    Alambre de pollo y asada
    Paloma O.

This place never misses. Their aguas frescas are so good. My favorite is the fresa one. Their food is well cooked and tasty. I have had their enchiladas, alambres, tortas and carne asada plate. Wow. The carne asada plate was delicious. As soon as you sit down, a server comes and attends you quickly. They always have a Novela playing and some fire music. There is always seating when I go. I would absolutely recommend trying.

I liked the place, the food is full of flavor. The shakes and fresh water flavors are best second to none. Place is spacious, is clean, TVs were showing sports. Everything was great only two cents and would recommend to improve is the service. There was nothing wrong with it but food took forever our waiter was busy. In all honesty food makes up for everything else. Either that or I came in to eat in the middle of change of shifts. I would just say hire 1 or 2 more people

Fast at making and prepping the food! My order was hot and ready within 10-15 minutes of me ordering it online. I love the agua frescas and the complimentary chips!

    Sopes salados

This has to be one of the worst food services I've ever experienced. First, the torta only had three ingredients: beans, lettuce, and meat and they barely put any beans or meat. It honestly feels like they're trying to cheat customers by piling on lettuce to make up for the lack of actual filling. I even noticed another party who ordered three tortas, and theirs were made the exact same way. Then we ordered the sopes, and once again, they skimped on the meat and beans, loading them with so much lettuce you could practically make a salad out of it. As for the quesadillas, they were so oily we had to dab them with napkins. On top of that, they always seem to "forget" that quesadillas come with sour cream, guacamole, and pico de gallo. Every time, we have to remind them to add the sides or point out that they forgot them entirely. Lastly this one staff with blue hair and blonde hair was eating Cheetos while working. She didn't even try to hide it she was behind the juice counter eating them and facing us.

I've been coming here for years since I was in highschool and the service has always been great ! Very welcoming and inviting . The food always tastes great and is never cold or dry ! Always has great presentation as well! I'll always come back whenever I want something delicious !

Love coming to Tortas Sinaloa! Their Culiacan torta is my favorite. Tere was my server and she is always amazing, attentive and fast! Highly recommend this place, presentation is good and quality is great!

    Jamaica with chips and salsa

I enjoyed the chips and salsa with the fresh Jamaica drink, which is huge. The egg and chorizo burrito was delicious and more than enough to share with another person. I wish the music was not so loud, but I would return to this place to order something different.

Their aguas frescas are the best. I like. The alambre i tried. Customer service could be better but not sure if it was a bad day

The ambiance for this place has downgraded drastically. It is no longer a family friendly place. Do not come if you have young children. The food was very tasty like always but the vulgar music they had playing talking explicitly about sex and profanity playing really ruined the dining experience. I am very disappointed because I genuinely enjoy coming to this place with my family, but we will not be returning. The least they could have done is played the clean version of the songs to accommodate guests. Service was also not so great. It took me a few minutes to get my server's attention because she was too busy talking and the blond younger cashier could see me waving at my server and made eye contact with me but chose to look away and ignore me. I don't know what's going on with staff lately because I've been coming for years and they've always been very attentive and helpful but they really lacked great customer service today. This all took place 2/22/25

The torta espcial was good. I would prefer to have the Fontana torta because it was way better. The service needs a little more work on being more diligent with being alert with their customers. Overall I would come back to eat tortas only, nothing else I would eat besides the tortas.

The photos caught our eye, but they don't even do justice to the actual experience. The modest facade completely hides the gem buried within; the moment you step through the doors, you are transported into a beautiful, vibrant atmosphere. Despite arriving just before 7:00 PM on a busy Saturday night, we were seated incredibly fast. We had the absolute pleasure of being served by Karla (with a 'K'). Her enthusiasm, attentiveness, and deep knowledge of the menu were top-notch--truly a model for how the entire service industry should operate. As for the food? Out of this world. From the presentation to the flavor, the attention to detail is flawless. It is completely clear that Rosa Madera was created by someone with immense vision and heart, and they've managed to find a staff that shares that exact same passion. We are so hooked that we will absolutely be making the trip back from San Diego with the sole purpose of eating here again. In the meantime, my friends and family are going to get sick of me over the next few days, because I refuse to shut up about this place!

Thanks to Restaurant Week, we stumbled upon this gem, and we are so grateful. The hospitality alone would earn five stars. But then came the food. The tacos? Absolutely exceptional. The steak was tender and flavorful in a way that reminded me of eating throughout Mexico, you could actually taste the meat. A light, gentle pickle of vegetables on top, minimal cheese, nothing heavy or greasy. These are not the American-style tacos drowning in a pound of melted cheese. These are the real thing. The beans were lovely, the rice was solid, and my passion fruit winearita drink was genuinely a treat. Restaurant Week gave us the perfect low-pressure reason to try somewhere new, and we walked out with a new favorite. We'll be back for lunch. We'll be back for dinner. And yes, Taco Tuesday, we'll absolutely be back for that.

To make matters worse, one of our meals was completely forgotten. The service was extremely slow throughout the entire visit. Every time we needed something, whether it was a refill, an update, or assistance, the wait felt excessive. The restaurant may have potential because the food itself was flavorful, but it seemed like they were either understaffed or unprepared for the number of customers they had. Another disappointment was the drink selection. We were told they don't have a liquor license, so hard alcohol isn't available. Their sodas were canned, and when we asked for juice for the kids, they told us they were completely out. As for the atmosphere, the restaurant is on the smaller side and felt more like a converted house than a traditional restaurant, complete with a fireplace and television in the dining area. The food had good flavor, which is the only reason I'm giving more than one star. Unfortunately, the long wait times, missing meal, lack of drink options, and poor service made the overall experience disappointing.

I used to LOVE coming to this place... until I realized their customer service seriously sucked…read more First off, the food is honestly a little on the salty side, but I kept coming back because I liked the place. Then this happened. I brought my family here for dinner, and when we were closing out the check, the server failed to mention that gratuity was automatically added for a party of 6. I didn't realize it until I was about to sign and saw that I was about to leave ANOTHER tip on top of the automatic gratuity. I was like, oh HELL NO, I'm not tipping $80+ So I asked the server to refund the entire transaction and rerun the payment correctly. She told me she couldn't do that, but said she could refund the extra tip instead. I said okay, trusting that she knew what she was doing. We left. Fast forward about 4-6 months later. I come back with different family members, and the MANAGER comes over and tells me I have an outstanding balance of around $150. At first I genuinely thought he was joking. Nope. Apparently, when the server was supposed to refund the extra tip, she accidentally refunded the ENTIRE BILL and kept the tip. ‍ Now explain to me HOW that was my problem?! I specifically told her I wanted the entire transaction refunded so we could start over, and SHE chose to handle it differently. That was THEIR mistake, not mine. And the worst part? Instead of pulling me aside privately and explaining what happened, the manager brought this up IN FRONT OF THE FAMILY I WAS WITH. So now I'm sitting there being told I owe $150+ in front of my guests because of an error THEIR employee made months earlier. Talk about embarrassing. Thank God I'm in a position where I could afford to pay it, so I paid the outstanding amount AND my new bill that day -- over $300 out of pocket -- just to resolve the whole situation. I paid everything they said I owed for both visits, and I have never gone back since. And I WILL NEVER go back. Between the salty-ass food and the customer service, I'll take my money somewhere else. Just sharing my TRUE experience because I think customers deserve to know what happened.
