I'm not much of a car guru, but I did know I was extremely over priced. So I started looking for another mechanic to take it too, and was referred to Reyes Auto. Fast forward to today, wake up to find my car will not start at all. I called Daniel at Reyes and he immediately came to my house, jumped my car, AND drove it to the shop. Got it checked out and quoted me $1500 LESS than what Toyota did. I have a 78 K5 blazer that's bagged and body dropped and I had just installed the vintage air AC and a brand new painless wiring harness.... I ended up needing the AC charged and a few bugs addressed with the wiring... in a relatively short amount of time (4weeks)... they got it all knocked out quickly and even figured out the new compressor and starter I installed was junk and got me taken care of quick... even when I had to deal with Hurricane Harvey and set me back a few weeks, the shop was understanding and let me keep the blazer their till I could come get it. We agreed on a time for me to bring the vehicle to him, but when I arrived, he told me he had a family emergency. I drove back home, and we agreed that he could pick up my car from my house instead. Javier never responded that day, and I followed up the next day asking if everything was okay. I received no response. A few days later, I called him, but my call was sent to voicemail. I eventually took my vehicle to another mechanic, who informed me that the oil leak appeared to be related to the front crank seal, camshaft seal, and oil pump cover area, which he said should have been addressed when the timing belt was previously replaced. Javier was the person who performed that timing belt service. I was disappointed by the lack of communication afterward, especially because I had trusted Javier with my vehicle for nearly two years.
