I bought a clothing washer and dryer and refrigerator. They were delivered and I was told that for a few extra dollars I could get them set up. The installer connected the hose for the water to the refrigerator and left. He did not test it. Turns out he did not install the air filters, the water filter, nor did he install the hose correctly because I never had water. After a dozen calls, another installer finally came out and showed me that the hose had been installed incorrectly. Very poor, shabby performance. read more

Easily he worst experience I ever had with any company. Understanding I ordered during your holiday, but Sholomo was rude and unresponsive. Then I call customer service when the company did open, and the person I had on the phone was completely incompetent. I asked to speak to a manager and I was transfer to Rivkey. She was great. She helped facilitate the order. However when delivered, the 2 guys spoke no English and was in a rush. They did set it up but could not answer any of my questions about the oven. But most importantly, the matching vent hood was not delivered as I was assured it would be. This whole experience was a nightmare. I will never, ever deal with Town Appliance again. read more

Would have given it a -5. Very unorganized with everything. Couldn't pull up my information when I had a service issue and I bought the appliance there. Their extended warranty contracts with New Leaf stinks. Town appliance seems to not have a say so to Anything. Town appliance blames New Leaf, New leaf blames town appliance, the parts are not available to Fix the appliance and they make you wait to get the part and then make the appt for them to fix it 2 weeks later. Last week I ordered a new fridge from Town. I found them online when researching the fridge I wanted. I had a few questions, so emailed them. Moshe, my contact in Lakewood, NJ, was responsive to my questions, & I called to place the order. Other than a computer gliltch on their end in approving my payment, the rest of the transaction was flawless, including the delivery. They notify you a day in advance of the delivery & again twice on the day of delivery, and you have to confirm. The two delivery guys were like ninjas - really fast. They brought my fridge up on the elevator & quickly removed my old one, which was really bulky - at a cost of $15. Most companies charge $30-$40. The whole process took no longer than 10 minutes. Despite unpacking the new fridge in their truck & then bringing it up, it appears to be in perfect condition. If I have a need for any appliances in the future, which I hope I don't, I would definitely consider this company. read more

Very bad delivery service. They came, did not install the new machine or take away the old machine. They did not explain in understandable English why they couldn't do the job. The left the new machine in the middle of our garage blocking the garage. They said they cannot come back to move the new washer to unblock the garage until Monday (it is Friday). read more

My wife and I recently visited Town Appliance after they were recommended by friends. Our first visit, on a Sunday, was very good and we received quite a bit of information from the salesman, Mordecai. He took time to show us many models, answered many questions and printed out a large amount of information on the models we were looking at. I called on Monday or Tuesday to ask a question and he left me a message indicating that the particular model was not available (we had seen the model in two other stores). Lacking a definitive answer I decided to go back into the showroom on Thursday. I have no good answer as to why the next course of action took place. I walked into the showroom - there were no customers present but numerous salespeople. I saw Mordecai at his desk, speaking with an associate and he seemed to acknowledge my presence. Then he and the other associate proceeded to carry on a conversation for almost 10 minutes, totally ignoring me. To make matters worse, no one else deemed it necessary to approach me and ask how they might be of service. After waiting far too long I just turned and walked out. Mordecai never called to follow up on our interest. I am trying not to make this an "us vs them" situation but I do know that Town Appliance lost a sale on a LG Washer and Dryer set. The one star rating is given because they are doing a great job in their remodeling effort, nothing else. read more

Good sales staff but AWFUL delivery service. They delivered my refrigerator and did not set up. Refrigerator rolls, doors not aligned, water dispenser and ice machine not working (even though I paid additional fee for this set up). Town Appliance website states they have a repair subsidiary, but I am told I live too far for their repair team to set up my refrigerator. Town Appliance suggested that I contact the the manufacturer and use my warranty to remedy the problem they created. read more

I've been a loyal customer for over 10 years, having bought 2 entirely new kitchens and numerous other appliances with them. My family has bought from them, and I have recommended them to many friends. This is why it was so disappointing to have dealt with them recently about my severely scratched, brand new floor, as done by their delivery service when delivering my appliances. Apparently, you need to video them bringing things into the house, or they won't believe your claim. I almost had to REPLACE my new wood floors because the damage was so severe. The repair cost over $1000. After dealing with them for months, I finally settled, and accepted 50% restitution payment. They could not care less about how much money I have spent with them, or sent their way over the years. I had to prove myself and my story over and over because it became a he said/she said with the delivery service, whom they no longer use now. Isn't that proof enough?? Very disappointing. My contractor asked me a few days ago if I would buy from Town Appliance again, and I said no. Their prices are great, but they can be used as leverage to other places. I'm a loyal person, but once you cross me, forget it. Town Appliance really screwed up by screwing me! I will never recommend them again, and I will relay this experience instead. Purchased a new kitchen and standing freezers for the basement from town appliance. Pricing was better than most but they gave me free delivery which made up any difference. The fridge and freezer didnt fit through the door frame so the team called in a installer who removed the doors, and carefully reinstalled without a scratch or a dent, pretty impressive. I delt with Yocheved who was on top of my order from start to finish, made recommendations based on use and what had rebates and deals and felt great to have someone in sales working to find you a deal. Not only was my business going to a smaller company but also to a business that understands jewish kitchens and the need for appliances with shabbos mode - they even took the time to explain and walk me through the setting process. They were both extremely helpful in answering any of my questions regarding the product I was purchasing, arranging the delivery, and assisting me with the rebate which was offered on the dishwasher I purchased. I bought a stackable w/d from them, and had a few problems. First, the initial installation was done incorrectly. The hoses were kinked and we didn't get hot water. Second, the brand we bought was defective. The salesperson convinced me to buy this brand over another one because of their better repair service. But when we actually tried to get service, it was a nightmare. My efforts to get Town to help me get the required service were fruitless. Not entire their fault, since they don't provide repairs; but at a minimum the advice about service was wrong. read more

i purchased a maytag washing machine and dryer from town appliance. I heard they had the best prices around. The day I received the machine. It was broken. neither the washer or dryer was working. I must have called the company about 30 times. every time I spoke to someone they gave me a fake name. This went on for 6 weeks. I have never felt so cheated. I will never use them again. Its now 5 months later and I'm still left with a broken machine. the machine cost me in total $1,800. I hope people read this and be careful before buying anything from town appliance again. i don't know why i gave 1 star i should give none. they did for me and stole my money. read more

My landlord ordered a new fridge for our apartment from Town Appliance a few days ago. They said it would be delivered on Tuesday, June 1, 2016. We all watched as they took it out of the truck. It arrived around noon, completely broken shelving inside when they took it out of said truck. They took back the fridge and said another one would be arriving tomorrow around noon again. Well, guess what? It's the next day, June 2, and they unloaded the fridge and opened it before bringing it inside the house. They opened it up to inspect it, and the fridge was delivered COMPLETELY BROKEN, AGAIN. We are livid beyond belief. To add insult to injury, they said another one "cannot be delivered by the end of today, because of the route". So, this place sends us TWO broken refrigerators before they even get off the truck, tell us it's not "their fault or problem", and then refuses to get us another one "because reasons". I have now been fridge-less since Tuesday, May 31, 2016 thanks to this business. What an utter embarrassment and disappointment. Most unprofessional business I have dealt with, so far. read more
