I was in the area and tried Taco Joint for the first time last week. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I got the Tex- Mex Cesar with jalapeños ranch dressing. The salad is pretty big and it has juicy chicken pieces, deep fried jalapeños and avocado slices; along with the traditional croutons and Parmesan cheese. I loved this elevated Cesar salad and I will definitely visit Taco Joint to try more menu items.

Super nice staff, huge selection of tasty tacos. Spicy pork street tacos are a fav along with the 3 crispy ground sirloin tacos.

Popped in on a whim because I was wanting chips and queso. They blew it out of the ballpark! Queso is the bomb! Hit the spot!

Oh boy once I discovered this place I've been addicted! I love their Barbacoa tacos and their disaster queso is so so good!! When leaving I saw their daily specials and I cannot wait to come in to get the hangover special which I don't know what it is but I'm sure it's pretty dang good!

Cool murals and album covers all around is reason enough to check it out! Good casual date place for this reason. Lots to look at.

Taco joint, Preston and Beltline on the Richardson Addison border... I love this place sooooo much! All locations are consistently awesome but I was so excited when I found out that they opened a Taco Joint on Preston by my house! I've been going to Taco joint for years and I actually used to drive once a week to the one in Lake Highlands just to get breakfast burritos for the week (or to share with friends at Sundays at the park). It's a great deal and much better than frozen breakfast burritos.  I just get a bag of 6 and eat one every day Monday through Saturday. Everything I've tried on their menu is really good but the secret is to get plenty of the spicy jalapeño ranch at the salsa station,  and if you are like me and like heat,  be sure to ask for the behind the counter sauce called XXX. It will cure your allergies! Also... they are super fast, super friendly,  and it is a fun atmosphere. They are right by bank of America, Tom thumb,  and across the street from Trader Joe's, a gas station,  and a pet store so once you get your breakfast burritos, enchiladas, or tacos you can run all your errands fast in one spot. 10 stars! Highly recommend!

The food was 10/10. Just like the branding says, simple but so good!!! Will definitely be making a stop here next time we're in the area! The ambiance was chill & fun to look at the art/album covers! Unfortunately I only got a photo when we were halfway done but it was delish! The sirloin tacos were the best!

I'll skip the pastor and chicken quesadilla next time, and try and get the birria tacos if I'm there on a Sunday. I didn't get a picture of churros but they were the best I've ever had. Crunchy and flavorful. Service was fast, but the calling of your name (to pick up the order) is super low. I don't know how my friend heard our name. Ambiance is loud, but I was also there during the Mexico WC game, so that's understandable. The place was lively and fun.

There are multiple locations in DFW, and this review is for the Chilangos in Dallas off of Ross. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - The two Chilangos locations I've been to are both located in strip malls with a bright, neon "Chilangos Tacos" sign above the entrance. Inside, there's reggaeton music, tons of patrons, and ESL here. Once you place your order, grab a Jarritos, a bright red metal seat, and watch the staff cook your tacos to order. 1 Star. Service - The staff are very friendly and efficient. It really helps if you speak Spanish, so go with someone who does, or point to the menu item you want. Once you place your order, grab a seat and wait for your name to be called. The staff is super nice and efficient, and our order was available in about 5 min. 1 Star. Food - Birria Quesatacos with consume. Memorize it and order it. Kudos to my son who swears by this dish. I am now a believer. The tender seasoned shredded birria beef is so flavorful. The quesataco style melts the cheese into the corn tortilla. And when you take some diced onion and cilantro to top it, dunk it in the consume before biting into the most flavorful taco served in DFW. According to the menu, this dish is only available on the weekend, but I've used food deliver services to get my consume fix during the week so YMMV. Bottom line, it's not just the best item on the menu, it's the best taco bite in all of DFW. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. Chilango Tacos is expanding in DFW. There are now multiple locations in all of DFW so there should be a location near you. Chilangos Tacos is now in my weekly rotation. 1 Star.

The surrounding neighborhood, however, was a pleasant surprise. It's a trendy, energetic pocket of Dallas that I had somehow never explored before, and it immediately caught my attention. The restaurant itself is quite unassuming. If I'm being honest, it didn't exactly scream "come on in." On this particular night, there was only one employee working. It took nearly 10 minutes just to place my order and another 15 minutes before the food arrived. By that point, I was more than a little annoyed. Then the tacos showed up. Talk about a complete plot twist. Not only was everything beautifully presented, but the flavors were absolutely unbelievable. Whenever I visit a taco spot, I like to order a variety so I can get a sense of what they're really capable of. This time it was the al pastor, carne asada, and Baja tacos. One word....incredible. I can't tell you which one was best! I've had great tacos before. I've had places nail one or two selections. But I honestly can't remember the last time three completely different tacos all delivered a perfect punch in a single sitting. Every bite was packed with flavor, expertly balanced, and memorable in its own way. Without question, this was the best taco trio I've ever had. What a roller coaster of a visit. I went from feeling completely ignored and wondering if I'd made a mistake, to wanting to walk back into the kitchen and hug the chef. Sometimes great food doesn't just redeem an experience--it completely rewrites it. The Taco stand is GOATED
