We waited a good 10-15 before being served drinks, and I was hesitant to put in food at risk it wouldn't make it out in time. Alas, we went for it and were able to eat in just the nick of time before heading over to our movie. We went with the burrata app, and it was OK. Maybe I have have burrata standards (lol), but I was hoping for the big ball in the middle to dip into. Instead it was slices a top of sourdough and arugula. Wouldn't order this again, but we did see some of their pizzas coming out of the kitchen which looked delish, so maybe that's the play next time! Note: you can take food/drink to go from there into the movie theatre! Something we weren't made aware of until the end, but good to know for future.

They were closed this day for some reason, but I knew Backlot had the same owners and wanted to give them a try and thought this was a good opportunity. We thought it'd be good to have another "regular" joint to get our happy hour fixers for the week. Our server Nivea was nice enough and came by often to clear out the table for us. We tried talking with her a few times, but she wasn't in a talking mood. A little more friendly would have gone a long way, but that's ok, we weren't there to make friends. She was still very helpful, giving us good directions as to how to place the order and pay, which was all done at the bar, and she would bring the food to us. The best part of the night was the ambience. It's really pretty inside, and super airy and well lit. We came in a little after 5 on a Tuesday, so it pretty empty, and sat by the window where a lot of light was coming in so it just felt really nice. The food was medium. The wings were exactly the same as what I get at Buchanans - not the best wows I've had, but solid. I got mine naked with sauce on the side, and actually, the sauce was a tad better. Our friends had theirs tossed, and they looked really good. The Detroit Classic pizza was good. But not worth $16. We were at happy hour, so only paid $9, so we were pretty happy. It's more of an individual sized pizza for a man rather than a sharable. Spinach and artichoke dip was not worth $13, but good for the happy hour price of $7. actually, I really enjoyed the dip, but it came with a HUGE portion of sourdough (I didn't have any cuz I'm on keto, but the rest of my table killed them - apparently pretty good lol). It was really too little dip for too much bread. Thankfully, it came with carrots and celery too, which was perfect for my keto. But...! the veggies were dreadful. It was mushy rather than crunchy. Weird. I asked our server whether they are blanched or something, just to make sure. She had no idea, and said she could get me more, and came back to tell me that the kitchen will cut up some more for me. It took about 15 minutes, and the new ones that came out weren't much better. Out of the 3 pieces of carrots, one was actually crunchy, while the others were bendy and mushy. Gross. Celery looked just as wilted. My friends didn't want to touch them, but commented that they looked like they were maybe frozen previously. When our bill came, we found out that Lakefront IPA and Alaskan Amber aren't domestic. Since when did Lakefront go international? So, word of caution, check which "domestic draft beer" in their happy hour is considered domestic. They seem to have a different definition of the word. Also you may have to check your bill to make sure the happy hour items are billed to happy hour prices. I just feel that overall, the prices are higher than warranted for the fare received, but ok for happy hour. Taste, quality and presentation wasn't quite up to the expectations from the atmosphere and price.

Crab and Goat Cheese Balls Five balls of deep fried cheese balls atop honey (says honey orange sauce, but it tasted like good honey), garnished with green onions. Not my cup of tea, but I knew going in cuz I'm not a fan of goat cheese. Hubby wanted to try, but didn't seem really wowed either. Wings Very well done, moist on the inside and crispy on the outside, just like I like it! Didn't try any naked ones and they don't have dry rub, so we just had the tossed in 2 sauces. For 18 wings, we can choose 3, but we just went with 2. They came in rectangular bowls, and were tossed in sauce, and also swimming in sauce (which we could dunk our cheese curds in... yum) Scotch glaze - very honey-ey with a tang of scotch as an aftertaste. On the sweet side. Sweet Garlic Teriyaki - very sweet. Too sweet to taste the garlic. I'll pass on this next time. Next time, try the Buffalo (two guys who came in after us got 18 of them just Buffalo, and they looked good). Perhaps try the bourbon BBQ. Maybe naked with sauce on side? IPA Boulevard Wheat - nah. Pass Terrapin Hopsecutioner IPA - quite hoppy, melikes. Terrapin High and Hazy IPA - Hany Likes. Really good. Overall an awesome happy hour dinner! The wings were so good and at such a great price point being half off that we didn't try the burgers, but we will definitely be back, so we'll try them next time.

This is a great location; so happy to see it filled again with a new eatery. It sits inside Bayshore mall on the second floor across from the ACX Cinemas. My first impression was how wonderfully designed the restaurant is! It has a lovely and inviting exterior, and the the decor inside is great. You can tell there was a lot put into meeting the theme - wooden & plaid walls, proper English pub couches, Premier League flags hanging from the ceiling, signs and framed art work that certainly matched the concept. They did a really great job! We were one of the only tables in, as it's brand new and was a Monday night, so not too surprised. The staff seemed to still be in training, but our server was sweet nonetheless. We sat at a low top with a highchair for our son, who also got a kids menu for coloring. Off the bat we ordered him a kids cheeseburger meal, since we knew he'd be hungry asap. This came with a wildly-generous amount of fries and two cheese burger sliders. Our overall thought on the menu is that it's a bit high priced, but either way we were excited to give it a try! I stuck with water and my husband ordered a Stella from their large tap beer selection. He noted that it was hard to drink because it super really flat. As for food, I had a hankering for wings so I opted for the "Six Fired Smoked Wings" from the appetizer/shareable section of the menu. These were delicious, came dressed in a tasty bbq sauce, and had plenty of meat on the bone. Totally hit the spot! My husband went for the Bangers and Mash and was sadly disappointed. Granted he's from Northern England so he has high expectations, but I think the biggest crux was that there was no gravy (despite the menu listing there would be). If you're from the UK, you know having a classic dish like this without gravy is unthinkable ;) All in all, this is a beautiful venue and I hope to see it thriving in the coming weeks. As with any new establishment, they've got some kinks to iron out, so we'll have to plan a return at some point to give it another go.

Got the classic combo, windy city (love the hot giardiniera on that one), Hawaiian (yes pineapple belongs on pizza), the meat mania (dang that one is loaded), and the white pizza which has fresh garlic, tomato, and spinach. Honestly they were all tasty! Definitely a fan of the thin-crust options here. Oh and they're all square-cut which I feel like it worth mentioning because square v triangle is always a debate. Overall great for a big group! Chopped salads x3 were also in the order and just didn't go down well with anyone really. Very subpar, tons (and tons) of iceberg lettuce and not much topping. The sweet Italian was more oily than anything. As for ordering- it was seamless. Went online a few hours ahead to put it in / pre-pay for it, and it was great that we could select a pickup time.

They also introduced a Lower Cal menu, which also had some great options. While my family prefers their pizza, which is always delicious, I love the choice of healthier options in case you have a taste for something other than pizza or pasta.

Handmade pizzas + fresh ingredients + 900 degree oven = Absolutely delicious in about 5 minutes! That's faster than most drive-throughs these days. Not that I'm comparing them to drive-through food (I wouldn't dare insult Trailer Pie like that). One of my 5 favorite pizzas in Milwaukee just closed for business. I was so sad. But it's true what they say... one door closes and another one opens. Seriously, this is a 100% awesome variation on food trucks... and one of a very few that are worth following.
