BUYER BEWARE! My 18 year old son saved up his hard earned money to buy his first car. We came to Topline to make the purchase. Our salesman was Eddie. My son actually test drove the vehicle on his 18th birthday and it was supposed to be a good experience. We explained to Eddie that it was his very first purchase and a gift to himself for his 18th birthday. My son works very hard and this purchase was a huge deal for him! We even had this discussion with the salesman, who mentioned in the conversation that he has a daughter. He also took the time to give my son knowledge about the particular vehicle he was interested in. Eddie seemed trustworthy. I wonder how he would feel if someone took advantage of his child the way they did mine? Anyway, my son went to the credit union the next day and was approved for a loan. He was thrilled! I took the following day off of work to drive him back to the dealership to finalize his deal. It was so good to see the smile on my son's face. Just 12 days later, the transmission goes out on his way to work! We called Eddie and explained what happened. We asked what they could do to help. Eddie said he would speak with his manager and get back to us. The next day, he did call back to say the manager is unwilling to resolve the issue. After reading other reviews here, it's evident that the people who run this place are dishonest, sleazy and have zero integrity. There are thousands of dealerships out there. Take your business elsewhere. P.s. I posted a picture of my son as he was driving his first car off of the lot. Look at his face- how happy he was! If they could be so heartless with an 18 year old kid buying his first car, that goes to show what kind of people are running this establishment.

BUYERS BEWARE!!! Please DO NOT let what happened to me happen to you! If you plan to buy a car here please take some sort of car expert because this dealership will lie to you. I was sold a non-drivable car. I was sold a dangerous Honda Civic this year. I can only drive it if I invest $3000 in a NEW MOTOR!!! I already invested $1000 in new water pump, thermostat, and radiator because of leaks it presented the entire month I owned it. (Feb 2021) I thought buying authentic Honda parts was me "treating the car nice". After trying to repair, the car left me stranded in the middle of DTLA!! It was very nerve racking :( After numerous trips to the car shop they found the crack that causes water to leak and my radiator to combust. WE ASKED ABOUT ANY LEAKS DURING THE PURCHASE OF THIS CAR AND PREVIOUS WORK IT HAD BUT THEY LIED. During my very first trip to the car shop, our mechanic noticed stop leak antifreeze being used. We hoped it wasn't used for anything major but we were very wrong. We were sold an $8000 car that they knew would only last a month. I went back to the TopLine to complain to Kenny, the owner. The best he could do was an I'm sorry. PLEASE BEWARE AND RESEARCH BEFORE PURCHASE!! IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE TIME THEN TAKE IT FROM ME WHO HAS ALREADY GONE THROUGH THIS!!

    Very courteous!

I'm in the market to buy a new car but happy to have read the reviews first. I'll be staying away.

This was GREAT!! I sold my GMC Acadia to them. I was skeptical that this wasn't a legit company,…read morepartially because I had never heard of this business model of selling your car, and partially because of the name (it just didn't sound serious.) But I researched it and decided to go for it. It turned out to be the perfect happy medium between doing a dealership trade in (most convenient but least amount of money for your car) and selling my car privately (huge hassle but most amount of money for your car). I made an appointment and went to the Woodland Hills location. The whole thing took about an hour. They did an inspection, posted my car on their portal, and ran an online auction for 10 minutes where we watched a TV screen as about 50 dealers looked at my car. I got about 12 offers I think (10 is average) and I accepted the highest one. You don't have to; you could walk away if you wanted. But that offer was considerably higher than if I had sold my car to the dealership as a trade in. Maybe not as high as a private sale would have been because they are a middle man, but WAY less hassle. An hour versus weeks of fielding emails or phone calls, letting people test drive it only to be ghosted ... no thank you. They wrote me a check right there and I left my car. I had a friend pick me up. It was SO easy. I will definitely do this option again next time. I wish I could remember the name of the woman who handled everything; she was great!! Shout out to her and apologies for forgetting her name!

This has been one of the…read moremost frustrating, careless, disorganized, and unprofessional vehicle purchasing experiences we have ever dealt with, especially for a company of this size and reputation. We placed a deposit for a Cybertruck back in February after Fredy from Tesla assured us the process would be straightforward and that he would personally walk us through everything step by step. We made it very clear from the beginning that we were unfamiliar with Tesla's ordering and registration process and were relying on him as the sales advisor to properly guide us through it. What is especially frustrating is that before we placed the deposit, Fredy was constantly following up with us, responding quickly, and actively trying to secure the sale. The moment the deposit was collected, his level of service completely changed. Communication became inconsistent, follow through disappeared, and the entire experience suddenly felt careless and neglected. It honestly became one of the worst sales experiences we have dealt with. Fredy specifically told us that once we placed the deposit, everything was essentially set and that my dad would only need to be present at pickup. Based on those representations, we had absolutely no reason to believe there were still additional requirements or outstanding steps on our end. Now it is almost June, and after almost no meaningful communication or follow up, we suddenly found out there were supposedly still financing and profile steps that needed to be completed, something that was never clearly communicated to us beforehand. The only reason this was even brought up was because we escalated the issue and repeatedly demanded answers after being left completely in the dark. What makes this experience even worse is the complete lack of communication and professionalism after the deposit was collected. Calls were ignored repeatedly. Messages were left unanswered for days while clearly showing as "read." We constantly had to chase Fredy down just to get the most basic updates regarding a vehicle we already placed money down for months ago. At one point, Fredy even admitted that he made a mistake regarding the process and communication, but after acknowledging it, he disappeared again. Later, we were told he was on PTO, and even after that there was still no proper follow up or resolution provided to us. A customer should not have to beg for communication after placing a deposit on a vehicle. Delays are one thing. Being ghosted, ignored, and given constantly changing information after money has already been collected is another. At this point, it genuinely feels like once the deposit was secured, customer service and follow through completely disappeared. The salesman at Tesla simply took our deposit, and at this point we still do not even know if we are getting the car or not. Even now, calls continue to go unanswered while messages are clearly being read and ignored. That level of disregard toward paying customers is completely unacceptable. Montebello Tesla does not even have a direct phone number publicly listed, so Fredy is essentially our only point of contact, yet he continues ignoring calls and messages instead of properly communicating with us. Fredy, are we getting the car or not? We have been waiting since February and still cannot get a straightforward answer.

Tessa ignored me completely because I was not the person purchasing the car. I spoke to her several times and she pretended not to hear me. When I asked to speak with a manager, she brought over Fred, who immediately dismissed my concerns without even listening to my side of the story. Fred also said he would only speak to the buyer and made comments that made me feel disrespected and discriminated against. Every time we visited, Fred would sit there watching us without greeting or assisting us. We always had to walk up to his desk, and his responses were cold and unwilling. There was no sense of customer service or respect. What makes this more disappointing is that I had just purchased a car here last week and already referred two friends to this location because I previously had a good impression of the store with other staffs. After this experience, however, I no longer feel welcome here. As long as these two staffs continue treating customers this way, neither I nor my friends will return.
