Solid choice for boba. Love that they have a sample flavor on tap to try. Service was prompt and staff was courteous. Store appeared cluttered, supplies visible throughout. Not eye-appealing at all.

Maybe it's because of the nostalgia, but Tpumps always satisfies my boba milk tea cravings. I'm from SoCal, so the location at Pasadena was the one that I frequented the most back in my high school days. This location is in a plaza with plenty of parking spots. The main highlight of Tpumps is the ability to customize your own drink with all the many flavors that they have. My go-to combination is the strawberry, mango, and pomegranate green milk tea. They also post some popular flavor combinations on the wall if you're not too sure what to pick. Another plus is that boba is included in the drink price, so it's a good bargain if you're planning to order boba as well. They also usually offer free samples, which is always great to give a try. Love Tpumps and will always give them a consideration if I'm in the area and craving boba!

tpumps in San Mateo is my favorite! Their service here is very good. The ambience is a walk-in Boba place with no seats

Considering the price, this place totally hits the spot. Tpumps is where I go when I'm craving fruity bubble tea and don't want to break the bank. (Usually when it's my second boba in the same week lol). I love that I can mix and match flavours and their boba is pretty good too. I kinda wish they had a slightly stronger tea flavour, but this is not a dealbreaker. I'll be back!

We decided to try their boba tea at a different location this time. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the honey boba, even though I asked for regular black tapioca pearls. The drink itself was a bit off for me--I ordered the jasmine tea smoothie, and it felt like tea and ice blended together in an odd way. My husband said his drink was fine but too watery for his taste. On top of that, their menu was a bit confusing to navigate. Overall, it wasn't a really pleasant experience, and I wouldn't go back.

Love how you can customize your own drinks! My favorite mixes are the Mango Peach Passion Black Tea and Honey Lavender Vanilla Milk tea. If you don't know what mix you want, they have a list of their most popular drink mixes. Their boba is so soft as well! They take orders and put out orders in a timely manner, even when it's busy. I highly recommend coming here if you're in the area.

Refreshing, though pretty sweet even at the light sweet level. My green tea was nice and fruity. I went with raspberry guava tangerine. The boba was a bit on the softer side, but hey it's included in the price. I like that they also have sample drinks available to try.

Great prices and yummy drinks. There's a bit of a line but it moves quickly, and who doesn't love their free samples ;)

I love to come on Tuesday's for the free upgrade. I have never had a bad drink from here. I love that they put a different sample out that you can try when you visit. I've like so many of them that I always keep notes to order it for next time. My go to is a black milk tea with brown sugar, caramel, and coffee. Or a green milk tea with strawberry, peach, and mango. Last week I asked them to pick a drink for me without boba, and she offered me a Neapolitan. It was black milk tea with strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate. It was really good too. They use regular lids now. But I wish they went back to the other ones that are sealed on. The line is usually long, but they bust out the drinks pretty fast.

I love t pumps. The sweet tea and flavors galore. Also the prices have never changed so I always get the same flavor. The one in foster city is clean and fast.

I got an iced HK style coffee + milk tea which I've never had before but was so delicious. I'd definitely come back to try the other fruity drinks too! we ordered the tom yum noodles, preserved vegetables & pork noodle soup, salt & pepper fries, and the HK style french toast with peanut butter. the french toast was our favorite- it was fluffy and chewy and was just like the HK classic. the noodle dishes were both so hearty and flavorful too, and the portions were a good size. it did take a bit long for everything to come out, but it did seem like there was only one person working and she was very kind and accommodating when we had questions about our order. we didn't mind at all, especially sitting outside and enjoying the view! overall, I'll for sure be back for the drinks and to try some other HK style street food.

Or, maybe Kazka can upgrade from the camping utensils and serving plates for a slightly more elegant experience...it didn't quite fit in, yknow? First up Hong Kong French toast. It was delivered deep fried as expected, but it was really oily so maybe the oil wasn't quite hot enough? They also forgot the condensed milk but did run it over later. We also didn't get it stuffed so maybe it also would have been better if we did? I've had better variations. Next up, the bbq pork plate. This was actually pretty good! Their homemade cha siu was tender and tasty! Egg on rice is also a classic staple here but I also felt like it was missing just a bit of something, maybe more juice from the pork? Idk, I really like when the fattiness of the HK deli meats coats the rice. Lastly, fries. Pretty standard but piping hot and fresh! I could appreciate it. The yuzu thinned out the mayo considerably but the flavor was really good still. I think I'd return. There were some combos that were already sold out when we came so we should probably give it another go.

Super funny that the couple behind me commented that they go here all the time and there's never a line. After about a 40 minute wait, I got to the cashier at around 10:20am. Half the pastries like the ube brioche were already out so I opted for just the lattes. I played it safe and got the Tahitian vanilla latte. I will say that it's good quality coffee. Didn't need to add sugar. It didn't come super hot though so as I took it away, I downed it pretty fast! I got my mom and aunt the ice latte version of the black sesame and the brown sugar. Sounds like both were good as well. The black sesame wasn't sweet, which was to my aunt's liking. Inside, it's very clean and not crowded. What helped is that there is a sign that tells the people in line that only 6 people at a time should line up inside. If I have the time, I'd line back up. 4.5/5 stars, but I'll round up.

Okinawan brown sugar latte was a tiny bit sweet for me, but I'm a purist who's not a fan of over-flavored lattes that mask the coffee. All considered, this was still very good. Egg toast was satisfying. It is enhanced with the crunchy chile oil - which adds more flavor than does spice for those who are spice wimps like me. This is a nit, but I prefer milk bread with soft crust. The milk bread served with the toast has a harder crust. The space is brightly lit, yet comfortable environment. Some 2-person tables along the wall and bar seating. Better for singles or pairs than groups.

It has a reputation for being expensive, but I have found plenty of things there that are genuinely worth buying. Some of my regular favorites are Fiscalini habanero cheese, Four Sigmatic mushroom coffee, Mary's organic chicken drumsticks, the Whole Foods jalapeño hummus, cherry or mixed berry pie, the field greens salad with goat cheese, and the Organicgirl clamshells. This is the kind of store where I go in for one thing and somehow leave with cheese, pie, hummus, salad greens, and a very specific coffee. I am also a big fan of their pre-made salads and family meals when I need dinner without the cooking. My only complaint is that the sides included with the family meals can be underwhelming. The green beans, in particular, are impressively bad. I would much rather pay the $35 and mix and match the main dish with sides we will actually enjoy than pay less and bring home vegetables nobody wants to eat. Recently, I have also noticed that the dessert and prepared-food sections often have items marked 50% off when they need to be eaten that day or by the next day. If you are already looking for a same-day meal or dessert, that can be a really good option. Between the weekly sales, excellent meats and cheeses, good pies, and the convenience of the prepared-food section, Whole Foods is one of those stores that rewards people who pay attention. Just skip the green beans.
