Everything on the menu is really well made and delicious... Except the tortas! The tortas are bland and lack flavor, sloppy and just overall a disappointment. It's ironic that their namesake is their weakest dish. The burritos and tacos, especially the asada, are absolutely delicious however and full of flavor. The grilled asada is definitely recommend as the meat of choice. The horchata is the best we've had anywhere and it truly is like crack. The churros are good when they're made well, but they're very inconsistently made. Sometimes they're loaded with cinnamon and sugar, other times it's just dough. The pozole is good but inconsistent as well, depending on how old it is we feel. Sometimes it's loaded with flavor and seasoned just right, other times it's just an oil slick of fat that's simmered too long. Overall if you're looking for some good Mexican food locally they are a solid choice and you'll probably be happy with whatever you choose... Just skip the tortas! read more

Delicious... I Called at 7:45 PM on Saturday night. The young man that answered the phone was so friendly and helpful. They close at 8:00pm probably due to the pandemic... They didn't rush me... When I arrived my food was ready to go. I got home and our food was hot and delicious. We ordered the Chicken family meal and an extra pound of Carne Asada. Soooo much delicious food. I had the machaca torta sandwich. I was a little confused because this sandwich was recommended to me and does not seem to be on the menu. The sandwich was good. Maybe a four-star for the quality of the food. It was a bit on the smaller side compared to tortas I have had in the past. For $10 I expected a little bit more. What a great find for those living in the mountains of Glendale where there is a lack of good tasting Mexican food. We ordered a carnitas burrito (wet), chicken tostada and kids cheese quesadilla meal which comes with rice and beans. All of this set us back $20, not too shabby! When the food arrived, I must admit we were both wow'd with the presentation. The burrito was huge, the tostada looked amazeballs and the kids meal looked as big as an adult dinner. Now the taste. All of the food tasted really good! I wish my burrito had a little more salsa in it, but other than that, all of our plates were cleaned off. The service here was also amazing. After working up an appetite at Descanso Gardens, we decided to grab a bite. (4 1/2 stars cause the drinks were gross) I loved this place even though I'm far from being an expert of Mexican food, so take it how you will. First came the chips with two different sauces. The pictures of the juices looked great so we decided to try them. I got the Pura Dieta (Pure Diet) and my friend got Mango Luciados (blended fruit with milk). Pura Dieta was a blend of pineapples, carrots, beets and celery. The celery completely overwhelmed everything else in this drink, so as you can imagine... it was gross. I guess anything with the word Diet in it... should be considered to be nasty. My friend liked the mango drink, but I thought it was too sweet. Oh well... the food made up for it.
