Samanda and her husband are super sweet and welcoming! They remember me by my first name. I've been going here for years because I trust them with my clothes. I've used them for alterations and dry cleaning and they always do it right. Price is reasonable. I usually get my clothes back within 4 days or more. One time I had a garment that was badly stained and I was afraid they couldn't do anything about it but when I got it back, it looked brand new. I dropped my laundry here for about 5 years. Samantha is great. I stopped coming here during covid bc the husband came around and kind of ruined the neighborhood vibe. He's weird and controlling and makes the experience going there uncomfortable. I'd still use them in a pinch if I had to. Service is good but husband is wack. I was quite shocked at first when I paid $18.50 for the wash and fold service- I dropped off a towel and some workout clothes (10 items) to be washed. However they did a great job and my clothes were clean and folded really nicely when they gave it back. Also, I did go around to different shops in the neighborhood to ask for their prices on dry cleaning. This is by far the most average priced at about $7.50 per sweater or pants. I probably won't be coming weekly but once in awhile the price is worth it. read more

The pandemic hasn't been entirely bad. Starting in about March of last year (2020) as a result of the pandemic I started taking my laundry up to Drop & Go. We've continued this for a full year and I'm never going back to doing my own laundry after hauling it up to the laundromat every 2 weeks and spending 3 hours washing and folding 80 lbs. of laundry (no joke, for 2 active people that's what it is). I've gotten to know Samantha the owner and her husband Henry who run the business. They're really nice people and they do a GREAT job. They have a great eye for detail. I use these multi colored bags you can get in Chinatown for literally $3 a piece for my laundry. They hold at least 50 lbs. of laundry and they are built to last. I've had them last 10-15 years. I was being careless hoisting up an extra large load and one of the straps actually broke on my last round. I was planning on simply going back to C town and getting another bag. When I picked up my laundry just now I was astonished to see my strap in tact! Samantha cheerfully told me she fixed it for me, no charge. Who does that? She is very busy, I can see every time I go in and she somehow took the time to fix my laundry bag for me. I couldn't be happier with Drop and Go and I think you would be pleased with the quality and prices if you live in the neighborhood also. We also shifted our dry cleaning to them from a much more expensive place in the Marina (I'll withhold the name as a courtesy) and we are pleased with it as well. I was in town for work, basically working 14 hour days and had to get some laundry done and caught an Uber to drop off some laundry, they didn't check any pockets and basically washed all my clothes with a pen. Ruined everything and then wrapped it up and gave it back like nothing happened get to the hotel open the wrapped laundry to diacover everything destroyed and the kindly placed the pen in the bag. this is after spending basically $70 between ubers and cleaning. Was staying at a premium Nob Hill area hotel and, after a week + in Lake Tahoe and Half Moon Bay, I had a lot of clothing to be laundered. My hotel would have charged $15 per article of clothing and on principle I just couldn't pay that much. So I found Drop & Go and brought my clothes there. I was so surprised at the value - $25 for EVERYTHING - that I tipped. And they did it overnight for me. Everything was properly laundered and neatly folded, nothing shrunk. Samantha is only interested in money, nothing else matters. Yesterday I bought two plant cuttings from her that do not have roots yet. Today I want to exchange those for a potted plant, but she would not take returns. It was her friend who introduced me to this place. Even that won't cut it. I'm writing a review to counter Matt H's review. This is a dry cleaner, not a bank. Not many businesses in the city will give you change if you don't buy anything. It's not right to give businesses 1 star just because they didn't break your $20 bill. I go here for dry cleaning and wash and fold. WF is $1.05/lbs which is pretty reasonable. I never had a problem and the lady is very nice. They even re-attached some buttons and light mending for free. I am glad I found a good cleaner who is close by. read more

This place rocks! I took in a white printed shirt that had sharpie marker stains on it (not one little spot, but several smeared areas in different colors) and they got it white again. I couldn't believe it. They said it took a lot of time, but they only charged me $1.50. This place has a new owner; it used to be Ben's Launderette (which was in the same location). I was a bit worried when I found out it had sold, but now I like the new owner just as much if not more. She really takes the time to do a great job and she cares about her business. She's cleaned the place up quite a bit as well--removed old machines, added an alterations area, and made the drop off/pickup area easier to reach. If you are in the neighborhood, I would suggest you give Drop & Go a visit. read more

The owner double checks for stains, lets me know if she had issues removing any, and will make other attempts to get them removed. I trust her with alterations as well. Worst dry cleaner ever. Samantha the owner and main person on site has absolutely no regard for people's property, nor does she take responsibility for any mistake. My husband brought over 20 shirts to her bi-weekly over a period of a year as well as wash and fold, and progressively the service got worse. First, instead of stapling paper tickets with names/ticket numbers like other dry cleaners, she wrote number sequences with BLACK sharpies on the inside of WHITE, colored silk and linen blouses as well as my husband's suit shirts. When we asked her to stop doing it she said "no problem," but continued to write on our property anyhow. When my husband asked her to discontinue a second time she insisted that it was no problem and the ink would easily come out. We then asked her to remove them in the next cleaning, guess what? They're permanent stains that do not come out. The next time she slips in a shirt into our pick up that she'd insisted had never been brought in during a previous pickup where we'd noticed it missing. What else? She never tells you if something went wrong or if there's an item missing in your order. You literally have to inspect and count your items, at which point you'll for sure find something wrong and once you bring it to her attention, she immediately starts blaming YOU. One of my husband's shirts all of a sudden had a huge red stain that we noticed at pick up that was definitely not there at drop off. When we brought it up, Samantha insisted that my husband spilled red wine on it and she couldn't get it out. Neither of us drink, nor are we stupid enough to forget such an incident. She also burned one of my husband's white shirts on the back and never mentioned it while we were picking it up until we began to inspect our items. When asked she blamed it on us or "wherever we bought it from." It was a brand new shirt... All in all, do not trust her with your garments. We gave her quite a few chances but unfortunately she's a dishonest and callous business owner who's abrasive when caught in a lie. She attached my $300 skirt to the hanger with LARGE SAFETY PINS THROUGH THE SKIRT. For real, guys. She put holes. In my skirt. To attach it to a hanger. And to top it off everything still had cat hair on it, and a couple pieces looked like they hadn't been cleaned at all. I'm always in there getting my pants hemmed, and they do a really great job at matching the original hem for around $10+ depending on how intricate it is. I came here weekly for 2 years... dry cleaning slacks, sweaters, suits and dress shirts, launder & press for dress shirts, and tons of wash & fold laundry. Never lost anything, know who I am, and gave me a bottle of wine during the holidays. The woman who runs the show is the peak of customer service- always friendly, always efficient. They never tried to rip me off, and items were always available when they were promised to be- never in 24 months was an item delayed with some hackneyed excuse. This review is for alterations only - dry cleaning and Laundry have been OK - nothing special, but accomplished what I wanted. I recently brought in a brand new set of curtains to be hemmed to fit my apartment. A coworker recommended I try Drop & Go as she takes all her clothes there to be altered and I live around the cornere. Based on every other experience I've had with alterations businesses I expected to receive my curtains hemmed and pressed, instead they were just hemmed - the hem was not ironed flat and the original creases from the packaging still visible. I expressed my disappointment and the friendly woman behind the counter suggested I send it out to be pressed, they could take out the wrinkles. Reluctantly I agreed to the $18 price for pressing same day ( I had a dinner party planned for that evening and wanted it to look nice for my guests). When I arrived later that evening she handed my the curtains looking EXACTLY the same as they did straight out of the package. When I expressed my shock she simply said "When they press they can't get out the original creases - you have to get it dry cleaned to get it nice" - funny this was never suggested when I originally dropped off the curtains - clearly the extra $$ from a pressing and separate dry cleaning were worth more than honest customer service. Frustrated and annoyed and expressing that I felt taken advantage of she offered no further explanation, offer to re-press or a discounted dry clean, just stared blankly back at me. I paid and left. I will bring my business elsewhere from now on...after I finish hand steaming my 7ft long curtains - all the creases are coming out easily, by the way. After a particularly exhausting weekend out of town, I came back to realize that I didn't have any clean clothes for the week. I dropped off my laundry Monday morning, and picked most of it up that afternoon. I really should dock a star because they didn't launder my work shirts by that afternoon, but they waived the cost when I picked them up the next day. So, if you require same day laundry service, be sure to let them know that you need EVERYTHING done that same day. Otherwise, pretty pretty good. read more

I will NEVER do business with this place again. I took some shorts and ratty, old jeans with holes in them to be cleaned. When I went to pick them up, they were on hangers, and covered with plastic. The woman behind the counter told me it would be $24.50! I asked her how much per pound I was being charged. "Dry cleaning," she said. I told her I did not ask for them to be dry cleaned. She said that if she's not there, "you need to tell the girl you want them wash and fold." Finding it ludicrous, I shook my head and pointed out that they're jeans, and asked, "does anybody get jeans dry cleaned?" She said, "um ... yeah." "Well," I told her, "I don't. These are old pants, they've got holes in them." "I know," she said, "I wash them." I then asked if she was going to charge me for dry cleaning, or just having them cleaned. She told me that she was charging me for the dry cleaning, because she has to "send them out to be cleaned, and that's what [she] paid." She then charged my debit card. She kept insisting that it was my fault the clothes were dry cleaned, because I didn't tell the employee who took the clothes that I only wanted them "wash and fold." I've only ever just dropped off garbage bags filled with clothes, and have never had to specify how the clothes are to be cleaned. And not once have they ever been dry cleaned. She then asked what I said when I brought them in. I said I wanted them cleaned. "Cleaned," she said, "means dry cleaned." "NO, I told her, 'cleaned' means I brought in dirty clothes, and I want them 'cleaned.' 'Dry cleaned' means 'dry cleaned,' and I did NOT ask for these jeans to be dry cleaned." I again told her that it was not my fault, and I should not have to pay for their mistake. She kept interrupting me, kept talking over me, and kept insisting that it was my fault, pointing the finger at me. I told her I wanted to talk to the owner. She said she is the owner. I said that I felt that since she's the owner, and her employee made the mistake, she should pay for it. I then pointed to the pressed slacks and shirt I was wearing, and asked how each of these items are cleaned when I bring them in. She said that she washes the shirts, and that the slacks are "dry cleaned always." I then asked if she would weigh the clothes, and give me a credit of the difference between the cost of dry cleaning the clothes, and wash and fold, to be applied to my next laundry date. She refused. I reminded her that I have been bringing my clothes there/doing business with her for more than three years, and if she refused to work with me on this, I would consider taking my business elsewhere. She said, "I don't care what you do. Whatever you decide to do is your decision." I then told her that if she was going to treat me, a good customer, like this, I would indeed take my business elsewhere, and would also dispute the charges with my bank. She didn't care, and wouldn't budge. I have not ever complained to them about their services in all the time I have been taking my clothes and laundry there to be cleaned. Not even on all the occasions that I was told that my clothes would be ready on a certain date, then be told when picking them up that they would not be ready until the next day, or the day after that (even though they've had my clothes for four days already!), but this, coupled with her attitude toward me, was the last straw. I'm leaving this comment, so that anyone interested will know what you'll be dealing with if you choose to do business with this establishment. read more

I've been going to Drop and Go for the last 9 months since I've been on the hill for all my dry cleaning and laundry. Sadly my apt building is pretty old school and doesn't have a washer/dryer. The owner is very consistent. She always does a great job with my clothes and my dry cleaning. The prices are affordable yet competitive with the other cleaners. She has accommodated me many times when I have needed my clothes rushed and takes the request with no complaints. She has also made a few attempts on tough stains without an extra charge. As long as I am on the hill, I will be very loyal to drop and go! Can't beat a cleaner a block away either. read more

I've been getting my laundry done here since 1995. Never had a problem. Samantha is the owner. She works harder than anyone i know. She is raising her 3 girls and putting them through school. She is very friendly. In response to some bad yelps; you can't put a hole in fabric with a safety pin. Clothing manufacturers use pins to hold seams together all the time. How stupid.
