My cousin's family and I were driving up the 5 to San Francisco when all of a sudden we felt a lurch in the car and saw smoke pouring out of the engine bay on our Honda Odyssey. We nursed the van over to Tracy's service department and were greeted by Jeremy and told him our predicament. Although most of the mechanics were on lunch break, Jeremy immediately put our van up on a lift and had one of his techs quickly diagnose the problem as a transmission fluid overflow. He said that it could take 4 hours to do a fluid drain, top off, and do a leak-check to ensure that there were no other issues, but quickly expedited the service since we were on our way to SF. After 2 hours. Jeremy gave our car a conditional clean bill of health and said that if we ran into further issues on our trip, he would provide us with a free tow back to Tracy Honda and a loaner Odyssey for the rest of our trip. Altogether, we experienced amazing service and hospitality at Tracy Honda. And free Peet's Coffee for waiting customers is just a cherry on the sundae =) read more

A delayed review from a purchase on 6/07/13. My husband and son drove all the way from Benicia for the used car they saw online. It took hours, but they came home happy thanks to Todd Suender, Finance who made it happen! The one problem, in all the excitement. They realized they only had one key!!! My husband called back and they informed him there was only one key. Problem is the sales person Guillermo did not disclose that? My husband again spoke to Todd again and he help get us another key. Had a really good experience here on Sunday. My fiancé researched purchasing a used Pilot for me all over the Bay Area for about a week or so. We decided to go with Tracy Honda mainly because they had the best online deal. When we got to the dealership, we met with George G. There was no bait and switch, they stuck to the price that was quoted on line and threw in a tank of gas too!! Added bonus-George regaled us with a few good stories too!! First off I wouldn't be writing this had my car not broken down. First off, we bought our 2010 Honda Accord EX-L V6 Coupe Certified Preowned back in 2012 with 40,000 miles. Sales manager was a jerk but we got it for a good price. Since July 2012 the only thing that's been bothersome is a front strut noise in the summer and a grinding noise on cold starts in the winter. Now to the break down. Now December 2015 the car has 93,000 miles on it. Yea we drive a lot... Let my Mom use it to go to Monterey and on her way back the CEL, VSC, and VCM lights all lit up and the power steering lost a lot of power. She drove over the Altamont Pass like that and pulled over in Tracy. Thank god. I went out to where she was and drove it to the Tracy Honda (very very close). Felt like it ran like poop, running on less than 6 cylinders for sure. Honda said it was misfiring on cylinder 3 and needed spark plugs 1-4 replaced... Why not do the other two? Oh well I don't care. They also replaced my starter. Yay! All under my warranty. Anyways, good review from good experiences. Update*** 2/25/16 Brought the Accord back in for engine noise. I was looking to purchase yet another reliable Honda after I handed my accord off to my son. First of all, car inventory is very low and had went to a few other honda dealerships only to find a very limited stock of Honda Civics (the car I was looking for). I decided to call the Tracy dealership and extremely glad I did. I bought a new 09 Honda Odyssey EXL from here two years ago. Why did I drive all the way from Sacramento to Tracy to buy it here? I saw their internet ads for a few late model used Odysseys that looked clean and decent along with the equipment that I wanted. We had been looking for a used one but let me forewarn anyone looking to buy a clean nice USED minivan- Good luck! Most were TRASHED- especially on the inside. Can you say KIDS? My wife and I stopped by. I think it was either a Saturday or probably Sunday late afternoon and surprisingly they were VERY slow. I think we were the only customers there. We were approached by a very nice salesman. I forget his name but he was of Asian descent. He politely informed us that the used ones we were looking for had been sold- not too surprising since my experience has shown me that clean Odysseys do not last long. I did not believe this to be a ploy tactic or lie on his part. He then showed us what they had. We started with the used ones but none fit the bill. We then decided on a whim to look at their new Odysseys. There was very low sales pressure and we found the one that we liked- all the options and color we wanted. The only issue was that it had come in recently and was still out back wrapped in plastic. We went to talk numbers and ended up buying the van. After buying it, I learned I had probably paid a few grand too much, but that was due to my lack of research. Overall I was happy with my experience here. Their selection wasn't the best- they just happened to have exactly what I was looking and we were there. read more

I was searching for a specific car. Tracy Honda had what I was looking for. We called to make a deal over the phone and couldn't agree. A few days later we showed up, but still couldn't agree on a price. Two days later they lowered the price to more a reasonable one. We drove back down again and bought the car. Wasn't a terrible experience, unlike the awful time we had a different dealership a few days before in Fremont. The car is great and super close to having everything I wanted. The only thing I wish to be different was that we could've made that deal when we originally showed up for the car instead of 2 days later and having to drive back because I live 3 hours away. 6 hour round trip drive done twice in 3 days. 12 hour total for the same dang car. Brought my car in for tire inspection due to tire shop I use on  a regular basis was unable to rotate my tires. They suggested I bring it to the Honda dealer to look at the wear of the tires. Abe, representative suggestion I get an alignment, but ask him if that will fix the issue. He was not sure therefore I was in contact  with Frank, manager of Honda. Frank took care of my issue with the tires and got them replaced by the manufacturer and they also take good care of giving the original tires back as promised when purchased. Frank went above and beyond to take care of us. He wanted to make sure I walked out of Tracy Honda a satisfied customer. I give him 5 stars for giving excellent, quality and great customer service.  New tires came in, made an appointment Friday March 29th got to Honda dealership at 9:05 a.m. to get two tires switch with daniel. I was never told my car was going to be sent out I gave him two opportunities to say something when I said I was staying to wait for it and also that I wanted to look at the tires when he was done. I had morning coffee now it is almost lunchtime and I'm still at the Honda dealership. When I approached Daniel service rep his comment was I thought you had it all set up. Yes I did with an appointment nothing else was told to me. When I told Ron the service assistant manager he apologized and said sorry sorry. I'm not a happy camper right now . It is now 11:30 which Daniel says that my car is being picked up at this moment. Car here at 11:40. Suggestion and the only thing I wanted from the beginning is to be told my car was going to take over an hour. Would have gotten a shuttle ride home. Again before I left Frank showed up explained my situation and again he went above and beyond to make up for problem that I had at the service department. read more

I brought my car in because it would not start. I have a fairly new car. 2016 Honda Pilot. They tried to figure out the issue and really didn't know what was wrong. Finally they said I needed a new starter that would cost 1,600. I paid for them to order the part, but when I left I felt very un easy. I brought the car elsewhere and they asked me if the battery was tested. They didn't take any money from me or look at the car. After what I explained, that was the first question they asked. I called the dealership and they said they did not test the battery. I immediately cancelled the starter. I drove around for about a month and then all of a sudden the car wouldn't start again. This time I brought the car in to have the battery tested. The results came back Bad Battery. I replaced the battery and didn't have any more issues with the car. The most irritating part of this is, they were going to make me replace a starter and I would have still had the same issue. The other irritating thing is, I spoke to the service manager Jeromy who was not helpful and usually isn't when there is an issue, but you would think he would have looked at my paperwork and asked the same question, Why didn't they test something as simple as the battery. On top of all of that, they charged to me to look at the car and didn't even check everything. Horrible service and I am appauld that they would do something like that. Total rip off read more
