Torchy's is phenomenal! I've never had a bad meal here. They have unique, delicious tacos, and many options for customizing to your taste. Manny, the manager of the Forest Lane location, is incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make my boyfriend's first Torchy's experience awesome! We will continue to visit this location because of his hospitality. They also have a gluten sensitive menu online which is really helpful for someone with Celiac like me. You can switch to corn tortillas for any of the tacos and change up the salsas as you wish. Torchy's is a crowd pleaser and must try! read more

I'm a huge fan of this place. M-F 3-7PM HAPPY HOUR - so margaritas are less than $5. Get the fried avocado tacos and add the queso dip on top. You won't regret it. I'm a big fan of the Torchy's Tacos chain, I kind of feel like they can do no wrong. This is my first time trying out a Dallas location; I've been to the Austin in Houston locations, and comparatively, I did not think this one was as good, though I did still really enjoy the food. I ordered my two old favorites, the Democrat and the green chili pork. The Democrat is a barbacoa taco with onions, cilantro, and salsa verde. I thought the barbacoa was a bit salty this time, which is the reason I am deducting one star. The green chili pork taco comes with onions, cilantro, and a large slice of fresh avocado. It was good as well, but a little less flavorful than I remember from elsewhere. Torchy's is always good, but I may be more likely to try another location before running back here, especially since it is so far from my apartment. However, if you are completely unfamiliar with the Torchy's brand, I highly recommend trying them out! read more

My visit awaits here again, but in the great city of Dallas. (Hint: last visit and first visit was in Austin). I ordered the Trailer Park trash (I name it that because I went trashy with it) and the Brushfire. Both were really good, but my favorite was the Trailer Park all of those gooshy cheese and flavors washing around in my mouth. I love the ambience of this Torchy's Tacos, great wall art, and the love the light fixtures they are so beautiful to me. I also love how they have organic soft drinks and the prickly pear lemonade was good, but different. The Nookies were an orgasm in my mouth. Yes, they were THAT good. Chocolate oozing out of the fried dough. I didn't understand that concept of the cherry being there, but it was still good. I don't even think their tacos are expensive, you get much more flavor than a regular original taco. So, you basically can't go wrong there. Next time, I am in Dallas I will be back!! read more

Looking for a taco spot in Texas and my friend brought me here! We came in the pouring rain and Torchy's was still busy! You order at the counter, are given a number and your food is brought to you. HINT: The have the menu on the board, a weekly menu and a "secret menu." Lots of options! I had the "preacher" on corn tortilla (yes, you have an option). My friend had a taco and we split a guac/chips! Some of the best guacamole I have ever had! Taco was good but a bit cold. The tacos are large enough that you basically get two in one. Great food, however service is lacking sometimes. Called in ahead, they said wait 20 minutes, I showed up 20 minutes later, and food wasn't ready, had to sit down for while they made it. They gave me a number and said they would bring it to me. That almost happened. They then decided to start cleaning the table I was sitting at with my number on it. Sure, that would normally be a nice thing, but they decided to step it up to the next level and sweep literally underneath me. They are serious about cleanliness, I will give them credit for that. After waiting 15 minutes at the table I got up and asked what was going on. My bag of food was just sitting there in the corner, after numerous other take out orders came and went. All in all I liked the place, but I didn't know everything was a little spicy- hence the name Torchy's. You have your choice of flour or corn on all the tacos. The homemade chips are good and so is the guacamole. The queso was a bit spicy, but all in all good flavor. I had the avocado taco on flour and the baja shrimp taco on corn. The piece de resistance comes on the form of the Little Nookies. Fried chocolate chip cookies with powered sugar. The inside was all moist and doughy- I think I'm in love! read more

I have been wanting to try a Torchy's ever sine I touched down in Texas and finally got a chance. Torchy's definitely was not disappointing and even though I ordered delivery, I was impressed. I ordered the queso, tomatillo salsa, chips, and the fried chicken taco, the democrat, and the chicken fajita taco. I was so impressed with the spice level of the queso and of course with how big of a portion only have the queso was. The fried chicken taco was definitely my favorite, with the chicken fajita taco a close second. For some reason the democrat was the only one I didn't like, as something about the flavoring of the meat threw me off. Yesterday my husband and I came in around noon to order tacos to go. I ordered the salmon and fish, he ordered the brisket and one of the chicken tacos. The tacos were really good, and we were so excited because we thought we found our taco spot. However, that changed quickly. Within 2 hours of consuming the tacos he and I both realized someone was off in our bodies and we had food poisoning. He was up all night with diarrhea and I was vomiting. I'm going to assume there was a level of uncleanness during the prep time for this to occur considering we didn't eat the same thing. Super disappointed and will never ever frequent this place again. Ever since trying this establishment in Dallas, I've been hooked for life. Their tacos are so hefty and flavorful. No kidding, I've gone to Torchy's more often since I've been out here than any other place. When my husband and friends visit, this is the place I would take them for sure. My favorite to get is the fried avocado. I recently discovered that their pickled onions are out of this world amazing, and adding it to the fried avocado taco takes the flavor profile to a whole other level. The fattiness from the avocado and heaviness of the flour tortilla are cut with the pickled onions, and it is one of the best things I've ever eaten. I love getting their Matador taco too. It's on their secret menu and has chopped brisket, pickled onions, jalapeños, jack cheese, and it's in a corn AND flour tortilla. It was SO good and I would highly recommend trying it. I tend to get chips and salsa... their poblano ranch is seriously so good, and I also like getting their roja sauce, which is just your basic red salsa. Their green tomatillo salsa is ok, but it tends to taste a bit too smoky for my liking, but it's fantastic on tacos. I love this place and it's definitely a constant craving. No matter how empty or crowded it is my tacos take a minimum of 25 minutes to get. Often they are lacking the appropriate amount of cashiers so add on 10 minutes for that. Decided to try the queso here and it was delicious. Very creamy and flavorful. Also got the trailer park extra trashy and the independent. The tacos were so big and filling. The trailer park had a very nice and crispy piece of chicken full of cheese. The independent had some tasty mushrooms inside it's taco as well. Torchy's tacos are much more flavorful than most quick food taco shops. They offer soft flour or soft corn tortilla tacos that are filled with a variety of meats and ingredients. The menu explains the unique tacos names and the meat and toppings included. You can customize your taco but they do a good job of combining flavors so I only find a reason to change between flour or corn tortillas or the sauces. The sauces range from mild to hot (diablo). I am a fan of the queso and guac. Torchy's does not hold back on flavor. read more

Usually here Saturday morning for breakfast tacos. Consistently very good tacos. I've had Monk, Dirty Sanchez, and Ranch hand. All excellent. I always get the Sanchez. Very unique and tasty. And the diablo sauce is wonderfully hot. Beware but be impressed. They used to have problems keeping coffee urn filled but last few months that seems to be solved. Bizarre soft drinks. Got one once and didn't finish it. Why not Coke, DP, Pepsi? Often too cold inside. 5 stars is for the food. Tacos are the best I've had in Dallas. read more
