The food was hot and fresh, beer was cold, and the waiter/waitress that both helped our group were both nice and attentive.

This was mine and my wife's first time at Top golf and we were looking forward to the experience, but it turned out to be an ok mediocre experience. Let me explain why. First, the front counter experience when you walk in was great. I was assigned to hitting bay 203 between approximately 10:15 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. on 4/21/24. We figured out how to get started pretty easily with computer screen. Second, the waitress we had at our bay was Outstanding. She had a great customer service attitude and was very helpful. Everytime you turned around she was there asking if you needed anything. My wife like her so much she gave her a very nice tip for just serving a coke and coffee. That's how it's done. Now, the not so great experience. After hitting 175 or more balls I asked the wife if she wanted to eat lunch here and she did. So we walk into the second floor bar/restraunt are and asked the young lady behind the bar if we could order food and eat up here and she said yes. So after sitting and waiting for several minutes and no waiter or waitress coming to take our order and there were plenty of them standing around at the bar, my wife went up and ordered at the bar. She came back telling me the young lady behind the bar had a very snooty attitude. I told my wife, uh oh this may not be good and yep it wasn't. After about 30 minutes of no food or acknowledgement from the girl who took our order, I told my wife that's it time to go not waiting any longer. Obviously they don't want my money anymore, so we went elsewhere and got served in exactly seven minutes. Now that's customer service. In closing I may come back to hit balls, but I will pass on the restraunt experience. read more

Everything is way cool. Long wait for the driving range, up to 4 hours so reserve early. Great inside space, seating for over 1000. Bar food, good, inexpensive. BUT, how bout $9.00 for a six ounce glass of Chardonney. Local beer is $5 bucks and up. Great place for a fun golf time but be ready for that crazy priced alcohol. Also, no happy hour. read more

Service was very slow. We waited 20 minutes from the time our game started until we had drinks served. They were out of food items and drinks. The software for the game was agonizingly slow. The server didn't organize who ordered what and the tab was a mess. Very difficult experience. I wonder what the managers were doing while all the bartenders struggled to get drinks made properly and didn't solve the out of stock items. I'm sure the marketing person will post below this on yelp to ask what they could do better but the first impression is the lasting impression. If you don't solve it initially, recovering is almost impossible. The franchise better sort out the local management or it could become a very costly mistake. Came here hoping it was going to be fun and was so disappointed. We got to our bay and someone who I'm guessing was the waitress came over to greet us and only asked for what we wanted to drink (didn't offer to help us get our game started after she clearly saw we were struggling; first time coming here) and then when she brought our drinks over we ordered some apps and literally NEVER saw her after that. We didn't get any silverware or napkins to use, never asked if we wanted refills for anything and then when our game was just about over she came over and dropped the check and was fast about running our card for payment. For the $185 we spent to golf for an hour and a half and have subpar, not so great food, we thought the experience would have been way better but it was la very mediocre and I'm pretty sure we will never be back. read more

If you are planning a day out at Top Golf with friends, I'd pick another place. I apent 223$ and was there for an hour and a half. The golfing area was not busy and there were several empty tables next to us after we were finished with our golf game. The waitress cashed us out without asking us, and after about 10 minutes, the Hospitality Manager asked us to leave there area and move to the lounge. Still had half pitcher of beer to finish. We left it needless to say, and we won't be back. That's a lot of $$ to spend to be asked to leave an area, especially when there is no one there. Really disappointed with the experience. I travel for work a lot and the one in Louisville is not like that at all. read more

This review is in regard to hosting a corporate event. We are extremely dissatisfied with the lack of communication from our sales representative. We booked an event for a "tentative" amount of people. Our Sales Rep knew that number was going to change, but she did not follow up within a time period that would allow us to adjust our number of attendees. When we called to adjust the number we were told that we were only allowed to change the number by 20%. This caused us to pay for an extra bay as well as 8 more people than would have been in attendance. We ended up paying around $3,000 for 16 people in attendance!! Which is around $176 per person for food and golf, no alcoholic beverages were purchased! Unfortunately, it seemed like our sales rep was more Interested in getting her commission rather than supporting our needs and following up in a timely manner. We are extremely dissatisified with the service that we received from their sales department. read more

Crooks. They don't do good business, it's their way or the highway. Tried to reserve a room for a meeting with golf after. Wanted the room for 4 hours, they sent me the contract, all is well. Then 3 days before the event they called and said I had to pay for an extra hour and a half, not what my co tract said but they changed it on their end. On top of that they said we had to leave the room 2 hrs early for another even they had but we're still making us pay for it... 2 stars cause the gold is still fun, but forget thinking they care about you, they just want your money. read more

Attention to all parents of teens. DO NOT let your teenager work at Top Golf. It is a hostile environment if your child does not act the way they expect them too. During school time they work them more than it is legal in Tennessee. And nothing is ever confidential. If something happens there everybody knows. I will not even give this company money. Wow. I've been to several Top Golf locations and have had great experiences. Here it was the exact opposite. The staff are downright rude. A friend of mine called to reserve some bays for the following night. She told the person on the phone that there would be several people and that all would be eating and drinking but not all would be playing. They said that was fine that we could just hangout in the bay areas. Great! We get there and everyone's ordering drinks and starting to play and then we are told we have too many people in our parties. We had two bays and plenty of seating for everyone. Not one person was in the isle or causing issues. They said we had 2 too many people. TWO! So they made two of us go to the bar and leave our parties. This should have been communicated with her when she booked the bays. They should've told her there was a limit and suggest 3 bays or anything of the sort but we were told it would be fine. On top of that the waiters and waitresses we had acted like they would rather be anywhere else but there and we were all ordering a substantial amount of food and drinks. We tip heavily and we treat our servers with the most respect. However we didn't get that courtesy in return. I would highly recommend you not come here with a party larger than 4 because they clearly cannot handle it. read more

Topgolf is a much needed addition to the things to do around Knoxville! Using the app and the lifetime $5 membership makes it really easy to reserve a bay in advance and setup players in your group. Just know that it's pricy and you won't be caught off guard, but most activities like this in the area are. The employees are all very friendly and helpful, the servers who work at your bay can answer both food questions and game questions. Each time I've been the employee would ask someone else and come back promptly with an answer if they didn't know. The food is really good too which was a little unexpected! Food pricing is fair and service is quick. I love that each bay has heaters to keep player's comfortable and I'm told they also have air conditioning or fans for summertime. Even if you aren't a golfer you can still enjoy a good time at topgolf because they have games like angry birds that aren't just how far or hard can I hit the ball. Overall topgolf is a really fun time and I love going! read more

Every top golf experience I have had In my life has been great. We got there on time with our reservation.. sat down and ordered.. got our food; and it was good. However as soon as we finished our game they kicked us out! After spending 240 dollars on food... THEY KICKED US OUT!!! like what?!? It's not like we were there for hours on end. We played a 1 hr long game and ate the last 15 min of that game. And with our food half way finished they asked us to leave.. was not a good experience. Service was terrible. Came with some friends our first time at a Top Golf wasn't sure how to set the game up at first got some help played for 2 hour game , finished game still had 20 mins remaining didn't know we were able to start a new game then server came over and started a new game for us but we wasted 10 mins of our game time. Arrived at 6:04 and didn't get a spot until 7:48 after being told we had a 15-30 minute wait. When I inquired at the one hour point I was told, "it'll be no more than another 15 minutes, I promise." Went with my husband (a former PGA golf professional) and our two young kids this morning for the first time. We didn't bring our 4 sets of clubs in from the car because weren't sure if we were supposed to bring our own or if they provided them. We were super stoked to try it out since my brother and sister and law have raved about Top Golf (they live in Atlanta) to us for a long time. We arrived at 10:30am, got signed in and then we were told it was 2.5 hour wait to play. There were no reservations available online last night so we were considered 'walk in's'. We hadn't seen the new facility yet so decided to look around and were super disappointed to see only about 10% of the bays were in use. The parking lot reflected this estimate as well. We asked if the wait time was because they didn't have enough servers on staff since we really just wanted to play and didn't plan to eat there this visit. We were told that wasn't it and that the bays were all "reserved". My husband asked to speak with manager and he also stated the open bays were all "reserved". He asked "so you are expecting 150 people to walk through the doors in the next 30 minutes" and the manager laughed at him. Its perplexing to me what the motivation is in making people wait and I don't buy that that many people reserved lanes and didn't show. We noticed the pricing changes after 12pm so we assume this is just a ploy to make more money and increase perceived demand. But maybe they are just poorly staffed...or didn't want to have a bunch or kids or novice golfers there. Regardless, their business model is deplorable and honestly strikes me as pretty sketchy. We went to the driving range instead. No wait time and finished up before our bay would have been ready. Oh and we didn't bring our sunglasses so we bought 3 pairs and went to the driving range for less than the cost of the 2.5 hour wait bay. We won't be going back or endorsing them to our clients. We have been to top golf multiple times and always had a great experience. This time was completely different. It started out as a wonderful experience until our waitress Kelsey treated us like an issue. I work as a manager in the service industry and know how things work. Everywhere we go we tip very well but we didn't tip a cent. We had already paid half of our game play and the staff had cancel our reservation before we even got there. We were there ten minutes early. So when it came bill time the serve yelled at us and told us we didn't know how it worked. We had proof of the reservation that we attended as well as proof top golf had already taken $120 out of our bank account. My dad asked her a question and she snapped throwing her hands in his face. In which point the manager came over after we told her to leave and go get one. His name was Parker and he was great but, kelsey if you're going to be in the service industry and expect a tip then don't be a complete asshole every time we order a drink or ask for napkins. read more

I went to top golf last week for a friends birthday. Our server's name was Stephanie. The service was terrible. She started to try and flirt with my friend who was hosting the party. He was a pretty good looking guy so I don't really blame her but when he made it CLEAR that he was not interested she still persisted with hitting on him. We eventually just started ignoring her and we ordered food. It was a pretty standard order. (Some wings, fries, and a few drinks) Our food took almost half an hour to get to our table. I turned around with her bringing our food. She was bent over one of the cups with her lips puckered looking like she spit in our drinks. One of our more unathletic friends went up to the tee. He swung and completely missed the ball. Stephanie was a few meters behind us and I heard her start laughing insulting manner. We didn't leave her a tip due to the bad service but we did tip a different server ( Makenzie I think her name was). We gave her a twenty because she refilled our drinks for us because she saw what Stephenie did. Overall it was a pretty terrible experience and I most likely will not be returning. read more

This is my first experience I've ever had at top golf. And I have never had more fun going somewhere golf related. I went with my daughter and we had a server that explained every detail to us and answered every question we had. He checked in on us frequently and brought out our food hot and fast, it's almost better than most restaurants you could go to. Not a long wait either. Overall that was an awesome experience and will definitely be coming here again. If your looking for somewhere to spend time with family and friends, then definitely come here. read more

Literally caught the bartender stealing from me! I ordered a double Jack and diet short. Server comes back and says "I don't know why he made it a tall, I told him short." She walks away and i follow. Then I see him strain the tall drink into a short glass and add ice. When I confronted him he was angry and slammed the glasses around when he had to make me the drink I'm paying for! He was literally stealing from a customer!!! read more

I've come here quite a few times. This time we had a waitress (Kortney) with a bad attitude that didn't seem to want to work and spent most of her time speaking to other employees. I think people forget to take me "to ensure performance" ...After my wife asking if she wanted to be here or if we should ask for another waitress she seemed to sober up and gave us some "smiles" and show she was in a better way. So my new deal is to NOT tip unless they deserve a tip. Take notice waiters and waitresses times are a changing. She tried a bit after so she got a tip, but it was about 1/2 of what it would have been. Btw, they charged us for "new memberships, all 4 of us and we'd all been there and we canceled a drink and still got charged for it. Bonus info, the greeter (Cameron) was not happy we wanted to play in the top level after he put us at the bottom level. How can you play "Top Golf" from the bottom level..?!?? Lol read more
