I'm going to put it out there right at the beginning. THE MEAT IS THE STAR AT TOP CORNED BEEF. If you're someone that's going to worry about the bread being different each time you come or there being cabbage on your Reuben instead of sauerkraut, then you might not be content here but I point back to my second sentence - the meat is the star! My wife and I had heard great things about this place. She ordered the Reuben and I got the Italian beef. We were both very happy with our choices. The meat on her Reuben was more chunky but she said it ate like it was shredded. It was tender and great. It came on marble rye bread that wasn't toasted much, if at all. Perhaps due to going in the day after St. Patrick's Day, it had freshly sliced cabbage instead of sauerkraut. Other pictures of their Reuben show sauerkraut so figuring it was a supply thing. She said it was still an excellent sandwich. My Italian beef was stuffed on a great roll. There was a ton of flavor and just the right amount of cheese for a nice blend. I would love some grilled peppers and onions but again, the meat is king and it was fabulous. My wife also noticed the cook wrapping our sandwiches and noted how he was very much a perfectionist about wrapping the sandwiches. This perfectionism carries over to the meat. This is definitely a place to try. It's run by one guy so sometimes it's hard to get through on the phone and sometimes they've been closed or out on deliveries when we've tried to stop in. The wait was worth it!

    Classic Corned Beef Ruben (lean).

The food was succulent and cooked very well. The flavor index is very good and the BBQ sauce is bomb (delightful). The service was very professional and all of our items were served in a timely manner. The restaurant space is small but, it definitely doesn't undercut the food and service. Top Corned Beef is Located in a safe place. I'll definitely be returning for soul food Sunday.

Hard to give them a score. Arrived at 15 minutes prior to posted closing time to find place was locked up and dark. Disappointing.

The waitress came by and gave me a specials breakfast menu and took my order and off she went. She came back with coffee and water and not 8 minutes later brought my biscuits and gravy with eggs and sausage and an extra side if hash browns. It was large enough for me to ask for a to go container to put in half of the biscuits and gravy and half of the hash browns. The balance was consumed and was very good, with plenty of sausage in the gravy over the biscuits. Coffee was reasonable and parking was available right up front.

We both ordered the 3 piece cod dinner which came with a cup of soup, choice of potato, Cole slaw and a basket with bread, crackers and butter. I ordered the chicken and dumpling soup and my husband had the clam chowder. My soup was very bright yellow with a lot dumplings. It was a little salty but good. My husband liked the clam chowder but mostly only broth. We both had fries for our potato choice. The fries and fish were both crispy and good. The fish was breaded not battered. I liked the creamy coleslaw. Not much of a vinegar coleslaw fan so I was happy. The price of $14.99 for the fish dinner I feel was very reasonable. It is not a fancy place, a cozy diner type restaurant. Our waitress was nice and attentive. Overall a good dinner.

Gus clearly loves his job, and it shows in the food and the service. My wife ordered sausage and French toast, which was wonderfully eggy and rich. I got a chorizo breakfast burrito -- delicious, served with a perfect (for me) salsa -- medium heat and rife with cilantro. The place had just opened for the day and we were the only ones there. The place is large and clean; understated but inviting. Gus doted on us, bringing out some freshly fried tortilla chips for me to enjoy with the burrito and salsa. The seasoning on the chips was a nice touch. The burrito was humongous -- too big really, as we had no way to store it, but we're not going to ding a place for that, and if you can take home leftovers, it's two meals for the price of one. Gus is a gem -- a wholehearted, full FIVE STARS for this place.

But once you know where it is, it's easy to find and worth it. I went in during lunch one day and it was quiet. The hours are limited, as they close early afternoon. I had a great conversation with the owners and cook, Gus, and his lovely wife behind the counter. I ordered the lamb gyro plate with the french fries - and Gus said, you can get fries anywhere, try my rice! And so he served up the rice and asked me to try it right then and there. I asked for my feta on the side, and again he was insistent I try it then. The portions are gigantic - it was enough for at least 2 meals. We talked about his background in ethnic cooking. I was impressed they opened up around the time Covid-19 was raging and they've managed to stay in business despite opening up during a difficult time. The food was good, the portions are generous, making it a good value for the money, I enjoyed meeting the proprietors, and I'm looking forward to returning and trying out some of his soups and other lunch items.

They have a good selection of beers on tap and the food menu consisted of your typical pub foods. My friend asked the waiter if they recommended their fish fry or a burger, we came on a Saturday night. He said fish fry if you came in a Friday, burger the other days. I trust his opinion there, she said the burger was great. I had the Philly cheesesteak and was really happy. The hoagie was soft, but toasted. The steak was tender and there was great flavor. The only critique I have is for their cheese curds. The texture and cheese were on point, but it was lacking in flavor, specifically in the breading. Very good experience overall.

A friend and I came just to have a few drinks and the drinks were delicious. I was so super excited to discover that they had my all time very beer; New Glarus Raspberry Tart! Lots of beers on tap! The food looked good but we didn't eat. I'd definitely return! Service was friendly! There is a parking lot but it fills up fast.
