The food here is phenomenal. The hotel it's located in is even better. I would highly recommend both.

The ambiance is beautifully done, modern coastal. Perfect for a comfortable but elevated dinner. We started with the bread service, chili wontons, and gem lettuce. The bread service was my favorite, warm, soft, and the miso butter was divine. The chili wontons were also a standout, especially if you enjoy dim sum. They had great flavor and balance. The gem lettuce was fresh and simple, reminiscent of Jon & Vinny's in the best way. For entrees we had the butter shrimp and Scottish salmon, both really good, no complaints. But honestly the appetizers stole the show for me. Would definitely come back just to try more of the starters. Such a good spot.

It was a Saturday night and pretty empty, but we did go on the earlier side. Our server was also really friendly and attentive, definitely a highlight. The food just didn't hit for us. The bread service was disappointing and looked nothing like the photos we saw. Not sure if we got the wrong thing, but it wasn't good. The shrimp toast was decent but super heavy. The Caesar was not great, and no one mentioned it comes with whole anchovies on top. I'm fine with anchovy in the dressing, but the actual pieces were a lot. The chicken karaage was okay, again really heavy, but the sauce was the best part. We also tried the taco special which was just alright, nothing memorable. Overall, the vibe and service were good, but the food didn't live up to it. Probably wouldn't come back.

We probably waited 5-7 minutes before someone acknowledged our presence and came to seat us and check us in for our reservation. Not one server would make eye contact and even going up to the bar to try to get help did not work. When we were finally seated we had to ask for menus once we could catch a server a few minutes later. Some of us ordered drinks and we put in our food orders right away in case our waiter wouldn't come back, since everything had taken so much time already. Our coffees did come but no creamer as discussed, so again we had to flag down a waiter (always took a few attempts) before we could enjoy our coffees. Luckily, our food came out so fast! Our food was in front of us in about 10 minutes from ordering which was insane compared to the rest of the service. Our meals were delicious too! I had the breakfast burrito and did need more salsa for the other half (we had to flag down a server again). My husband gave up waiting for more salsa for his last half of his burrito and just ate it without. My friends had the smoked salmon bagel, avocado toast, and American breakfast. Everyone's meals were honestly fantastic. Finally at the end of our meal, we had to flag down our server to get our check. We ended up just paying with him as soon as he brought the check so we didn't have to wait any longer. The food is worth it but we wouldn't go back intentionally just due to lack of service.

It's located in the old Clock Tower building, and the Art Deco decor is absolutely stunning--dark enough to hide a bad day but vibrant enough for a girls' night. The Vibe: It's loud, lively, and perfectly "bohemian chic". If you're coming on a weekend, prepare for a crowd, but it's the good kind of crowded where everyone looks like they just came from a gallery opening. The Food: I'm still thinking about the Crispy Chicken Sandwich--it was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and came with a fennel-apple slaw that actually felt fresh. We also shared the Bacon Wrapped Dates (obviously) and the Hand Cut Kennebec Fries, which arrive in a bowl so huge it could basically be its own zip code. The Drinks: Their Happy Hour is arguably the best in the city. I had the Japanese Dream with matcha, and it was expertly crafted--not too sweet, which is my biggest pet peeve. The "Misfit" Moment: The service can be a tiny bit slow when it's "rammed," and there's a 4% kitchen fee that feels a bit unnecessary, but they make up for it with those complimentary sea salt chocolate chip cookies at the end. They are warm, gooey, and life-changing. One major heads-up: I heard a rumor they might be closing their doors on April 18th due to some landlord drama, so get there while you still can.

Tasteless except for the pickles. What a struggle. I finally gave up 2/3 through. I realized I was forcing myself to eat it just to have something in my stomach. So then we ordered two so-called French fries. They are hardened little chips. None of the five of us at our table could stand them, and that included my grandson who normally likes crispier fries. He tried cutting 2 or 3 of them with a knife, and couldn't. I could tell my husband was very so-so about his salad. My daughter-in-law liked her Asian noodle salad though. My grandson liked his plain hamburger on a bare bun - how ridiculously basic. My son liked his pasta. At this point, we all decided on no dessert because the batting average was so low. Obviously, not coming back.

Diner Antonette's happy hour alone is incredible (1/2 off beer, wine, cocktails open until 7- even better than their former sister restaurant The Misfit), but the absolute highlight is the fact that you can buy a bottle of wine from their gift shop next door and drink it at the restaurant with no corkage fee. We split a $20 bottle that probably would have been $12-14 per glass elsewhere. Last night I spent $60 total for an appetizer, entree, and my portion of the wine. In this city in 2026 that is totally unheard of. The food was great, too, and staff was friendly and attentive. See you soon!

It's a smaller place but all the outdoor seats were open and I liked the cozy corner seat with a great heat lamp(sometimes at other restaurants they don't work or too far from the table). I decided on the popular oxtail dumplings which were great but could have been a few more of them . I really wanted to leave a glowing review because the kitchen absolutely delivered. That said, the service was incredibly frustrating. I understand it was Valentine's Day, and as someone who also works in the service industry, I tried to be patient and empathetic all night. I know holidays are chaotic. But our server was inattentive, dismissive, and overall made the experience way more annoying than it needed to be. I won't say where we were sitting because I don't want this server to get in trouble. Could've been a bad night for him. But you gotta lock in. At one point, he verballed the dessert options so quickly and with such an irritated tone that we just decided to cancel dessert altogether because he genuinely sounded fed up with us being there. It completely changed the vibe of the night. Ironically, the food runner was the one keeping everything together. He was kind, attentive, and actually seemed to care, so I ended up tipping him cash separately because I wanted to make sure he got something for his effort. I'd still come back for the food, but I really hope the service experience improves because it took away from what could've been a great night.
