Top Golf advertises that they give discounts to "heroes" and they name military, police, and even teachers as "heroes" who are to get a discount there "all the time." But it isn't true at all. I am a veteran, a former policeman, and a retired school teacher. I served nearly four years in Iraq and Afghanistan. I emailed to see what they need from me to get a discount and they acted like I was an idiot. First they said they did not understand my question. I asked again, "Will my Defense biometric IDentification System card be enough proof?" The rude response was, "You cannot combine discounts and there is only one per bay." and there was a list of restrictions that were just about every situation i could even imagine when the discount was invalid. So I tried one more time to ascertain whether my DBIDS card proving I was retired from the DOD was enough for them (It is at Lowes and not at Home Depot, for example). And I got "My reply was in English. IF you have Identification that says you are due a discount we will accept it." Whatever that means. So while I would love to take my family out there for a fun evening, I can't even see me going there without getting into a fight with someone there just trying to get treated fairly. Had a 2-hour reservation for 10 people. Showed up half an hour late, but all was fine. Ten minutes into our session, they boot us out of our reserved bays. Why? Because they said they had some bigger party coming and wanted multiple in a row. Super annoying. But not only did they boot us out of our reserved spot, they moved us to the two crappiest bays they had. Top floor, all the way to the right. Our games were restarted, and we had to input everyone's information all over again. They said they would give us a discount, but that turned out to be false--what we did get is a free hour, next time we come. Which will of course be never, and even if we were to come back, it would just be more profit for them. So: they just kicked us around without giving us anything for it in return. Upon complaining, they at least give us central bays. But all the kiosks were screwed up because these new bays weren't tied to our reservation. So for every single person who signed up, they wondered who was going to pay for each new person. Great question. Well, they said "they'll fix it on the backend". Very fun to trust people who don't even keep reservations. At 25% capacity, they had absolutely no reason to kick us around. It's just gross incompetence. We were late for our reservation, but they had my deposit, and would not have stayed past the original end time. So there was no reason to kick us out of our reserved spot, especially when we had already started playing. tl;dr They boot us around despite a reservation, gave us the worst bays, lied to us about getting a discount, and wouldn't hear anything about it. Management and everyone was great. Love the environment and have been plenty of times. Nice spot although it's pricey; I expected it to be. I prefer that versus a cheap spot with bad crowd. This seemed great and there's days to get better deals. When I go with adults I prefer evenings but if you're just taking children for fun then I'd suggest finding the earlier time slots. It's best to reserve your bay as they call it. We made a mistake a few times of showing up. That's fine but be expected to wait or not play as long as you want. Some guests get annoyed of that but of course they have to give priority to those who booked the bay first. I understand! It's busy anytime I've been so if you have to wait just enjoy a drink at the bar or check out their dining area. I've also been when they had events or people celebrating special occasions. This would be perfect if you have teens who need to have a field trip or birthday. Adults love it too and use this spot for group parties. Topgolf joined the OKC area a few years back and brought with it the now established Chislom Creek district. I enjoyed attending in its early years as service was always impeccable. I am not a golfer but do enjoy a good hour or two hour session with friends. I love that they are no right across from a ton of fabulous restaurants, bars, and establishment just a short walk away. When walking into Topgolf can be a bit intimidating especially if you aren't sure what you're doing it quickly because a fun place to hang out with friends. I give this location three stars because finding an open port can be hard at times -- that being said do set aside reservations so you are not left waiting an hour or two. The service is always good but not great. Staff is friendly however, it does take a while to have your order taken, rung in, and delivered to you. I do enjoy their tunes, appetizers, and drinks. Since I usually appear without a reservation I find myself waiting about an hour or two till a bay is available. By then, we are left to golf after 10pm usually which isn't bad. Usually once it's so late the tend to let you play till close regardless of the hour regulation. Topgolf however is a great place to go on a first-date, fun with friends, or even fathers day. But again, be sure to set a reservation far in advance -- especially for fathers day. read more

I secretly love Topgolf. There I said it. I don't golf, and I'm terrible at it, but it is fun to just go and do something more than eat and sit. I get to do a lot of things I enjoy, thanks to my job and dozens of friends who work hard to see each other and spend time together. There are manicures and brunch dates, lake walks and kids playdates in my life. The women in my life are social, and into planning stuff to do together, so my dance card is always full of ways to be with my people, while also doing the stuff we need and want to do. My husband, not so much. He has just a few close friends, and they are all dudes, so no one plans social outings or get togethers. Sometimes in the summers his guy friends bring their kids over to swim and we grill dinner, but during the other 8 months a year, he doesn't see his friends much. So it's fun when there are a few things I can either suggest he go do with his friends, or the wives can conspire to all go out together. Even better when it is something we all enjoy, like a Thunder game, or Topgolf. It's a chance to be outside-ish (albeit with heaters if needed), drinks in hand, servers at the ready. While the women chat, the guys get caught up with golf, and teasing each other, and then all the sudden the guys are talking for real and catching up. And then, of course, there are donut holes. I am definitely a huge fan of Topgolf! The OKC location while I'm glad they are here in OKC does not compared to the Dallas location one bit. I first visited Topgolf in Dallas, Texas and it was incredible! At the time my husband and I were dating and we took a day trip to Dallas. We played miniature golf while waiting for our names to be called to golf. Their miniature golf was huge and gorgeous with a waterfall. It took over hours to play and we were not quite done when our names were called. We ordered appetizers while we golfed and it was such a perfect evening. I remember secretly praying we would have one in OKC and God is good because he answered my prayer. The OKC location here is quite busy and popular all the time! I can think of a handful of events that was held at Topgolf in OKC for friends and me. I love coming here and I love the drinks selection and the creative appetizers they have. The donuts are pretty good and the fillings injectable concept is fun. The pizza, chips, queso, and salsa are honorable mentions. It's a great place for groups, celebrations, and dates in my opinion. It is engaging and friendly not just for adults but for all ages. I wish they have more kids friendly activities like the Dallas location, but I'm going to take what I can get here. To top it off with a cherry on top for what Topgolf has to offer, there are beautiful and amazing restaurants nearby with very good options for meals. As an amateur golfer myself, I quite enjoyed the mini-games that you can play which levels the playing field a little bit against some of my more experienced friends. We also came on a colder night so the overhead heating was much appreciated! The staff were exceptionally friendly and the place observed Covid rules with masks and dividers between each party. If you like golf and socializing, this is the place for you. I've been a few times and I've enjoyed my experience each time. I gave 4 stars since I feel like the food is lacking. Portions are really small and overpriced. Service is okay if they aren't too busy either. I used to love their frozen mule, but have found that OKC location does not have this particular drink. Although I didn't actually play, I was still charged after the bay attendant said he'd remove the charge (I held a 5 month old the entire time we were there). The food was subpar with the exception of the burgers, which came out raw and the bay attendant attempted to argue with our group about the food. Thankfully, the kitchen manager rectified that issue. The buffalo chicken dip...had a fishy taste which was off putting and no "buffalo" flavor. The attendant seemed annoyed after asking us how the food was and getting the reply of "it's interesting". The company I work for holds multiple Platinum memberships across the Country and there has been a very obvious decline with Management quality at the OKC location. Our bay wait staff was great, but the way we were treated by TopGolf leadership after they botched our team builder has really changed how I view TopGolf as a whole. The manager wouldn't even talk to us or try to fix the issue, he just hid in his office and let a large customer wait an hour before opening up the bays we scheduled well in advance and SHOULD have had on retainer, as per the Platinum membership. We were one of maybe 4 groups in all of the facility, by the way, so bandwidth was not the cause. There are now a ton of options for companies to plan and execute team builders in OKC, I recommend finding somewhere that is worthy of your budget and will treat you like a valued customer, not someone who can't even exit their office to provide the most basic of customer service in resolving an issue. read more

We used to frequent this place often, it was top notch, but in the last year we have only gone a handful of times due to our experiences slowly going downhill. Went yesterday and wasn't impressed again. Very inattentive waitress, got the three adult entrees we ordered wrong in some way. Minor ways but still, we just at them, fries were also cold. Drinks for kids were brought in adults sizes and we were charged $3.79 for each kid drink even though they ordered kids meals. Had to ask for kids drinks that I gladly filled myself to avoid them spilling them. Asked for pickles on the side (each adult entree came with pickles) and we were charged $4 for sides of pickles. My son's adult entree didn't come out with ours, it came out 15-20 minutes later after we told her it was missing. It came out wrong. Never brought utensils. Had to ask for refills. Ketchup empty on two tables.. lots of little details that make a good experience were missed in my opinion. The clubs were not the best condition but not that big of a deal since we could have just brought our own. Two bathroom stalls out of toilet paper and out of paper towels both times I went. I noticed it was not that busy on a Saturday night and I think that says something considering this place used to be packed. We went to Chisholm creek after and the kids had a great time. I've been to this particular Topgolf enough times now that I'm able to say with some confidence that I get how it works. To clarify, I'm not saying that I know how golf works, because I suck so much at golf. But I am pretty good at being all Happy Gilmore and going the distance with no consideration for things like... aim, subtlety, or skill. A couple of my visits were to just whack some balls with friends, and a couple times were because of a party or event. I'm now realizing that Topgolf succeeds as a concept in spite of its own stupid rules, because really, who else does something like this? No one. So they get to make the stupid rules, or change the prices, and we'll go along with it if we want to hit some balls while listening to Rihanna blaring in the background. [] Things I Like [] + The customer service is good. I've only interacted with decent human beings at this particular Topgolf. Hopefully this is always true. + The food is okay. I've tried a few things now, like the Mexican Sushi (Mushi), Fried Chicken Sandwich, Pulled Pork Sandwich, and the Injectable Doughnut Holes. And they've all been fine. Prices aren't ridiculously bad (nor ridiculously good). But none of it is stuff where you're going, "Ohhhhh mannn, I can't wait to go to Topgolf so I can eat that thing that only they have!" In fact, their semi-unique menu item (Mushi) is probably one of the boringest things on the menu. + There are balls. You whack them. They go flying. Or they don't, because you misjudged and missed. I'm a fan of TopScore, because... I just... hit the ball, and I tend to get points despite the lack of me aiming or whatever. TopScramble is fun too if you have the full six people per bay. I'll sometimes swipe the sensor with the club multiple times so that I have five or six balls ready and waiting, but it looks like you don't get points when you do that. If you care about points, then... don't do what I do. [] Things I Don't Like [] - The amounts you can load onto your membership card are preset options, so if you don't add the right amount the first time you load money (like $45 for one hour in the evening), you are likely to always carry a balance on your membership card thereafter. Which gets under my skin for some reason. This means that every person who has ever played at Topgolf will die at some point with unspent money on their membership card; and it's not transferrable to someone else (to the best of my knowledge). To quote from Half Baked, "Man, this is some bullsh*t! Boo this man! Boooo!" It just seems wasteful of people's money. But I'm sure Topgolf doesn't care. My husband and I have been to Topgolf in Las Vegas NV, Tampa FL and now Oklahoma City OK. It is seriously so much fun. We went on a Tuesday. Christmas Eve to be exact. On Tuesdays they have 1/2 price golfing. That's a great deal. $17.50 per hour per bay. We didn't have a reservation. We were walk-ins. We only waited for about 15 minutes for a bay to become available. While waiting we went to the bar for drinks and got excellent service. Once the five of us got to a bay, we ordered drinks, food and played golf for 2 hours. The food was hot and delicious. We ordered boneless wings tossed in Asian, BBQ and mango Habanero. They were delicious. We also ordered bbq sliders. They were amazing. I recommend the food. The drinks were great, the food was great, our waitress was so attentive and took great care of us.
