We have had a couple of great family adventures here in the past. The games, along with the food, make for easy gatherings. The issue this past weekend was based on a severe lack of customer service. We made a reservation for two side by side lanes for our group of ten. When we arrived, it appeared we would not be seated at lanes with couches, but the high tables. My sister has a health challenge that made the high seating uncomfortable and unsafe. There were several unoccupied lanes nearby with couch seating, but they were reserved for other parties later in the day. We politely asked them to move us to one of those lanes. Although the staff laid out their policy that a reservation did not guarantee couch seating, they did not accommodate us. Mind you, the whole time we are trying to get this resolved, our prepaid time is ticking away. We don't need you to care, but perhaps act like you do. read more

Not only was the games fun but the service there was great especially by the server we had her name was Diana she made sure we got all our orders in at the right time and was very considerate of us. She was very clean with the table she broke down the menu very well and she was very nice you can tell she loves her job and loves to help other. I've been to Top Golf before and my prior visits where pretty good aside the wait time which is a head ache. I attended a little family gathering at top golf this weekend and let me tell you I am disappointed with the service. As we ordered food we were so excited to try new things and old favorites. As food started arriving they were luke warm and our server didn't know what food went to what bays. As the time went on we tried ordering more food and drinks but we had a hard time locating our server. He would walk away and we would see him down the hall talking to other servers. When it came down to pay for our service it was all miscommunication about payment and how much our bill had added up to be almost $600 which we were so surprised to know. When we asked to see our bill and to get an explanation to why the bill was so high know one took the time and brushed us off and demands us to pay instead of working it out with us. They made it seem like they did'nt want us there and that we were not welcomed because we had questions about our bill. An hour later we asked when the salad and cheese dip were coming. 30 mins later at 145 still no food and the manager said he was sorry and would comp the salad. AVOID, if you value your life or your loved ones. I was 1st made aware of this place when I received a location affiliated secondary Covid-19 exposure notification a few months ago. Recently, my boyfriend's daughter begged to have her 16th bday party here, against our better judgement, he proceeded to attempt to honor her wishes. The booking process was subpar to say the least. Nearly impossible to get a call or email back from the event coordinator and when a call actually came through it was labeled as a spam risk caller which was flagged and immediately sent to voice mail courtesy of AT&T. The date was finally settled, contract signed, etc. Unfortunately, the day of the party is when the Atmospheric River hit the area. The largest storm on record for nearby San Francisco, wind and mudslide advisories, over 4 in of rain in San Jose in less than 24 hrs, and tens of thousands left without power for multiple days... us included. Calling Top Golf for guidance resulted in being punted to corporate which had no idea what the weather conditions really were locally. Multiple calls resulted in sing song like responses indicating the weather was great and to come on down since they were open for business. After watching the flooding start, huge tree limbs snapping off and blowing down the street, and hearing of the mudslide warnings in the areas where the brand new licensed drivers that were supposed to attend the party were going to have to navigate, he called to exercise the clause cited in the contract for a force majeure event to reschedule due to the severity of the storm. He was advised to email his event coordinator because they had no way to contact said individual and it would be much faster since they really couldn't help him. He sent an email as requested explaining the situation understanding that the deposit would likely be forfeited, but we felt the risk of human life for the children and family was worth more than that. Roughly an hour into what should have been the party reservation, TopGolf called to see if we were going to show up... the event coordinator that was supposed to be present for the entire event hadn't even bothered to check email nor had the 3 phone calls indicating we were not coming for fear of personal safety was ever noted!!!! To add insult to injury, not only did they charge the deposit, but they charged the ENTIRE fee for the party and indicated the storm wasn't bad enough to qualify for a "force majeure event" and they already had our money, so essentially, too bad and so sad. No offer to reschedule, no apology for the lack of empathy, or even the most remote attempt to offer professional courtesy. Simply a greedy corporate type of machine without any regard for its customers. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and support a local business that actually cares... read more

I spent 2 hours with 4 teenage boys at Top Golf on a Sunday. Our waitress, Rebecca, was just awesome. We order a bunch of food throughout our stay, and she was always there when we were ready to order our next round. The food did take some time to come out, but came out hot and fresh. The boys weren't fans of the nachos, but Cobb salad, crispy chicken sandwich and tenders, and margherita pizza were popular. Check-in was super easy with a text that came 15 minutes before our reservation time, and then another text with our bay number. Angry Birds game is super fun. Reservation system opens 6 am 7 days before, and it's not a problem for an early bird like me. read more

I've been to top golf Roseville once before which was for my bfs birthday.about 3 years ago which I enjoyed very much. Good food great drinks. I've been wanting to take my dad for a while now. He works weekdays and does dad stuff around the house on the weekends.for as long as I can remember . So I like to keep him young and treat him to fun stuff. Okay.We drove from Waterford which is like an hr and 45 min away. On a weekday so he got off a little early. But we were still hella late. Policy says that your time starts at your reservation time for prepaid reservations so being late we'd lose out on the time. We were legit like an hour late. They extended our play time free of charge. Which was awesome. Ally was a great host to us.she's dope! Helped with any question we had. They brought out happy bday signs and sang to my dad. Horrible Horrible service. It was me and my boyfriend's first time and we'll never come back. We got to our bay and it was dirty. I asked somebody if the previous party was still there because we were told to go there. One guy said he wasn't sure but had somebody clean the table. The waitress came and initially apologized for the table being dirty. We asked if we could get a drink and she said yes but would need to close us out right away because she was leaving. We never got another server. After 30 min I went to the bar to order a drink and I was told by the bartender that I'm not allowed to order from her because I'm at a bay. I told her I would rather just get my drink here because we haven't seen anybody for 30 min. She said she was going to send somebody. Nobody came. We never got to order food or more drinks. The next time we saw someone was when our time was running out. We were asked if we wanted to extend, we said no and he said ok let me check you out. I felt that this whole experience was out getting us to leave rather than to stay. I asked to speak to a manager about our experience. After telling him what happened he asked if he could get me something to drink now and I said no our game is over already. And he said there was nothing he could do for me unless I write a review. Which I don't understand why you want people to hear about this. I was giving him my review in person. I want my money back and want to forget I ever came to this place. read more

I have never received such HORRIBLE service in my life. I was outright disrespected by the bartender working at the 2nd floor bar who would not remake my drink after I kindly said that it was a little too sweet for me and asked if she could remake it to only have her reply by arguing with me in a condescending and aggressive tone saying she made it correctly the first time and did not think she needed to remake it. I then told her how I would prefer it and again she continued to argue with me. In order to avoid a scene I then decided to calmly walk away and go downstairs to the 1st level bar to order. I originally ordered my drink when I first arrived when we were waiting for the bay at the downstairs bar and this bartender made the drink perfectly. However, to my disbelief the bartender immediately said he would be unable to make my drink and would have to cut me off as I am not upstairs and could only order from the upstairs bar and my server. I then mentioned the issues I was having upstairs and he said "that's too bad". I've always loved top golf and was looking forward to a fun night with friends only to have it ruined by terrible service and atrocious attitudes by staff. Get the app and very easy to book a reservation. Our bay was having issues from the start and when they got it right they said they would add 30 minutes. Then our food order was a mess. They only put in four of our six orders. The two meals came 45 minutes after the first four came. The worst part is that it took them 20 minutes to realize they never put in the order. The manager kept lying to us about the food, " we put a rush on it." They did not. They never put the extra 30 minutes in for us and when our time was up we had to find someone to fix it. So I took my family here last Thursday as my son wanted to celebrate his 18th birthday by laughing at me while I try to hit golf balls. We went through the trouble of making reservations for 7pm-9. At 9 my wife started to not feel well and since we had come in two cars, the kids wanted to stay longer (another hour) and hit more balls. We were then informed that we could not rent the bay for any extra time because we had made reservations, but had we been "walk ins", we could have rented it longer. The place was NOT busy at all. I was pretty upset that we were basically being punished for making reservations. So at 9pm we all had to leave and even though I told them it was my sons 18th bday, they wouldn't let us rent another hour for me kids to stay and play. Ridiculous! read more

We came for our friend's birthday. When we arrived they offered us a 3rd level bay over our 1st level bay. That was super nice of them and we definitely enjoyed the 3rd level view better. We had a great time starting off. We mentioned to our server multiple times that it was our friend's birthday as well as a note under our reservation saying it was a birthday and nothing was done to celebrate it. We saw another bay have servers come out with letters and signs for another guest's birthday. We felt like the golfing experience overall was fun but it was definitely as a little awkward and disappointing especially due to our lackluster service once we were seated. The night started off strong and ended with a bad taste. Hopefully their staff be a little more accommodating and welcoming given the pricey bill. read more

Food was good, the drinks we've made well, service was ok, everything pretty much went as planned until the end when they literally pushed us out of bay while we were still had drinks in our hands. We had half full glasses and the server asked us if we were done so she could take our half finished drinks! We said no, and she retreated. Shortly after they brought the next group to the bay, while we were still drinking! If the 2 hours were a hard close then they should have let us know before ordering our last drinks, we would have not ordered them and bringing the next group in was not ok. First we weren't finished, second it's violates social distancing, third they didn't sanitized the bay for them, fourth and final we were told only 6 people to a bay, the group that invaded our space was at least 8 people deep. We understand how reservations work but I've been to a restaurant where they bring the next party to the table while you're still finishing your meal. Fun place to come with friends and family! We came here to celebrate our friends bday and had a blast! My recommendation is to definitely make reservations in advance if you are coming at peak times otherwise you get the bays on the first floor. Playing on the top floors is way more fun especially at night time. They have really good food with lots of options. I have been to top golf in Roseville and Las Vegas and I have to say San Jose new location is the last on the list to visit. You would think being newly opened and a beautiful place that the energy would be better. If it wasn't for the company we had this place for the 2nd time disappointed us. They need a whole new staff. Nobody greets you walking in or out. The servers don't even acknowledge you. It took 20 min for someone to finally say what do you want? Smh! They have a lot of younger employees and it seems all they do is talk amongst themselves instead of having a smile and checking on guest if they need anything. Surprisingly our drinks were quick after we had to find someone to help us but I only give 3 stars because service sucks. Great place to hang out or bring your kiddos and it's a beautiful place but service so bad you don't even acknowledge all that. You just end up irritated and wanting to leave but stay the 2 hours because when you finally get your food and drinks you have to rush and finish before your time is up and after spending over 250$ for only 4 guest for 2 hours 3 pitchers of beer and a nacho and Mac and cheese .. is ridiculous! Came on a Friday night around 530 wasn't too busy we even sat down exactly at our time last time we waited 20 min after our time and they still made us exactly at the 2 hours. I have visited this location 3 times since they opened and last night was the worst experience. The other 2 times were ok. But, the other 2 visits were customer service flaws. So I had to leave a review. Too expensive wouldn't mind if they gave you a great experience and made you happy to be there. read more

I visited top golf with my close friends Tuesday, October 4th in the evening. It was beyond busy, which was expected as the bays were half off. While we were waiting, we went to the bar and ordered some drinks and appetizers. Our waiter/server, Brian B had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. He only took our order, and never checked up on us. He was beyond slow, and even forgot parts of our order. When our appetizers arrived, they were completely stale and dry. The food was clearly sitting out for a very long time, before being served - definitely not following food code. We were not able to let Brian know, as once again, he was pretty nonexistent. By the time we picked at the food, Brian came to give us the check. For this time, we decided not to tip as the experience was very poor for both the food and customer service. Today, I checked my bank statement and realized Brian self-added a tip of almost $10 to my bill and self-authorized a tip for himself with my credit card. This is theft and credit card fraud. It leaves me questioning how many times he has he stolen and done this to other loyal customers? I recommend keeping all your receipts and proof checking them. I have never ever experienced something like this, and I am beyond disappointed. I will no longer be recommending this location, and I will be bring this situation up to corporate. read more

I have been trying to get a reservation at this place since it opened. I inquired about a birthday party this past weekend and never heard back from anyone so I decided to call and follow up myself. Upon calling I wasn't even transferred to the event coordinator. I was told by an associate there was no availability and nothing they could do to accommodate me. As a paying customer for a large party (9 people) I would have expected much better customer service. Very disappointing that I won't be able to take my family for my dad's 63rd birthday. My cousins and I came to Topgolf to celebrate a birthday. As soon as our server came to our table he was loud and inappropriate. He reeked of alcohol and touched my cousin without permission. He asked us if we "vaped" and i let him know that we don't do drugs and that this conversation is inappropriate. He called us "squares" for not smoking. He kept harassing us! As he was approaching the table he dropped all the drinks because clearly he wasn't sober. We ordered sodas and he gave us sodas in kids cup. I spoke to the manager about the situation and the manager didn't do much and said she would switch our servers. As a manager, you need to handle the situation better. The server still showed up at our table after the manager said she would switch our servers. How can a workplace let someone who isn't sober work on the clock? So unprofessional!!! Anywhere else you would be sent home or fired right away! His workers knew how he was acting but still let him work! Ridiculous!
