I've love the spicy beef curry. Lots of flavor but not too spicy. I will definitely order again, next time with some roti panang.

The Roti was crisp, but still had a nice chew to it and was not too oily! Portion size was ok, I think just enough for 2 ppl to share as an appetizer! - Sarang Seafood $27.50: Interesting dish for sure! It was fried taro paste in a bowl form with a seafood stir fry inside! In my opinion, I think it was just ok! A little overpriced for the amount of actual seafood in the dish (there were about 4 pieces of shrimp, small pieces of scallops and squid). I think the dish could've used a bit more flavor and maybe better quality seafood? Overall ok! ~overall~ Service was great, very quick and the staff were very friendly! Lot of seating indoors, so would a good spot for larger groups too! Plenty of parking in the plaza as well! Overall, pretty good, I may come back to try some of their other dishes since their menu seems quite big!

We came here as a group of four on a Saturday afternoon before a movie screening and every dish was pretty good, the standout being the bird's nest (nest is edible), fried tofu, and noodles. Next time I want to check out some of the desserts as well, but unfortunately we were too full to even fathom another bite. A good problem to have! Service is friendly and parking is abundant. This is located in a very popular strip mall with a ton of options, but I would recommend coming here for a taste of authentic Malaysian cuisine.

Curry Leaves Bistro: 2025 December (5 of 5)…read more The holidays mean attending parties or hosting one. I was recently invited to a neighbourhood holiday party where each neighbour brings a dish - like a potluck. I decided to bring Curry Puffs. The curry puffs were a hit - they were gone in seconds, a testimonial to the deliciousness of these treats made by Curry Leaves Bistro. The host even placed the curry puffs the star and centre of the photo he sent to the neighbours. Source: Malaysian curry puffs are widely available at street food stalls, bakeries, and markets and are enjoyed as a breakfast item, an afternoon tea snack, or a late-night treat. Locally known as karipap, it is a popular, savory, half-moon-shaped pastry snack with a flaky, crispy crust and a thick, spiced filling. They are deep-fried until golden brown, resulting in a crispy exterior. When eaten hot, the curry puff provides a satisfying contrast between the golden, flaky, and crispy exterior and the soft, warm, savory, and mildly spicy interior.

Every time we went there, we met old and new friends, it was like the perfect gathering place. So for one last time, we had our favorites char koay teow, roti canai, curry laksa, and generous helping of their final day buffet with my favorite vegetable dish of cabbage, an excellent fish curry, sambal petai and other special dishes from the buffet. It was bittersweet -- the wonderful homey lunch experience, but knowing it would be the last at this location. So now we wait for the reopening at another spot, hopefully nearby. And live on with the memories of amazing dining experiences here. A big and hearty thank you to Chef Jai, Vicky, and their entire staff especially Rasul. We'll see you again in a few months!

We still prefer the tofu from Chili Spot in St. Louis. Dry curry beef ($22.95): The sauce was a bit one dimensional and could have used other spices-- but the beef was so tender, chewy and good and almost made up for the sauce Char koay teow ($17.95): Good! Came in and ordered a feast that honestly should be framed. First up was the Roti Canai, which was so flawlessly flaky, crisp, and chewy that tearing into it felt like unwrapping a delicious gift, especially after a heavy dunk into that rich, aromatic curry dipping sauce. Next, the Green Curry Chicken arrived bubbling hot in a metal pot like a beautiful, creamy potion of pure happiness, loaded with tender chicken, okra, eggplant, and green beans that made eating vegetables feel like a reward rather than a chore. Then came the Sizzling Beef, putting on an absolute theatrical performance on its hot platter while coating perfectly tender beef, thick-cut onions, and caramelized peppers in a glossy, savory sauce that had me scraping the plate. To put out the delicious fire, the Thai Iced Tea was the ultimate, creamy, sweet savior served over an mountain of ice. The service was lightning fast, the flavors hit like a culinary lightning bolt, and the portions did not play around. Ipoh has officially forced its way into my regular dining rotation, and I'm not mad about it at all!

A few other customers were arriving and waiting as well. We ordered two nasi lemak dishes and one seafood kwetiau goreng. The kwetiau came out first, and we assumed the nasi lemak would follow shortly, so we started eating. Even after we finished the kwetiau, we still had to wait a bit longer for the nasi lemak to arrive. That said, the food was delicious and full of flavor. The portions were on the smaller side, which felt pretty typical for an authentic Asian restaurant. The staff were attentive even though we were seated outside, which I appreciated. The restaurant itself has a very casual and family friendly atmosphere, and most of the customers seemed to be dining in groups with family. I especially enjoyed the kwetiau goreng and would definitely come back for that dish again.

The roti prata was definitely one of my favorites and perfect for dipping into the curry. The curry itself was rich, flavorful, and comforting without being overly heavy. The noodles were also satisfying with a nice balance of savory flavors and good texture. For dessert, I tried the pandan panna cotta. The presentation was nice, but personally it wasn't my favorite compared to the savory dishes. The pandan flavor was lighter than I expected, though it was still creamy and refreshing. Service was friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. The vibe is casual and lively, making it a great spot for sharing multiple dishes with friends or family. Overall, a really enjoyable meal with standout savory items I'd come back for the roti prata and curry again.
