High quality food at a super reasonable price and with excellent service! They have two sides to the restaurant. You can get table or bar service on one and counter service on the other. One of the worst experiences I've had at a restaurant -- hands down. I placed a to-go order at TownHall expecting a smooth pickup, but after waiting around far too long, I was told they had already given my food away to someone else. No accountability, no effort to remake it quickly, and absolutely no apology. Just blank stares and a "not our problem" attitude. To make matters worse, the staff were incredibly rude throughout the process. When I asked what could be done to fix the situation, I was met with eye rolls and passive-aggressive comments, as if I was the one inconveniencing them. It's wild to me that a place with this kind of reputation treats people like they're disposable. I came here hoping for good service and decent food, but left with nothing but frustration and wasted time. There are too many great restaurants in Ohio City to deal with this kind of disrespect. I love it here and always try to make a trip here whenever I am in the area. We were in town for brunch this time. It was busy but the wait was rather short. This place is huge! This is the most reviewed restaurant in town, and was billed as the most innovative restaurant in the entire country by USA Today. Let's see why. The entire food menu is completely non-gmo, they cook with only sesame, avocado and coconut oils, and have a wide range of vegan, vegan friendly, keto and paleo options. Their smoothies, juices and coffees are 100% organic. The interior is really cool with great old fashioned lighting and remains breezy since they have double wide roll up doors at both the store front and the back, which are the west and east sides of the building. The back patio has a lot of tables with umbrellas. Inside, their playlist on the day I visited was upbeat 80s, 90s and current music. As far as liquor, their all-american craft beers are $5, they also have a selection of cocktails (made with organic non gmo ingredients when possible), organic wines, seltzer, hard teas, and even 2 non alcoholic cocktails. As far as food, an entire page is devoted to bone broth, billed as nature's functional medicine. Also, they have an entire sushi menu with low mercury, wild caught seafood. Their regular menu has apps, bowls, sandwiches, flatbread, and 3 dinner entrees (a beef, chicken and a fish dish). For my lunch, I ordered the yellowtail sashimi, a nashville hot chicken sandwich with truffle fries, and a drink called Say Less.. Sushi - cut completely wrong, but not complaining too much since the pieces were huge!! I'm talking about a 3 bite sashimi, which was awesome and the temperature was great. This dish also comes with a small cucumber salad. I wish the salad had a dash of sesame oil to bring it to life. Hot chicken sandwich - stands tall in the plate. Spice is not over powering. Bun is like a challah with poppyseed on the bottom...I ended up removing half of my bun, but overall a very good version of a nashville chicken sandwich. This is such a great spot if you have dietary restrictions. I love how they can accommodate so many dietary needs including vegan, gluten, and dairy free. The changing draft beer list is always fun to explore and the service is always amazing! We've yet to have a bad experience here. Even when it's super packed and busy, service and food are always amazing. Located in the heart of Ohio City, parking isn't too hard to find behind the building. Always crowded inside and good bar atmosphere. Food is alright. Portions are a bit too small for the price, and one meal here will easily cost you $20+. Had the poke bowl and the cheeseburger. Wish we got the nachos, since those portions looked pretty big. The lavender lemonade was recommended to us by the waitress, but it was a bit small as well and mostly full of ice/lavender (not much liquid). Waited quite a while for our food. Kudos to the waiter since it was so busy, but definitely not the place I would go to again for a solid meal. Come here for a night out with friends, coworkers, or a drink. read more

Food is always top tier. One of my favorite burgers around. Steak Bites were very good and the flavor profile was perfect with the grilled pineapple. The size of the app was generous and could easily be a meal. Tasted a few options from the new Spring drink menu and the Light my Fire was my favorite. The ginger in the drink is very present and flavorful. - Finished off with the skillet cookie, which is served hot with a dollop of vanilla bean ice cream, honestly so delicious. Townhall is a very popular restaurant with a lot of options. They offer a lot of vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free options and more. The food is always fresh and always seasoned well. Be prepared to pay more here than you would at other restaurants, but it is worth it in my opinion. The bartenders are great and their drinks are good, you can sample some beer as well which I love. The servers were fast and efficient and very friendly. This place does get very busy so get there early or be prepared to wait. If you do sit inside, it is very loud, but I love it here. read more

I'm writing this review to express my strong disappointment with the experience I had at Townhall Bar and Restaurant. From the outset, the service was unwelcoming and extremely slow. Despite many visible open tables, we were told there was no availability, and others who arrived after us appeared to be seated with no delay. What's even more troubling is that this didn't feel like a simple oversight or understaffing issue--it felt discriminatory. The behavior of the staff raised serious concerns about racial bias in how they were treating guests. Being ignored, dismissed, and made to wait while others were promptly served was not just frustrating, it was offensive. No one deserves to be treated this way, especially in a public hospitality setting where inclusivity and fair service should be the standard. I sincerely hope the management reflects on how their team is trained and held accountable. Until clear changes are made, I would not recommend this place to anyone who values basic respect, timely service, or a welcoming environment. The Manager Paul mentioned that to get a reservation, you gotta be friends with the manager or the Staff. Or else you can't get a table that quickly. read more

I love Townhall! Inclusive menu, fresh organic and keto ingredients that are full of flavor and creativity. This salad was amazing! It was hard choosing for anything in their menu since they have so many great healthy options to choose from. My friend had their crepes, which they usually have a byo crepe bar making it fun and delicious. Ambience is usually packed but if you go to the cafe side it's easy to find a spot with no reservations.
