    Tri tip nacho

We've tried this restaurant 3 times. Food is terrible. We ordered the Brisket burger and the "Brisket" was ALL gristle. We showed the waitress and she was shocked supposedly. Said it definitely should not come like that. Then she walked away. We never got new brisket, an apology or even a discount since we clearly did not receive what we paid for. We also ordered the tri tip nachos. Literally all beans and no cheese. At all. Just massive globs of bland refried beans.

Nice place with relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff with nice and courteous customer interactions. Great tasting pizza, coupon given to me from Houchin blood bank for donating blood. Will be back in the future to try out some other great menu items. Even Tony himself came out said hello, very nice gentleman. Quite cool.

It's been awhile. We had OUTSTANDING service from a waitress we haven't had before. Her name was Sam. Friendly, informative, interactive. We orders 4 side salads. Excellent portions. 2 pizzas Hawaiian and Tony's combo. Pizza were very good. Didn't have to ask for drink refills our waitress Sam was on top of it. Will be looking for Sam the next time we visit.

    Raw Patty Melt

I was a regular at Tony's on 178, I live in the general area. Yesterday 02/10/2026 I stopped at their restaurant for lunch. I asked for confirmation on the roll used for their French Dip sandwich that was on the menu. The waitress confirmed it was a "regular " hoagie roll, I ordered and the sandwich was delivered with some sort of cheese infused bread. I roundly refused the order and asked for a patty melt as a replacement. The new sandwich was delivered and I thanked the waitress for exchanging. The table I sat at had low light (high top bar area). I noticed the sandwich had some red in it. I thought how odd to put tomatoes on a patty melt, but took a few bites anyway. I noticed that the bread was cold and soggy on the bottom. I lit the sandwich up with my I phone and discovered the meat was RAW. I notified the waitress and she agreed hat the meat was indeed raw. I asked for someone in management, she informed me hat no one was available, but they would "comp" my order except for my beverage ( a beer). I wrote my contact info down and requested someone in authority to contact me.... I paid for my beer and left the waitress an excellent tip... the issues were not her fault. I have waited 24 hours. No call. I was ill with "digestive issues" all night. My thought is the cook was mad because I returned the original order. I hope he didn't further taint my food. Sad situation.

Tony's Firehouse has always been great, from their quick service to amazing food quality.

    Fried chicken salad.

Tony's Firehouse Grill is a great spot. One side of the restaurant is a large pizza area with Tony's outstanding pizza, wings, and salad bar. On the other hand is Tony's firehouse Grill, which offers traditional American fare. Breakfast is served 7-noon. We were there for dinner and ordered the best tritip sandwich ever! On a grilled ciabatta roll, it was piled with delicious meat and Swiss cheese. I enjoyed a wonderful fried chicken salad loaded with deviled egg, olives, red onion, and avocado. It was delicious and enough for two meals! If you like a bar, Tony's offers a full service bar and ice cold beer. There's something for everyone here!

If you love breakfast foods, you definitely can't go wrong by going here. I always struggle with what to choose because everything is so good! If you have a sweet tooth, the B-N-W waffle which has banana, Nutella, and walnuts for the toppings would be a great choice. The chilaquiles with any choice of meat is incredibly flavorful and one of my favorites on the menu. I also appreciate their extensive drinks menu as you can choose anything from a michelada to a latte. At this specific downtown location, the service is always great. The servers are friendly, attentive, and always make sure you're satisfied with your food/drinks.

We finally decided to try Huevo House, and with a name like that I was expecting both cuisines, but I wasn't expecting the Mexican flavors to be this good! The menu was a decent size--one side for breakfast and the back for lunch. I didn't look at the lunch side, but the breakfast options were great: plenty to choose from without feeling overwhelming. They serve pozole on Fridays and Saturdays and menudo on Sundays. The pozole was full of flavor and honestly one of the highlights of our visit. Thank goodness we finally found a place that satisfies us both! I ordered the Country Benedict and he ordered the Brunchiladas--both dishes were delicious and came in generous portions. We also tried the Abuelita Latte and the Mazapán Latte. Both were very good, just on the sweeter side, so if you're not into sweet coffee definitely ask for half sweet. Our server was attentive and informative. She took great care of us and even made conversation, which added to the overall experience. Overall, such a good visit. We'll definitely be back!

The vibes in the new space are absolutely immaculate. There is so much more energy here, and the decorations are incredibly cute. It's the perfect backdrop for a killer meal. The Main Event: This time around, I went with the En Fuego Burger. This beast is loaded with a chile-spiced beef patty, pepperjack, sharp cheddar, thick-cut bacon, chipotle mayo, pepper relish, pickled jalapeños, and a mountain of fried jalapeños + onion strings. The Flavor Profile: This burger delivers on every level, but those fried onion strings were to die for. For the side, I got the sweet potato fries, which are served as big, thick-cut wedges. They come paired with a duo of spicy ketchup and a marshmallow dipping sauce. Switching between the two was amazing, the marshmallow sauce actually makes the fries feel like a dessert. The Drink: To wash it all down, I ordered the basil lemonade, and omg, I need to figure out how to recreate this at home. It's exactly what it sounds like, crisp, refreshing lemonade with a perfect herbal basil finish. The Verdict: If you loved their old spot, the new location takes everything to the next level. Between the upgraded atmosphere, the dessert-like fries, and that refreshing lemonade, I will absolutely be coming back here again and again.

I immediately noticed that my favorite dish, the shakshuka eggs, was no longer on the menu. Thinking it might just be a seasonal change, I decided to try something different. I ordered the carrot ginger soup, beet and goat cheese salad, and my usual favorite cocktail, the Pear Necessities. The cocktail was the first disappointment. It tasted completely different from what I've come to enjoy, none of the smoky mezcal flavor and none of the sweetness from the pear liquor that made it a favorite. I figured it might just be a new bartender and tried to brush it off. The carrot ginger soup was just okay. I found myself searching for both the carrot and ginger flavors, neither of which really stood out. The beet and goat cheese salad was fine, but it's hard to get too excited about a salad. Overall, the food felt subpar compared to what I've come to expect from Moo Creamery. The restaurant itself was also surprisingly loud, making conversation difficult and adding to the overall frustration. It was hard to get our waitress's attention throughout the meal, and service felt disjointed. The most disappointing moment came when we noticed my son's chicken strips and fries sitting on the counter for 13 minutes before they were finally brought to our table. By then, it was difficult not to question whether the food was still as fresh and hot as it should have been. We came in excited to experience the new location, but between the noisy atmosphere, inattentive service, and food that didn't live up to Moo Creamery's usual standards, we left feeling disappointed. Sadly, I probably won't be returning. It's hard to justify giving it another try when there are so many other restaurants in town that consistently deliver quality food, service, and a better overall dining experience.

SMITTENS STAPLE IS THEIR ABILITY TO MISS THE FLAVOR IN EVER SINGLE DISH…read more Update: coming back after some palate development... smitten is one of the most tasteless restaurants in town. Their hype was definitely due to the 'aesthetic'. Nothing is really outstanding to me. The drinks are such a let down, the coffee is borderline yuck.. do not recommend. Everything is quite unmemorable. Service is whatever, sometimes mid, sometimes bad. Nothing outstanding. Ambiance.... well... this one has been replicated one too many times. The food is heavily missing flavor, the hummus is disgusting. I can't believe they call that thing hummus, it's an insult to actual dish.. it's almost like it was trying to imitate the real dish, but failed terribly in even attempting to. Their pizza tasted like play-doh and looked very pale. Smitten is at least consistent with one thing, which is their staple: no flavor. One of the breaking points for me was being served food that had someone's HAIR. The restaurant is very expensive for the poor experience they have to offer. I stopped recommending them a long time ago.
