I bought my car from Pre-Owned Town North Mazda on November 23, 2013. There was a light sensor blinking when I purchased the car and my salesperson assured me it was a light out and they would have it fixed while I filled out the paperwork. It was not. I came back the next day and waited for 3 hours for a light to be fixed. It was not. And my battery was drained by the time I left. The shady mechanics that Town North Mazda uses also run a limo service out of the same building. Seems pretty legit, right? I bring my car back on Black Friday only to have the shady mechanics decide they were going to take the day off. I returned 2 more times because they deducted that it wasn't a light but the sensor just needed to be reset. After another 3 hour wait, I was FINALLY told they did not have the machine to reset the sensor. They made me an appointment at the VW dealership. By now it is Christmas. VW informed Mazda that my head lamp assembly was broken. The car won't pass inspection if this isn't fixed. And it is quite interesting that the car has an inspection sticker now (insert shady mechanics). It's an $800 job. Of course Mazda won't pay for it. So they ordered the part and assured me that they could fix it. I brought my car in today. I was supposed to be given a loaner car. What I received was one of the shady mechanics car, with less than 1/4 tank, no heat and check engine light on. I got my keys and got out of there. I have been beyond patient and understanding and now I am at my end. I have left messages and emailed them and waiting for a reply on what Town North will do to fix this. I am not confidant that they can. So let VW do it. I would think twice about buying a Pre-Owned car from them. read more

As a first time car buyer I found the process exterimly easy. This is a place you can potentially get an exceptional deal. Edward was very helpful on elaborating the subjects I had questions and concerns about. You will not regret having him as your salesman. Would defenetly recommend this dealership, but would also strongly warn you about their sales manager in their finance office. She is there to sell you things that you will not need. Do not pay her a penny more than the negotiated price in car plus taxes and regulatory fees. All the services she will offer you, you can buy later (of course her job is to never tell you that!). I decided I wanted to look at a Mazda 3 after a week of scouring lots and Internet ads for a new car. As I approached the door, Blake opened the door for me which was a small but nice touch. I told him I wanted to look at the Mazda 3 and he immediately showed me the model in doors. He explained some features and benefits and why Mazda makes a reliable but fun car to drive. He was able to narrow down a model I like very quickly and during the test drive, he let me experience the car by explaining things as I found them and by guiding me to get the most out of the drive. Blake was never pushy. He never spouted typical sales phrases at me. He talked to me like a human being and educated me on the potential purchase. At the end of the drive, I knew I loved the car and felt confident I was making a good decision based. Blake let the car sell itself and just let me discover it. After a week of shopping, he was the only sales guy I spoke with who I liked. He did an amazing job helping me get a deal within my price range and I walked out with a new car. The finance guy, Craig, was also magnificent. He didn't play hardball or try to make things difficult. He told me what he could do for me, and very clearly explained ways he could help me out. I had a great experience at this place, the first time I bought I car there me and my husband were only looking at cars we did not intended to buy one that day. As we were looking a very friendly gentleman offer to show us around. Samuel was very patient with us and let us test drive several cars. At the end I fell in love with a Cx5 which was a little bit out of budget for us, but they were great about figuring out all the numbers and being flexible to work it out.Two years have passed and we bought another car from Samuel who has been really friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. I went into the dealership for a replacement key to my car and ended up walking out with a 2015 Mazda CX5. This was the best car buying experience I've ever had. I was just looking around the show room while waiting on my key and Richard, our sales guy, asked if he could help us but I was just looking while waiting. Bought my CX5 in June... Finally got the radio situation resolved. Just be careful of what you ask for and what is promised. Wanted XM without a sunroof (wake up Mazda, this should be an option)... Unable to add a factory XM to use the existing screen, even though it was offered. Come to find out, option available on 2015, but not 2016. Alex stuck with me and we finally got an external XM mounted where I wanted. It took a while (5 months) and I didn't get anything extra for my trouble (not even a cargo cover--- cheap!) but finally I have my sat radio. read more

Our experience with this dealership was horrible. They insisted they had the lowest price on a vehicle and even tried to stop us from doing comparison shopping at another dealerships by lying about extra charges and service fees. The salesman claimed he's a "nice guy" but implied that we couldn't afford the vehicle we wanted, and said with a disdainful attitude that we were "buying too much car for your [our] budget," which is incredibly offensive. However, we only asked for $100-200 off the vehicle so that we could both be satisfied with each other's business. We don't think this is an unreasonable request. The manager even further lectured us with a patronizing attitude saying he's never seen people negotiate like this. So we walked out and they chased us back with an offer to talk about the price. However, once we were back the manager humiliated us with his awful attitude. It was really a really uncomfortable shopping experience. We would not recommend anyone work with such a disrespectful and patronizing dealership. Edit: First, I received a reply from the manager on google review of the dealership with my name spelled wrong, something that apparently shows how careless and unconcerned this place is when dealing with customers. His response indicated and criticized that we negotiated and compared prices, which is absolutely normal if you are going to spend $30,000. I have abundant car purchasing experience for myself, my family, and my friends. I have never seen a salesperson or manager criticize a customer for comparing or negotiating price with such a bad attitude. While we were trying to go to other dealerships to compare prices, they attacked the other dealership by saying that they would up-charge us with other hidden fees and even ran out of the door to our car to tell us the other dealership doesn't have the model we wanted, which was a total lie since we just saw it right at the other dealership. After we came back to work on price with Town North, we politely attempted to establish the customer-seller relationship by deducting $200 without any accessories asked in our price. The manager rudely refused, so we walked away again without any hesitation. The manager replied to our review on google saying that as we started to leave, "his salesman asked if it's okay if he pass his pay of $100 to us so that he can take care of you [us]." This is completely a lie, as his salesman again ran out to our car to offer us his $100 commission. All of this process and voices were clearly recorded by my dash cam, however this manager is misleading and dishonest on google reply. We never asked the salesman to take off his commission or pay for us. He offered this by himself. So, finally we walked in the last time and asked for $200 off and once again, the manager patronizingly and disdainfully dismissed us. All of the above is true, we are more than happy to provide our dash cam recording to prove this manager's dishonesty. We would like to warn everybody of this dishonest dealership and disrespectful attitude towards customers. read more

Ever since I got in touch with Sales Team, they were really helpful in picking out a vehicle and meeting my needs. This was an excellent experience from start to finish. Even going through Finance Department was a breeze and pleasurable without all the hassle associated with dealership meetings. I still return to Town North Mazda to this day and this is where I go to get our vehicles maintained and inspected -- they help me keep our cars in great conditions. I purchased a new car from them in July 2012. At 3500 miles my car was pulling to the right. Took into service department as the right front tire was balding. They claimed this was normal for a Mazda 3. Bald tires at 3500 miles? They checked into the pulling problem and also said that is normal. At 7000 miles I take it back for the same pulling issue and service department states all is normal again. My wife picks up the car and calls me saying the car smells like it is burning. I called the service department and had it towed back in for a burned out clutch, which was not having problems when I took it in. Service Manager states they did not have anything to do with the clutch burning up (of course). I have called GM 3 times and no answer, I have called Mazda USA and no answer. This is rediculous. In 7000 miles I have a bald tire, pulls to right and now a burned up clutch - GO MAZDA! read more

Crap of a dealership. Guys would lie to the core to get rid of their cars. I bought a civic (with their as-is nonsense). I was running out of the town and I asked them 10 million times if I can trust their word that the car is well maintained and no issues specially with the tires. They said none and the car is just out of their work shop with they finding everything fine. Guess what, 7 months down the line, I had to change all the tires and I called them to see if they can help with whatever they can and they said, "You should have checked when you bought it". So, if you want to buy something there, go get it checked because they cant speak a word of truth. Luckily, mechanically my car is good and am still happy with it, its just their frikking lies that got me!!! read more

The Town North Mazda Service Department is a nightmare. When my wife took her car in to have the headlight bulb replaced she was told the housing was cracked and would not hold the new bulb and the entire headlight assembly needed to be replaced. This was a total lie. How do I know it's a lie? Unbeknownst to them I had photographed the housing and assembly before my wife took it in, just in case they tried something like this. Why would I do that? This is not the first time I have had a dealership service dept. blatantly lie about a simple repair to extend their profit. I have had several experiences with other dealership's service departments saying things that were just not true. Once it got as far as lawyers but was resolved with out a suit. Two other incidences were resolved in my favor before reaching that stage. However I have not always been in a position to prove the crime with other nefarious service departments and had to eat it. This is what they count on. So unless you know exactly what is involved, be wary of these guys. The positives were I was prepared and instructed my wife to drive away as fast as possible so the only loss was time and now I know that Town North Mazda Service Department is one of those operations that doesn't limit themselves to the truth to make a buck off a little old lady that would not know any better. That should be the alternate definition for GROSS PROFIT. read more

I recently went in to buy a new car. A friend had bought the same model one month before and I wanted to pay the same price. The salesman, Terry McElroy was very helpful and made the sale go very smooth. He agreed on the price and sent me to finance. The financing went smoothly as well. They were able to give me in house financing at a percentage rate that was .5% lower than the one Wells Fargo quoted me. All in all, no pressure, and the transaction was very fast. I bought a car there a decade ago, and the same service manager is still there. Her name is Penny, and she has always been very friendly and knowledgeable. I don't even know where to begin! The moment I stepped in the door to the moment I left I felt like family. Ash, salesperson was so knowledgeable and kind! He knew everything about the car I was purchasing it's as if he built the thing himself! This Mazda dealership was the only one that the general manager came out to greet me. The Denton Mazda and the Eldorado McKinney Mazda didn't even glance my way. I wrote how awful my experience was at Eldorado Mazda and accidentally posted it to Town North page! I realized that and took it off five minutes later and reassigned. Something must've clicked with the general manager because he looked over at my boyfriend after I told him about my experience at Eldorado McKinney mazda and he said "wait..are you Hayden W.??!" He actually saw our post while he was off eating dinner at home and within minutes he couldn't access it and that just shows that they are so attentive to their customers on and off hours. Alex general manager made me feel like I was the only guest at the dealership! He made sure I was comfortable with all the information I was taking in (I'm a first time buyer), answered all of my questions, and just went above and beyond! I hate this dealership!!!! I just got a flat, so i've been driving around my spare. I call them to ask if they have my tires in stock. They ask me what size my tires are. Uhh...I don't know! He says its written on my tire. Unfortunately, I am not near my car at this time. I tell the guy, Carey, I bought my car there. I also service my car there. These are stock tires that I bought my car with. I tell him the exact model and year. How can they not tell me what size my tires are? He says he's been working there for 30 years and its easiest to find out by looking at the tires. I'm not asking for easy, I'm asking them to freaking find it. I'm getting frustrated. I ask how they don't have standard stock information on cars, so he tells me he's on Mazda's website but the information isn't there. I tell him that Costco was able to look up my size within a minute, but they didn't carry my tire in stock. He tells me they must be guessing! Ok, right. I thank him for his "help" and hang up. I check my tire size (P215/70R17 in case you're wondering) and go back to Costco. I order the tires and make sure they're the right size. The awesome guy at Costco says its the only size for my model unless I have the sport or taurine. Screw you Town North Mazda! Costco is more efficient, more helpful and cheaper. read more

Horrible experience....as I search for a Mazda, I felt I was in shark infested waters at this dealer--I walked in to go right to the service desk to inquire who they would recommend for ME (I said NO aggressive, pushy, millennial or attitude sales guy) after I told them I was just aggressively approached by the sales guy in the 1st office, I was given a business card to call later as this particular sales rep was not in at the time--as I'm walking out, I hear a guy yell 'hey, I hear you are...blah, blah, etc. , I kept walking faster, couldn't' wait to leave, jumped in my vehicle & this black sales guy (Myron) had the NERVE to literally continue to follow me out & aggressively, desperately tap on my window & try AGAIN to talk to me, OMG, really....I looked at him & said 'what do you want', I'm good, I'm leaving....OMG, I just was in shock the experience I had at this particular Mazda dealership, I will be taking my business elsewhere for my New Mazda test ride/purchase. read more

I recently went there for service, and am now disappointed and am still experiencing the same issue after paying $1,000 to get it fixed. I am not a car mechanic, so I trusted their expertise - especially considering I bought my car there! A diagnosis was made, I paid for it, and now I still have the same problem, and the rep has not called me back, you would think that after calling and talking to his colleague SOMEONE would've called me back. On top of that, today I checked my credit card statement and the rental they supposed took care of because they didn't have the needed part so I had to leave my car overnight, was actually charged to my card. I was loyal because I bought my car there, and am very aware that I will need to buy another car in the very near future. Since I can no longer trust what they say - whether it is fixing my car or even covering the rental - this dealer is definitely not an option! read more

I got my new Mazda CX-5 from Town North Mazda a little over a week ago and I love it. It is has everything we wanted and at a great price. This was honestly the greatest car buying experience I've ever had. No one was standing outside the doors prowling or waiting for me when I got out of my car to rush at me (which makes me uncomfortable). I had the opportunity to look around and see what I liked first and then ask for help. They were considerate, polite, and very honest (rare experience for me); even considering that I shop around for the best deal to get exactly what I want. I felt like it was about me and not just the dealer trying to get a commission out of a sale. I test drove the CX-5, played with all the buttons and features, and asked tons of questions. My dealer (Blake) went above and beyond to make this car buying experience smooth and carefree.
