First off, the stuffed mushrooms are the best ever outside if New England! Sausage and cheese stuffing instead if traditional crab stuffed mushrooms, really good! The service was great, my waiter Sean was very informed and helped navigate a really big menu, it was hard to choose! The waiter was very proud if the place, even boasting how everything was fresh and that there was bit a microwave in the kitchen! For an entree I went with a Bronzini special. It was very good! The place us really big, but still comfortable and casual, and the menu feels fresh and authentic. Many options but still unique and different (Belgian flounder marinated in beer??), I would definitely return! I don't do 5 stars on Yelp often, but I really liked this gem! Great food, great service, great atmosphere, overall a perfect experience. Restaurants are struggling with staffing issues, but you wouldn't know it based on the fast and attentive service my wife and I had. Eddie was our server and was fantastic. The food here is without a doubt the best there is. I had been there 3 times before, and always was impressed. The other night, we had the Grappa Shrimp appetizer. Perfectly cooked and presented. What stood out was the Buffalo sauce. The best I have ever had, by far. Perfect mix of heat and flavor. So good. Entree- Linguini and clams, with shrimp. Unbelievably good. This was the second time I had this dish here, and both times I said that it was the best meal I've ever had, no exaggeration. Fantastic experience, and I can't wait to go back again. Ambience: Gorgeous restaurant. I'll post a picture. Service: We had a good waiter. He was attentive yet not overbearing. Food: We started with the Calamari and Fried Zucchini appetizer. The calamari was on point . Crispy, yet soft inside. The zucchini was soggy and oily. Not good. For dinner, I had the Cacciucco. It was as good as I had expected. Deliciously seasoned with seafood that was perfectly cooked. My husband had the Veal Parmesan. It was yummy...but again, just as expected. We also ordered a side of Broccoli Rabe. It was overcooked, wilted and under seasoned. Will not order again. Why I gave this restaurant 4 instead of 5? Well, our experience was good and worthy of a review. But overall, it just didn't blow me away to deserve a 5/5 rating. I would definitely come back and try more of what Toscana 52 has to offer. I visited restaurant with four other family members on 4-3-22 at 2:30 PM and I found after we dined I was not impressed. Two of us ordered gnocchi, one with meat sauce and mine with Alfredo sauce. The meat sauce one was a satisfied portion and mine with Alfredo sauce was a minimal serving of approx 20 gnocchi's (no joke). I feel the kitchen staff made a mistake. I did not tell our server who also had to be reminde to bring the oil-garlic along with our bread until we we're half way through our meal. I left the restaurant hungry. I feel the the kitchen staff made a mistake preparing my meal Also we had our 4 year nephew with us and he was served his pasta 15 minutes after our meal was served. I don't believe in partial servings, everyone should be served together. I contacted the restaurant this 4-4-2022 AM to speak to the manager and was told he busy and to call back after 2 PM. I called back at 4:59 PM and was informed the manager was on a conference call. I left my name and telephone number for a return call from the manager and as of this writing (8:15 PM) I yet to have a call. My sister in law was also calling concerning our nephew's service which was uncalled for. We will never patronize this business again. We do not recommend this business. read more

Do not go here on Valentine's Day or any other busy holiday. Waited over 15 mins to be seated with a prior reservation. Food was great but we waited at least an hour and 15 mins for our food to come after we ordered. When we got up from the table, people were reaching over us to clear the table and gave me a nasty look when I said I wasn't finished with my full glass of water. The decor of Toscana is beautiful! You really feel like you've walked into some Italian villa with their pergolas and vines and stucco. The restaurant however is very dark and loud inside. You can definitely tell all the food is homemade from the pasta to the meatballs. Very large wine selection too. Great place for a casual dinner or a celebration. read more

We each ordered one drink at bar and hostess said we have a half booth half chair, we said that was fine . She said she needed to clean the table. We ordered another drink, and finished them. Mostly the service was the issue. Buggiest issue was while waiting for my table some older man walks by the hostess and was yelling at her in front or everyone.. turns out he was the OWNER!! How embarrassing you felt the need to yell at your employees infront of people. Wait was about 25 mins so we sat at the bar to get a drink. Took awhile to even order at the bar but once we did the one bartender was making my drink and then the other bartender brought it over to someone else.... The restaurant setting is really nice, all staff were in masks and tables were well distanced from each other. The menu has a wide selection of meat, poultry, seafood and vegetarian options. We were a group of 4 and we ordered the Sicilian Duck, Lobster ravioli, scampi rapini and chicken parmigiana. Everyone enjoyed their meals but The duck is a must try, it was tender and not over cooked or chewy. When we were asked for the dessert menu we were presented with the tray shown in the photo. It was a difficult choice but we opted for the panna cotta, white chocolate banana bread served warm with gelato (so good!!) and Mille feuille with mascarpone and grilled pears. The dessert was absolutely wonderful! They also serve authentic Italian coffee (Lavazza) so if you're a coffee lover their coffee is not to miss. I came here expecting very good italian food. It was good for its basic food, but i dont consider it a real italian place. Their blue cheese and italian dressing were a little off, like too rich or something and i didnt like the tomato sauce. My family agreed that everything we got was slightly off, and we had wished it would be more of a homemade feel, but it was alot of young, very nice courteous, waiters/waitresses; very nice. It didnt remind us of italy is the impression we had, but they were all nice people. But for a basic eatery, the food could be considered within another category. read more

Ate in their outdoor setting recently and they were very accommodating and good. The host was going to sit us close to where everyone was until we requested to be seated farther away where there weren't many people. The setting is still nice and under an event-style tent. Their calamari was excellent as it also came with shrimp for more of a Tuscan-style starter. The ravioli and rigatoni dishes were amazing. It was just enough and filling. I am sooo disappointed in the food and service in this place tonight. I'm visiting from out of state and heard so many great things but from the beginning, our waiter was not the friendliest, our bread was cold so you could t really enjoy the flavored butter, our crab cheeecake was way too cheesy and it was mush. I ordered the linguini w clams which stayed was in a white wine sauce, but when it came it was drenched in red tomato sauce. I picked at it and just couldn't eat much of it, it was not good at all. This was always one of my favorite Italian restaurants near bucks county. It's close to parx casino and is huge so we never had to wait too long for a table, even on busy event days like graduations and stuff in the area. Ambience is nice, service is great and food is usually pretty darn good. We've tried just about everything on the menu with a few favorites like the lobster bisque, very rich and creamy and the fiery chicken rigatoni and the raw oysters. We've tried so many things but we have favorites that are off their regular menu but they will make for us like a penne a la vodka dish and a crab meat fra Diablo with capellini pasta. All amazing! Their weekly menu specials are a nice touch and add some variety to their menu. Their drinks are great here! I love the mango margaritas! Only thing is prices are on the higher side here with some pasta dishes easily in the mid 20s and entrees in the $30s. I go when I really want Italian food and do not feel like driving into center city and dealing with the hassle of parking, etc. read more

While not frequent customers, we regularly travel a bit for the excellent food and atmosphere. We also respect quality customer service. Didn't happen on Wed. with Maria. Started off good with our drinks and she said take a few minutes to enjoy your cocktails (wine/Beer?). After 10 minutes drinks were done and we had to ask the bartender for another round since we could see Maria yucking it up with a table in the dining room. Bartender left drinks on bar for Maria and when asked she told me the other table was a party of two. We ordered one more round and again Maria could not be found. Bartender again asked for order but this time another server Eduardo noticed us and retrieved the drinks. We had earlier complimented him for attentive service of 2 tables in the bar area. We asked Maria for check and told her a comp drink might be in order. She responded that she knew we were not happy with service but never returned, nor offered a comp to us and had Eduardo present the check. When leaving, Maria turned her head and kept walking when we said goodbye. Wife and I eat out 5 days a week and employees can bring you in or keep you out. Started with wings and shrimp for appetizers. The wings were good, shrimp was ok. A little tough around the edges. My husband had the linguine and clams in red sauce, he loved it. I had the lobster tails with asparagus. The lobster were a little over cooked, dry and no flavor. The credit card machine wasn't working, due to loss of power from a car accident on Street Rd. We had to wait a good 20 minutes for the machine to start working again, since we didn't have cash. I come Bensalem once a year for a client visit. I came to Toscana three years ago for the first time and come back each visit since. Very attentive wait staff. Nice atmosphere. They offer varying signature special dishes highlighting different Italian regions in a rotating schedule. Delicious food, good prices, nice servers, and a beautiful restaurant! Where do I start with this? Toscana 52 has no doubt some of the best food that I have ever had for a reasonable price. My go to order is the " champagne pear sachetti". These little pastas are to die for. Creamy sauce, fresh pear, cheese, nuts... a very original dish. The wings are AMAZING. So crispy and the sauce is tangy and spicy. The best wings in the whole world. The lobster bisque is fantastic as well. The lunch prices are much better than the dinner prices and are around the same portion size. Because of this, I would say go for lunch. Unfortunately, lunch prices are weekdays only, I believe. Their sea food is fresh, and meats are delicious as well. I have never been unsatisfied with a meal. Service is great as well! Overall, we will be coming back time and time again. read more

Dark interior with a nice setting but not too dark, the mood and setting is perfect. It's not very loud or quiet so it's very manageable on a volume level. Food has always been on time and the restaurant cleanliness is "almost" always on top. Front desk greeter should be always professionally mannered which isn't always the case. It gives off a bad impression when the desk greeter isn't put well together. On top of that for several months a curtain has been hanging loose like it's broken off next to the greeters desk. Now if this is a prestige restaurant how hard is it to replace the curtain to make the front entrance look decent??! read more

Well let me start by saying this place is brand new. As in official opening is today. The 52 in the name refers to the 52 weeks in the year to which they plan to have different parts of Italy featured on their menu every week. The decor is beautiful, they have a lot of large party seating, beautifully painted ceilings, 3 large flat screens in the bar area to watch games on but with the sound off so as not to annoy the adjacent diners. The booth seating is large with very earthy feel of warm hues of leathers upholstering it. They is an area for for a party of about 6-8 that is the round high backed booth which I have only seen in mafia movies. Nice decor touches however do not make for a pleasant dining experience. They graciously let us in when it was supposed to be a "friends & family" opening weekend. They are officially open today. Well they certainly have some growing-pains to work out. 1.) Service was excessively slow. We entered at approximately 7:15pm and did not leave until 10:15pm. There was a good 10 minute wait for our waiter to even approach our table. Then the waits only increased from there, 20 minutes for our drinks to come out. Which were incorrect. I ordered a blanc wine and was served a Shiraz. Then there was a good 30 minute wait for the appetizer, and another 45 minutes to get our entrees. We were not happy campers. 2.) Service was disjointed and bad. On top of the wine being incorrect we were given our Carpaccio appetizer it was served along with one salad for another member of our group. The other salad ordered was brought out after another waiter cleared the plates. Also the only refill given was by another waitress. So perhaps we just got a bad apple out of the staff. Our waiter then proceeded to clear our silverware, and 10 minutes later bring us out fresh forks & knives. Then we waited and waited and waited and waited for our entrees. 3.) The quality of the food was poor. If you decide to try this restaurant order the Champagne Pear Sacchetti. It was the only dish we ordered that has any kind of seasoning. However the filling of the pasta was a little too sweet due to it mainly consisting of pears. Both chicken dishes ordered (one was the special Florentine) were bland and tasteless. The salads were unremarkable and the only thing good about the appetizer was that the beef was edible. All the dishes were beautifully plated though. But alas this does not make the dish taste any better. So in summary there is beautiful decor, nice seating, nice atmosphere, nice plating, but horrible service & food. Since they are so new I may go back at a later date to see if they have improved. If so I will accordingly update this review. read more

Welcome to Olive Garden. For people who think they're too good for Olive Garden. That's got to be what this place's appeal is. Because otherwise there's no accounting for the slightly fancier decor and & jack in prices. Went here for a large birthday gathering on a Sunday evening. Before we even sat down, I couldn't hear half of what people were saying at the table because of how noisey it was. Our waiter rattled off the largest intro and specials list I have ever heard, except I didn't really hear it because of the noise. We didn't get glasses of water at the table until we'd been there a half hour and we didn't get our food until nearly 2 hours after our arrival. I wasn't drinking that evening and was never asked if I wanted a refill of my drink -- or my water - and our waiters (2-3 of them at different times) never came out between the actual order/delivery of food and drink. It wasn't until I was starting my dinner that I was able to snag a second glass of water --- except they never removed my first water glass, or my lemonade glass. Glasses everywhere. Across our entire table. The Lobster Bisque was on the fishier side. The Four Season Salad was like a sad version of Cosi's Signature salad with shallot-sherry vinaigrette dressing that wasn't done right at all. The desserts were brought out on a tray and described by the waiter, rather than a menu - I think it was to try and tempt you to order something. This tray had clearly been making the rounds that evening. At 9:25 pm on a Sunday -- you think I was going to trust that they weren't going to just remove the tray and serve me one of those plates? Pass thanks! Groups aren't easy. I've seen more restaurants fail than succeed when it comes down to it. But if the food is good -- or it would've been good if it weren't cold by the time you got it, etc. I might consider going back someplace with a smaller party. I wouldn't even bother giving this place a second chance. If you want great Italian made from scratch - go to Cosmos Restaurant & Bar in Fairless Hills! read more

Toscana 52...take 2 Went to Toscana for a second time, thinking maybe the first time I had gone too soon after they had first opened. This time I went with two of my best friends. The service was better, although at the end of the meal when we were trying to leave, our server took forever and a day. The food was very tasty this time--definitely no complaints about flavor. HOWEVER--later on that night, I got sick. One of my friends who had gone with me got sick. The next day I called out of work--and my coworker told me that someone had called asking to book a party (we are event planners) for her daughter. The client had previously booked at Toscana--after three of her friends got sick, she cancelled her party there. HER friends had eaten there the same weekend my friends and I had eaten there. Coincidence? Regardless, I will not be returning nor would I recommend this place. read more

Turning A Bob Evans to this Master Piece of workmanship was an incredible design and ideal. However, No waiting room seating, is all smoke free but chairs they do have the outside has smokers filling the fresh air. So if you are handicapped or have any type of injury where you need to sit, better wait in car, they do not give you any type of seating in waiting area. The Staff does not smile Much, very cold they seem. Menu was nicely done love the 52 specials gimmick. Let's start off with the downfalls and bad points, bread 2 slices and a pad of herb butter enough for one spread, very slow service, food prepared very nice. I am not a big fan of the taking of silverware, even if you put it aside they reach across your table and just take it very rude, just have to forks at the beginning, just have 2 forks on the table in the first place like most dining places do. I do not like this part. Meals were good just a long wait to get them, brings salads and appetizers same time. So over all another place to eat if you don't mind the wait, or the staff lacking any kind of smiles, servers reaching across your table to take your forks and knifes, slow service this is the place for you. I like most of the food Dessert tray was not impressive, music in background not my taste, to Italian need some Dean Martin. I wanted to do a Mother's Day lunch in NE Philadelphia, not knowing where to go, I asked a friend for some suggestions, his friend response, "Toscana52!". So, Toscana52 it is. We showed up and were seated instantly. The hostess was very friendly and our waitress was full of energy and extremely knowledgeable about the dishes offered. The atmosphere was very rustic Tuscany and extremely roomy, definitely an excellent spot for a big party. We all started with appetizers, Tuscany Stuffed Mushrooms, Elba Island Mussels and the Deep-fried artichoke hearts. The mussel dish, even though an appetizer, was big enough to be an entree (my bf's mom finished every last one and thought the sauce was divine!). The stuffed mushrooms were good and I would recommend them, but next time, I would order something else. As for the deep-fried artichoke hearts, there was nothing special about them, they were good, but nothing worth bragging about. Now onto our entrees, two of the three were off of the "specials of the day" list and the other was the crab crushed tilapia. We all enjoyed our dishes and cleaned our plates. I won't say they were the best Italian dishes I've ever tasted, but they were good (keep in mind that this is coming from a girl that have tasted some of the best Tuscan food straight from northern Italy). My dish was a pasta dish with different varieties of sea creatures (lobster, clams, mussels, prawns and fish), the little sea crustaceans were delicious, very fresh and well seasoned. I liked that there were more sea crustaceans than pasta, but that's just me. My boyfriend's mom enjoyed her tilapia very much and complimented it multiple times. Sad to say, I can't recall as to what the third entree was, sorry. Now as for the desserts! One of them was the white chocolate banana bread pudding and the lavander panna cotta; both were AMAZING and gone before you can even count to ten. I'm not a bread pudding fan, but those were excellent. Overall, service was excellent. Food was good. Price was a little on the high side, but definitely an overall good experience. Really nice place to eat, the food is solid and it is reasonably priced. The desserts would be my only complaint, not great. The bread is really good that they serve beforehand, and I don't live close enough to frequent this place, but if I did live closer, I would definitely go in often. i also like the atmosphere, it is fancy, but also quiet and elegant at the same time. Our waitress, Jessica, was prompt, pleasant & on-point! Drinks & bread & butter were brought immediately. She took our dinner order & we didn't have to wait very long to enjoy our meals. My favorite place to eat when in the area! Love it here! Recently dined and the decor was very festive! Put me in the holiday spirit! I had the ravioli with ricotta cheese, dark chocolate, orange zest, and carmalized pears and it was delish!!! Cant stop thinking about how they perfectly paired those flavors and it actually worked!!
