I used to have my Lexus serviced at Bell Lexus, but they kept making service errors requiring return trips to the dealer. Also, their labor price is very high, which is to be expected at a Lexus dealer. A few years ago I took my LS430 across the street to ToyoMotors and have been going there ever since. The first time I went there they diagnosed and repaired an alignment issue that had been plaguing me since I got the car, a problem which the Lexus dealer was unable to fix. I've always had great service since then, never had a single issue. The reception area is clean and comfortable with complimentary refreshments and wifi, and there's an Enterprise rental car place right next door that's come in handy for times when I've had to leave my car with them. My splash shield (cover under chassis to help with aerodynamics or something) was hanging loose on my 2010 Prius, and I could hear it drag across speed bumps. I called to schedule an appt with the Toyota Dealer and was informed it would have to be replaced at $248 for the part, plus labor and would take a day. I said it could be pinned back, and I was informed it couldn't and needed replacing. Total BS. I called ToyoMotors and they told me the only reason to replace it, is if it's gone or very damaged, and then it would be up to me if I wanted it replaced. I made an appt for that afternoon, brought it in and within 20 mins they said it was complete. They charged me for five clips at 70 cents each and $9.73 for labor. Total bill was $14.14 - fourteen dollars and fourteen cents! I was very happy and will continue to service my car at ToyoMotors Auto Care. read more

This company truly stands by their work and professionalism. They are reasonable and compassionate. Brought in my Scion TC in july of '17. The water pump and timing belt was replaced. They offer a solid 12 month 12,000 warranty. Fast forward to 10 months later and the water gasket blows. We tow the car to their shop where the warranty is honored. A new water pump system is put in. We were good to go...or so we thought. One day later we experience another leak. Our first thought was that it was the water pump again. Turns out that it was the lower radiator hose. Jesus and Nick worked with us on getting the car in asap...they also replaced the radiator hose for free as well as doing an oil change for the car in lieu of compensation for the tow charges which I asked them to pay for. 2 things they really didn't have to do. I appreciate the customer service they provide especially in the crazy and stressful 3 day span for us. This Scion has been nothing but a headache for me and my family as we have replaced a lot of things in this vehicle. Excellent service from Jesus. I took one of our cars to the dealer and was told that there were multiple issues and I was looking at 6200.00. I already had our Sienna at Toyo motors and was very pleased with the work, customer service, and price. So I called Jesus and explained to him what I was dealing with. He told me to drive the car to Toyo and they would check it out. I received a call the next day and was told that the only thing that needed to be fixed was a mass air flow sensor. The repair cost me 300.00 or so. I can't say thank you enough for your honesty. Toyo saved us 5900.00!! I thought a North Scottsdale dealership could be counted on to do reliable work, but after this I am going to take my business only to Toyo motors. They also replaced a front strut that was completely blown out. The dealer missed that all together. It is hard to find a trustworthy mechanic these days but I trust both Neil and Jesus. I love ToyoMotors. I always hated taking my car to the dealer. It felt like a chore, they never seemed to do a good job, and I paid dearly for the substandard care. Thankfully, a friend of mine told me about ToyoMotors so I gave them a try. I knew immediately I had found the kind of place I had been searching for. The dealer has never seen my car again. Everyone at ToyoMotors is proficient at their job. It takes just a few minutes to drop off and pick up my car. My car is over 10 years old but runs like it's new. My most recent experience was an example of the typical service they provide. Several warning lights came on at once. They squeezed me in even though their schedule was full because they wanted to be sure my car was safe to drive. The mechanic checked out my car in a matter of minutes, solved the problem and I was on my way. Plus, there was no charge. Neil was especially kind in explaining the problem and resolution to me. RIP OFF! Called and was quoted approx $100 for oil change, air filter and cabin air filter. Upon arrival, was presented with estimate of $84.95 for a 15K service that said it included all 3 things listed above in addition to some other things. I signed the estimate. Upon completion of work, I was presented with a bill for $180. According to them, parts were additional. At my request, the cashier kindly adjusted the bill to the original estimate and I paid and left. A half hour later, the owner called me on the phone and said that I was mistaken and when I objected to this he told me that I am not welcome again in his shop. read more

I took my 2000 Toyota MR2 Spyder with only 60,000 miles, here for just a basic checkup and a knock when I turned the wheel. I told them that I knew it needed shockes and if they wanted to give me an estimate that was fine (had 2 previously). Well they decided I needed a battery, wiper blades, air filter, o-ring, oil chane, serpantine belt, transmission mount and that came to over $400. Then the shocks over $2000 with mounts. I had a few things done but what I could do and not the shocks. Before coming in my car drove like a dream on 4 new tires, had routine checkups and no problems. AFTERWARDS and now my car feels like I am driving on 4 totally BALD tires and I feel every crack in the road!! I am SO ANGRY!! I told them upfront I just got out of the hospital with a huge bill and did not need the shocks yet. I have NO idea what they did to my car to make it feel so bad but now I can not even drive it !!!! read more

Businesses that do it right deserve to be rewarded. Occasionally I'll take the time to write a deservedly scathing review but it's the businesses that thrill me that deserve time and attention. Toyo Motors is awesome. I moved from Chicago last year. My 2009 Toyota was well maintained and loved but I wanted it serviced after freighting it out and I had noticed some rust on the exhaust and muffler. I found Toyo Motors through other reviewers - I don't feel a need to go to a dealer for service, if I'm lucky enough to find a good service business. Their reviews read like love letters so in I went. After a thorough check by their mechanics, I learned there was more extensive rust (thanks Chicago - my car was even garage kept but all that salt and moisture finds its way). The mechanics told me I didn't need to replace the parts yet- the dry AZ climate would buy me time. But obviously, rust doesn't go away on its own. I opted to restore the under carriage. It is an expensive job, due to the muffler and especially the catalytic converter but their pricing was beyond reasonable and fair and I appreciated their honesty and sense of reserve about what I needed to do. Any business that tells you that you have the option not to spend money on something, is looking out for your bottom line. Since that initial repair work, they have serviced my Toyota exclusively. Oil changes, battery... whatever my car needs, they will be the only one who works on it. I am always shocked and relieved at how little repairs cost there and they are professional, friendly, prompt and thorough in reviewing your car with you. They warranty their repairs, even giving you a longer warranty for a new battery than you can hope to get in this hot climate. (If you don't already know, car batteries go faster in the Southwest). They as much announced you can end up getting two batteries for the price of one, when and if you need a new one. They have scheduled me whenever I have requested, never kept me waiting and my car drives better than it ever has. Toyo Motors is the best. read more

I drive a company issued Prius and put a ton of hard miles on it. The other day the maintenance light came on. I Yelped a Toyota repair shop and low and behold, found ToyoMotors was 1 mile from my location at the time. I was in between appointments and was a bit worried that I would have to sit for hours and wait for service. They got me checked in, my car was quickly assessed and I was back on the road in less than an hour. To top it off, the place is super clean and they have free wif-fi, plenty of comfortable seating and free hot and cold beverages. And it's quiet so I could do some work related calls and emails without being interrupted. I am super stoked that I found these guys and will be coming back for sure! read more

BIGGEST SCAM EVER! DO NOT GO HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT AND YOUR CAR WILL BE STRIPED. I went in with a battery problem. They sold me a new battery for 180$, yes I'm an idiot for getting ripped off, but its get better. So 2 weeks later the new battery they just installed, FAILS and I'm left stranded in a parking lot. I had my car towed to their shop only for them to tell me that I had an "electrical problem". They cut the chords to my passenger seat and it will no longer move forward or back. They said the passenger seat was draining my new battery? WTF? And they said they had to hold on to the seat module parts? Anyway just to get out of there they charged me 100$ and told me "good luck". My car seat still doesn't work and my battery still drains :( read more

My husband has been taking the car here for years but no more. Had the car there for a repair and requested complete overview of systems because taking it out of town. Three wks. later, car not starting and had to get it towed. The 7 mo. old battery, installed by Toyo, was replace but they were charging us for that. When I questioned the bill and wanted to see if the battery was checked during the prior visit, as requested, the owner, Neil, became extremely argumentative and frankly, quite rude. I never was presented with the paperwork showing the work that was done to see if the battery was checked or not. Now I wonder if anything was checked on the car, as we requested. The takeaway is if you do not question the bill, the manager is pleasant but not so much if you question or disagree with him about anything. However the employees at the front desk are very nice and do try to be helpful within the confines of their working environment. We will never take our car back to ToyoMotors because of poor customer service and questionable quality of work. read more

I have been a customer at Toyomotors for over 20 years and even after I moved further away, it's continues to be my "hometown autoshop" (think Cheers in Boston...everyone knows your name!). I feel like family each time I take one of our 4 cars in for maintenance or service. I admire their professionalism and honesty; I know if something is recommended for repair it is with just cause and I never hesitate to complete the service. I feel confident and safe in all my vehicles. I have taken advantage of their pre-purchase evaluation and have avoided a purchase that would have been a bad decision; I also purchased a used car from a local large dealer with the contingency that I would have this purchase evaluation performed at Toyomotors. When Neil and his team found several items needing repair, there was no quabble, the dealer fixed everything! I have referred several friends to Toyomotors and their experiences have made them return customers too! Just had my first experience with this company. Very disappointed! I was hopping to stop using Lexus dealer, but I guess not. I have always had my 2014 Lexus serviced by the dealer, therefore when I walked into ToyoMotors I knew I needed breaks and an oil change, but I was told I would be charged to make sure I needed breaks, when I knew that is what I needed. Then I was told I my transmission fluid was black and needed to be changed, well they must not know that Lexus car maker does not require it changed till 90,000 miles. Bottom line I went in to get my break pads changed and an oil changed, and they come out saying I needed my suspension shocks replaced, front break rotors replaced, and a transmission fluid flushed? what is it? is it cause I am female? BUYER BE WARE. I knew something was really wrong when I was told all this- the guy could not even look me in the eyes. I saw the reviews, and thought it was a honest trustworthy shop. I guess not. I went back to the dealer, they checked all that I was told and found I only needed break pads and an oil change. Had it serviced for the 80,000 mile service and I am one happy customer. Can not say you get what you pay for cause I paid $525.00 at the dealers, and ToyoMotors wanted to charge me $1,700.00 to rip me off cause I did not need what they told me. read more
