I really like Torchys. They have several locations and the food seems to be consistent at every one. I stick the the crossroads and wrangler taco. I also like the beef or chicken fajita taco. The tacos are a bit pricey and cost about $4 to $5.50 each. I only come here for a snack. If you have a large appetite, you will spend a considerable amount of money to get full. The atmosphere at this location is always lively in the evening and they have a full bar! read more

So all of my friends that recommenced Torchy's to me are must be gluttons for punishment ... $14 for a drink, one taco with chips and basic queso. The line took a very long time even for a late lunch, don't expect them to have regular drinks which I found out to late after I ordered and paid ... friends failed to inform me they had their own brand of fountain drinks so I could have saved some money on the drink or at least ordered an adult beverage instead ... Front counter staff was kind of in a rut of just trying to get the line moving, the staff bringing out food was very nice. Quality of food was very good but at easily $3.50-$5.00 a taco I may as well make what I want at home or go to my favorite locally owned place vs this chain. read more

You're open and I love it! Close to home, check. Good food, check. Trendy bar and outside patio, check. Open early on weekends, check. Friendly service, check. Always, always get queso here. I tried the hillbilly queso this time, with chorizo mixed in, and that was really good. I also really like their chips, as they're fried but oddly soggy in parts but in a good way. Baja tacos are good. Diablo sauce is freaking hot, which makes me happy. Cannot wait to go back... thinking gym followed by cocktails on a Sunday, before noon. Daniel (Danny) I think his name was who gave me a quick rundown of the menu food etc was over the top when it came to customer service and doing it with a smile. He was genuine and so kind to help my first experience be one that was worthy of a review. He asked the questions in what I liked didnt like etc to make sure I made the right selection. He did a great job telling me about the rewards program as well. He made me love Torchys just from how kind, helpful and genuine he was. To the general manager: On several occasions when I have visited your establishment the female bartender with long brown hair wearing a cap throws out a steady stream of profanity. F-bombs and the the word Sh** are blurted out loudly and non-stop as she converses with her customers. This seems to be a regular thing with her as it has occurred multiple times. Don't get me wrong; in a biker bar or in some sea-side dive catering to sailors -- no problem. But, I have no doubt you want your employees to project a better image than that. I want to feel that I can bring my family in for a meal like I have on many occasions. Aside from that one employee, I have had nothing but good experiences with your food and your staff. I know she is young, but you need to let her know that she diminishes herself when she projects herself in such a way. She also negatively affects the climate of your establishment. read more

Never got a hello, never smiled, and just had the most sour attitude in there, like I'm sorry if you're having a bad day or something but at least be nice to your customers that are tipping you. I've always liked Torchy's, so it was nice to see this one open closer to me than the other locations in Arlington and Fort Worth. Basically, the taco's are always good, good salsa, drool over the queso, same story every time. I like the food here, and this one will probably be a regular hang out or go by, unless I get burned out, or they do something really bad. Different layout here, bar is completely inside versus the usual, half bar inside, other half outside concepts I see at most others. I was told Torchy's will mostly be going to this standard in the future as health codes are getting more restrictive. But it's a good size, and there are several TV's behind the bar for your sports watching. Good selection of craft beer with a couple commercial swill brands added for bad tastes. Just opened, so there's lots of employees getting in each others way, and you can already kinda see the ones that are gonna wash out, or get washed out. Hopefully this will settle into a pretty reliable location. Tables and booths inside, good size dining room. You can get in line as you enter, or, like my sad self mostly, if alone just bypass it and go sit at the bar and order there. Anyway, nice place, hope it stays that way. Staff seem capable, but there's one thing that bugs me when you sit at the bar, and it's the same thing that happens at EVERY Torchy's I've ever gone to... Food runners can't seem to figure out what goes where at the bar. "This yours?", "no", "this yours?", "no", etc. etc. until they find the right person. Yes, the seats are in a numbering system, but still...EVERY visit, I get asked multiple times if food is mine, even if I have food, or empty trays, in front of me. Last visit, here sadly, some food goober asked me "Is this yours?", "nope", went next to me, "this yours?", "no", started to walk back by to the service alley, and, NOT KIDDING, turns back to me "you sure this isn't yours?"..."YES, I'M SURE!". Customer had walked away from the bar a moment, turned out it was his stuff...BUT, this could EASILY be fixed by giving the food to a bartender, and let them hand it to the right person. I can't say enough about how tasty these tacos are but I will do my best. The attention to detail and fresh ingredients are usually the foundation which everything is built on. I can think of tons of examples but let's use the fish sandwich from McDonalds. Yes, I know I am a sick person. These might be the ravings of a mad man but this lunatic loves him a fresh (I know it was frozen) fish sandwich WHEN it is done right, which is almost NEVER!! Too little sauce and it's dry or too much and it's soggy. Well Torchy's tacos don't deviate from their attention to detail. I am holding back a star for two things. The first is the time it took for them to cook my two tacos and secondly the awareness or lack of regarding the Thursday night NFL game. How in the world do you have on a replay of the Thursday night game and not the live Chiefs vs. Chargers game? Mahomes vs. Herbert is about as good as it gets. Delicious in all ways! I love this locations setup! If you have never been here the tacos are the best anywhere, popping with flavor at sizzlin prices! Love! I LOVE how they modeled the inside bar of this location, quite long, comfy stools, with plenty of televisions. On that note, my deducted star was due to an already disappointing snarky bartender staff. Nothing more annoying than "competitive" or passive aggressive women to other female patrons. Hello! We all just want to eat in peace & enjoy our tacos. The End. Management keep your eyes out! Last thing you want is someone running off your ladies! Phenomenal service by Jocelyn and her manager on duty (ahh I forgot his name but it was the closing shift on 5/25). The team and overall staff were very friendly! We hate being the people to come so close to closing and thought they closed at 10. It was past 9, the actual time for closing and no one rushed us or made us feel like we needed to leave. Apologies on us taking so long as we didn't know! The food was great and the manager was super thoughtful in explaining our option! Loved the brushfire and trailer park trashy always a great day at this torchys but the manager and Jocelyn really went above and beyond. I think the manger's name was Brandon, Josh or Jose (I could be completely wrong) but he even came by to check on us and made sure all of the food came out great! We use to come here about once a week but not that they've cancelled their drink specials we have been going elsewhere. With taco joints around every corner, Torchy's isn't the greatest thing anymore. This evening it took a very long time to get the bartender's attention to place our drink order. In the past we were greeted immediately and served. There were literally 4 other people sitting at the bar. Just a few weeks ago the bar was so packed it was difficult to find a seat. Something has recently changed and it can be seen in the lack of service and lack of customers. I'm sure we will be back but I prefer supporting the local taco joints like Cartel Taco in central Arlington. The food is still pretty good just know you're going to pay $5 for a draft beer. read more

I must confess, when all my friends were drinking the Torchy's kool-aid, I was refusing it like a Cosby Colada. However, I got talked into going, and MAN I was missing out! I went in on a Saturday before something that I was disallowed physically to drink for (!!!!!!!), so I cannot speak to the bar, though the drink menu sure looked swell. I ordered 3 tacos. I cannot recall the names, but obvs (if you know me), I didn't order any meat but fish. I had the Salmon taco, the Shrimp one and the mushroom one. I regretted eating the mushroom one first, because it was THE BEST! The mushroom had a light, crispy fry. The sauce was a bit spicy, which I liked. The Salmon one was great too, and the Shrimp was my least favorite of the three (something about the texture and taste just didn't work). Since that day, I have wanted to get the Salmon taco and the mushroom one again. One of these days, I will make that trek once again, and perhaps I will report back with news about that bar situation. read more

Be warn the food preparation is low standard. Had the Crossroads Taco, the food was cold and not very good. I should have sent it back but I was hungry and ate regardless. Disgusting! To begin, the chorizo and egg taco literally was a whole lot of egg and a small spoon serving of chorizo over it. My boyfriend and I frequent this Torchy's because it's right near our home. The bartenders are GREAT, but the food is ALWAYS cold. Last time it was the Queso..cold UGH!! The time before that it was the meat on the taco itself..cold. Today, the chicken on the chicken fajita taco was cold, but the street corn was ICE COLD. The bartender offers to replace one uneaten cold taco and the corn and package to go, takes it to the back and returns with both items in a neatly packed bag. I take the corn out and check it, and guess what, it's ice cold. No exaggeration ICE cold. The manager came out and offered an explanation for the consistent cold food and offered to comp our meal (we declined) just wanted them to know how dissatisfied we have been the last few trips. Yuck! Went there this weekend with my daughter after the Rangers game. The atmosphere was pleasant, geared to a younger crowd. The people there were friendly. The food was not good. I got basically a brisket taco. WAY OVERPRICED! When it got to the table the tortilla was cold and hard liked it got microwaved a little too long. The brisket was underwhelming and cold. No sauce just some green stuff in one of those teeny tiny containers that have about half a teaspoonful of sauce. Come on! Almost 4 bucks for a taco and you are being chintzy with sauce?? Maybe I'm being too harsh. I'm from San Antonio where we know how to cook brisket and know Tex-Mex. Forgot the Metroplex is a little too fru-fru when it comes to Tacos. This location is my Sunday go to for a great breakfast on the run. I love their funny named tacos. They have always served me well. All I can say is keep up the good work and easy on the egg. Tacos are meh, queso is off at this location, someone from HQ needs to verify the recipe is being followed... but especially bad was the customer service here tonight. Extremely unpleasant. I wasn't greeted when I walked up to the register, just some young kid staring at me... saying nothing. So I greeted him! Asked how his day was, trying to relay the message: I come in peace! "What do you want?" and not "what can I get started for you?" is what I got out of this dingus. So I start my order and mention "oh hey, there are some new things on your menu" at which point, ya know, would be a good time to say "let me know if you have any questions" right? Dead silence. I ask about the Alabama Shake catfish taco and if the breading is seasoned because I remember a friend saying it was bland. Kid says "yes" and gives me a death glare as if I literally were currently taking a dump in his queso. Maybe tell me what it's seasoned WITH? Getting good customer service should not be like pulling teeth, christ. Oh and newsflash: it's not seasoned. There's maybe some salt. MAYBE. A single granule. One micron. And holy crap, AVOID THE ELOTES. They are NASTY! Absolutely dry, no seasoning AGAIN (did you guys run out of salt today??), and the little FIVE DOLLAR to go cup wasn't even full. So I might as well have just lit a fiver on fire and eaten that. Prolly would have tasted better than these dry ass elotes... DEFINITELY would have been more pleasant than this kid's attitude!
