On March 23, I scheduled a bay with some friends, my oldest daughter and my father. We spent the day "living like daddy" for the 2 year loss of my late husband/ father of our 3 children. Our sever and manager went ABOVE and beyond. They originally thought we were there for a birthday. I had summed up to our waitress, Patti G., why were there and our day planned ahead. As it touched her heart she went to her manager, Justin, and put together the greatest display for us to help celebrate "daddy". They came out with giant letter signs spelling "DAD" along with sweet treat to help us celebrate live like daddy day with us. Literal tears. Making a bittersweet day more special. I went to an event at Topgolf last Saturday night. I thought it was a mini golf place. Lol. It's a huge 3 story open air driving range with scoreboards. It was very busy. I had a blast! I'm quite terrible at golf. The food was ok. Honestly, not the best, but I wasn't there for the food. They do serve alcohol. I can't comment on pricing since I didn't pay for anything. There are heaters which kicked on when it turned cooler. The ceiling extended quite far so it can be enjoyed in the rain unless the winds are how long. Topgolf is open through the winter. Had a blast coming here and playing a bit of "golf" with friends for one of my best friend's birthday. We had a Sunday reservation for 5pm which was great and near dinner time. We got a nice deal as it was 6 appetizers for $55 (excluding wings). Signature nachos, margarita flatbreads, pepperoni flatbread, guac and chips, tres tacos and buffalo, BBQ and asian sesame wings were all banging! We got 2 rounds of everything. The Top Golf Mai Tai was awesome and 2 are enough lol as they can make em a little strong. Beer selection is pretty nice as well. Now for the game itself! They have a lot of cool games that are great during those cold winter days, decent dining menu and alcoholic beverages. This place is fun. But I was turned off that the manager harassed us about our tip not being big enough and that we needed to give more. We also signed up for a kids package which included a "workbook" and they spent 20 minutes insisting there was no workbook to give us. Even though it states it in their website and we had an email confirmation from them stating they would provide it to us. I recommend just golfing and don't expect any extras. Top Golf was surprisingly a lot of fun. Would definitely recommend making reservations though. We went and had to wait almost two hours for a bay because they were so busy. We decided to put our name on the waitlist and eat some food there. Our server was very friendly and took care of us right away and was helpful with suggestions of what to eat. I reserved a time slot online the day before, though there are so many bays available that I don't think it was necessary. We went to the bay assigned and they double booked us and we had to wait another 15 minutes. Which was kind of a bummer. I'm not a golfer, and what I mean by that is I've never done anything more than mini golf 15 years ago, so when our friends decided to meet up there I was nervous. I'm glad I went though because IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! The Wood Dale location runs a little differently than the other locations in that you buy however many games you plan to golf, and play until you're done. Other locations have you pay by the hour, which is not the case here. Because we went before 11:00am, we paid half price, so each of us played two games for $8 total. It was super cheap, and we milked it for about 90 minutes! They offer brunch and mimosas, and their carafe was a pretty good deal at $20. Because we went in the middle of winter, we used their overhead heaters and actually stayed very warm, even with the snow blowing in at us. I would totally be back without a shadow of doubt. First time at top golf and I loved it! It's a very COVID friendly activity, even in the winter, because you are outdoors with heaters keeping the bays PLENTY warm. The games themselves range from Angry Birds that is good for very low skill players, up to more advanced skill games that make it fun and challenging for serious players. The tracking system for the golf balls is pretty damn good. They quoted it at 85% accuracy but it seemed better than that to us. It provides your carry, total distance, ball speed, etc. Food was better than expected as well. We had a bunch of apps including pretzel bites, nachos, and mac and cheese bites and they were all good. Bring your own clubs or use the sets that are provided for you in the golfing bays. read more

Ok...so this review might be a little biased as we were put in the "executive suite" and I'm a person that is always cold. Some background, the first time I went to TopGulf (Naperville) it was a crisp 7 degrees and windy. It was one of those days that the news warns you about frost bite...but alas my date insisted it would be fine because they have heaters. I froze my butt off and had a terrible time. I couldn't even feel my toes. Fast forward two years and a friend suggests going to top gulf. I was super hesitant as it was going to be 25 degrees out...but said ok. Omg such a different experience this time. My friend made a reservation for 8 pm on a Saturday night. We got there around 8:05 and they told us we'd have to wait a bit. We waited less than five minutes and they put us in the executive suite. There was a small party going on and we were all the way at the last bay. If you are a serious golfer...this isn't ideal because you are all the way to the right of the green. For me, I didn't care because it was partially inside. With the heaters it was so warm I took my jacket off. At one point we even turned off the heater because it was too hot. The game was really fun. You get a prepaid card, stick it into a machine and the balls pop out. There are targets you try to hit to keep score. They have a wait staff and food and beverages if you want to take a break from hitting. I ordered waters so I can't really review the food or drinks. My friend ordered the Bloody Mary and although it looked good...he said it wasn't. Overall, this is a great concept for a night out or an afternoon activity. read more

I had a lot of fun and had no idea what I was doing! The first time I went to Top Golf was to the Naperville location a year ago (new facility!). However, This location seems to have even newer technology with golf ball tracing! It was nice to see exactly how far the golf ball went, how high it went, where it eventually landed after each of my swings (didn't go too far, I'll tell you that!). We came around 11 am on a Saturday and was able to get a bay without any issues! You pay by the hour (it hourly rate depends on the time of day you go). I can't love the summer pass enough. For less than $200, you get unlimited golf Monday through Friday 10am-5pm. It's really making my WFH days very enjoyable! Their food is actually great, I haven't had something that I wouldn't reorder. My faves are the nachos, buffalo dip, tater tots. I typically get the Bloody Mary and get warmed every time that it comes with no garnish. No biggie. Compared to the old TopGolf location in Wooddale, this Schaumburg location is superb. Again, brand new, they just opened last year. Everything is new and well kept. Every time a guest leaves, the whole entire bay is sanitized including the clubs, tables, and chairs. Good stuff! Their patio is super nice! There's a patio on all 3 levels! The service is good, my only gripe is that every time we go, we order food but never get silverware and napkins. Please make a reservation.
