I stop by Tous Les Jours, a French-Asian bakery, every time I'm in Austin, I try something different each visit but always take a cream puff to go! This time I tried The Milk, for which they had fresh samples laid out and it was delicious!!! The bread is like a cloud and the cream inside is just perfect, not too sweet either! I got a chai latte to go, also will keep buying. Recommend this place to everyone that visits Austin, it is located off of N. Tous Les Jours is a common bakery in Korea and I used to live there, so when I saw there was one here in Austin I was excited because I feel nostalgic about it! They have really good classic pastries - I gave 4/5 stars because they aren't bind bogglingly amazing or anything but they are always soft, fresh, sweet, and really satisfy the baked goods craving. It is easy to buy too many and eat too many for sure so be careful but I particularly love the milk and sweet breads! This particular Tous Les Jours doesn't have a lot of sitting areas but the H mart itself does have a cafeteria area in the middle of the food court where you can sit and eat and listen to kpop/Asian music etc. The service here isn't particularly amazing but the cashiers are always very quick/efficient when they bag. Overall it makes me very happy this place is here, as well as Paris baguette and 85 degree bakery which are other popular chain bakeries. read more

The pastries, cakes, and coffee they sell here are mediocre. Also way too expensive. I'm not paying a premium for a cake just because Hello Kitty's face is on it. The location is fairly convenient because it's located in a shopping center that has a super market as well as multiple other Korean restaurants. So plenty of parking, but you may run into some troubles communicating with people around this area because Korean is their primary language. The interior of Tous Les Jours is super cute, and it's a pity that this place doesn't make a good study spot due to a lack of wi-fi. The desserts are creatively wrapped around the primary walk-in area so that the small store conserves a pretty decent amount of space, and the store is always comfortably warm. The presentation of the desserts are amazing too because of adorable packaging. The bingsu at Tous Les Jours is surprisingly good. I left impressed with the taste, the amount of the bingsu itself, and the generous portions of the red bean toppings. I would recommend this place, but I would definitely push people away from buying the overpriced cakes. read more

Got a coffee with hazelnut syrup, pain au chocolat, chocolate danish, almond croissant, pomegranate ade. The Pom ade was super syrupy and tasted like cough syrup to me. My FIL said their coffee was just okay. The pastries were okay as well. The Christmas chocolate danish wasn't bad and the chocolate wasn't too bad. I love their wide selection of pastries and cakes/desserts. Their chocolate croissant is the best I've tried. The ratio of chocolate to croissant is 1:1; they don't skim on the filling that is for sure! Their iced coffee is mediocre, I've had better. Skip the coffee and stick to the pastries! My boyfriend ordered a strawberry cake from here two years ago for my birthday and it was one of the best I've tried! I love how their cakes come with a plastic knife and candles, perfect for those last minute people or ones who short term memory! There is a fair amount of seating but not a good place to sit for a long time. It tends to get super cold and the seating uncomfortable. While pricier per item, i think it reflects high quality ingredients. Here are some of my favorite items: Sweet potato cream cake slice- $5.50 for a uniquely flavored dessert that's sweetened just enough. Croquettes!!! - $2.50 each. Crispy and warm no matter what time of day you stop by. The kimchi croquette is perfection as the sourness balances the greasiness. Milk bread- $2.75 each. Soft, milky creamy slightly sweet filling. Found this place when exploring N Lamar by bike and was instantly in love. A tastebud fusion experience between korean flavors and french bakery, if you don't find something that makes you drool here, you should probably just surrender your mouth since you are obviously not using it right. I really liked that they had little samples of various baked goods so you can "try before you buy". I ended up with a few baked goodies, the most amazing one being the Kimchi Croquette (omg, sooooo good!). They are very reasonably priced for the quality and if you have questions, don't be afraid to ask as the staff here are very friendly. Will definitely be back bientot though I wish I could come here tous les jours because everything here made my mouth go oh la la! read more

Absolutely loved this coffee shop/bakery!!! Everything looks very appetizing, I couldn't decide what to grab. Since it's fall of course I had to get something pumpkin spiced. I ordered the iced pumpkin spiced latte but they had ran out of the pumpkin spice syrup, so it was replaced with pumpkin spice filling.... ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! No regrets! I have returned to this place, thinking of the good times I was here before. However, it was a mistake! The management was changed and so was the service. We ordered bakery goods, an Americano and an Iced Honey Matcha Latte. It took them 25 minutes to give me my coffee (after I had finished my Guava Danish), and 30 minutes for the latte to be done. I asked the girl to forget about my coffee but she said it was ready. $3.75 for the Americano, with milk - added .50 cent, and the drink was like water and milk mixed. It tasted terrible, and also the latte was not well made like the picture they showed there. We will never come back to this place again! Forget about the "wanting to support small businesses". My son and I circled the interior several times like pilgrims on a food mecca and ogled all the baked goods. Red bean bun, melon bun, ham and cheese pastry, frank (hot dog) pastry, doughnut twist... decisions, decisions. We finally chose a a tuna croquette and a custard bun for our afternoon snack. They were so good we practically inhaled them. Also bought a beautifully decorated mocha cake to take home for my husband's birthday. So glad we did! The cake was very fresh, tasted great and - I don't know any other way to say this - was just "not-too-sweet" enough. It's that quality which makes an Asian dessert perfect for me. This place truly wowed me so much so I was surprised to learn it is a chain restaurant. Wait, don't hold it against them they are running a very good thing here and I personally can't wait till I return. So I tried the Sweet Potato cake and let me say this it was fragrant, delicate and just the right amount of sweetness. My taste buds danced in delight when it entered my mouth. I also tried the Ganache cake and I thought wow this isn't as good as the other cake. But I was WRONG and here is why, the cakes are kept in the refrigerated case. So once I ate half the cake and enjoyed my coffee it had some time to get to room tempt. I noticed at that point that the taste of the chocolate had intensified. I can certainly appreciate some of the bakery items my partner in crime and I have purchased from TLJ. Prepackaged or not the milk bread and blueberry cream cheese bread were delicious, light, and airy. They weren't dense (which is how I prefer most pastries) and it was pretty tempting to go back and buy some more. The curry croquette had a lot of flavor and mouth feel as the curry flavor tasted closer to Japanese style (also my favorite kind of curry) and the outside was a semi-crispy shell. I do think there could have been a little more filling though. The prices are a tad high but then again we weren't trying to purchase for the Brady Bunch or anything. read more

The bakery and selection is amazing. I think the pastries here are just one step above 85 C. The reason for 4/5 is because of the coffee I ordered. It was a iced Lavender White Mocha coffee and it was just way too sweet for me. For reference, I am generally a sweet guy and get a full winter moon from Summer Moon Coffee. Besides the sweetness, the coffee had a nice aroma and flavor. Wasn't harsh or burnt tasting at all. I am sure that their other coffees are spectacular. read more

The best deserts, coffee and customer service by far. I have been going there for a couple of years after my sister brought me some goodies from there. They have a ton of pastries and are still open amidst COVID-19 (you can go inside and select what you want just can't eat inside). My faves are the Green Tea Cream Cake and the spoonable Tiramisu. All I can say is OMG! And I am not a huge fan of Green Tea but it is soooo good. I don't know why I am writing this review because now everyone will go here! My husband ordered a Hello Kitty cake for my birthday but it turned out nothing like the one they advertised on their website. It actually looks worse than home made cakes by some teenager. The taste was mediocre too. It was supposed to be a strawberry cake but there was no fruit at all. I'm so disappointed!!! When we called the store to tell them we got the wrong cake. They associate said he'll have the owner call us back first thing in the morning. But we never received any call back.
