4 stars for a brand spanking new facility that is modern and clean, summer pass value, location (close to my crib and the mall), and actually good food! They lost a star for table service. I can't love the summer pass enough. For less than $200, you get unlimited golf Monday through Friday 10am-5pm. It's really making my WFH days very enjoyable! Their food is actually great, I haven't had something that I wouldn't reorder. My faves are the nachos, buffalo dip, tater tots. I typically get the Bloody Mary and get warmed every time that it comes with no garnish. No biggie. Compared to the old TopGolf location in Wooddale, this Schaumburg location is superb. Again, brand new, they just opened last year. Everything is new and well kept. Every time a guest leaves, the whole entire bay is sanitized including the clubs, tables, and chairs. Good stuff! Their patio is super nice! There's a patio on all 3 levels! The service is good, my only gripe is that every time we go, we order food but never get silverware and napkins. Please make a reservation. It's free to reserve for now. They're super busy during the weekdays because of the summer pass and on Tuesdays, it's half off so the wait times could get severe. Enjoy your tee! read more

Heads up: I believe the reviews for the Wood Dale location are now absorbed onto this page which is now the Schaumburg location...Wood Dale is closed. You may want to sort your reviews by 'most recent' to be sure you are reading about Schaumburg. Now onto my new review... We've been to the Schaumburg location twice since it reopened during Phase Three. Love the technology here, it's just like Naperville in that regard. I must give the nod in customer service to the Schaumburg location though. I've had much friendlier encounters here. I do feel like the menu has shrunk over the years, but that is likely corporate. The workers are diligent about cleaning everything in the bays as groups turn over, and employees are wearing masks and gloves at all times. This location did run out of some drink items by our second visit. I'm sure it's a symptom of figuring out ordering upon re-opening, and they will hopefully figure it out. They are also not doing garnishes on drinks currently, totally fine, but knock a dollar off the Bloody Mary in that case, the garnishes are the joy of the Bloody Mary. Also, be prepared to feel rushed. I know they book back to back to back, but I'd rather see them open the third level than rush the customers who are spending money in the bays. The spiel at the start could be more caring, show all the features of these fancy screens to groups, ask if the customer has a promo (those codes get entered at the start, not with the server), offer to show how to edit scores of a ball that is mistracked, etc. I think the corporate training program has wholes, the managers take care of problems, but the bay attendants and servers could be more refined. We love Top Golf, we love to be outside. We will continue to return on a regular basis...I just wish Top Golf would begin to appreciate how busy they are in the summers and open up all levels, staffed appropriately, so that customers can feel good, never rushed, about each visit. That said, find the promos online so you feel better about the money you are spending and enjoy the summer at Top Golf. read more

This is a brand new facility in Schaumburg! My family and I came here to celebrate a birthday party and getting here was very easy; the highway is nearby and parking/entering the building is straightforward. Make sure you check online on their website to make sure there's no wait as it can get very busy if you don't have a reservation. You can easily "join the waitlist" online and they'll tell you when to arrive so you do not have to wait. They also give you golf clubs to use if you do not have any. There are 3 levels; from what I saw there's a bar on every level and tv's to watch sports, etc. Each bay can hold 8 people max, and 6 players can play at a time. You will need a membership which is a one time fee of 5 dollars. There are tv's to track the game/golf ball you are playing in your bay. We reserved the bay for 90 minutes and I believe that was around $90. A server comes around to explain how to work the golf system, order food, and answer any questions in general. Overall the process of reserving, ordering food, playing golf was super easy! I would definitely recommend coming here. Although it can be pricey, you get the ability to play different interactive golf games which makes it worth it if you want to do more than what you could do at a normal driving range. read more

Let me start with this: I have been to plenty of places that require prepayment or reservation fee to book, so this concept is not new to me. What I have not seen at any place I have been is a reservation fee that is not applied to the total bill at the end of the meal/activity, much less a $25 reservation fee. That is what Top Golf requires when planning ahead to reserve a bay for 6 people according to their website. Even worse, this does not guarantee a bay being available for your party at the requested booking time, only that your party gets moved to the top of the queue according to the website, making this policy even more ridiculous and asinine. Was it fun? Meh. Not worth supporting such anti-consumer behavior, especially when you can have a great time at other places. To the credit of the waitress helping us, she checked in on us regularly throughout the night and offered superb service, so A+ for that. read more

You're surrounded by beautiful looking super attentive staff and great atmosphere. Food was delicious and drinks we're always there when you needed them. Don't want to wait for a waitress, head over to their huge bar. The golf games were super exciting. We played almost all of them. If your not into that you can knock'em out and know your distance which is awesome. As busy as they were they took great care of us. I was told though cards don't work for every Top Golf, not sure about this but this one is closest to me so I doubt I'll have a problem with that. Would I come back? I can't wait! We went to top golf in Schaumburg Illinois last Sunday. We waited 70!minutes waiting for a bay even tho I had been on the wait list for 90 minutes. We asked for a bay out of the rain and wind maybe that's why such a long wait. We ended up in the worst location possible very disappointed. We were a little confused about how their system worked. We asked for help the server was even more vague. We went ahead and ordered some food and started playing. Even if you wanted to eat the expensive average food your golf time continued on. The minute time was up three different employees was pushing us to get more golf time or get out !!' Terrible experience. What a great place to come for some good food and fun! This was my first time and it did not disappoint! I've heard great things from friends about how you don't need to know how to play golf to have fun at Top Golf and they are absolutely right! There's something cathartic about whipping that ball and still being able to score points with no previous skill whatsoever! At first I was worried about coming in the winter when temps were hovering around freezing, but the heaters that they have here are plenty to keep you warm. I even eventually took my coat off because I got a little too warm. There are a variety of game options to play depending which I won't even go into, but just know that there is a game for everyone here. Definitely choose the 3rd floor if you're just a beginner - the extra height makes it a bit more fun and gets your ball moving a bit more. The food is actually pretty decent! My absolute fav was the wings - we ended up getting trio and they were meaty and sauces were tasty! Think the opposite of buffalo wild wings ;-) The flatbread and ahi tuna brunch options were so so - I felt like these were a bit more mediocre in terms of quality but flavors were good. They've got a bunch of big screens here so this is a great place to catch a game and eat some good food as well! Usually go to Naperville and first time in Schaumburg. First came a little early and front desk said we had to wait even though a lot of bays were open. We all had a drink at bar, tables were mostly full, 1 bartender, had to serve ourselves and wait for drinks. When we got called, roving manager questioned why we had to wait. Server was young, could tell she did not want to be there. She was short with us and in disgust with fellow server. Long delays for drinks and food. One order came wrong. Then at the end we were trying to finish our golf game and waitress was pressing us to close tab. I told her to come back. She returned within a few minutes wanting to close tab again. I use to love top golf. I loved it so much that I would drive from the south side of the city 4-6 times a week. The staff knew me by name. They asked me about my life as I did theirs. We would talk endlessly at the front desk, bays & bar. It felt like family. Now it's all about reservations or corporate accounts. The old experience, humble people with great food, beer, spirits & game play. The new experience, robotic staff, money driven with advanced game play. Sure it's fun to see your ball travel on a screen. But the over all experience is gone. The staff at the old location made it a place to go to. This just seems too, robotic. Came here with some friends over the weekend-we'd previously gone to the Wood Dale location, but since that one closed we came here instead (they did honor them money we had left on our Wood Dale cards, it was a bit of a process to get it switched over, but we got it figured out eventually. Since this is a newer location, it's got the bells and whistles-clubs are right at each bay (no more having to get your own set), everything is automated (no more cards to load and swipe, it's all done by phone number), and there's lots of fun games to play. Although, with fancier technology comes glitches-we tried to play a candy crush type game where there's jewels on screen that line up with the targets, and you have to match your ball color to the jewels, but it would never track the ball location so we couldn't play it. The other games worked alright, though. It was nice that you could add time as you went and it just totaled up at the end, as opposed to having to load a card and figure out ahead of time how much to put on. Our bay host (I think that's what they call them) was friendly and attentive enough, and the food was good (the pretzel bites were fine, but good enough for a little snack). I am in no way a golfer, but this is a fun way to hang out with friends-as others have said, it's a combination of a driving range and a bowling alley. The games they have seem to accommodate those at the lower levels as well as more expert levels. I would gladly go back! read more

Top Golf is seriously one of the most fun places. This location gets extremely busy, but if you hang out in the bar area until then, time moves very fast and you can enjoy some food and drinks while you wait. However, be aware, I've waited almost three hours for a bay before so be aware that sometimes the wait is crazy. Top Golf has three levels of bays, the top being on the roof so it is closed in inclement weather. When you finally get assigned to a bay, you need to get your golf balls from a machine, and then you can play. The only annoying thing is that sometimes your balls fail to print your ID on them, so they do not actually count when you putt them. However, as long as you are watching your shots, the machine allows you to input your own score for that ball, or to fix any scores that come up wrong. I suggest if you come here, try and get either the second or third floor because you can see your shots much better than on the first floor. I have never had a problem with the service here, and when you are at your bay, a waiter comes and asks if you want anything to eat and drink. The layout kinda reminds of an outdoor bowling alley, but with people who come to you and take your order, rather than having to go and order yourself somewhere in the place. If you are planning to eat, I suggest the steak quesadillas. They are absolutely amazing. read more

Such an unfortunate venue for how expensive it is. I wasn't allowed to bring my water bottle in and it took an hour just to get cups of water. So expensive and a waiter spilled a beer and it never got replaced. I had two gift cards and I guess the second gift card received in addition of the first poached one was a promotion so I wasn't able to use it. Came here on a double date for the first time. We did the walk in option and made reservations that way. They didn't have our upstairs preference at first and messed our reservations up, but they rectified that by letting us golf on the lower level first and moved us to the upper level when they were ready, and fixed our play time. I'm left handed and the clubs we received were for right handed individuals (I assume this is the standard ha!). They do have the option of getting left handed clubs so that was great! The waiting staff in both sections were amazing!! So funny and outgoing! They made sure our drinks were filled and checked in now and again to make sure we were okay. Such a fun experience!! The game options they have on the screen were so much fun! We played the normal competition and then angry birds!! That was my favorite and a lot easier to get a higher score. I loved how we were able to see how far our ball went and where it landed. They are chipped so the balls know who is hitting and calculates like that. I loved that you just need to wave your club over the sensor and it drops the ball out for you. The food was REALLY good! I would suggest their buffalo dip. Not too spicy but the perfect blend and their pizza. The pretzel dip was tasty as well. Their drinks were good. Plenty of selections for food and drinks. I have not been to Top Golf since what I remember to be another location in Illinois closing down. I have now come to the Schaumburg location twice in the last week. I would like to say that Hannah my waitress today and also Kyle who helped me out my last occasion was outstanding. Riley was also outstanding. That Kyle ought to be promoted one day that guy is a legit professional and an accommodating gentlemen. The manager today as well which his name I can't recall was stellar. Top golf has changed my view I just needed to express that and communicate their prices are fair and priced into their great service. This place is really cool! We took the whole family (4 teenagers ages 16-21) here to do something outside/active on a 25 degree Chicago evening for mom's birthday. Wow! Were we in for a surprise : ) Think driving range with heated seats, your own personal wait staff, and automated scoring. Similar experience to the competition of bowling, except with golf clubs. We had a blast and were not the least bit uncomfortable. Would consider doing this on a cold winter day. This place is about a month old. Everything is new, including the clubs. I had been to the Topgolf in Wood Dale before, but hadn't checked out this new one, which was built right near where I grew up! It is really so nice. Very high end. The technology is really cool and it is even fun for people who aren't into golf (me!). I was here for an event so it was catered, but the food was great! We had a taco bar type set up and everything was wonderful. The staff was very attentive and always around when we needed anything. When me and my party had walked in the man standing at the counter was not welcoming at all. The interaction that we had was belittling we are all strong young women and of age of the top golf requirements. But he still failed to let us in after we even spent all the money to be there and drove over an hour to participate in the fun activities and enjoy the food. This place is awesome. Wife surprised me for a date night with some friends and it was the perfect activity. Three stories, all with bars and golf. The place is super clean, and the staff was all super nice and helpful. The customer service aspect needs to stay because it very much made the experience what it was. We ordered some food all of which was very good. The wait service was fast and the food came out quickly too. The golfing areas are all sectioned off for your party which was nice because it allowed us to focus on our own group and not others around us. Multiple different game modes you can play while hitting golf balls. Only gripe I had was we had to wait almost 3 hours to golf and when we went to check where we were on the waitlist the lady didn't seem to have a good answer for us. She simply gave us a very approximate time. Nothing they can do about the wait but a little more info would have been nice. We came here for son-in-law's birthday and had a great time. The course is well managed and the games were fun and easy to understand. We brought our own clubs, but they do have clubs there if you don't bring any. I have to admit, the LARGE targets (big holes in the ground) and GPS-loaded balls made me feel much more confident in my game than I usually am! The heaters are very powerful so I think we'll be comfortable when we come back during the winter to work on our swing. They have a nice selection of beers and the food was great. My daughter and I started with mimosas which were mostly glasses of OJ with a little champagne - guess that's why they were $4. The guys fared better with garnished-to-the-max bloody Marys. One standout from the food was the charcuterie board that was presented in a giant soft pretzel with brown mustard and cheese sauce on the side. Fist time to this place. Easy to find with plenty of onsite parking. Upon entering the facility you will be expected to wear a mask. We went on a nice Thursday afternoon and were able to be placed on first floor with no wait. The entire place was very clean including the restroom. Server approached immediately and was semi friendly up front and borderline rude at the end:( The golfing system was easy to use and the on-site clubs were nice for our level of play - it appeared most brought their own clubs. We went to the bar area afterwards for a couple of cocktails that were reasonably priced. The menu is somewhat limited. Food was very good for the venue and was very reasonably priced. The reason I am giving Top Golf -Schaumburg a 3 star review is because the food was good. However, normally people come to Top Golf to golf. Otherwise, this review would be a 1 star. I have attended this location a twice before and I had a regular experience. However, yesterday was not the case. Upon arrival, I was told there would be a 3-4 hour wait, to which I could understand because it is a discount day on Tuesdays. Till then, my group and I asked if we could sit on the patio. After 4 hours of non-service, I went to ask the team how much longer the wait would be. They first informed me that I wasn't on the waitlist, but another employee corrected this and stated that I was. Then they said it would be another hour. After 4.5 hours, one of the people from my group asked a manager, Nate, if any servers were working on the patio, since it was 98 degrees and we waited almost 5 hours. Not one employee came to check on my group or the two other groups on the patio. Nate responded "No we are short staff". So, the next question to Nate was "How are people supposed to order food on the patio, we've been waiting for quite a few hours?" (Since we have ordered food on the patio before). Nate's response was "And....?" "You have to come inside to order". Come to find out, we saw from observation that there were bays opened for more than 3 hours near the patio. Also, the entire 3rd floor and half of the 2nd floor was rented out because of a convention. It would have been appreciated it this was specifically communicated to customers instead of being sent on a hot patio with 0 service during this time. Lastly, after 3.5 hours, I kept receiving messages stating that my table was going to be ready in about 15 mins and/or 30 mins. This was also untrue. Food was alright, there was a small mishap where a friend of mine ordered a burger well done and it was pretty pink in the middle. There was also a weird moment where our server spilled a drink at our table and just walked away...he didn't come back to try to clean it or give us a rag at least...so that was a bit awkward. Horrible experience guaranteed. Every single time I have come here I have had a multitude of problems ranging from the environment to the staff. Today I had called hours ahead and made a reservation specifically requesting the 3rd floor as well as made a deposit on the phone and left a comment for the 3rd floor only to be placed on the 1st and told I would need to wait a hour and a half to be moved to another floor. Staff told me there was nothing they can do for me and it was either take the first floor or leave. Another time I waited 45 minutes for my lane only to go to my table and have another party sat there. Staff is unhelpful and unreliable. read more
