What a great selection of pastry items. I had the blueberry sweet cheese pastry and it was so yummy. The Americano was very good as well and the coffee shop is decorated nicely. The only downfall was the service. This was my first time here and when I mentioned that and asked how selecting your pastry worked, they were not very welcoming and pretty curt. The person at the register also didn't understand English very well. I do prefer a coffee mug in lieu of a paper cup when I'm staying at a coffee shop drinking it and when I asked if they had coffee mugs, she didn't understand but after describing what it is, she finally understood and said only paper. read more

Southeast Michigan has so many "Asian fusion" and serve-yourself pastry joints you trip over one trying to get to another. I've been to most of them, and was somehow shocked to find out there's yet another I haven't heard of or tried yet. I've been here a few times now and have to say it's by far the best I know of. The pastries are spectacular. They're soft, spongy, crispy, and a bit chewy, depending on which type you get, with layered and thorough flavors and textures. They always taste super fresh, and more are brought out throughout the day. Paris Baguette is the closest to this level of quality in the state, and it's a little below what you get here. If you want anything better you'll have to go out East. The cake is pretty good. I've only had their slices, and they vary in quality and taste. Not life changing, but worth getting of one interests you. Chocolate seems to be their specialty. Anything ranging from a chocolate coating to their mochas are unreasonably superb and are highly recommended. The coffee is just sort of mediocre, though. It's the one reason I can't give this place a solid 5/5. Service varies most of all. Some workers (really, one in particular) are incredible, as if they're actively trying to smother you with kindness and attentiveness. That's just as rare as the food quality is and is a joy to experience from those who engage with you this way. Some others are kind, but not skilled, and some are skilled, but not kind. There're also some who lack both traits. Be prepared to ensure your order is right with the ones lacking in skill. The shop itself is pretty decent. It's a little cramped and doesn't have the best pathways but isn't unbelievably bad, even when they're very busy. The area is usually pretty congested, though, and you're bound to be overrun by rude and inconsiderate people in the parking lot, driving violently and blasting music. This is out of the control of Tous Les Jours, but does make dining and sipping a random and not uncommonly unpleasant experience. Absolutely try this place out. I'll start off by saying this place was very busy. We went around 4-5 and it was packed. They had adorable outside seating and cute lights. Inside the bakery was very modern and super cute. There was a section of cases of pastries where you serve yourself- then bring the pastries over to the counter for someone to check them out. The idea was that you put the food out of the case and onto your tray with a pair of tongs. (Yet we say several people just reaching in and grabbing the pastries- YUCK) They had a huge variety of different types of croissants, donuts, pastries, and the likes. The garlic cheese croissant was pretty good and the hazelnut croissant was just ok. The macarons were phenomenal. These were super good! They were fluffy and fresh. I highly recommend the lemon one. The opening of this bakery had to be one of the most anticipated openings in Novi all year long! I love this bakery and have visited its location in Troy, MI but was thrilled to see a closer location to me. The size of this bakery and location is convenient as it is located within Novi town center and next to another great businesses, pure barre and discount tire. The variety of pastries and sweets here will delight you, I tried a pumpkin danish and Portuguese egg tarts, everything was fabulous. The coffee drinks are also a highlight and made well! I love the ambiance here as there is a good amount of indoor and outside seating. The cakes are beautiful - although I haven't tried them yet, the prices and variety are reasonable! They have a mango one that looks divine. I think this is a great place to visit / catch up with friends or even do some work. Just beware as it is a super popular bakery so it probably would be best to come first thing in the am when they open for the best selection (didn't notice all the pastries getting replaced thru out the day, just select ones). I hope this place offers a curbside option or even table side ordering option eventually with a QR code as I've had to stand in line for 20-30 min just to check out so just be aware if you're on a time crunch. read more

There's ample seating inside and outside but because the place was hopping, all of the indoor tables were taken. I think they make everything in-house except for the macrons. Went during opening week and it's very nice. Clean & the ambiance is really aesthetically simple but welcoming. They were really good about keeping the pastries filled, with the workers constantly refilling the empty spots. I got yuzu croissant and ouuu it was exactly what I imagined it to be. Like yuja cha in a bun, so goood! My son got the twisty donut and gobbled it up. It was crowded with the line out the door so I opted not to get a drink since the wait looked a little long. But next time I def will. So far so good & so happy it's here! No need to go all the way to Troy for some Tous Les Jour! What an amazing bakery. This bakery is very bright, clean, welcoming and so fun to visit. There is lots of parking and it is adjacent to other businesses but you can't miss their bright sign. They have an array of sweet and savory pastries. We tried a variety and they were all fresh and tasty. My favorite was the croissants. They were so flaky and buttery. My husband loved the strawberry cake with a mouse filling. It was so airy and light and not super sweet. It was the perfect treat to end our night. They offer different drink options too, but we did not order any as we were just picking up some pastries. Prices vary and do add up when you start to add a bunch of items to your tray. Everything is in display cases that you can select using the tongs and trays they provide. At check out each item is wrapped up individually and placed in a box or a bag for you. Staff is quick to pack up your treats and offer you any recommendations for drinks. It was such a great experience, and we will definitely visit again. read more

WAAAAAY too much cocoa powder.. I ordered a brownie and it was COVERED in cocoa powder to the point that when I took it out the brownie from the package the cocoa powder went everywhere and took me several napkins and another trip for more napkins to clean it up. It went all over my laptop and trying to eat it was even more difficult. Try eating just cocoa powder and nothing else before you get to the food.. that is what it was like. I like the place and aesthetics but the same thing happened when I ordered the tiramisu cold drink. The cocoa powder made it difficult to enjoy the drink..
