You didn't have to be super athletic, but knowing how to hit a golf ball does make it more fun and help to score more points. My fiancé is a golfer so we love going to top golf! It's usually very quick service, tasty drinks and food, and a lot of fun. We were there last Thursday with our friends and the service was just subpar. We were at our bay for about 20 minutes before our waitress came. When we ordered drinks she got the orders incorrect, and so that part took a bit. Once we placed food orders it did pick up though. She just didn't really come by to fill up waters though. Been here couple times, and recently came for the half price Tuesday with coworkers. They used to have the happy hour menu which apparently no longer exists..! Which was a total bummer. I had an amazing time here the other day. My boyfriend and I came for a date day and figured we would try this place out. For warning please make a reservation because we had to wait 2 hours to get a bay to play. So we waited, had some wings at the bar and I had some mimosas. The mimosas were great. He gotten Parmesan garlic wings and I had gotten Asian zing. Mine were so so good. The chicken itself was great but the sauce made it so much better. His on the other hand tasted sweet which I thought was odd. When it was our time to play we had gotten a text message to go to the bay we were assigned. It was a gorgeous day and there were loads of people here. But our bay was private. There were different clubs for different games they had too. They had different colors for where you would like to aim at best. I also got a blackberry smash while I was upstairs. You can order food and drinks. And they do have a little bar room. For about an hour and a half of play time it totaled to $80 plus tax. Which wasn't bad at all. We had fun and it was worth every penny. They do have a little golf gift shop when you walk in as well. We brought our kids to the Chesterfield location to celebrate birthdays. The food was great and the kids had fun. The service was a nightmare. Our drinks were wrong. We could not get our server to come back for drink refills. All food and drinks were served to the wrong bays. There was an issue with one child's meal, and it took over 45 minutes to get a new meal. We wanted to order donut holes for a birthday treat, but the server would not come back to take our order. The manager came by and gave our kids coupons to come back, but they expire in less than a month. What a joke. Its frustrating to come out and spend over $500 on an evening out just to have crap service. The idea that a server should be tipped 20-25% off the rental of the bay IN ADDITION to tipping 20-25% on food is unacceptable. read more

It's the perfect place to practice your swing and party with your friends or co-workers all at the same time. I'm not a golfer, I tried it once and it just wasn't for me. However, the 19th hole is something I can get into, so I bellied up to the bar for a lunch after some outlet shopping. Like any good golfer, I started out with a craft beer, Boulevard White. As I sipped my beer, I looked over the menu. It was more extensive then I thought it would be. When I frequent a sports bar, I usually choose from one of the following; burger, wings or pizza. After reading the menu, I went with their classic burger and added Pepper Jack Cheese and Pickled Jalapeños. The burger was thick and juicy and topped with shredded lettuce, purple onion and a tomato. I like it when the lettuce is shredded, over just a big single piece of iceberg. The fries were hand-cut in house and still had skins on, nice touch. They served extra crisp and in one of those silver cups, which makes a nice presentation. After finishing my beer, I ordered a Tito's Bloody Mary. After ordering my food, I kept reading the menu and found the cocktail menu. Being a fan of Bloody's I wish I would have ordered this first, it really hit the spot with my burger. The reason I only gave them three stars is because of the service. It was almost zero. To order and to get my second drink, I had to flag the bartender down and so did the man sitting next to me. The servers that come to your bay can be a bit slow but we weren't in desperate need of food/drink and if we were, you can also go to the bar to order. First time here and it was fun. When I walked in it's as described, you get the bowling vibe. Loud music, individual bays. I saw some bring their own clubs but I'm not sure how ideal this is for serous practice. It's a great party outing or something to do with friends. If you have never picked up a club, it's a fun and no pressure environment. We did the target practice game where you got points for hitting the targets. There are some nearby for beginners and some 200 yds away. Onto the food... wings were good. Burger was surprisingly good. We even got the 40oz burger and there was flavor! Topgolf is fun as heck and expensive as heck. That's it. That's the review. I had my first visit here last Thursday night and had a blast! I'm not a golfer and it's been over a decade since I've been to a driving range, but it was still a lot of fun playing the driving games established. This place is to golf, what Lucky Strike is to bowling. If you can imagine what I'm saying by that comparison, then you know there is an upcharge to play here. This is not a cheap date. Me and my boyfriend came here and reserved a bay for just the two of us, we played for an hour and fifteen minutes, had dinner and two cocktails, and paid the first time guest charge of $5 each (this charge is laughable but what can you do?), and the total came to $130 after tip! In case you missed that, allow me to repeat myself: One hundred and thirty dollars for an hour and fifteen minute date! Still, we both really enjoyed ourselves and have been talking ever since about when we're going to come back. This is a great place for social distancing too. Our waiter was really great and helpful, and Topgolf is taking every precaution to make it safe for people to play during Covid which is great. The food was surprisingly pretty good too, and the prices for the food is not expensive. I had a burger and side salad, and my boo had the steak nachos. The food was better than both of us expected it to be. Although I've mentioned how pricey this place is, they do have various promotions and half-priced Tuesday to help give people options for combating the hefty price tag. First time being here on level 1. They really need to have an option when you reserve well in advance to request an upper level. For someone not really into golf but enjoying the games and company of a group, being on the same level as the targets is not any better than being at a driving range that's much cheaper. My wife and I have been here one other time and had fun. After Church on Sunday she wanted to take her son to play topgolf. So we arrived at the venue. We were greeted right away, while it was busy the wait was non existent. We were told our bay number and proceeded to our location. Our waitress was Amazing!!!!!! I don't know her name I am sorry to say but we were in bay 315 on Sunday the 6th at 1 pm. She was so attentive, so nice and very quick with refills for our sodas. She did an amazing job. We had a good time playing for two hours. Even though we aren't very good we still had a blast. While it's not cheap to go there, it's great fun for the family. I don't always post updates when I visit somewhere and experience an entirely different experience, I feel like I need to do the update. I took Hubby here as his Christmas gift the day after Christmas. My cousin and her Hubby also joined us (we surprised them both with the night out gift). Hubby had been wanting to go here for a long time and was jelly when I had the work event here. So this experience is as a regular average consumer... and the experience was TERRIBLE. It was so bad I actually waited to post this review hoping some of my anger would go away... but when I think about how much money I spent and the lacking experience... well its still here. Getting a booth here is crazy hard. So I went online and booked an appointment in advance. Okay - that costs $30 btw and is not refundable. You literally pay for an appointment and it comes with nothing. Okay. They tell you to arrive 15 mins early, which we did. Booth not ready, no big deal. Hubby and I head to the bar area for a drink. We sit at an open bar table. Multiple servers walk past us... no one ever asks if we need assistance. We sat there over 15 mins. I finally go up to the bar where there is an employee. When I walk up he puts his head down and says nothing to me (we are literally right in front of each other, like a mirror). This goes on for an awkward amount of time.... so I finally say "Hi, can you help me". His reply "No,I'm not a bartender" and he starts to walk off. Is this serious?! I ask "is there someone else who can help me?" and he says he doesn't know (there are 2 other employees behind this tiny bar). So 3 employees in the space of a 20 foot bar... but no one knows if they can help me with an overpriced drink. Okay okay. A bartender finally comes over, they don't have Hubby's regular beer, so I get him a bud light and a water for me. Back at my bar table, our guests join us and no one ever takes their order either. For perspective we sat at this bar almost 40 mins. We also watched a server walk around with a tray of the same food during that entire 40 mins because he couldn't find who ordered it. He did stop and ask if we ordered it. When we got to our booth the server was peppy and explained how to play. I thought the experience was headed uphill. We ordered an hour of play time and asked about appetizers which we ended up ordering from him before we started play. I also asked him if they could make a drink -white russian- he said he would find out. Everyone else in our booth ordered beers and bloody mary's he brought those right away. Over 30 mins later and halfway into our play time I still didn't have a drink and we didn't have food. I stopped our server and asked him if he knew how much longer it would be for the food. He replied (paraphrased) "well, ha ha, we are super popular, so the kitchen takes awhile.... I will see if I can get it soon". I let him know we only have 30 mins of play time left and ask if it will be our before our time ends... he doesn't know - orders can take a while he says. We only ordered 3 apps.....? The apps come out about 15 mins later and yes he finally brought my $8 white russian. I could go on...but why bother - you see the experience was ridiculous and noone (bartender, server, front desk employee) I talked to there cared. They all brushed it off. I don't recommend going here and spending your hard earned money. This experience cost $180 with some of the worst service I've ever had. (We ended up extending our play time to 90 mins as we were mid game when our time was ending.) read more

I went to Topgolf in St. Louis for a corporate event. It was my first time to a Topgolf despite living in close proximity to one in New Jersey. We booked a few bays for 3 hours and also a premium food platter. The staff was really helpful and explained how the place worked. There are several games you can play and it was suggested since most of us were not experienced golfers we should play the standard Topgolf game. There is a flat screen where you select a game and everyone in your party needs to login. It's a similar setup to what you'd find in a bowling alley. They supply the golf clubs or you can bring your own. We had a few lefty's that requested lefty clubs and the host brought them over. Topgolf is a driving range that has "targets" that light up different colors and depending on how far the target is and how close you hit the ball to the center of the target, points are awarded. There's a chip in the ball that keeps track of your shots and points which is very cool. It was a chilly night but there were overhead heaters keeping us warm, so I assume this is one of the few outdoor activities you can do in the winter. The food was very good. They rolled out a 2 tier table with shrimp cocktail, mini crab cakes, charcuterie, caprese skewers, meatballs, wings, hummus, pitas, and some olives. I skipped the meat, but everything else was tasty. They also had a decent selection of draft beers, wines, and cocktails. They say you don't need to know how to play golf to have fun here but I disagree. I had a really hard time selecting the right club, hitting the ball straight, let alone hitting the ball without whacking the tee! I'm going to visit my local Topgolf and take a $29 1 hour beginner lesson before I go back. Overall, it's a fun activity to do with a group and I'll go again but not after picking up some basic golf skills. read more

When we got our text that we were up, we went upstairs where our food would be delivered. We didn't realize at that time that our first server would not get any of the tip, only the upstairs one would. That seems wrong, somehow, because it has to happen a lot just because of the way things are set up. One star lost for that reason. We had a very unenjoyable visit tonight at top golf. We are very disappointed with our experience. There was a group of us girls (under 21) with a reservation from 8:15-10:15. When we were booking the reservation, we put in our age and received no warning about the age requirement. We also were sat at the bay and the first floor manager under 10 minutes after we were sat came and immediately told us we needed someone 21 or over to be present. We also know not all of the bays were checked and the manager on the first floor told us all of the bays in the facility were checked. We know people in the building that proceeded to golf after 9pm that were also under the age requirement. We were not refunded for our deposit or for our 10 minutes of "golf" we experienced due to our efforts of trying to find someone 21 or over to be present at our bay. It is not customers responsibility to enforce your policy. We should not have been able to get our entire bay and begin our golfing experience. When we checked in, we should have been made aware of the age requirement in person, not just in fine writing. read more

I have now been to this Topgolf location twice. The first time I went, it was just my wife and me. When we got there, we were told it would be a 3hr wait! They were not kidding. It was a Saturday night, and it was packed. What they did, however, was take my name and phone number. We then went to some local shops to kill time. Half way through the wait, Topgolf sent a text message, to make sure we were still interested. We responded yes, and kept killing time. We returned with about an hour left on our wait. We had some food and a couple of drinks. By then, it was our turn. We spent the next hour having a great time. The second time, I had already learned my lesson. I reserved a bay, which can be done as far out as one week. This time, my wife and I took the kids as well. They are 6, 8, and 12. They have never swung golf clubs before, but still had fun. Here's how it works. You rent out a bay, similar to bowling, that can hold 6 people. When you get to the bay, you meet your server, who explains all of the rules and will bring food and beverages throughout your time. The first time anyone plays, they have to buy a $5 lifetime membership, which is not included in the bay rental. This gives that person a card, which keeps up with stats, and can be used at any Topgolf location. The bay rentals are by the hour, and prices vary depending on day and time. I don't remember all of the prices, but when we went on Sunday morning, it was $25 for the hour. That means with the price being per hour, my family basically paid $5 per person, per hour. We will definitely be not only returning to this location, but also checking out additional Topgolf locations. read more

We had a work outing planned on a cold winter's night, but the outdoor heaters kept us toasty warm! The food was delicious! We tried lots of options...
