I've been eating Italian beef sandwiches all around this city and the burbs for about 50 years. I am a big fan of this place, the Italian beef is among the best in the city without question. Get it dipped or wet with the house-made giardiniera, it really enhances the sandwich (it's not super hot). It's multiple napkin messy, but so good. FYI - it's a small place, about 10 stools. The food is good but the menu prices online are saying its 4 dollars and it cost 6.50 in the store. I wanted to spend 12 and it was 16.

They make good sandwiches at Tony's. Most previous reviews were all about the Beef and I like those here just fine. They have the Jr Beef for $3 and that is usually enough for me. Or I've been known to get 2 Jr Beef with giardinara and a Coke. Good sandwich for the price. What people are missing clearly is the rest of the menu. Go in and get a Super Sub with 3 eggs, 2 pieces of Bacon, 2 sausage patties, 2 slices of ham, and American cheese and tell me you don't like it. I like the eggs cooked over medium so the yolk breaks and runs all over the place. That is a whole meal for about $7. Good place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They also have a text club that they use to notify you of specials, and they hand out a card so when you get 10 punches on it you get a free sandwich. read more

This is a really cool place. A throwback. Very limited seating in this beef stand. It reminds me of a place the Little League coach would bring the team to after a game on a sunny Summer evening. Italian Beef with Red Sauce, Mozzarella and Giardinia on the side - My guy said it was good, but he wasn't too fond of the giardinia. He said it was different or it tasted like it was going bad. Breaded Steak - This was okay. Breaded steak was tender, but even though the bread was soft, part of it was cold. They also forgot my sweet peppers.
