we are locals and drive by here lots of times we finally tried it. place looks appealing and staff was very nice. 4 of us 3 pieces of bread for starters should have walked out when they gave us butter instead of dipping olive oil ( the disrespect) my son asked for cherry coke was charged for soda ($4) and grenadine ($5) first time ever being charged extra for a cherry coke. ordered stuffed cheese raviolis ($19) I got 6 of them no salad included on dinner entrees unless you pay extra ($6). my kids chicken parm $26 had 10 pieces of baked ziti. wife had fiery chicken pasta was good and portion was adequate. other kid had chicken Marsala $27 looked good and tasted great very little spaghetti and 1.5 pieces of chicken. Had a really delicious private room lunch here today. The food was excellent and served in generous portions. The service was attentive and efficient. I am certain that the general restaurant has the same food service and attention to detail. The decor is very nice and thy have a large well stocked bar with a number of tv's placed for easy viewing. I tasted a little bit of everything that was served to our table and all were outstanding. My Pasta fagioli was full of beans,pasta and pancetta. The bread was crisp on the outside and fluffy inside. The whipped butter made a nice match. My Salad of Jumbo Lump Crabmeat with avocado, mango and mixed greens was refreshing and a nice combination of flavors. The cannoli I has was hands down the best I have ever had. Fresh ricotta cream with chocolate chips and candied fruit, with a fresh berry on top of a crunchy tube drizzled with chocolate sauce. This was our first time eating here after my sons Communion today. Everything was perfect! Our appetizers were delicious (Bruschetta and Calamari). The calamari was fresh and not pre-frozen with a light breading. Our entrees (Gnoochi, Ravioli and Lobster Ravioli) were unbelievable. The pasta sauce and the gnocchi were cooked to perfection. The meatballs were stuffed with some gooey goodness of mozzarella inside. My son ordered chicken fingers and fries. My expectation was some deep fried chicken fingers that you would get a pizza place, ya know? Nope! It was fresh cut-breaded chicken breast sliced in strips. Everyone cleared their plates without one complaint! Our server (sorry- his name has slipped my mind), was so great and extremely attentive. The atmosphere was a little dark and while eating at 4pm, but nothing to complain about - just an observation. We will certainly be back! read more

I've made a point to visit Toscana on two recent business trips to the area and my second visit was just as great as the first. Toscana 52 was the perfect setting for a team dinner, and we enjoyed great service and food from start to finish. We started with the grappa shrimp, fried calamari and stuffed mushrooms of which the calamari was the clear winner. Entrees we're all received by lots of "yummy" noises around the table, but I was particularly jealous of my coworker's cacciucco which looked fabulous. And if that wasn't enough we shared a few desserts from the dessert tray including a chocolate mousse, strawberries and cream, cheesecake and a delicious tiramisu. With more trips planned to the area, I imagine we'll be visiting again soon! read more

Tried this place out for a birthday dinner. My friends and I ordered a chicken parmesan and champagne pear sacchetti. The sacchetti was tasty, and a little sweet due to the pears and the cream sauce. Bread and butter was also provided while we waited for our order, but the bread was cold, instead of being warm. Our waitress was very nice and kept checking back to see if we needed anything else. The only downside is that the food took a while to come, probably more than 30 minutes, which I felt was longer than expected. The exterior and interior of the establishment is well decorated and loved their fountain in the front of the restaurant. read more

A bread basket soon you sit down. Everytime I go to a restaurant I always get just shrimp alfredo but this time I wanted to try something different & I'm glad I did. I ordered chicken parm & it was very good. I've never ordered a chicken parm anywhere only because I'm not sure if their red sauce will have enough flavor. This place actually did. It wasn't the best parm I've ever eaten but it did leave me wanting more. I wish I would have ordered a 2nd entrée to go. The mini Caesar salad was fine just needed a little bit more dressing for my liking. I do love that they bring a tray of all their desserts to your table so u can actually see wth your ordering. In town on business and this place was recommended. I stopped in on a quiet Tuesday night. Plenty of seating options so I sat at bar. I enjoyed a nice Syrah. The staff was friendly and attentive. I ordered the cacciucco, which is a seafood dish in a tomato broth. It was excellent. None of the seafood was over cooked and the broth was very well done. Quality of food has seriously declined. Had fish that was dry and overcooked. Wasabi "sauce" was more like paste. Waiter mostly absent and never came back to see if meals were okay. When he finally did return I showed him dried up fish and he said he would take off bill. Instead he brought "free" dessert and still charged for meal. Got the manager and he said waiter had no right to offer to remove meal from bill. Eventually the meal was removed but after a bad meal and hassle by Manager I doubt I would return here. It used to be a great restaurant but another diner in our group also had "just so so" pasta dish. Just not caliber it used to be. read more

In October we celebrated my aunts 90th birthday at the restaurant. The service was phenomenal, and they did a great job, preparing for our guests and serving them while at the restaurant. Everyone raved about the food (especially the salmon and lobster ravioli) and the service. My favorite was the crudo sampler. Thank you for making her day so special! More recently we had to order several days of food for my same aunt when she was unable to use her kitchen over Christmas. She was very pleased with her perfectly prepared duck and lobster bisque. What does the word reservation mean anymore? I made a reservation for a Sunday night and still waited 30 minutes to be seated. This needs to be corrected or being able to make reservations needs to be removed. Other than that, food and waitress service was great. The lobster bisque is wonderful, not too salty and the wedge salad is good but very plentiful. I would share this with a big table The italian sushi: shrimp elegante was great. I love the seasoning on this, it's fresh and crisp with the perfect amount of tangy. My entree was thick spaghetti with meatballs. The noodles were good but the sauce and meatballs need more work. The sauce needs more salt and seasoning and the meatballs were verrrrry dry even with the cheese in the middle. My mom got the seafood risotto with the fra diavlo sauce which was AMAZING. I had a work lunch here last Wednesday. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. I ordered a Caesar salad with Salmon. It was the smallest piece of salmon. For a $20 salad, you would expect a little more. But the salad was amazing. The dressing was delicious. You could taste hints of fresh lemon. I wish I would have asked for some to go. Came here for dinner based on the great yelo reviews. Its a big restaurant, very cute exterior and even cuter interior. It definitely feels very romantic with dim lighting and the noise level is just right for a conversation across a table. The food however, leaves a bit to be desired. The bread basket was dropped off almost immediately after we sat down. The bread crust was rock hard and the interior was very dry. Not sure if this is normal but it seemed almost stale? We ordered a Fried Calamari to start, which was just ok. It could have used more seasoning and a better crispy exterior. It was a bit soggy and left a grease spot on my plate. I ordered the homemade Gnocchi with Butter Sage Parm sauce. It was also just ok. It could have used more seasoning and some type of crisp element as everything just seemed soft and mush. My friend ordered the Lobster Risotto Special, which was also fine. It had a good bit of umami flavor but the lobster tail came with its shell still on. Being that it was risotto and just the tail meat, please take the meat out of its shell. I'm also pretty sure the lobster was cheaper Spiny Lobster, not Maine, which has a bit stringier meat. I would have liked a touch more creamier texture as well. The portion sizes on everything were HUGE and we both had enough for lunch tomorrow. We shared a chocolate mousse for dessert which was also just ok. Good punch of chocolate flavor without being too sweet, but the texture was a bit like the whipped yogurt instead of what I typically associate with a mousse. This Italian restaurant has a great ambiance, lots of space for large groups or parties, good food, but mediocre service. We recently went for my mother in law's birthday with a group of about 10 people. Everyone was arriving from various places (PA,NJ,DE) on a work night, so we trickled in over the course of 20 min or so, ordering drinks (whenever we could catch the waitress) while we waited for the rest to arrive. Once everyone was there it was still tough to catch the waitress' attention for our meal orders. There was also a decent wait for food to arrive. The meal was very good though. I had the cacchiucco, a big bowl of seafood in broth, which was delicious. We had plenty of bread on the table which was perfect for sopping up the rich broth. My husband had a wedge salad (so fresh and crisp!) and chicken parm which was also very good. I word of warning about the pear sacchetti that someone else had ordered - it is fairly sweet and rich but the portion is not huge. First time here but certainly not my last. We had 7pm reservations on a Friday night, we waited about 10 minutes and then was seated... It was a Friday night so that was acceptable. The place was packed and filled with lively cheer, wonderfully decorated with Christmas decor. I ordered the bisque as my appetizer that never came, I was a little disappointed that our wait staff didn't notice that after about 10 minutes I didn't have it. After about 15 minutes our entrees came, delicious! I ended up telling the person that delivered my food to cancel the soup. We had dessert, that was also very good. It was my dad's 80th birthday celebration and we were a party of 14 people. Our reservation was on a Sunday at 5:00 p.m. and the restaurant was packed. We were greeted and seated right away. I wanted to give this review five stars for food quality but one star for stealing $405.30 but that wasn't an option. I have never written a review online, good or bad for anything in my life but I had to create an account to share my experience. if you are planning on having an event here, DON'T! It's not because of the food which was excellent, but because of their manager who completely ripped us off. We booked a funeral luncheon here after several people told us it was such a great place. Prior to booking, we were asked how many people and not being sure I told them 50. I really had no idea so I asked about minimums and was told it didn't matter how many people would come, we would pay by the person so we put down a deposit. Only 11 of us ended up at the restaurant. After a really great meal, we got a bill which included 11 desserts, 11 salads but 25 dinners which at $28.95 each was an overcharge of $405.30 plus tax and the automatic tip of 18%. We asked to see the manager who wouldn't budge on the bill. His reasoning was that we told him 50 guests and he was nice enough to only charge for 25 and "eat" the cost of the other 25 meals. This I completely don't understand at all. The food was not buffet style or pre-prepared so they didn't lose money on that. He also argued that he had to have extra staff there to prepare and set up. If that was true, why didn't we have extra staff serving us? And the private room supposedly set up for us became a non private room after five other tables in that room were used for other guests. So I guess we then, according to the manager, paid for their setup and service. If there was a minimum, why wasn't our deposit charge for 25 or 50 x $28.95 per person so we would have known in advance what to expect instead of being blindsided. Realizing we were getting nowhere with the manager and his charges, my wife then said to him if we paid for 25 meals and only got 11, could we have the other 14 to go? And he said "I can't do that." I really didn't mind paying the money, but I don't think it is fair or good business to charge someone for 25 items and deliver 11. And whatever flimsy excuse he decides to hold his hat on, it was especially disgraceful two hours after I buried my mother. Bottom line... the food is great. but don't ever, EVER book anything there without having an EXACT head count and make sure it's in writing, read more

I'm confused how this establishment is still in business. We first went here many years ago when it first opened and said it was awful and would never return. Well, we decided to give them another chance...mainly because we were in the area and starving.... it still is not impressive. We were served cold hard bread for a appetizer while we waited for our entrees. The herb butter that came with it was tasty, but the bread tore the skin off the roof of my mouth. My husband got veal parm, and I got fish. My fish still had skin on the back of it in places. It was like they tried to take the skin off, but then just gave up in some spots. My husband said the veal parm tasted nasty, it honestly looked awful...like diner food. We left with no dessert. We won't go back again, not when $60 can buy a delicious meal elsewhere. read more

This was a great experience. From the atmosphere to the drink and the amazing food. We stumbled upon this restaurant while visiting the area for a hockey tournament. We were a party of 8 and everyone of us had a great meal. The carafe if white peach sangria was a crowd pleaser at the table. Appetizers were great. Pictures include the crab cheesecake, fried calamari, cheese platter and a seafood sampler. Dinners were delicious. I tried the Champagne Pear Sacchetti, definitely a must try. Unfortunately we were to full for desert but I would imagine it would be just as good. Service was really good. Wonderful server, she couldn't have been more gracious and accommodating -- that is where our good experience ended. The food was awful. My husband and I have driven by hundreds of times and were so happy to finally try Toscana 52; we were so disappointed. I chose a special Braciole meal. The meat had a really weird texture and the sauce reminded me of the Chef Boyardee lunches I had a a kid. I have eaten there more than a dozen times. The Italian cuisine changes frequently and makes return trips never repetitive. Staff always friendly, polite and very well trained and knowledgeable. Food is exceptional portions generously and menu extensive. Does get very busy at certain times. Reservations at peak times almost a must. Off hours not so much. They don't take reservations under 4 but our party of three was promptly seated in a room just off the main dining area which was a bit more intimate. The staff is very attentive and professional; the type of service that accompanies fine dining. All of our selections including appetizers along with the entrees were very good. I can single out the Tuscan mushrooms and the Chilean sea bass which were outstanding. And our entire meal was served by Anna who was outstanding. Consider yourselves fortunate if she is your server.
