We prefer corn tortillas not the typical flour and they were served very dry and would not hold the meat. This location is slow which isn't good (weird to say that). I usually sit at the bar and get either club soda+lime or torchytini made with habanero tequila at any location. For apps it's always chips, quac followed by a matador or a Democrat with diced jalapeno sausage, both tacos with poblano cream. I probably go to Torchys once a week. This location is definitely my favorite as it is close to my home and I really like the decor. Best place for a frozen margarita and some chips and queso! Trailer Park trashy is my go to and the Naughty Santa from their secret menu. On my last visit Ximena was very helpful after I told her I was in a rush. This is the newest Torchy's in Fort Worth. The decor is really cute and trendy. It is much bigger than the Northton location. I got the queso and it was amazing, as always. Their breakfast tacos were a big disappointment. You can barely taste the meat and they did not use much salt and pepper. That's typical of all Torchy's locations. This location uses gps pagers so they are efficient at getting you your food and drinks. The line was not that long, but I waited for about 10 minutes. I think this was because they just opened and they were not used to the screens. This definitely needs to be improved because it was way too long of a wait for the length of the line. read more

This place is really confusing. The decor makes your head hurt and looks like they just found what ever was on clearance when decorating. I did not feel particularly welcome or like anyone even cared that there were customers. The girls at the register talked for a solid minute to each other before acknowledging my husband and I. I love Torchy's - I was one of their first customers when they opened in Austin. Their food is awesome. However, this location is seriously lacking in customer service. As I do often, I ordered online. Their carry-out counter is usually (mysteriously) closed. Today - a massively busy Saturday - is one of those days. I've been in line 16 minutes to pick up a to-go. There is one person working the registers and she disappears often or is on the phone. Get your #%$&@ together, Torchy's on Hulen. You're disgracing the whole business of tacos. read more

My second attempt at visiting a Fort Worth Torchy's. The result was much the same. Bungled order. And, the cashier managed to mess up the order for the lady in front of me as well. That queued me to double check my order. I was overcharged for something I didn't order. I asked for the queso on a taco and I ended up with an extra taco. I received a credit card receipt and I couldn't figure out why it was so expensive until they brought out the order. Tacos were marginal at best. Mr Pink was an over seasoned piece of fish. The queso is great, but not worth a trip or headache just for that. It is extremely disappointing how poorly run these restaurants are now. When they originally showed up in DFW, it was much better. Came into what used to be one of my favorite places looking for a quick bite to eat, my boyfriend and I ordered four tacos to eat in the restaurant and after waiting for 25 min we decided to go up front to ask that they just put out food to go at that point, another 10 minutes later our food was brought out to us. I'm a fan of torchys, but this location is always terrible! You tip when you pay, but then you always get slow and bad service. They consistently mess up orders and then are slow to fix them. The queso, which is one of my favorites, was also disappointing and the chips were stale, other torchys locations are much better than this one. read more

I love the food here, but the service is horrible. I took my family of four here and we were 1 Taco short. I told our server we were short and he went about his business. This location is not a great one. We've been several times since they opened and it's had its ups and down but for the last month or two, it's definitely been down. They only fill their sauce cups up ¼ - of the way so you have to ask for more so your taco isn't dry. This takes forever to get the extra sauces too. They don't fill up the bowls for queso or guacamole all the way. Only the male bartender with the beard actually watches tickets and gets drinks to people. There used to be two bussers that were good but they seem to have left as the last couple times we've gone, the place was been a mess. The staff sit on their phones at the counter or chit chat instead of doing their jobs. We love their food but this location needs some serious work and consistency. I seemed to be cursed to feel strongly about restaurants with great food and WOEFUL operations. What an outright SHAME it is to have great food, great concept, and just fail to execute again and again. The difference between this and a truly bad restaurant is that here, customers WANT you to succeed. I experience this in spades when I come to this Torchy's. Great food, terrible operations. I called in an order 50 minutes ago and am sitting here now waiting for it. Still. Also, the queso is the BEST IN TOWN. But the chips portion served gets you, inevitably, through about half a bowl. Want an extra basket of chips while that queso is still warm? Sorry. The operation designed here - where food runners bring out orders - is not designed for such requests. The runners are not trained or incentivized to take requests back to the kitchen. PLEASE fix it. We're all rooting for you. read more
