I do not live in the area but in town to visit family. My second time going here, took my son and grandson. It was a hit with them. I was happy to come up with an outing that a teenager would enjoy. We did a walk in and only had to wait 15 minutes. There was little problem adding people taking up some of our time. They rectified by adding time to make up for it. Great place to have a good time with family and friends. Good food, good service, and they switch up the games pretty often so it keeps it fun. They currently have a promotion with Captain America where you win a prize if a red ball comes out at the dispenser and we won! Making a reservation is recommended but sometimes you might get lucky depending on the time of day. There is usually a long wait in the evenings on weekends. Service was great. Servers in the bar checked on us several times. Shower the fries were cold, the flat bread pizza was cold and when I went to use the bathroom upon exiting the bar the smell of weed was everywhere, made my way to the bathroom there was like 15 young black teenagers smoking weed in the bathroom. One of the patrons was using the urinal and kept looking back at all the kids who were all behind him watching him pee I think. The game was fun but I don't think I'd go here again or recommend it. I would give this experience zero stars if I could. My family and I had an extremely disappointing experience at Topgolf Roseville, not because of the alcohol policy itself but because of the way we were treated by staff. After ordering drinks, one member of our family was asked to provide ID. They presented a valid driver's licence issued by another country and are over the age of 21. We were informed that "under California law, they could not be served alcohol without a passport". While we respect that businesses must follow their policies and applicable laws, this was incredibly confusing given that the exact same licence has been accepted at numerous other establishments throughout California (including nightclubs, casinos, bars and restaurants without any issues). If this is Topgolf's policy, it should be made much clearer to customers before ordering. I would also encourage Topgolf to review whether this policy is unnecessarily restrictive as it creates confusion and a poor customer experience. Unfortunately, the way staff handled the situation was far more disappointing than the policy itself. Throughout the remainder of our 90 minute booking, we were made to feel uncomfortable and singled out. A staff member named Annabelle (blonde pigtails) repeatedly pointed towards our table, stared at us, laughed and continued watching us throughout our visit. It genuinely felt as though we were being mocked. No paying customers should feel like this. To make matters worse, another staff member, Jett approached our table and issued what he described as a "final warning" regarding our family member and alcohol consumption. We had never received any prior official warning as this family member never had a drink in hand prior to this incidence, making a "final warning" entirely inappropriate. His approach was abrupt, dismissive and was delivered publicly in front of our entire group and surrounding guests, which was both embarrassing and unnecessary. Situations like these should be handled discreetly, respectfully and professionally, the basics of customer service in my opinion. Despite complying with everything requested of us AFTER the warning was given, the uncomfortable atmosphere continued. Annabelle appeared to gather other staff members, who repeatedly walked past us, looked over and watched our group. Whether intentional or not, this behaviour felt intimidating and highly unprofessional. This is a customer service environment, not a high school. The pointing, laughing, whispering and obvious attention directed towards our table reflected an immature workplace culture that should not exist in a business representing a national brand. Jett mentioned that he deals with situations like this "twice a day," yet based on our experience, his communication and conflict resolution skills did not reflect someone experienced in handling these interactions professionally. If this is a common occurrence, staff should be trained to deescalate situations respectfully rather than making customers feel embarrassed, judged or unwelcome. As a result of this experience, we chose not to leave a tip and unfortunately, I cannot recommend this venue to others. Customer service can completely change someone's perception of a business and in this case it left a lasting negative impression on the brand itself. I strongly recommend that Topgolf review both its alcohol identification policy and the conduct of the staff involved. If your policy differs from other venues in California, it should be clearly communicated and consistently explained to customers. More importantly, staff should receive additional training in professionalism, customer service and respectful communication. Policies may sometimes disappoint customers, but there is never an excuse for making them feel humiliated, singled out or unwelcome. read more

This was my first time here and I was not disappointed. Our check in time was less than quoted and the check in desk attendant was friendly. Our server was Mick and he went above and beyond to make sure we were doing well. He even took extra precautions when it came to having my drink and food made because I have a citrus allergy. Our family loves going to Top Golf and had another great time on this visit! We were there for about an hour and a half and had two bays as we were a group of 9. The experience was great and food was tasty as per usual. We got the nachos and pretzel bites and they were both delicious, but did take awhile to come out unfortunately. Additionally, at times it was hard to flag our server down when we wanted to order things. I wish topgolf had an order touchscreen or QR we could scan to order instead of having to flag our server down each time. Overall we had a great time though and would recommend to anyone! read more

My husband and I love coming here. The place is well run, the staff and servers are always friendly, and most importantly, we have fun! Shout out to Landon who gave us the best front desk experience by sharing available bays with us before assigning us - we prefer first floor since it's closer to practicing for a real course, although top floors are fun if you're there for the vibes and the views. Our server Raj was very sweet and checked in frequently despite us only dropping in for a quick hour of play. We didn't get food on this visit but have enjoyed their breakfast burrito, tater tots, and wings in past visits! Pretty much a AWESOME place! The staff their is very friendly and accommodating. I had asked a question to one of the greeters and she was very friendly, apologetic, accommodating and even offered to get us a bottle of water since we were outside in the warm sun. The venue is nice and there is a lot of activities like pool tables, foosball table and of course hit some golf balls. The 2 bars are nice and there is a lot of tvs, the cool thing about the tvs there was no golf on them. We sat on the terrace and found great seats in front of the fire pit. We sat for awhile and finally had to ask for service. When we placed our drink order we had to help the server spell one of the drinks, (awkward). I knew from there what kind of service we were going to get, my wife kept on saying it's because they are new. Will I get that but experience servers know that when food is dropped off, plates, utensils and napkins are required. Not to blame the server for the wait on the food or the cold food. I know it's busy but at least offer if we would like more drinks. I shouldn't have to flag the server down. But they are new and need work out all the kinks and hiccups. Afterwards, I sat down in the waiting area between the front doors because both my dog (who is elderly and has arthritis) and I needed a brief rest. Within about five minutes, an employee came out and asked if my dog was an emotional support animal. I answered yes, thinking she was just asking out of friendliness, but she responded very abruptly, "We don't allow emotional support dogs," and then immediately walked away without any further explanation. I was left confused about whether I was being asked to leave and felt the interaction was cold and dismissive. I ended up exiting the area and sitting outside on the concrete because we were both tired. I understand that businesses have pet policies, but the way this was communicated felt unnecessarily abrupt and uncomfortable. Clearer and kinder communication would have gone a long way. read more

I've never been to a place that works this hard to nickel-and-dime people for water. Not alcohol. Not specialty drinks. Water. Topgolf will happily let you walk all the way through the building before suddenly stopping you at the LAST possible moment to tell you that you can't bring in outside drinks--not even a simple tumbler of water. No signs at the entrance. No warning ahead of time. Just a "gotcha" when you're already committed. Here's the part that really takes the cake: You can buy their drinks and take them outside, but you cannot bring your own water in. Read that again. Purchased drinks can go out. Your personal water bottle cannot come in. Make it make sense. Even better? Ask for a cup of water and you're met with resistance or told you have to pay for it. Apparently hydration is an upsell now. I guess staying alive while hitting golf balls is considered a premium experience. This isn't about policy--it's about greed disguised as "rules." If you're going to charge premium prices, at least offer basic human decency. Every other entertainment venue manages to provide water without acting like it's a rare commodity. Fun concept. Back again for a Summer Kickoff teambuilding event, for a fun night with maybe 8 total bay reservations from 6-8 PM (max 6 people per bay). I joined some teammates in Bay 202. Fajita Fiesta Bar food included along with alcohol, iced tea and sodas, ice water. This came with Southwest Salad with Poblano Avocado Ranch dressing, flour and corn tortillas, cilantro lime rice, refried beans, chicken fajitas with mixed peppers and onions in Ancho marinade, steak fajitas with mixed peppers and onions in ancho marinade, Pico de Gallo, house salsa, sour cream, and shredded cheese. Shout out to Dominic Rojas, PGA Professional for giving us personal tips/instruction on our stance, form, follow through, swing lessons, etc. Super friendly and helpful and supportive! Bring your own clubs, or use the ones provided. They have men's and women's, we were all right-handed players. Drivers, Wood, Hybrids, etc. to choose from depending on what distance/how far you are trying to hit. Played the "TopGolf" mode to start (hit 20 balls each), then switched to their newest game, Block Party for a few rounds before our time was up. This was more fun than Angry Birds as it was more inclusive. From beginners to pros, this latest fun-for-all game evens the playing field by stacking up points and bonuses wherever your ball lands. Each round you got 5 shots, and after the 3rd it creates 3 new customized purple targets in the "average" locations between those first 3 hits -- essentially you're rewarded for consistency! The tracer technology is pretty neat, love the stats and replay onscreen. This was a fun evening, our big group had spread across maybe 8 adjacent bays total. I got the high score for the TopGolf game in my Bay, and Round 1 of Block Party. We ran out of time to have all 4 people complete Block Party Round 2 as the cutoff was strictly 8:00 PM, but no worries! Not sure if there was an overall leader board for our entire company. Very fun, even if you're not usually a golfer, driving range enthusiast, or otherwise. I'm not often in Roseville but wouldn't mind returning with a group! read more

Fun but quite expensive for a small group. I went with one other friend this past weekend on Sunday around 3 PM. I think it cost $60/hour. We checked in upon arrival and waited about 30 minutes for a bay. You can join the waitlist or reserve a bay in advance, but we didn't know what time we were going to get there and decided to risk waiting. It wasn't bad for a Sunday afternoon. I could see the expenses adding up if you were ordering food and drinking alcohol. I'm participating in dry January, we only got tea and an Arnold Palmer - very reasonable $4 each. There were plenty of games to select from on the topgolf screen, ours kept freezing tho and we had to ask for assistance several times to reset it. I think the blocks game was the most fun. We brought our own set of clubs but the free ones there were pretty nice. All in all it was a fun way to spend an hour. I'd go again with more people next time. read more

Nothing like a little bit of Topgolf on Super Bowl. This is a great place to visit right in the morning before it gets busy. Beating the crowds is an awesome part of the 9am time slot. We got set up quickly and our server helped us get settled and our drink order in. For the first hour and half it was great. Good drink service , no issues with food and the crowds was pretty chill. Of course the only issue was the sun shining at an angle but this hardly the fault of anyone besides the time slot we selected. The location is great and being in the center at the top level is really the best this place has to offer. No issues with the seats or facilities had they had everything we needed and staff that helped us promptly. Overall this place has a great chill vibe in the morning. Alas, we did have one issue. Near the end of our visit the dispenser stopped giving us golf balls. We flagged down one of the staff and they got working on it but couldn't seem to get it fixed. Our time slot had past and we were still hoping to get a few strokes in but unfortunately they couldn't get it working and gave us a small discount. While I appreciate that an attempt was made I feel like enough wasn't done to resolve issue. We spent extra time there and after the wait we ended up leaving without playing. If we were discounted the amount and left instead of waiting I would feel better about that. Our bay host was very rude and treated us unfairly throughout our visit. On multiple occasions, our food was delivered to the wrong bay. Even though I was the one paying for and hosting the event, my sister-in-law, who is White, consistently received her food before I did and she arrived after me and at the event I was paying for and hosting. At 11:00 p.m., our games were shut off in the middle of us playing without any warning that our time was about to end. We felt rushed and were not treated with the same level of courtesy as other guests. Based on our experience, I believe we were treated unfairly, and it left us feeling that race may have played a role in how we were treated. We took our grandson to Topgolf twice during his recent visit and had a lot of fun time both times. You definitely don't need to be an expert golfer although you can get that kind of driving practice if you want it. For us it was just a lot of fun to hang out, hit some balls and enjoy lunch. We had the boneless wings, the smokehouse burger and a patty melt. All were good and a lot better than I expected. The only thing I wouldn't recommend was the tater tots - they were a little cold and flavorless. The fries were better. We booked ahead of time and it was definitely worth it. The second time we used the TopGolf App and were able to check in and go right to our bay, avoiding the Sunday brunch crowd. We had great service both times. The staff helped us figure out the games, brought my husband left-handed clubs, and kept us going with water, food and drinks. I'd definitely recommend it for a fun day out for all ages. read more

We were celebrating a surprise birthday which I let the staff now about our ice cream cake and it needed a freezer (which they said they can handle)but they forgot about it and it melted. Our server said they had no lighter for our candles (and no extra candles thankfully we brought our own candles)but we saw three other servers with lighters and celebrating other birthdays around us. Our server also just brought our cake melted in the box and left at our table without at least making it look nice after them melting half of the cake.I requested a birthday dessert with songs from our server ( from previous years of experiences there, where the staff sings songs and brings out a birthday dessert with a candle) but did not receive at all. Unfortunately service we usually get at top golf didn't happen yesterday for us and was very disappointing. Our instructor for the game made a comment along the lines of if we all spoke English while we were all communicating in English which was offensive to us. I've been to Top Golf in the past but never had the opportunity to golf due to it being overwhelmingly busy with filled reservations. Lucky for me, I found the sweet spot! Monday nights after 8 pm, I was able to walk in with a group and get my golf stroke on. The golf machines were easy to use and the service was nice and prompt. We ordered wings and beverages but I didn't try any of the food.
