I am so happy to have found Tony's auto. They are trustworthy, fast and dependable. My car's engine light came on and I immediately went in to get it check. After talking to Dan on the phone he let me know the price of running a diagnostic would be, but that I should just bring it in and they can run the codes for free before running a full diagnostic that would have a fee. I said great and came right in. He was able to check out my car in 5 minutes and tell me what was wrong. I decided to leave my car and have them fix the problem. My husband brought my car in for an oil change on a Saturday afternoon and they had him in and out the door in no time. They even left him notes on some recommended small fixes, but no hard-sell at all! I brought my car in for another oil change just this week and dropped it off. Danny promised to have it done before the end of the day, but I got a call before lunch to pick it up. Again, left me notes on things to consider, yet still no hard-sel! He even recommended I take it to the tire shop to get a nail taken out and a warning to start budgeting for tires in the next year. Love the friendly approach and VERY reasonable prices. I am so angry with this place.I bet they have ripped me off a few times.They gave me an estimate on a side view mirror they told me it would be 500 dollars when I went to collision 1 it was 130 dollars for a used mirror and 200 for factory. My car died so I had it towed to Tony's (where I've had it serviced before). The bill came out to $750, about $550 of which were for new brakes, and the rest was for a new battery. I drove the car for two days after that, and it died again. i had it towed back and they wanted another $550 for a new alternator, which I found for $100 less at a few other shops. Then they charged me for the second inspection, which i felt was inappropriate since they should have done a proper inspection the first time it was in the shop, especially with a $750 bill. Other shops will do the work for less money, and their "repairs" kept my car alive for a whole 2 days. read more

My mechanic of 20+ years no longer is available, Tony's Service Center is right down the road from me, I've stopped in with a couple of vehicles over the years and have always been happy with the service. Now that I was forced to find a new mechanic that I could TRUST, I didn't think twice about it and I will be taking my car to Tony's. People have reviewed about high prices which I don't understand, my last service was cheaper than I expected and I received excellent service - they even washed my windshield when they checked the wipers!! Like my old mechanic would say I can lower the price and give you cheap parts that will last 6 months but I rather do the job once and right! If you have concerns, there are plenty of sites online that can give you a rough idea of what a job will cost and what the industry standard hours are to complete the job, like anything else, do your homework ask questions. These guys are the real deal and straight shooters and it's nice to find another neighborhood mechanic that treats you as a friend and not just some customer walking in the door read more

Went in to get a second opinion on a few things that were told to me by the HONDA dealership. I asked how much they would charge for the services I was told I needed. 1/2 of Honda's quote. Took it in for an oil change, they said I did not need a few of the things that Honda tried to rip me off for (my words). They are very professional, nice and reasonable. My rear passenger window would not go all the way up...Danny said after the regulator and motor were removed that I needed new regulator, also Danny said I should replace the motor..I asked what the difference was..Danny flat out lied to me..said I would only be saving $20.00 that the regulator was $207.00..I did not have a way to check but felt it wasn't true..Also charged me $18.20 for shop supplies and $18.27 for environmental fees that he has to pay...WHAT A RIP OFF..I would not tell anybody to have him work on your automobile...Danny isn't trueful... read more

I failed my emissions and brought my car here. To pass my emissions Brain at the front desk said I needed to replace my catalyic converter, O2 sensor, ignition wires and plugs, fuel filter, and fuel induction service for the price of $1,200. I refused and ended up replacing my air filter for $10 and passed my emissions...Go here and get ripped off! read more

I came to Tony's because the last two times I went to Camelback Toyota, I had things stolen out of my car. The first time it was money that I had in my console and in my cup holder, and then the next time it was actually a company check that I had hidden in my console. The bank called asking whether or not I wrote the check for $685 because it didn't look like my handwriting, and when we drilled down on it the man that was trying to present it had gotten it from someone whose friend worked in the service department of Camelback Toyota. Camelback Toyota has yet to come back to me to offer any kind of apology or anything. So I've pretty much had it with that place. The first thing I noticed about Tony's was how friendly everybody was. So that was a great start. They did everything they were supposed to do, they didn't mess with anything in the inside of my car, and even offered me a ride to come pick up my car. I am so thrilled that I found this place. Truly. They presented me with a detailed list of all the things that they checked on my car and went over everything with me to make sure I didn't have any more questions. I am extremely irate with tony's right now. I bought a 93 Camaro in February of last year. The car needed some work but is a 1 of 2 car with the options it has so I wanted it done. We started with the fuel pump and spark plugs wires fuel pressure regulator you know the old throw parts at the car til it works. They even tried to tell me the inlet air temp sensor was causing my stalling. I found that the real problem was my optispark a hm part that was only used for a short time and one that you have to remove the water pump to replace. Now mind you they replaced the fuel pump and I smell gas though they tell me I'm crazy and haven't had it looked at by anyone else yet but I wouldn't be surprised they didn't seal the tank properly and oh yeah my water pump leaks. So the only 2 things they touched are where the problems are. Then I took it to them because I smelled fuel and he charged me 50 dollars to tell me they didn't smell it. Definitely going to bbb with this. Tony's is an expensive scam and I found a new shop that is less than half the price in mesa. Please shop around for someone other than these guys. read more
