It is drastically cheaper than the places near by and the quality is just as good with even better customer service. I had an amazing experience here today. Stuck in San Fran due to weather back home and I had to get some laundry done to hold me over for a few days. There is truly something special about this place and the amazing individuals who own it. Dropped off my clothes this morning and was told by the owner everything would be ready by 3. I arrived to pick up my "paper burrito" just a little before 3 and my clothes were clean, pressed, and folded. The individuals who care for your items take pride in their work and it really shows. I have no complaints and when I'm back in San Fran again I'll definitely be having my laundry done here!!! I can't recommend this place enough. Prices are extremely fair. The price I paid for all of my garments (around 14 pieces) would have been the price of ONE (yes singular) shirt at the hotel I'm staying at. Kim is as good as it gets. I used to be walking distance and I would constantly bring my equestrian competition clothes in. He was extremely careful and meticulous with them. One time I came in with extra items and he told me there were a few that could be easily washed by hand and I should save the money. What?! Seriously the nicest person and my clothes always came out looking better than new. I've moved to a different part of the city but will still drive the distance because of the quality of work. Tower Laundromat is AMAZING! We were on vacay, and needed clean clothes. Instead of wasting time waiting around while we washed our clothes, we dropped off a huge suitcase full of dirty clothes around 9am, went sight seeing and swung by at 1pm to pick everything up all cleaned!! While it may not be a service we regularly use, its definitely worth the splurge... especially while on vacay. read more

I found this place as it was near where I was staying on vacation. Dropped off a bag of clothes and collected 4-5 hours later washed and folded. I much prefer this than a dirty grose laundromat. Kim is an institution. He will know who you are and the status of your items from your first visit. He cares about quality. He's returned items to his processor multiple times and will only give it to you once it's ready. He's honest. He did lose a shirt of mine once, but he offered to pay me back the full cost of a new shirt (and thus was a nice brand $100+ new)!! Read all the other dry cleaners reviews that rage about never wanting to reimburse mistakes. It's a short review, but there's not much to say. Last time I checked, Kim still owned this place. I know Kim because he knows me. Well, more like his old business partner knew me. I think his partner is somehow related to me...I think...But Kim is an awesome guy. I only bring things for him to help me deal with when I can't get it all the way clean. He will take one look at it and tell me what I need to do or what he can do for me. Saves me a lot of headache over trying to wash the stains out of a shirt for hours... He's also smart. Knows a lot of things. Like one time I brought in my JROTC uniform to get it cleaned. He knew I was in it and asked me how it was going. I told him I hate shining my shoes. Pain in the ass to get them as shiny as patent leather. He smiles and starts telling me how to shine a pair of shoes the perfect way with some water, a candle and a can of shoe polish. Needless to say, I still use that technique whenever I can. So you basically got a guy that listens and tries to help you out in any way possible and a guy that knows how to get your clothes clean. I love that while most of my friends say "I take everything to wash and fold except for my Lulu's**", I say the exact opposite. I go to Kim because I know that he will take extra special care of the things I don't like to wash in my dingy coin-operated basement Speed Queen. I also love that even though I rarely stop by (student boyfriend = soooo helpful on the domestic front), I can simply say "I am here to pick up Carl's shirts" and Kim not only knows Carl but can ask how his spring break is going. When does that happen in a city this size? Lastly, I love that I can sleep in on Saturdays and wait to drop off my laundry till 11 am or so, and Kim will still have it done by 4. How does he do it? This place is a lifesaver for both wash & fold and dry cleaning! **For those of you unfamiliar, Lulus = Lululemon workout gear... ridiculously expensive but oh-so-fabulous that you want to take good care of it). read more

I moved to the neighborhood a year ago and over the course of the year Tower has not only done an incredibly fast, reliable, and responsible job when it comes to my clothes (wash & fold and dry cleaning), but also has been a welcome friend in the community. A few weeks ago I was involved in a bike fall just outside of the Laundromat and even though it was only a few bumps / bruises, Kim rushed in to help and even ran to the fire station and grab one of the guys in case I needed medical attention. What I'm trying to say is that in a city full of transplants, Kim and his staff have made me feel like a real part of the neighborhood, in addition to providing amazing service. I'll admit that it's hard to get excited about a wash and fold/dry cleaning place, but these folks do some great work. It's a small, family-owned laundry that has somehow managed to not lose one of each of my pairs of socks. That alone is cause for celebration. They have same day turnaround on wash & fold if you get your clothes in by noon and the prices are reasonable. The owner is very friendly and makes a point to know his customers. Favorite local laundromat. Kim always remembers my name and asks idle questions on what's happening in my life -- the key to keeping local customers engaged and happy. After 10 years I'm still amazed he (and his employees) have such a grasp on their customer's details. After being out of the area for almost a year, I had one of Kim's staff ask how my then ex-wife was (by name) and how she was progressing in her yoga routine. Amazing. It is companies like this that make me want to support the local shops vs go to more convenient, but more impersonal businesses. Drycleaning and wash-and-fold pricing is similar to other local laundromats. He covered each one in aluminum foil so that they would stay together :) I didn't even ask him to. When one did happen to pop off, he spent days looking for it in the lint trap haha. Never have I actually looked forward to going to the dry cleaners before now! Kim is just the best human and is also great at running a business. He remembers everyone's name which just makes it feel like your friendly neighborhood dry cleaners. Prices are also very good for the area, and I recently started taking my laundry here for wash and fold and he always ensures that his staff take extra care with Lulu Lemons and spandex (low or no heat). This is the best wash, dry and fold service I've ever received anywhere in the United States or even in Europe. They took their time, the price was very reasonable, even if it was same day and they did an excellent job. On top of that they were extremely nice and would not even accept a tip. The only issue is you may have to double park but I had no problem doing that at drop off and pick up as they are also very quick. read more

I just got back from using Tower Laundromat's self-serve laundry service. Love it! They are the nicest people EVER! I met Kim this morning on my way to work, and spend over an hour chatting with Alan while waiting for my laundry this evening. $5.25 for one load of laundry (HUGE washer capacity) AND 40 minutes dry time. The hours aren't very convenient for self-serve: 3-6pm M-F only, but fortunately, it works out for me. I will definitely be back! :) read more
