Topgolf is a great place for the serious golfer or the first timer. There is plenty of food and drinks, and golf clubs are provided. I saw dad's on a night out with their little girls, all of them having a great time. The service overall is pretty good. If it's very busy you may have to wait in line a while to get your Players card if you lost it, or if it is your first time( a $5 one time membership or $1 to replace). You may also have to wait for a bay if it is busy as well. Topgolf is also kind of expensive. It used to be $20/hr before noon and $40 after now it's $25/hr before 12pm $35/hr 12pm -5pm and $45/hr after 5pm. Now that is per bay so if you get enough people it is fine... But if you just want to go with a few people or on a date, that can be kind of pricey. They send coupons here and there... This time we had one for $20 towards game play so that helped. There are a variety of games to pick from ... Distance, trying to hit certain targets, and others I haven't tried because I'm not great! Haha They have a decent drink menu, I got an Orange Dreamcicle I think it was called and that was super yummy they also offer beers on tap and have a full bar. We ordered a side of fries but it was Very small and unimpressive... But tasted fine of course. The customer service was on point I will say that. This is also a great place to celebrate a birthday or special event with a larger group. Top golf is also Dog friendly... I took my dog to one in Houston once, he was a big hit! Great place for groups! The staff is always super friendly and helpful in every aspect of the place. All of the spaces are always very clean and very well kept. Even if you do not want to golf, the outdoor bar/balcony area is a nice place to hang out. The drinks and food served here are all delicious. They have a pretty diverse variety of food that was pretty surprising to me. You could get anything from pasta to chicken wings to munch on while you are hitting golf balls into the great unknown (I say that because when I hit a ball it is unknown where it is going to end up). Their mixed drinks are great and the souvenir cup is shaped like a golf bag, with a flashing light at the bottom that allows the cup to glow in different colors. In terms of golfing, there is something for everyone. The variety of games that they have to offer cater to people that are just there to hang out and to the people that get really competitive. First, let me say that I am super sad that I am not rich enough to have been a part of the investment team for top Golf! This was such a great time! Visited this location while on vacation in Tampa and it was thee best time! Let me tell you that I am not at all a golfer - the last I even went put putting was like over 10 years ago - but I had a blast doing this! I will say that it we went on a Friday night and it was packed! We had to wait for over an hour for a booth to be open but we were so glad that we did. The place is huge! There is a lower lever with pool tables and other games. There is also a bar and just dining area on the second and third floor for people who just want to dine. If you are interested in doing both, the both for the golfing comes with outdoor heaters that made the night. Tampa was a bit cold that night and I was worried that I was going to freeze but those heaters were so clutch! The food is pretty good for bar food (must say, the drinks were expensive - $14 for a mixed drink). The service was excellent as well. Such a great atmosphere. As I said before, you do not have to be a golfer to enjoy this. I always thought golfing was boring until I tried this place. It's worth it! Tuesday. Definitely go on Tuesday! Half-price gameplay, no coupon needed. It would be rather expensive if you paid full price. There was no drink happy hour which was a bit disappointing. I love me a good happy hour, but with Half-price Tuesday, I guess I can't be too greedy. At check in we were sent downstairs to a tee box in an area that was not in service. After using the touch screen for a while, and looking a bit lost, someone came up and let us know the check in host had sent us to an incorrect area. They got us all set up on the second floor in a few minutes. All the games were very fun. Even inexperienced golfers had a blast. I love this top golf location! The parking lot is easy to get in and out of and is hardly ever full. It's $45 for an hour of golf and you can add time if you would like. To get a golf card it $5(life time membership) and if you lose it they will replace it for $1. The golfing bays are nice and cool, they have big fans and you can also sit inside and eat at the bar if you don't want to golf. Our server was Nicki, I believe, she was wonderful and attentive. Their mixed drinks are delicious and not badly priced. We had their margarita and it was perfectly mixed, I will say it was better without the salted rim. For appetizers we went with chicken quesadillas. They where full of lots of chicken, cheese, and green peppers. I enjoyed the guacamole that was served on the side of the quesadillas as well. The concept of the game is great. It's fun & a different thing to do rather than the normal bowling or movie. It's very fun and competitive. At this specific location, we only got drinks and the service was good so I can't comment on food flavor. Last thing, the customer service was great. My card was overcharged slightly due to a miscommunication about how many new member cards we needed. When I brought the ticket to the bar, the guy immediately fixed it. No questions asked. While 60 of us waited to check out for over 40 minutes - Belle reached over the rope lines and asked a customer at self checkout to ring her out, so she could skip the line, and then promised the the people at the checkout she interrupted that she'd give them a discount at TopGolf for helping her. She then wished everyone Merry Christmas as she skipped out of the store. If she's this careless and inconsiderate at Walmart, I wonder how she is at work. read more

I wouldn't have imagined golfing could be much fun, but I stand corrected with Topgolf! It is a pretty neat concept that turns golfing into something like a game of friendly/competitive bowling, and is very amateur-friendly as well! The facility itself is really impressive - has a modern and almost luxurious feel to it, but also feels very social, casual, and family friendly. I thought their food menu was pretty impressive for being a sports/recreational destination - I had ordered a gourmet burger with spinach and goat cheese, some parmesan fries, and a coconut mojito - all delicious and about average priced! The only reason I'm deducting a star is because I found the process to get registered and purchase time for the game was unnecessarily complicated and time consuming. Granted, I was there on a Saturday afternoon which is probably a peak time for them - but it seemed disorganized and all-over-the place just getting through the process to get to our bay. I also am not a fan of the fact that it is required for you to obtain membership there in order to play a game...but it is what it is. This place was GREAT! From the time we walked into the facility to the time that we left, everyone and everything was amazing. This was my first experience at a Top Golf location and it will not be my last. I was visiting Tampa and we decided to check this place out on a Sunday afternoon. The parking lot was crowded but there were still ample spaces. The area is huge! Due to it being a weekend, I was expecting to wait. Surprisingly, our wait was less than 15 minutes. By the time we sat at the bar, ordered a drink, we received the text notification. The staff all over was amazing (front door, lane registration, bar, bay area, etc). I'm far from a golfer but I enjoyed this experience. Yes, I laughed at myself for missing the ball way too many times. Lol. And many balls didn't travel far but that's the fun in it! The drinks were good, food was tasty, and atmosphere was nice. There were plenty of families there enjoying the Sunday as well. There are several TV's here so it made watching Sunday football games convenient. One Thing - Some of the balls did not register any points when they were clearly hit into the target areas. Definitely a fun place to take the family/group or even a date! I've come here about 3 times and all the experiences have been great thus far! Most of the time a bay will be ready for each party right as you ask for one, but if there is a waiting period, then Topgolf will make sure to get your contact info so they can send a text when the bay will be ready. The price is definitely worth your money too, especially if you come in a large group. People will pay $25-$35 per hour per bay, as opposed to per person. Memberships are a one time fee of $5. I love playing here because even though I am not necessarily great at golf, I can still score many points (the higher the score, the better the score in this type of golf)! Went for an afternoon with my husband and son. None of us are golfers but we had a good time overall. First the positives: The computers are easy to use, it's fun for those who have no practical golf knowledge, they have a "new"menu item that is a Bavarian Pretzel on steroids and very tasty! Oh and in none of the reviews could I find this info... you don't need to bring clubs, each bay has a variety for your use! The downside: I'm pretty sure our club attendant forgot us at least twice as he disappeared for over 45 minutes one time and 30 for another. He felt bad that we had to wait for our drinks the first time he pulled a Houdini and gave us 15 minutes of play time for free. We were just there for a bit of fun but if we had been there to drink and eat I think we would have gone into the bar as they looked steady but more attentive. read more

They acted as though they genuinely cared and wanted to teach you this awesome game of golf. I'm not anything resembling a golfer, but my first (and definitely not my last!) visit to Topgolf was a blast. The facilities are modern and clean. Bay rentals are easily scheduled online and the check-in process went smoothly. The touch-screen scoring application was easy to use and intuitive. The automated ball-dispensing made tee ups easy and the balls contain unique trackers that sync with the scoring application. Food was okay, but reasonably priced. Ditto on service. Splitting checks (and bay fees) were the easiest I've experienced at any restaurant, making it less stressful for big groups. The max number of players per bay is 6, but side-by-side bays can easily accommodate a larger group. Definitely a good time! read more

Ever since I have been down here in Tampa this is what everyone has been saying to me: "Have you been to Topgolf yet?" "OMG! You haven't been to Topgolf? You need to go!" So I came , I saw and I conquered...well, that last bit is a bit of a fabrication. More like Topgolf was was the conquerer and I was the vanquished. It became obvious to me that all the golf skills I had developed at my grandpa's golf course have since completely vanished. However, the moral of the story should be this: it's okay if you make a complete fool of yourself here; we're not all Tiger Woods, but we're all here to have a little bit of fun. Thank goodness I had come to Topgolf with someone who is a member so that they were able to navigate me through the process. It can be a little confusing, but their staff is also really, really helpful is explaining how the whole process works. It was great too because the staff, specifically McKenzie, who attended to our bay made us feel like we were instant friends. I think Topgolf is a little over-priced, but that is why it really does make much more sense to go in bigger groups so you get your money's worth. But on the flipside, 1 hour (for $35 after noon) goes really fast so bringing lots of people won't allow you to get through too many games in that hour. In the end, though, its a fun experience and a great way to bond with friends, family and dates. P.S. It is great for date night - there's nothing to bring dates closer together than putting your awful golfswing on full display and hoping the other person won't run in the other direction. Lastly, I would definitely recommend getting a drink and some food here. I didn't eat, but it sure looked good. My strawberry margarita, on the other hand, was fantastic. read more

I went with friends to this fun place and it was great. The 3 story tall driving range is fun for beginners and experts of all ages. Even 4 year olds can play, although maybe not score too many points they enjoy hitting the ball, ha. The free to use pool tables are nice on the lower level, and there is even an elevator for those who don't like stairs. The food is priced about right for this type place, and is presented very nicely. Once you enter the front doors, they ask if you have been there before, if so you are in their computer system and if not they direct you to new members to sign up. It's about $5 for the membership, and if you lose or choose not to bring your card each time, it's a $1 fee to replace your card each time, ha. The lines for new member sign up are long and take about 15-20 minutes to complete. Then you must get into the members line and wait another 15 minutes for them to get to you, and assign you an area to play. So this is a slow process just to get started. Seems like it could be stream lined and made to move must faster. Once you get to your assigned playing area there are several golf clubs you can choose from to hit the balls that automatically drop out from your tee off green area. The lounge couches you sit in around a table are very low to the ground, especially for tall or large people people, haha. They're about 1 foot off the floor. The table is decent sized but not really large enough if you have more than 4 plates of food brought out at a time, such as for group orders. It took our server a while to finally get to us and get our drink orders, then took a while to receive our drinks. Although she was friendly, and nice, service was slow. Then it took a while for her to get our food orders, and took a long time to get our food, as we started with appetizers, which we thought would come out quickly, but they did not. When our hot wings finally arrived and were quickly dropped off at our table, I realized that we did not have any silverware or any napkins at all. And we all know how fun it is to eat bone-in wings covered in sauce with our fingers without any napkins. So we all had BBQ fingers until our server finally returned and I asked why we didn't have any napkins with our messy finger foods, so several minutes later she returned with napkins and silverware. Prior to returning with the napkins and silverware, she went ahead and took our main food orders, which after waiting so long for her to return I had forgotten what I even wanted and used my BBQ covered fingers to flip thru the menu and find my order. Then let the server take the BBQ covered menu with her, lol. She had also finally dropped off our drinks at this time too, refills were slow to come, so either order extra drinks on your first order, or drink very slow. Half of our food came out and we ate it while the rest of our group waited another 10-15 minutes for their food to arrive. how nice to watch others eat, and finish while waiting on your food to arrive. The food was tasty and good sized portions. Just very slow to arrive, and it comes out in random intervals. Guess Top Golf thinks since you might stay 2 or 3 hours to play, that they can serve you very, very slowly. To the servers credit the place was pretty busy the day we were there, but still you would think they would have plenty of servers to get people their drinks and food in a timely manner. But you would think wrong, lol. 5 star rating for the fun golf and other available games for a family. 1 star rating for the very slow service. 3.5 star rating for the taste of the food. Wow, 4 stars for a fun concept with excellent delivery. If you don't like golf but would like to try and like it, this is the place for you! My husband and I came here with another couple while we were in Tampa. I'm not sporty at all, but Topgolf made golf a lot more approachable. They provide the clubs, the golf balls, and the beer! It's a great experience. The menu is fun, but not particularly great. The price is slightly high for what you get, but that's sort of to be expected. We enjoyed the snacks for what they were. Also, they have a full bar! Again, sort of over priced, but nothing too crazy. The actual golf area looks a bit like a nicer version the personal area in a bowling alley. You get a couch, a table, and a computer/TV. You can still see your neighbors and its not a private room, but you definitely have your own area. The various games are pretty fun and offer great options if your trying to improve your game. Overall, this is a really fun place and I can't wait until they open a location in Orlando!
