The day we went, there was shrimp fried rice, some spicy deep fried chicken wings, a seafood boil, deep fried shrimp covered in a sweet creamy sauce among other items I didn't eat. All very good. The choices for hot pot and BBQ was food also. Love the ribeye option for BBQ. Meat selection seemed to be higher quality than Shabu Shabu in Robinson. They had matcha and chocolate soft serve they day. Both weren't terribly flavorful, but better than the crappy ice cream cups from Shabu Shabu. Negatives Ordering with a person versus Shabu Shabu where you pick out the ingredients yourself or the hot pot places in Virginia where you can select on an iPad. Because you had to ask the waiter for fatty beef, veggies, etc. it became chaotic as to what you ordered, who ordered what, etc. because you couldn't visually see/remember what you ordered. For example, I ordered 1 chicken for hot pot and somehow the table got 3-4 plates of it. Food waste when relying on another person to take the order. It was loud in the restaurant partially due to the music and the soft-spoken wait staff. The placement of the hotpot temperature dials were in an awkward position--you had to really bend over to see under the table where the dials were buried. read more

WOWZA! This place is so awesome! You start by ordering ANYTHING or EVERYTHING!! You can do just a pot or splurge for the BBQ and Pot. We did the BBQ and Pot option. Everyone at the table must agree to the choice, so talk it over first. You then head to the buffet for some "appetizers". What? Are you kidding? We needed to control our portions as we knew we had ordered a ton of food at the table. The appetizers included Ma Po Tofu, Szechuan chicken, spicy fried chicken, fried rice and more. Then there's the buffet of sauces and toppings. WOW-flavor galore! When we got back to our table our meal choices were already there. We each got out own broth for the bowl portion. We then started our cooking frenzy. We got beef (YUM), lamb (meh), veggies, (delicious), different mushrooms (fun), Odon noodles, ramen noodles, and fish and lobster balls. Spice levels are definitely real! If it says it's spicy-it is! You have two hours to heat and eat-ready...GO! Are you still hungry-go for it! They will bring you out more. Just be careful. They do charge for over-ordering as well as for take-out. Although we were stuffed!! We did pace ourselves and finished all we ordered. Then, you get fruit, cookies and ice cream for dessert. Trust me-don't eat for the whole day. Then, pace yourself. It was so good! The space was hopping too. So much to look at. So much going on. And the wait staff are very nice and helpful. read more

Really fun place! All you can eat dinner for under 50 bucks! You really can't beat the price. If you've never been to a BBQ & Hot Pot, it can be really overwhelming and over stimulating. They brought all the food out at once and it was on a million plates. I wish they would have spaced out the meals or been a little more cognizant of the limited space. I am so happy to have a AYCE hotpot and kbbq spot in the city than to travel to the suburbs. I highly recommend reservations or saving a spot in advance, because my walk in for a table of 4 for a Friday night was about an hour wait. Which is completely normal for a peak time for AYCE! Once seated, we walked through the different broth options for hotpot and after went to create our dipping sauces! The sauce station is after/down the line of the hot bar section and wow they had some amazing choices. The chicken wings with Sichuan/5 spice seasoning a highlight of my meal - I would seriously order these to go sometime. The sauce bar after has a ton of choices and some pre set recommendations which could be helpful for some first timers. All cuts of meat, seafood, and veggies were delicious and perfect. They even have a soft serve machine for dessert after and it was a great end to our meal. We walked out happy, full, and excited to visit again! read more

I have only done KBBQ once in Chicago before but it was nothing like this We really enjoyed the huge variety of food! it was so fun and such a wild experience trying so many different fun foods. My friend and I checked this place out on a Saturday evening. We got there around 7 and we had about an hour-1.5 hour wait. I knocked off a star because I wish you could join a waitlist online as we just were waiting around outside. The weather was great so it wasn't a big deal but it would be annoying if it was freezing cold or raining. But I digress. Our experience at Top Pot & KBBQ was great! I'm a big fan of hot pot so I was excited to check this spot out. We only did hotpot on this visit. They have about 8 different broths to choose from. We were also told we could try another broth during our visit if we wanted. They have a great selection of meats, seafood, veggies, and noodles/dumplings etc to choose from. In addition to the food items you cook at the table, there's also a buffet bar with items like fruit, fried rice, curry, and crab Rangoon that is also included in the price. They also have a sauce bar (my favorite part of hot pot) that you can customize the type of sauce(s) you want to accompany your entree. Top Pot has coverings on the sauce bar which is a nice sanitary addition. They also have a bar that serves alcoholic drinks and bubble tea. Our waiter was super helpful and kind. Because it was so busy there, he didn't come over too often but it wasn't a big deal. They also have complimentary soft serve ice cream that you can get at the end of your meal (or at any part of your meal- no judgement lol). But overall, we had a great experience here. The menu had so much items across from hot pot vegetables, noodles, soup bases, and dumplings, to different types of meat in their kbbq section. I am a big fan of brisket and I never regret ordering it over and over again, and this place does well with serving a great portion each time. Their spicy pork belly was also impeccably seasoned well. The place is huge and there are many seatings but it can definitely get busy especially on the weekends and peak times. I loved the futuristic lights and vibe inside and this is definitely a group activity so bring your friends. There's tons of seating and tables for big groups. I liked the hot appetizers bar in case you're hungry and can't wait a few minutes for them to bring out the things you ordered and the make your own sauce bar really makes this a customizable experience. We got SO many different meats, sides and veggies to share - do yourself a favor and get the beef bulgogi and the Szechuan hot spicy broth. First time here. I've been to one other KBBQ/Hotpot place in Texas. Good service, good food. Soup was good. All of the hotpot veggies and meats were excellent. Pho noodles and vermicelli were both good additions. The KBBQ portion - the ribeye wasn't my favorite. The spicy pork belly was excellent. We tried the spicy calamari, that's one I won't order again, but that's a personal preference. read more

For our first K-BBQ experience, this was definitely interesting! First and foremost, we really liked the buffet offerings! I thought it had one of the best Curry Chicken I've had in a long time, and the green beans were great! The fried rice was good, and the sauce bar was quite extensive. I found it difficult, though, with how big the bowls were that you had to use. I would suggest that they get smaller sauce-bowls, to make sampling easier. This trip, we only tried the bbq. Like I said, that was definitely interesting. Some of the items were difficult to make with a large party because of cook time, so, that tended to be an issue. Also, soon after we started, our grill died. They ended up having to split our party and move a few of us away. I appreciated that they took it serious enough to move us immediately, however, it was for my daughters' birthday, so that was unfortunate. Their Uncle and I sat and celebrated from afar. That, though, is not on them. I'm glad they cared enough not to make us sit there and wait. The meats were good for the most part. All of our party agreed that the Lamb was not very good, though. All mentioned it tasted sour, and they would not get again. We found the place to be clean, unlike a lot of other reviewers. We also went early on a Saturday, so that may have helped with crowd-induced destruction. Service was also great. We do eventually plan to go back to try the Hot Pot experience, and I will update accordingly. read more

I didn't really get an all you can eat experience so that made me deduct stars. Our waiter seemed to go out of his way to avoid us so we couldn't order more meat. We were able to make our initial order and then he never asked us if we wanted anything else. I also have to make a note on the ladies restroom because it was SO dark in there, I could barely see. A decent hot pot experience. The building is beautiful inside and has a modern look. Service was just OK, I felt like I had to wave to get their attention just to get a refill. The food was high quality and very tasty. Make sure that you order everything you think you'll need the first time because getting additional items later took a while. They have a nice sauce bar where you can mix your own ingredients but it does get very messy depending on who is using it. Pork belly seemed a little too thick for my liking. Though rather fat laden, the food was good- I learned NOT to pay until you are actually done- after having trouble getting someone to get refills on BBQ, I visited the ready to eat salad and fruit section... then they brought my bill which I paid, telling them I wasn't quite finished eating. Had such an excellent experience at this newly opened Korean BBQ & hot pot restaurant for Father's Day weekend. There were a few little hiccups and delays seating us, but from that moment on we had a great time nThe food was all fresh, marinated, tender, and delicious. What I noticed really at Top Pot apart from other K BBQ and hot pot places in the area is that there's an included hot app bar alongside the build-your-own dip/sauce station. My whole table agreed that the chicken wings at this bar were honestly some of the best we've ever had. They're crunchy and dusted with a sriracha dry rub. Absolutely delicious! The decor is bright, neon, and welcoming. The only thing I didn't love is that we had to keep going up to the appetizer bar to grab more plates for our table, each time the staff cleared away our dirty ones. Would def recommend! This spot is great!! I love a hot pot and kbbq combo and you can do either and or both here! Prices are reasonable and there's a lot of options to choose from. Love that they have marinated galbi and bulgogi here for kbbq. There is a big meat and seafood selection. They also have a ton of veggie options too which is nice. I love all the tofu types they have. We didn't get to try any of the bubble teas since they ran out. Staff is super nice and everyone seems to be having a good time. The vibes are great since it's very modern and the decor is fun. They also have a hot bar with a ton of food from japchae to fried rice and fried shrimp. The food was good nothing to make me jump out my skin though. The curry shrimp in the buffet bar was prolly the best thing I had there. Steak was average, fried rice was above average. The bad was the server doesn't come around and take the plates you already used, so while your eating plates just pile on the side and it start to look messy fast. Not bad! I do think the place off McKnight is a bit better. Same price point too. The service here was slow. We had to keep asking them to replace our bbq stove after a few minutes. The drinks came out towards the end of our meal (and we were there for a while), so we couldn't even drink them because we wanted to drive home!!!! What a waste. The quality wasn't bad, but I didn't like the crab rangoons. The lemongrass beef and spicy bulgogi were not good. Beef tongue was great! Definitely try it for yourself read more

So fun. As a first time "hot pot bbq'er" I say it was a bit overwhelming looking at the menu. Once explained to us , it was easy to understand. DO NOT ORDER A TON OF FOOD FOR YOUR FIRST ORDER. The point is to order a small amount a few times. There is a buffet as well and the chicken wings and cabbage tasted really good. I also enjoyed the fact there was plenty of booth seating.
