I'm writing this review to highlight a recent incident when me and my coworkers left Topgolf and one of them forgot their ray bans on the table. We called to let them know we were only five minutes away and coming back to get them because they should have grabbed them when clearing the table. It seems that the waiter did his job and brought them down to the front desk but when my coworker walked in to pick up the glasses he noticed the person behind the desk taking glasses off their head and then attempting to slide them under the desk. My coworker confronted her quickly and got his glasses and left not to cause an issue. Be sure you watch your stuff at this place. read more

Came here with some co-workers for a team outing and really enjoyed myself. There was plenty of parking spots, albeit narrow spaces and room to drive through the lot. There is an employee at the door to instruct you as to which line to go in as you enter (one line for parties with a reservation and one for those that don't have a reservation), as well as a hand sanitizer station. All employees also had masks on which was a plus and those working the registers also had protective glass up between themselves and the customers. After getting through the line, you are able to find your party easily since each bay is numbered. Each bay had a plastic partition that further kept groups distant from one another helping to make things safer. Food/drinks were pretty expensive but didn't deter from the experience of being able to get some shots in the air at various targets littered throughout the range. It was super fun and challenging trying to hit my ball in a specific spot. One tip I would encourage all TopGolf franchises to implement would be sanitary wipes for the clubs at each respective bay, just to further prevent the spread of bacteria. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at TopGolf and definitely recommend going in a large friend group or party. read more

There's something about golfing with friends while eating and drinking that could easily keep you here all day. This is the second top golf I've been to and I was disappointed in the fact that they didn't have the ball projection tracker (so if you lost the ball in real life you could just watch the screen + easier for the rest of the party to watch) This one only shows where if you end up in one of the targets and then your points. This is the reason for the lost star. Other than that it was great. We didn't have a reservation for a Friday night but utilized the waitlist in the app and got a bay in 15 minutes. We were able to check in to the waitlist before even arriving which is an amazing although I know it's not available at every location yet. If you have more than 2-3 people buy more than an hour - the first hour goes by incredibly fast, especially if you're eating and drinking. We didn't have any lefties with us this trip but usually they have a set if you ask. Food is typical bar food. Servers are great, always around and check in multiple times. They give a military/healthcare worker discount and it looks like Tuesdays are half-off games read more

The place does an awesome job operating under covid precautions. Very impressed with the way the sanitized each bay after each parties use. The manager on duty was great. Sadly service was awful. It took about fifteen minutes for our canned drinks to arrive, It took an hour to get a food order in (we actually had to flag over three manager). Was not crazy busy. We paid 25 dollars to reserve the bay, please make note that this does not come off the bill you are simply paying to make a reservation. I've been to several other top golf locations and overall this one falls far below the others. read more

My daughter suggested this place because they had played at the one in Las Vegas and loved it, so I said okay lets go. It was a birthday surprise for my other daughter. She loved it! It was very nice, the people were nice and our waitress (Isabella P.) was very pleasant. She checked in on us often and was very knowledgeable about the products and the place. The atmosphere was very upscale and even though it was crowded it didn't feel like there was people standing over your shoulders. You had you own space and it was very clean and neat. Staff came around often to clean, I guess because of the Corona virus. Overall I would definitely recommend this place if you have not been before or go again of you have. They are opening one in Baltimore I think across from the Horseshoe Casino, so that should be good with one closer than DC and Laurel. read more

Got there, girl at the desk was awesome. Got last bay 234. Had server clean the table, then didn't see him for 20min. When he came, carded us first, with no 'sorry for the wait' then, came back with a vodka soda, with no soda.... we asked for the manager, who was awesome. She got me the other part of my drink. This was a perfect place for our family of four to celebrate my daughter's birthday. They did a very good job of managing COVID safety. When I faced the green, club in hand, fans blowing away the hot day, music playing, I felt really good. That's not an easy thing to do, being out during a pandemic. The venue is fairly new so it feels clean and modern. I was a little put off by the food prices, but it was excellent so I have no regrets. Service was friendly albeit disorganized (water came long after my husband's beer; napkins had to be requested some time after food arrived; they kept offering us someone else's drink order). Unprofessional, disorganized, and utterly embarrassing. We had a reservation scheduled for 12:30pm and arrived at 12:20pm (10 mins prior to our reservation). Went to the front desk to check in and were told there is a "water issue" so they would not be able to open the bays until 1pm (30 mins after our reservation). We were never provided with an email or text alert for a heads up, there was never an explanation as to what the "water issue" is, nor how a "water issue" affects us hitting golf balls but we patiently waited until 1pm. Ourselves, as well as another 7+ parties, were waiting in the lobby for an update from one of the associates since it was now 1:05pm. No one gave us any sort of clarification/update, so I had to go up to the front desk to ask myself. They informed me that "it will just be another 5 minutes." Although extremely frustrated, we waited another 5 minutes. Now it was 1:13pm and still no update from any of the employees/managers. In the interim, the employees were doing dance moves and joking/laughing amongst themselves at the check-in counter while they have over 20 frustrated guests waiting in the lobby. I've never seen such unprofessionalism in my entire life. They then let in about 10+ guests that had a reservation for an event. I asked why they were able to get inside and play but we (plus the other, now, 10+ parties waiting in the lobby) were not able to go to our bays... They just referred back to the "water issue." I asked them how this water issue affects us hitting golf balls and the best answer they could provide was that they don't want anyone to use the bathrooms because of liability... So I told them they can just lock/close off the bathrooms and let us go to our bays if that's the case. 5 minutes later (now 1:30pm) they opened the doors and allowed everyone to go to their bays. It's rediculous that they could not figure this out themselves. If my friend and I had not said anything, we would have been waiting in that lobby for god knows how long. Fast forward to when we get to our bay, the manager came by and apologized for the wait and gave us a $10 gift card (which equates to about 10-12 minutes of play time). This was the most backhanded "sorry" I have ever received considering my friend and I took off work 2 hours early to be able to start at our reserved time (12:30pm) and had to wait 1 hour to officially start. The least we would expect is a free hour of gameplay, not just a $10 gift card. This is truly the worst experience I have ever had, not only at Top Golf, but at any establishment in general. read more

Good News first , the scenery is very nice , bar, TVs mounted along the wall and at the bar area , there's a nice dining area ,WAIT TIME was not as long as expected , Outside seating in the "bay" area is spacious , While PLAYING I had a great time , the hour kind of goes by fast though, make sure you ask how to play and how the points are determined now the bad news the FOOD was 4/10 I went with a group we had the nachos , the flatbread pizza , wings, fries and drinks . The nachos came with like 8 big chips , a little weird , beans were refried beans like smashed beans , the Asian zing wings were great though , fries (where can you go wrong ‍) now the flatbread pizza had a slice of tomato as a "pepperoni" and the a ball of mozzarella cheese on top of that (there's not much of description of what you're ordering ), the two DRINKS we had were the frozen spiked lemonade (mango flavor) , and Trop fruit MAI TAU , they tasted horrible , like it had alcohol but it wasn't strong but it still tasted bland like no flavor , just terrible 1/10. SERVICE 4/10 front desk and organization was great and accommodating , now at the bay they will ask for a card to "put on file just in case anything goes wrong " they don't mention that anywhere else including the "FAQ" on the website , so that was weird. Booked an event here. Great venue terrible service. Guests arrived front desk were clueless. Food arrives right off the bat and had to ask for drinks which appeared 20 minutes later .BTW food ordered and requested in advance and ok'd by kitchen was not delivered. Guests place order for more drinks. Drinks never come. Have to request drink order again. Order extra food, old food never taken away. Ask for birthday cake to be brought out...cake brought out 10 minutes before time is over..promised blow out singing ..not really. Guests had 1to remove food to make room for cake. Had to ask for plates for cake twice.. Then rudely was told to pay more money to extend time or ask my guests to take their cake and eat it in the common area. The bill comes and I was promptly reminded to tip my event host. I am a great tipper. When service is provided. Sorry service was terrible and totally did not meet my expectations. Sadly, I was unable to enjoy my husband's 50th because I was put in charge as event hostess. Never again. read more

Next time will hit from mid-level bay, think it would be better for playing games and less anxiety about hitting from top. Food was good and for good price. I been to the Topgolf in National Harbor and decided to check this location out yesterday with a group of coworkers. I agree with previous reviews on being a perfect spot for casual date nights, hanging with a group of friends or coworkers, or celebrating birthdays. It is highly recommend that you reserve a bay in advance. (Reservation fee ranges from $5-$25 depending on the day & time you book.) Walk ins are allowed, but expect a long wait especially during the weekends or peak times. There is a one time $5 fee membership fee for new players. I would suggest that you make an account before going. Games are a bit pricey (the prices range from 35-55 per hour per bay during the week & is higher on weekends) . If you would like to save money, on Tuesdays games are half priced. Each bay accommodates up to 6 players. Now on to the food, I had the All American burger (w/ a veggie patty) and it was decent. The spiked Strawberry lemonade was good (although it could be a tad bit stronger). Our bay host/server was great. I will come back whenever I am in the area. read more

First time at the Germantown Topgolf. The night overall was fun, but did have a hiccup with communication. Took an hour for us to receive our bay, when the expected wait was about 30 minutes. Had to approach the front desk (where 4 employees were just standing not doing too much) 3 times before they figured it out and assigned us a bay. And only because a manager was then present. As we approached our bay there was a group seated there already being served food. We double checked the monitor at the bay and sure enough my name was listed. Turns out they assigned the bay before the previous group had left, which meant they were way out of their process. We had to awkwardly wait as they asked the group to leave, as they were still eating. I would've asked for another bay, but it was busy and another wasn't available. We waited about another 5 minutes for them to clean the bay before we were able to get set up. Overall we had a fun night and management helped out by covering the first hour of play. I appreciate that they took responsibility for the mistake, but it was very disorganized. I would go back with hope it was just an off night. read more

Overall my experience was just alright, the wait time was to be exact 15 minutes as they told us. And having said it was not a huge holiday I guess, but it was international women's day. The place is nice and clean and all. What I did not like is that, i knew we only had about 5 min left and while we were wrapping everything up I was still trying to finish my food and the waiter came to tell me to please grab my food and stand on the side......like I'm sorry but I think there should be at least a 15 min period from when your time is up to finish up your food and drinks you don't just come to someone's table and rush them out while they have food in their mouth. read more

I'm not much of a golfer and if you aren't either rest assured you will still have a blast at Topgolf. My friend had a birthday party at this new Germantown location last Saturday and we had a blast. Four lanes were reserved and it was catered with a buffet of appetizers. The service was great, the food was good, and the area was modern, comfortable with lots of seating. For snacking we had meatballs, charcuterie,crab cakes, pot stickers all kinds of stuff. I didn't have high hopes for the food but honestly everything tasted great. The staff was on it too, ensuring the buffet was full and the food was hot. Drinks were constantly refilled and I don't have any complaints. The place gets very popular so it would be a good idea to try to reserve a time slot in advance if you can. This is a great venue for a small get together, golfer or not. I didn't hit a single golf ball because I was late to the party but still had fun eating, socializing, and lounging around. Came on opening night, we ordered food as soon as we sat down, nachos and a grilled chicken sandwich. The food took literally 35 minutes to come and the nachos were cold, the chicken was actually raw!!! We obviously let our waiter know, who also had not come back the whole time, we had to find him. The positives: 1) facility is clean 2) the food was surprising good and the prices were reasonable. 3) the online reservation process was easy and they accommodated our request to get a lower level bay 4) it is a great concept for ones who want to do more than miniature golf but aren't into playing a course. The negatives: 1) I was charged a $25 reservation fee. This fee totally caught me off guard, there was no indication a fee would be assessed when I made the reservation 2) our reservation was at 1pm, by the time we got to the bay it was about 1:15. The servers first question was what kind of food/drinks do we want before we even started to play the games. After I told him we'll order after we start playing, he quickly walked us through the games but we were already 20 minutes into our time. At $34 per hour for the bay, it seems like the clock should start when the first ball comes out vs. the reservation time. Also, he forgot about my $10 coupon when I got the bill. 3) We played the Topgolf game where each player got 20 hits -- we did 5-7 swings at a time which worked out well. However, it was not clear how the points are computed. I suggest making hard copy sheets available at the front desk, i.e., how many points for the 60-yard shot in the middle vs. the 150-yard shot in the middle. I am a pretty serious golfer so I will not return to the facility unless the Toptracer tracking technology is available. The distances posted on the screen are not accurate for different ball flights. read more

Discriminatory against minors. We waited over an hour when told it'd be only half an hour wait and due to that, my friends and I could not golf to our full potential because of time constraints considering minors are not allowed after 9. Worst customer service experience I've ever received! We tried reserving more than 2 bays for 15 guests and Matt did absolutely nothing to accomodate my needs, he kept repeating their rules and policies. After requesting a call from the Operations director, Alex, I was told he wasn't in and that they didn't know his schedule. After they hung up on me twice, I insisted to hold while they check his schedule, then he magically appeared on the other side of the phone, As I was telling my side of the story to Alex, he kept wanting to interrupt so he can repeat the same thing Matt said then threatened to end the call if he couldn't say what he wanted. Website is unclear. Called and held for 20 minutes to get someone named "Lynn" who was rude and knew NOTHING about Top Golf Germantown. Made online reservation at 6:00 am and couldn't change it without "calling the store"...which opens at 10:00 so had to keep it. Got there at 1:00 ordered food and drinks at 1:15. Did not even get our waters until 2:00 (after asking everyone who walked by us). Service was horrible!
