Throughout the entire process, we kept thinking 'there has gotta be some gotcha' We were able to come to a price agreement within 15 minutes over two emails. Gave a credit card over the phone to hold our car. We came in three days later - we drove over 300 miles to find the exact car we wanted. No dealer in SoCal was willing to bring in an AWD HR-V. In fact, most we talked to were marking up above MSRP and adding large accessory packages to the tune of $2,200. We were in and out of the dealership within an hour, and the only surprises were free window tinting and door edge guards, plus the out the door price ended up being a penny less than we had negotiated. Again, leaps and bounds above every other car dealer experience I have had. If yelp had 10 stars, they would get it. The free fruit out in the lounge was looking a bit sad, but no other car dealer I have been to offers any food or good coffee. read more

I called the parts department because I wanted to purchase Genuine Honda 0W-20 oil for my 2012 Honda Fit. The gentleman that answered the phone said "Hello?!?" like I was bothering him. You would think he would answer in a professional manner like: "Thank you for calling Tracy Honda, this is *name*, how may I help you?" So anyways, I politely asked him: "Is this Honda?" because the way he answered, it didn't seem like it was a business that I called so I thought maybe I dialied the wrong number... He replied "Yes, this is the parts department, but we are having a Christmas party and will be done in about 20 minutes. You can call back then." I hung up..... The lack of professionalism is what gets me. If he was sincere about telling me that they have an event going on, then it wouldn't be half as bad. Attitude is everything. Also, if I were the manager, I'd always have at least one person answering phone calls and continue working in shifts while everyone enjoys the festivity. I filled the application online to begin my process from home thinking it was going to be faster, never got a called from them that day until the next day I had to call them to see if they had gotten my application which (Eddie) said they did and that they will be calling me soon to give me an answer that day passed never got a called either so I called the next day again and (Eddie) was gone that day but another guys was checking my application his name is Jacob which he only asked me for a couple questions and try to be smart with me which it was already a bad sign anyway he told me the same that they were gonna call me again to give me an answer and they never did until the next day I went to tracy Mazda and got approved within a couple hours and had a way better car than the one at honda i do not recommend this place because they misjudged your background never felt welcome when I want in there I felt like when they seen my credit and my down payment I was waisting their time! Daniel is a liar. I called and made an appointment to have the door handle on my Honda Pilot fixed. The original appointment I made with Daniel was for 8:30am but as soon as I hung up I realized that that I could not make that time. I immediately called and changed the appointment (again with Daniel) for 10:00am. I arrived for my appointment at 9:30am. I waited in line for 30 mins while four customer service reps took appointments over the phone, scheduled every 15 mins. When my turn came I spoke to Daniel who neglected to update my appointment in the schedule. He told me I was down for 8:30 and since I had missed my appointment I would have to wait and be served as a "walk-in.' The shuttle was not running and since I live in Manteca I would have to wait until 1:00pm or 2:00pm until my car could be worked on. I drove my car to my local mechanic in Manteca and the car was fixed in 30 mins. DO NOT GO TO TRACY HONDA FOR SERVICE. read more

What ever you do don't get the warranty offered here, I had declined the warranty already with the sales rep and the finance manager Sier Amin basically pressured me into getting it giving this big spiel. I was about 19 at the time and didn't really know much about these warranties so I ended up getting it and now come to find out the warranty I got was not even through Honda, it's through Portfolio. I thought I found the perfect car for myself and family and really thought I was going to walk out of this dealer with a new car. I had negotiated a price with James the night before so I thought this was going to be a piece of cake. I get to the car dealership and asked for James and a representative named Courtney came to help me. James didn't have the decency to at least introduce himself and let me know someone else was going to help. Ok, fine. Courtney took me to look at the vehicle and during me inspecting the car and test driving it Courtney sat in the backseat on his Phone. Not a single conversation. Aren't sales people supposed to sell you on the car and let you know the features it has? I figured eh, ill look at the manual myself. Then I let Courtney know I liked it and was ready to go home with it. He came and wrote down a price that was $1,000 more than what James and I agreed on. When I pointed it out, all Courtney had to say was oh, I wasn't the one doing the paperwork and crossed out that price in pen. Look just because i'm a female doesn't give you the right to try and think im not going to pay attention to detail. From there Courtney and one of The Finance Managers, Todd Suender tried to convince me to use their financing. I already had a loan approved with my credit union. I don't think it set too well with them. Thats when the worse part of my entire day happened. Todd Suender is a dirty LIAR. All I needed him to do was fax a purchase order (car contract) to my Credit Union and the check was going to be overnighted. When I asked him to fax it, he opened up the long contract and said "this we cannot fax". I asked how I would get the contract to my Credit Union he said you take it to them, they cut a check and you bring back the check and also mentioned without the check I cannot leave with the vehicle unless I sign financing with them because that secures my vehicle. It was so confusing why everything seemed to be so difficult. So I asked why is this a long process and apparently Tracy Honda does not affiliate with Provident Credit Union per Todd. So I stuck to my guns and said ok fine, ill take it to them. I had to drive from Tracy to San Ramon to drop off the contract. When I get to the bank they asked why i drove over there. I had to wait for approvals through Managers to cut the check so I could get my car the same day. When Provident called Todd to ask why he couldn't fax the purchase order Todd said oh, we do that all the time. Maria didn't ask me to fax the purchase order. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! Then Provident asked Todd why do you need a check when Provident usually over night payment, Todd said oh yeah you can send payment that way. We handle it that way all the time. YOU BASTARD. He tried to blame it on misunderstanding. No. No. No. YOU TRIED TO COVER YOURSELF. After hours of trouble and waiting on approvals, I had the check in my hand. I was in traffic from 3:00-4:30pm when I said what am I doing? I could not see myself looking at that man's face and thanking him for finally giving me my car. I called the dealer and told them I will not give them the satisfaction of giving them my money and helping them sell a car to their benefit. Watch out when you go here. Hopefully they don't treat anyone else the same and make you run in circles. If you work with Todd I strongly suggest there be another Finance Manager in the room to watch over his work. I've been here three times over the past 5 years to purchase three different vehicles. My first vehicle was a traded-in Toyota Camry. It was a very good price with a very low interest rate. My second and third vehicles were both Honda certified pre-owned Honda Pilots. I traded in the first Pilot toward the purchase of the second. Again, both vehicles were very good prices. The most recent car had a HUGE interest rate. Personally, I didn't think my credit score had changed that much - but I really needed the car. They gave me a very fair trade-in price, which I researched independently before I went to their facility for a quote. They gave me almost the exact same amount. The waiting atmosphere is very comfortable, the sales staff is knowledgeable and polite, and their closer is very efficient at paperwork (and also polite). The main reason I'm writing this review however is because of their finance person. As stated earlier, I signed for my third vehicle at a very high interest rate. A couple days later, I received a call from their main financial officer. He asked me to come back in and re-sign the agreement because he found me a CHEAPER loan! Completely on his own, he researched the terms of my financing and was able to save me 4% off of my interest rate - which ended up saving me THOUSANDS of dollars. He did not have to do this at all, and for that I will continue going to Tracy Honda until gasoline no longer exists. Kudos Tracy Honda - keep up the good work and fair prices. read more
