Mood - Grain Alcohol ( Covid19) This review troubles me honestly. I am a serious DIY when it comes to mixing and matching ingredients to create things when it is sparse. That being said, during this Covid19 several of our stores are being deemed non-essential, and while that is occurring, some stores have chose to drag out their last call until there is no other chance. I called and inquired regarding their hours and the alcohol I needed. The phone call was beyond rude. However I just wanted to know if the store was open, as per another Yelper they had just closed down their other locations. So we made the trek to Hendo to get the items needed before I wont have access while we are going thru this. Another employee asked if we needed help, I inquired where their grain alcohol was. She then proceeded to tell me they dont carry a strong enough alcohol content for what I was going to create. I research, and alot of it. I knew the minimum alcohol limits I needed, so we proceeded to just find the bottle ourselves. Can you believe, I actually located the alcohol that I knew I wanted, and would you know it was the within the limits to create. I am giving a 3 stars as the cashier was beyond friendly, and actually apologized for the behavior of the other ladies that we encountered. She is the reason I will entertain this store again when it opens back up. Interior is very clean, social distancing marks clearly present on the floors to ensure safety between patrons and workers. Roshard is the absolute best! He opened the tasting booth just for me and my family. He listened to what we liked and hand picked samples for us to try. We walked out of there with way more than we intended to buy and felt good about it, the mark of a true salesman. So many selections here for any and all alcohol that it's hard to find or decide what to get. The wines are listed by region or name and you can find almost anything from anywhere. I love to get the ice wine and Italian Moscato. There is a huge variety of Stone beer and prices aren't bad either. They have all kinds of snacks and gift bags, gifts, almost anything you can think of alcohol related. They also sell wine skins, awesome for traveling and using to transport wine in a suitcase. Huge selection of wine and spirits (obviously) and the prices are fare enough for the area. All that's fine and good, but my two stars are for the experience and knowledge of the staff. I'm a local and swing through here at least once a week to check for any deals and new arrivals. If all you're looking for is a case of beer or bottle of cheap wine you're probably safe, but if you want actual help finding something special or unique you better keep your expectations relatively low. I've witnessed on multiple occasions staff giving inaccurate or ill informed advice if not outright lies. Most recently, I watched a member give wildly inaccurate advice about a bottom shelf bourbon. Once the customer departed, I asked the staff member why they would misinform the customer. The member replied "I don't really know much about this stuff, I just say what they tell me to say" and she walked off in a hurry. I'm not sure what drives the dishonesty, other than sales or pushing low quality inventory. I know this may seem petty, but the customer experience lasts beyond the in-store transaction. People often buy wine and spirits as gifts or for special occasions. It's just not cool to push cheap swill on unsuspecting customers. At Total Wine & More you will find endless options of alcoholic beverages from exotic flavors to basic, common flavors and brands. I called in specifically looking for Truly's in the Rosè flavor. In California, these are a hot commodity, so when I called in Daniel answered and he was super pleasant and helpful. He offered to put some aside for me to make my shipping experience quick and easy. Garrett the manager working 10/13/2024 at 9am. Refused to sell liquor to my cousin because my 20 year old brother was in the store with me.. I've been in this store multiple times with my family and they never id everyone . There's been times I've come in with people and I never was ID.. maybe because the person I was with looked older.. They said my brother has to be my child to be able to purchase liquor. I tried to show them our ids to prove we're siblings but no they said since it looked like we were in a group we all have to be 21.so next time just lie if you have minors with you. Stopped in to Total Wine on Stephanie St. to restock some of my regular items. Rita was setting up for tasting but took some time to show me how I could use their app to receive discounts. Found out I do t have to put a password in to use it. Yay! She was friendly, knowledgeable, introduced me to a 2020 Cab called Iter I bought it and saved me some money on my Fireball purchase as well. 4 stars because this location likes to change the location of their items frequently and I just want to go the the same location as before and leave especially when there's no tasting. My first time here and me and a few family members walked in, trying to get a few bottles of wine that sounded good. We did walk in with minors, but as store policy says, they have to be accompanied with a parent or legal guardian. Which they were. The manager then proceeds to say he needs paperwork??? Of parental rights and guardianship?? So we go home and get dropped off. And then the men try and go an hour later. The manager says you guys werent allowed in with minors in here. As 3 of his employees helped us throughout our time, whom were kind, but didnt tell us we werent allowed to shop. Well in a comment below he says they are. WITH A PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN. so he proceeds to say "well i cant sell to you now for the next 24 hours per store policy". Keep in mind, there is no store policy stating that on their website, we double checked. It also states IDs are to be checked in the front before entering. But no one was at the door validating IDs for groups for more than 2. I get the whole minor thing but it was how snobby, disgusting, and unprofessional his attitude was towards the situation. We have shopped at this store for years now. While the prices of the wine could tend to be on the higher side than where we usually buy wine from at Trader Joe's, the selection is far more vast and we are likely to find uncommon wines at this store. The service is usually helpful and knowledgeable. They are also good about making suggestions when you tell them your taste preferences. It's very easy to get in and out of the store as it is on the end of the shopping center and there's usually no line. I don't come here very often, maybe once every few months, but it is usually a good experience. For now I am still going back-and-forth between Henderson and Ventura, but that won't be the way for much longer, so I won't be visiting the store that much longer as well. But I definitely recommend total wine and especially this location. read more

THiis is the second wine tasting class I attended. Both were informative and fun. Tonight, Steve led us through pairing of wines with snacks. He explained the qualities of each of the 8 wines and walked us through the flavors before and after each snack. I found 2-3 wines that I never would have tried were excellent. This place totally rocks! TOTAL-ly haha!! BJ is the man - he was very helpful in explaining some wine finishes, recommended a sold-out rose wine for next time, and he teased me about the wine brand Cheap Date. I ended up getting the Chateau St. Michelle Chardonnay (Columbia Valley) that I tasted at the winery - the only Chardonnay that had a buttery finish that I could stand, and a single of Blue Moon's new Pumpkin brew. Not sure why, but I always thought this place only sold wine! Anyways, I was in the area and decided to see what this store had to offer. I usually would get my alcohol needs either at Walmart or Winco, but wanted to check Total Wine out to see how their prices compared to other stores. I have to say, this store was big and offered a great selection of everything from Wine, beer and all sorts of different hard alcohols. They carry cheap brands to more expensive brands. Well known brands that I've heard of and a lot of brands I've never seen or heard of before. Definitely a Wine-lovers store. It probably has more of a selection of wine than any other alcohol store I've been into. I did notice that most of the items they sold were higher in price then I could buy them at other locations, especially the brands I get. I pay several dollars less at Walmart for what I get then here at this store. So, I probably will not be in here again to buy anything unless they're out at my usual stores. I was seeking a Primotivo that I love, yet difficult to find. I was directed to customer service, where I showed a picture of the desired label. Without a one second hesitation, the older woman said she couldn't get it. She did not even attempt to look it up or try. She just knows better. There were a total of 3 primotivos in their stock. We don't drink much, but I developed severe mouth pain. Oragel didn't even touch the pain. I remembered hearing that alcohol could help. Over the last six months, I've emptied bottles of Kahlua, Triple Sec, and numerous other alcoholic beverages. I went online from my iPhone and discovered Total Wine for delivery. I have replaced all of the 30+ year old bottles with an ounce or two. The delivery was prompt and the deliverer brought in the two boxes. I got everything from Sangria to Creme de Cocoa to flavored vodkas. I've also discovered I don't like spiked seltzer's. read more

No real issues with the Henderson Total Wine so I might be a bit harsh with my 3*, especially since I greatly value their curbside pickup during these pandemic times. However, the selection at the Henderson store isn't nearly as good as the LVB/Summerlin storess for the stuff I'm looking for (and the selection seems like it's actually gotten significantly worse during the pandemic). Also, this location consistently takes a couple hours to fulfill my orders. To be fair, the quoted ready time is "within 24 hours" when ordering for curbside on the website - so again, perhaps I'm being overly harsh here. But it's nevertheless a stark contrast to the LVB store where they're literally gotten one of my orders fulfilled in just over 20 minutes. So I'll typically visit one of the other Total Wine branches especially when I'm wanting to drink soon! read more

They also have a large selection of beers and liquors. The store also offers wine accessories, gift bags, stemware, and gifts. If you see a bottle you want to drink soon after you leave take advantage of the wine chiller in front of the store. One of my favorite things about visiting total wine is the samples while you shop. Always willing to please and extremely helpful. My only complaint would be the setup of the store. I feel like we took twice as long as we should just trying to find things. Once example, I think it was either the Crown or the Vodka that the flavored ones were on a separate aisle than the regular flavor, so that threw us off and it just happened to be when the employees were a bit busy so we had to wait for assistance. But the staff was extremely friendly and the store is well stocked and clean. read more

Jessica, was blatantly rude to my girlfriend and I when we were inquiring on price differences between 2 different products. We were confused about it so we were asking questions and Jessica was very snappy confrontational for no apparent reason. She is even an assistant manager of the location!!! Jessica, I'm sorry if you don't enjoy your job, but if that's the case you should pursue a different line of work instead of take it out on shoppers with questions. TOTAL CLASS! Went to a Caymus wine tasting today and the live feed did not work that was supposed to accompany the class. The manager came in and told us himself of the error and gave everyone an opportunity to not only get their money back, but to continue to taste these exquisite wines. Everyone opted to get the money back via gift card...plus an extra 15 percent off all purchases.....WOW! This was our 5th wine class here and I loved my experience, despite the snafu...that was beyond their control. Two ladies stepped up and taught the wine class, with no prep and did a great job. I'll drink to this! Total Wine is still my number one wine and liquor store. Located on the corner of Stephanie and Warm Springs, you can't miss it! Being located next to Sprouts, sometimes the parking lot can get a little packed. The store is always clean. Every so often they will have various samplings of wine or spirits. I'm not a wine connoisseur but they do carry my favorite Moscato. Plus it seems every time I go in their Moscato selection keeps broadening. Some of the other liquor stores in town aren't as organized as Total Wine. I guess that's why I keep coming back here. Their prices are always competitive and usually cheaper than most. Alright! My first review of 2016. And what better place to review than the place that helped me ring in the new year. I stopped in to Total Wine and More a few nights ago to get just a small bottle of champagne for New Years Eve. I celebrated alone so I didn't need a big bottle of bubbly. I was able to find a bottle of Rondel Brut Cava for $2.99. Not bad. It did its job straight from the bottle. Cheers, right? Aside from looking for the champagne for 2016, I looked around and most everything else. As you might gather from the name, this place has a ton of wine to choose from. And more. There are huges selections of beers and whiskeys to the point of being overwhelming. A solid range of tequilas. Piles of mini bottles of pretty much everything. They have a lot of alcohol here. I was disappointed, though, with the varieties of rum on hand. Entire isles dedicated to everything else and just a small number of rums. Maybe I missed the bigger section but I'm pretty sure I walked down every isle there is. I even looked at the signs to let me know what was located where. Regardless of the rum discrimination, Total Wine and More is pretty great for most all of you alcoholic needs. read more
