out of the shop in less than 25 minutes. Fast forward to the end of January, I noticed small oil stains in my driveway and discovered that it was coming from my car. I really didn't think twice about it until just this week when the oil started leaking more and more. I took it to my regular mechanic who was nice enough to look under the hood with me and showed me where the oil was leaking and said he'd take look at it. So I left my car there and about 30 minutes later he called me and asked me where I had taken my car for it's last oil change. Apparently, the oil filter was not the right size and loose which led to the oil leaking out everywhere. Needless to say I was pretty disappointed that I had to pay 170.00 to re-change the oil, clean the engine and replace the oil plug gaskets on account of a quick and careless oil change (which cost me 60.00 to begin with). Not only that, now I have to figure out a way to get the huge oil stains out of my driveway. Thankfully I was able to address the problem before it caused any further damage to my engine. read more

Not an honest place and I need to warn others about this place. I went with them cause of the great reviews and plus the guy on the phone said he can fix my right away. But it turns out that I still need to wait for half an hour before the mechanic man start work on my car. In the mean time, I see them working on others customer's car even they come after me. Then, let's talk about the price. They are the most expensive out of all the places I have called after I get my service. I blame myself for not doing all the research before I go with them. However, out of emergency and want to fix my car as soon as I can, I made that choice to go with them. Even with the big price tag, the problem is not fully fixed. That's the main thing, I have no problem people charging more for quality work. But it turns out they did the main job but the problem for my car is still there. They promised they will take a look and fix it. They absolutely DID NOT solve it fully. When I called and told there is still sound in my car, they simply suggest more service on my car. That.... I double check with another mechanic n it's not the problem and when they first "check" my car, they also doesn't see it as the problem. Now when things go south, they bring back an non issue and try to charge me more. It's a big disappointment for the dishonesty from this place. LONG OVERDUE Was having problems with my car, took it to a place not too far away where I've been before but kinda iffy on. Long story short, I picked up the car hours later with diagnosis of bad transmission. (1400+ in repairs)I had such a strong gut feeling the car had no more done to it other then parking it across the way, I decided to get a second opinion. I called up Tony's because of their reviews and he looked at the car drive it around a bit and diagnosis, rear differential. Being an older car he had to look for a junk part to repair and use because new was impossible. My car is also not very common so finding the part may not be easy either so be said he'd look around but may be a while before he could locate a part. He called after they had closed that day, said he found the part, gave me a price between $500-600 (again long overdue and my mind hates #s) I told him I'd have to wait to make the funds and he said that was fine. Few weeks later I called back, went in the next morning dropped off car, took a field trip to fish store down the street, got something to eat across the street and done My car never ran better, better then when I first drove it and I couldn't be happier. They are such nice people, and I don't mind to write it again to show my appreciation for their service. Got two flat tires in a row, this time was the spare tire. it was after 9:00 pm. My car couldn't go any further, thank God I pulled right next to Tony's and someone still there. I gave Tony's Auto Repair a try after reading some of the positive comments here, and I have to say that the services on my car exceed expectation. I came here twice now on two different services and I was very happy on both. So a rating is due. Back in December 2011, my little Honda CRX was making scratchy noise whenever I step on the brake. I took it in, and they order a pair of new OEM Honda brake pads. While they were waiting for the parts to come (took about 20 minutes), they resurfaced my brake rotor. Took them a total of 40 minutes to finish the job and the price is very reasonable. If I recall correctly, it costs me about $100-120 for two brake pads, resurface, and labor. I was super happy. Last month, my CRX started to over-heat while driving home from work. I pulled to a gas station and pop the hood and notice one of the radiator hoses was punctured. You can see the greenish steam leaking out. I cooled the car for a while and added some water in the radiator so that I could continue to drive home. The next day, I took it to Tony's. They recommended both upper and bottom radiator hoses. I only need an upper hose cause that where the leak come from. But my car is old and the bottom hoses could go any time, so I took up the recommendation. The car was ready by the afternoon. I was super happy again. Highly recommended, for services, timely manner, and consistency. Will come back again. read more

I get my oil changed here all the time and the owner is very helpful an honest about what I really need and provides me with the options. The last time I came I got the filter changed so that the air condition would be cooler. I don't have much else to say since I have a Honda and it doesn't require much maintenance aside from routine oil changes. However when I do have a problem, this is the first place I go to for an honest opinion. It's right across the street from a locals burger joint so I usually eat while I wait for my oil change. With each oil change he also helps me check the tire pressure and makes sure to let me know if the antifreeze is running low or if I need to add any brake fluid. read more

Billy helped me out, he's that mechanic that grew up under a hood and can see a car driving, listen to a sound or idk feel a car and know what's wrong, or at least know where to look. :) not only was he super friendly but gives real advice, I was going to have my trans rebuilt and that was going to cost about 2gs, Billy not only told me my trannie was still good and found the problem and showed me his work and now my car gets me everywhere; what a relief to drive and not worry about if I'm going to make it without my car giving out on me. He fixed my car and also fixed my seperate power steering issue I've been putting off for under what it was going to cost more to rebuild my (working fine) transmission. He also said, "if I was you I wouldn't do this blah blah work that's unnecessary, only if you have a problem." What machanic ever says that? Idk, I've been through about 6 mechanics, glad to know I finally found one. Wonder if he would move to SGV closer to my house instead of 20 miles away. :/ well... worth it though. :) read more

I don't know why there are so many positive reviews for this place. I took my daughter's prius here for an oil change and they charged me $50!!! I thought I was getting a full synthetic because the guy said yes synthetic 5000 miles only come to find out the synthetic they were talking about was synthetic blend. You can buy them for $2.50 a quart and the prius takes less than 5 qts. The filter cost $3 so basically the parts cost them $15 total. They charged $50!!!! That's not considered "cheap" like most of these reviews claim on here. You can go to toyota dealer and get the oil change for the same price. Arguably one of the best mechanics out here in the San Gabriel Valley. I recently purchased a used 02 Honda S2000 from a private seller only to find out that the piston rings were shot and the engine was a total loss. Truly a mistake that has enlightened my perspective on buying used cars, especially sports cars. Get those compression tests done to make sure the engine is healthy!! Anyway, as anyone would understand, I was intensely upset and angry with myself for buying a lemon. I want to stress the fact that the only reason I found out my engine needed replacing was because of Tony. Before taking the car to Tony I took it to the Nelson Honda dealership in El Monte and they diagnosed the engine as having bent valves and quoted me $2000 to fix. I had to get a second opinion so I took it to Tony after reading all the good reviews he has received. He found the problem and told me that the valves were not the main issue and that the piston rings had failed. At this point, I was completely devoid of any hope to fix this car since I needed to either rebuild the engine or replace it. Tony said he could get me a really good deal on a used lower mileage engine and to my surprise he did. S2000 engines are expensive and can run up anywhere from $3000-$5000. He found a healthy engine for much less than I expected for $2700 with only 77000 miles (my old engine had 91000). Anyway, I went through the ordeal and had it replaced in a couple weeks. He also replaced my clutch release bearing and clutch slave cylinder without charging me labor. Now tell me, how awesome is that? Very. haha. He also recharged my AC for freee! This guy really gives you the best service you could ask for. Not only that, but the whole time I was without a car, he lent me a car and all I had to do was pay for gas so I could go to work. I truly appreciate my car now after having it serviced by an amazing crew here at Tony's auto repair. As a treat/tip, I bought them some Petrillo's pizza after I picked up my car. I never felt so compelled do that for anyone as a gesture of saying thanks but they deserved it. I can definitely say that he is now my trusted mechanic[= Thank you Tony. read more
