Isabella gave us a breakdown of the menu as if she wrote it herself, that young lady knows her stuff when it comes to all things food & drink!! We sat at the bar that was closed(we needed the space for a project we were working on). Although the area was "closed" our waitress Lela( hope I'm spelling it correctly) was very attentive. She was on top of everything there was never a moment where we had to wait or search for her. Lela also researched to make sure I had no mishaps with mushrooms in any of my food I really appreciate that. Our cocktails came from the other bar that was open and arrived faster than any bar service I've experienced anywhere. No exaggeration...the cocktails arrived before Lela even left our area. Townhall has always been one of my favorite places to grab a drink with friends. They have a huge selection of beer and fun cocktails as well. Recently, their marketing coordinator Justine reached out to offer a free meal to me and a plus one. We had a wonderful time and are so grateful for the opportunity! Our server was absolutely lovely and the manager Corbin also made sure to come check on us. In terms of food, we got an appetizer and two entrees. Their menu is GIGANTIC, which can be a little overwhelming when deciding what to order. Keto Buffalo tenders - I love their sweet potato fries. It is one of my favorite things on their menu. The tenders were juicy and the sauce was delicious, though I wish the breading was crispier. Grass fed steak and Japanese curry - they were very generous with the portions of meat and veggies, which I loved. The steak was tender and juicy. The curry itself was a bit watery and lacked flavor. Bangkok bazaar - again, generous with the shrimp and toppings which we loved. The noodles were a bit overcooked and not as flavorful as I might have liked. I think Townhall might excel in bar food more than they do in Asian-inspired dishes. Overall, I would highly recommend Townhall to anyone as a great place to grab a bite and some drinks. An Ohio city classic. You can't really go wrong with the food here - it's pretty consistently great and you go in knowing what to expect. The menu covers a lot of different cuisines but they're all done pretty well. The flatbreads and burgers tend to be more filling than some of the bowl options so I usually stick with those, but taste wise everything is solid. The bone broth was also surprisingly good; definitely on the more expensive side given the portion size but it was pretty rich and flavorful. Service was similarly great. The servers readily gave recommendations based on what we were feeling, and were the right amount of attentive. Excellent restaurant with menu options to support many different dietary restrictions (vegan, gluten free, keto, paleo). My only complaint is they do not take reservations on Fridays and Saturdays. It would seem that these busy nights are exactly the times when it would be necessary to be able to book in advance, so that's disappointing. The staff has always been friendly though and makes good recommendations, I've never had a bad meal here. The atmosphere is similar to a pub, but a bit more upscale. read more

Surprisingly, it's been eight years since I wrote a review for Town Hall. So I figured it was time for an update. Well, not much has changed. Town Hall still offers excellent food and service. I was pleased to be seated immediately upon arrival. Looking at the menu, I decided to request a "Mom Jeans" milk shake, which had strawberries, ice cream, and some kind of liquor in it. It was very tasty. For dinner, I requested wild caught salmon. Not long after, our food arrived. My salmon was very tasty and I'd definitely request it again. We normally do not eat dessert, but I had a hankering for it on this occasion. I asked our waitress what she recommended and she immediately said, "Butter cake!". I was like, well okay then! The butter cake was astonishingly delicious and it was a great recommendation. My family shared it and we all loved it and made it disappear quickly. I really like Town Hall. I think it's quietly one of the best restaurants in Cleveland. They offer a variety of delicious menu items, which include vegan and gluten free choices. Ambiance: modern trendy "green" decor, including plants and living walls. Large wooden slab tables. Food: Thai peanut bowl. Delicious minus the aioli. Drinks: pricey. They use fresh juices so it makes sense just expect it! Service: I think we arrived during a shift change and our server clocked in right as we arrived (early). She had another server helping her get the table ready, we just didn't know it was for us so we went to the bar to order drinks. Service wasn't great but it wasn't terrible. Our server was very kind and professional - she was just extremely busy. We had to wait 40 minutes to get a drink order in once. It's not like she was hiding in the back. I watched her running all over the place greeting many tables. Can't fault her for that! The vibe here is interesting, I really don't know how to describe it. Second time here in five years and why it took so long to get back I am not sure? Well, I do live 200 miles away. Our friends live ten minutes away and now know they are coming back more often. This place has it all; indoor/outdoor dining, plenty of attentive staff, multiple bars to serve, one heck of a brunch menu to say the least. We stopped in for a quick meal on Friday the 26th. We sat at the bar and ordered dinner. A few things we were there at apparently the shift change and what a change. The bartender we had as we ordered drinks and dinner was attentive but as soon as the shift change happened we were ignored. When my husband called out to a man running behind the bar he stopped and said "I am not a bartender" my husband had to ask him to get a bartender we wanted to order another drink". So minus points here for stupidity and lack of customer service. The other bartenders were in a group laughing and chatting ignoring us. Finally the food arrives. The sushi roll was contrived and burnt, the wings were tasteless but my husband's burger was good. Overall it reminds me back in the day like TGIF trying to hard to be hip, loud, silly with everyone running around with headsets and food that is ordinary. Its not worth the cost of parking the car. Maybe we are not the target customer but as a childfree couple we eat out a lot and we treat people kindly and we tip well so lucky for us we can go elsewhere. read more

This was the best eating experience my wife and I had during our trip go Cleveland and one of the best I've had in general in long time. Townhall is a must stop when in Cleveland, especially if you are looking for a brunch spot. The inside is massive with multiple bars. Everything is very new and the place has a great atmosphere. For my meal I had the veggie burger with a side of potatoes. I'm not even sure what all came on the veggie burger, but it was one of the best I've ever had. It had a hot sauce that had a really unique flavor, perfect amount of kick. The potatoes were also delicious. They don't have ranch, but they have an aioli sauce that is just as good. It went perfect with the potatoes. On top of the great food, the bartender/our server, Meghan, was great. Even though the place was packed, she still took the time to give us her recommendations for food and drinks. Before we left, she wrote down a list of places to stop at if we ever visit Arizona, where she had been at recently. She really made our experience even better than it would have been. Overall the ambiance was casual but fun, great spot for friends and family or even a casual date. We sat on the back patio and it was such a great spot for a summer evening. We've been here many times before, but it always amazes me how GREAT this place is! First the set-up, the host station is at the front of the restaurant, coming-in from the street. So if you parked in the lot, you have to walk through to check-in. After you do, you can wait in the Cafe area to wait, they'll text you! At the Cafe, you can order at the counter and they'll bring you your drink or whatever else you ordered at the counter. The staff....just amazing! Very thoughtful and ALWAYS smiling at the guests! I think they only hire models ‍. The food was really good, especially the breakfast tacos!!! I had major regret when I ordered the Wakey-Wakey (it was nothing special). The potatoes were bland, sausage wasn't flavorful, the biscuit was the highlight with jelly! But the breakfast taco....sweet, spicy and very delicious! I ate my meal (wakey-wakey) and my wife asked if I wanted the rest of her taco (1.5 tacos). I said "I'll just take a bite, I'm full".....a few bites later, it was gone!!! I don't want to destroy this business as it is a Cleveland favorite, however I have some complaints. Atmosphere - On a Wednesday night, restaurants should restrain from having a club atmosphere. Saturday night, go crazy I don't care but Wednesday nights should have quit background music. Most people don't go out on a Wednesday to get obliterated, I want to hear what the guy next to me is saying. Staff - Mostly good, at times can be a little (how do I say this?) arrogant. But like I said mostly good. Food - pricing on the late night is appropriate, honestly I was surprised at how inexpensive they priced the food. Most Yuppy bars like to take an arm and a leg. Food was a 3.5 in terms of taste and quality, came out in 15 mins so not bad. They have a strange ordering system, I would like to see them keep the kitchen counter open so I could order food somewhere other than the bar. This would also make the servers lives easier. Just a suggestion, didn't really bother me. It's Cleveland, don't expect a NYC experience. read more

Wow, I love the concept of this restaurant and the food also lived up to the high standard it set and I set for it! We visited Cleveland for Mother's Day weekend with our two kids and I had been dying to try this place out after seeing great reviews and after seeing a dietician I follow post about it numerous time, so we knew we had to stop in. We didn't have reservations so went on a whim when we first got in, and after they lets us know for a sit-down service it would be 45 minutes they told us that the other side of the restaurant is more cafe style. We headed over and were able to place and order and sit down and they brought your food out to you, like a Panera-type style. Also, side note before we get into the food, this place is AWESOME for kids. Not only did they have high chairs, but they had a section of shelves full of different board games ranging from all things like Candyland, to I think I even saw Battleship lol (for adults too). Just awesome! Okay, the food. It's was so hard to order because everything on the menu looked delicious. We went with the kids classic flatbread, kids grilled cheese, organic chicken bone broth, keto baked Buffalo tenders, and the toasted beet hummus. Wow, everything was so delicious. Chicken was tender and the coating was crunchy. The bone broth was SO flavorful, the beet hummus was so creamy and smooth and served with Siete brand chips, so the ingredients were on point, and the sweet potato fries that came with were also seasoned well and not greasy. Could help that they have a disclaimer that they only use the good type of oils with their food- no vegetable or hydrogenated oils. Easily a 10/10 experience on the food. We did go back a second time that trip and got sushi and it was also delicious as well. But, something about those chicken tenders really hit the spot. We have to put a spotlight on the dessert here. Because we ordered a bunch of items to try and the one item was SO good my husband insisted we went back and ordered more to take home. This was none other than their cookies. We had their Butter Cake, chocolate chip cookies, paleo chocolate chip cookies and a chocolate fudge brownie. When I tell you that the Butter Cake is a MUST, I mean, if you don't order it you are truly missing out. Wow. The gooeyness of the cake paired with the tart and sweetness of the berries and sauce mixed with the cold of the ice cream- truly an experience. Both kinds of the cookies were so good- we stopped on our way home and bought about 6 or 8 of each (not sure on the exact amount because we finished them all off already lol). The browning was my least favorite, it was good but could have been better. Now we know nothing about this area of Cleveland, but it seemed like a central location and there were a lot of other restaurants around. Very lovely area. I would say most age range there were college kids to graduates, but there were families with younger kids and older kids sprinkled in there too. If you have been to Buffalo, NY I would equate it to sort of an Elmwood near Allen St. type feel, but a bit more lively and more restaurant based. We didn't get to use the back patio because it was freezing when we visited but would love to get back over the summer and try it out because it looks like the perfect place to hangout for dinner or even drinks with friends. I had a lovely brunch experience at Townhall! Located in Ohio City, this was a convenient spot to get to after spending a night downtown. The restaurant was busy around 11AM but we were able to find a couple of seats at the bar. The bartenders were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering a lot of great recs. The menu had a great variety of items depending on if you were looking for coffee, juices, healthy recs, etc which made it hard to choose from! My friend and I both had the honeybun latte (mine hot) and huevos rancheros skillet (mine without meat) and they were incredible. The skillet was super filling, and the naan that came with it was so warm & fresh that I could've eaten it on its own. I ended up taking half of it home for the next day!
