Toppers Pizza is hard to beat. Large pizzas for $9.99 with a variety of options, sign me up! Not to mention the service is fast and the pizzas are delicious. What more can you ask for? I normally enjoy this pizza, however uber eats has a contract to deliver. Every time the pizza is delivered late and cold. Recent order took an hour to deliver, 30 minutes past the text message from uber eats. Driver stated they had a more important customer to deliver to. Call store and the manager Peter said they don't control delivery and driver was at restaurant next door getting a different order and delivering that first. Peter ( toppers pizza manager)stated there was nothing he could do. I asked if the other restaurant and customer was more important than me. He said he had no control over what uber eats does. I ordered via Toppers app, not uber eats. Toppers has responsibility to me, the customer not uber eats. Toppers took my money for delivery not uber eats . This is one of my favorite places in the university area. The university store is way better than their other location in Charlotte. The food always comes fresh and warm and no matter if you choose pickup or delivery - it will get to you warm and fresh. I have never had another pizza place actually guarantee both of those things and then follow through, without fail every single time. If you do choose to pick up, the workers always immediately greet you and help you and always appear friendly. Despite the smaller waiting area, you don't do much waiting at all and are out the door pretty quickly. The ambiance is over all relaxed and calm inside the waiting area- the workers are always chatting and happy to assist you. This place is great- they have great pizza, great vegetarian options, and great deserts! I'll honestly probably never stop coming to this place. I've been let down way more often by the big chains, and never once by this Toppers location. Shoutout to the workers for everything they do! read more

I ordered a medium vegetable pizza without tomatoes. It was the perfect size for me. I have a large appetite and had a few slices leftover. The crust was hand tossed style. (I didn't have the option to get a thin crust when I ordered online.). The crust was thick and hearty but not too much bread. It was the consistency of a breadstick. The sauce was thick and tasted like tomatoes without being too sweet. There wasn't much cheese so I would add extra cheese next time. Since the reopen, we've been quite a few times. We used to drive to the south blvd location, but this one is much closer. Multiple times our orders have been incorrect. The first time, a delivery driver took it with him instead of someone else's pizza. A few times items have been wrong. The last time, we were told that our next order would be half off to make up for it. Nope, we called to place an order. Show up, not only did they NOT actually put the order thru, it was now half off the one pizza, not the order. I did a call in order for carry out. The member was very socially awkward and was trying too hard to be "cool". He did not give me a time on how long my order would take. The had a great deal $14.99 for a large one topping pizza and an order of the toppers stix. We went for the the half cheese, half pepperoni thin crust with the original stix. The order was scheduled to arrive at a certain time and actually arrived 20 minutes ahead of schedule. The "pizza chauffeur" was very kind and offered plates, napkins and condiments with the order. I've tried the California Topper, Veggie Classic, Loaded Tot-zza, and the Nacho Topper. They are all delicious! The delivery driver was VERY nice and polite. He brought enough extra napkins and plates for a few servings. He also added crushed red peppers and Parmesan packets. Now onto the pizzas! Both were fresh and hot. The Ultimate Pepperoni has just the right amount of kick to it. It was spicy but not unbearable. The pepperoni and sausage was very good. I have never had a bad pizza from Toppers. When delivered, the pizza always arrives hot and on time with friendly drivers. The new pricing system (one price for up to two toppings, a higher price for 3+) is super helpful, much more efficient than charging by the topping. The Topperstix are deliciously cheesy (or sweet, depending on your order). I have never tried the wings. The pizzas are definitely more expensive than the national brands, but in my opinion, it's worth it for the options you get and definitely for the quality of the pie. All the crusts are hand tossed and made fresh. My go to is a large cheese with mushrooms, roasted garlic, and garlic tomatoes. With garlic sauce. I like garlic. Sue me. read more

I will say first I was skeptical about trying Topper's Pizza. They weren't a chain, and they weren't Mellow Mushroom. So my boyfriend and I decided to get a pizza from there one night and we never looked back. Their pizza is SO good! They have so many different flavors and toppings and customizations you can choose to do with your pizza. My personal favorite is their Hawaiian. Their crust is so fluffy and tasteful! I love that they have the option to have thin crust on a small pizza-- it blew my mind! Other chains say you can only have thin crust on a large pizza, so this was a nice surprise. Did I mention they have like, 10 different dipping sauces you can do with your pizza?! It's delicious my friend.
