I made an appointment for 9am to get 4 new tires. I was told that it takes an hour and a half to get everything done, including an alignment. It has been almost 3 hours and my car still doesn't have rear tires on it. It took over 2 hours just to get my car into the bay. This is unacceptable. read more

From NTB, to Mavis for our early pandemic complete switcheroo of four tires due to their worn nature, and then Town Fair Tires in 2023. A flat tire took us to Town Fair Tires on Needham St., which was deemed fixable due to the pin's location in a groove by the middle of the tire. According to their website they offer: LIFETIME FLAT TIRE REPAIR Our Tire Or Not! On Any Car You Own. This service is done free of charge. While service was friendly with a smile, and it took less than the estimated 45 min early on a Saturday, it wasn't quite 100% free. As it was our first visit since the business had been taken over in 2023, we ended up paying $13 and change for a charge, which he told us we wouldn't be subject to in the future. Unfortunately, he told us they wouldn't be able to honor the extended Warranty by Thred Depth that we had paid Mavis for ($12 each for 4 tires, then later $13 for the replacement), as our tires were still in pretty good shape since we've been driving so much less these days. No surprise, just a disappointment. There is, however, a Mavis still around in Dedham, should we have need of the warranty for a replacement in the meantime. read more

few days ago my 2013 Toyota Sienna needed to fix one tire, that had slowly leaking air and I had to pump some air every 2 weeks. Technician at Neton branch (Rogelio) advised me to replace all four tires, because they had too small tread to be fixed. I agreed with his expert opinion and asked for the most budget tires. He offered to install Green Max 235/60R1 for the price $200 per each tire. It was too expensive and i was going to leave, then he gave me discount: $120 per tire, plus alignment, balancing, and other fee. Total materials with labor $818 (free rotation and tire hazard insurance for $86 included). He made for me appointment for the next day at 3:30 pm. Technician Jovanny started to work with my mini-van exactly on time and completed the job in about 2.5 hours. Staff was very friendly and I will go to Town Fair Tire again. read more

Went there yesterday 6/6/25 to have tires that I had purchased there rotated. I had bought the tires in 2022 before the new owners took over. I arrived at my appointment time which was 3:30, so now you guys know exactly who I am. When I walked in there was a short woman behind the counter talking to a customer and a man on the computer next to her. Neither one looked at me or even acknowledged that I was standing there. I think the least that the woman could have said was "I'll be with you" but nothing was said. I felt totally disrespected like I wasn't even standing there. When she finally finished with the customer, she looked at me and said "I'll be right back" to which I said under my breath "here we go" and guess what...she walked to the back where the work bays are and never came back. Now it's 3:45, the man at the computer finally said "can I help you?" and I told him about my appointment at 3:30. He took my key fob and went out to my car and brought it to the back. After 1 hour at 4:30 I walked to the back and saw that someone was working on the car and I asked if there was a problem because he was at the front left tire and looked like he was having a problem with one of the lug nuts to which he replied "no problem" I walked to the front and waited for another 20 minutes and walked to the back again where I see the guy that was working on my car talking to someone at the opposite side of the building and that someone was not a worker. How long he was not working on my car I don't know but there was no sense of urgency at all to complete the job. I went to the front and waited some more. I believe that when I first came in and the short woman behind the counter heard me say which I thought was under my breath "here we go", she went to the back and told whomever was going to be working on my car to take their sweet time. After 15 minutes I went to the back again and asked the guy if my car will be finished today and the guy said it's finished. Then some idiot tells me that I shouldn't be there, I was standing outside of the garage and told him to make me move and he proceeded to close all of the bay doors like the idiot he was. Unbelievable! I walk to the front and wait again. After 10 minutes I ask the woman where my car is and she tells me that it's either in the back of the building or the side and I tell her "thanks for letting me know". I walk to the side of the building and see my car, I get in and what do you know, the battery is completely DEAD! All I hear is that clicking noise. The battery is under 1 year old and haven't had a problem with it before now....I wonder how that happened? Did they do something to kill the battery? DUH! Well, by the time I walk to the front and tell them that the battery is dead it was 25 more minutes before they finally jump start the car. I asked the man at the counter for the manager and he points to the short woman who was speaking on the phone! I just walked out. I have never felt so disrespected at a store before. If this woman is a manager then they should train her, demote her or hire a manager that actually gives a damn. Everyone that I spoke to there couldn't have cared less about the time that I spent there. Needless to say, I will never step foot inside that shop again and I will spread the word to everyone that I know about that place. I suggest that they hire people that actually give a damn about their jobs. read more

I could have died when I got into my car Saturday morning to head to a wedding in Newport when I saw a 'low tire pressure' warning when I got into my car. Had a nail in the tire... It was Saturday and all the places I called either didn't answer or said they're fully booked. I get it - it was Saturday when ppl have the time to buy tires. I drove into this TFT and they said also said they're fully booked and I could leave the car but don't know when the car would be ready. I asked for their recommendation as to where I could go and explained I needed the tire repaired ASAP to get to the wedding. Peter asked to check my tire then asked Jake to take my car right away and repair the leak. TFT gave phenomenal customer service and repaired and balanced the tire quickly. I couldn't have been happier as Peter and Jake took care of my emergency on a day when I really didn't have time and was already stressed. read more

Facts: purchased new tires and four-wheel alignment, called ahead, all was good... Pros: nice people Cons: Bait and switch! After the tires were installed, my credit card was charged, they casually mentioned, "By the way, we couldn't perform the alignment because our alignment guy is sick". Perhaps that should have been mentioned earlier?! Note: purchasing tires without an alignment is like buying a beer without a cup (and my car seriously needed an alignment). OK, the next day, I tried to reschedule the alignment ... the alignment service was no longer offered... OK, perhaps another affiliate shop... sorry, none of them have alignment service (so they said... not sure about this one)!? So, now I have to take time off from work (again), go back to the shop, get a refund for the alignment they charged me for but never performed, then find an alignment shop (and take more time off from work). Had I known, I most certainly would have gone elsewhere. Serious waste of time! How can you sell tires without performing alignments?! Why wasn't this mentioned on the phone or when I requested the service? DISHONEST! read more

I went to Town Fair Tires on Needham Street in Newton recently because I was having some vibration when driving on the highway. The reason I chose to go there was because about 6 months ago, I scraped a curb and peeled a tiny area off a front tire. I was worried about safety and Googled the closest place to where ai was, and that was it. when I stopped in, a very friendly guy helped me, looked at the tire and said that this was just a cosmetic scrape and the tire was fine. I loved that honesty and decided I'd go back when I needed tire work or replacement the next time! Anyway, they were all extremely helpful, efficient, and pleasant. I needed two tires replaced, and now my 14 year old car feels good again driving down the highway! read more

I came In to buy 4 new tires for my 2024 Tundra. Upon entering the garage, the tech shamelessly admited that he scratched the bumper slightly. The truck is long, I totally understand. He imediately apologized and began to make the situation better. His team and managers made it MORE than alright and I feel very well treated. Careless, terrible service. I purchased tires there they stripped a stud and I had to pay $100 to have the stud replaced at a mechanic. I brought the car back for rotation, and I noticed two months later when I went to put air in the tires that a lug nut was missing from two separate wheels. I called the business and ask them if they could help me and the system manager said come today or tomorrow before 3 o'clock, and either the manager or the assistant manager would take a look. I drove there went out of my way, and neither of them were present at approximately 1:30 in the afternoon. Person at the desk called them and then I was told there's nothing they could do for me because it was beyond two months since service. Really horrible treatment. They also said something ridiculous that it was safe to drive around with just four lug nuts, but the car was engineered for five lug nuts per wheel for a reason. I needed 3 tires and went to Town Fair Tire for a quote, Jake, the assistant manager was very helpful and gave me a quote for the tires. Although I got less expensive quotes for the tires elsewhere, by the time they added on balancing, alignment, etc. the quotes were all higher. I went back to Jake who then beat the tire price I had received at the other tire stores and when all was said and done the installation of the 3 ties was substantially lower and with the included warranties, lifetime flat repair, and lifetime rotation, and other free services it was a no brainer. Jake and his staff were all extremely helpful and were right on the button in terms of how long the process would take. read more
