Sauces from L to R: Chili Crisp ( Really spicy), Mint & Yogurt, Tomato & Sesame, & Tomato Sauce.
    John L.

Momo Hub is a Nepalese spot that I have been wanting to try since it opened. I love dumplings and I have never had Momo before. Location is a little corner spot and there are a few tables to eat at. When I walked in, I was taken back by the big wall covering the kitchen. In other Yelp pictures, that wall is not there and it just a big eyesore. I walked in and ordered a Chicken Momo and a Vegetable Momo. Though I didn't put up a stink about it, but the prices on their website are much different and cheaper than when you do a walk in order. Maybe I should of said something, but I was on my lunch hour and wanted to get food and go. Next time (if there is a next time), I will order online and a head of time. It took 30 min to get my food. So half of my lunch hour was wasted. They need to get faster on their ticket times. The food: The dumpling or Momo's kept falling apart and that made for a tough eating experience. I think I had only three that stayed intact. Both tasted good. I liked the spices. Of the two, I liked the Vegetable Momo over the Chicken. The vegetable one just had more flavor. They both are very greasy. The sauces all were very flavorful. I think the Tomato sauce was the best. Would I comeback? Probably. I hope they work on the prices for the website and walk-in are matching up, the Momo's stay together and quicker ticket times.

If you're a fan of this particular type of food then I guess it will appeal to you. For me, this was my 2nd time trying momos, and I think it's just not for me. I grabbed a late to-go night snack of fried momos, chili momos, vegetable momos, and kheer momos (that we're replaced with gulag jamun). Yes that's a snack, shut up. The fried momos were far and away the best. Lightly fried just to crisp the wrapper, and a bit juicy, these tasted good, stayed in 1 piece, and had a satisfying meaty flavor that the sauces accentuated nicely. The chili momos were... alright. Look, if you want to try this, ONLY order it to eat there. It's basically potsticker-shaped momos stir fried with tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, and sauce. Potsticker wrappers being what they are, they absorb the sauce and get soggy, so this concoction gets gloppy and hard to eat fast. Taste wise this wasn't even spicy, more sweet and sour, and the vegetables were kind of unevenly cooked. Tomatoes were just shy of mush, bell peppers and onions were still crunchy. I don't know, it didn't really come together for me, just had an unusual combination of flavors and textures I didn't like. The final savory dish was vegetable momos, and these sucked. Pardon the bluntness but they were overcooked, falling apart, stuck together in a sloppy mess, sitting in a puddle. And I ate them in maybe 5 minutes after picking them up. They taste vaguely vegetal, but with a mushy consistency that really detracted from whatever they might have originally been. It was just gross. Finally, my dessert of gulag jamun, which replaced the kheer momos I ordered. These were good but inexplicably served cold. Who eats cold gulab jamun? Nobody, or at least nobody sane. At least make it room temperature, but I like mine slightly warm. Like a normal person. Parking is very tricky here as they are on a busy street next to a neighborhood. But it's kind of irrelevant, because just like with Ethiopian food, I have given momos two chances and that's enough.

Self service bowls: plastic or leaf

It's a literal hole in the wall. The restaurant seems half finished as well not sure if that's intentional or not. There are very few tables and they have carom table as well. And as with most restaurants these days they are serving food in take out plastic containers. They have leaf plates and bowls for self service along with plastic but they were too dusty. But the folks here definitely know how to cook and not just cook but to also make food taste absolutely delicious. This place undoubtedly had some of the better if not the best Nepali and Himalayan food across all the momo places mushrooming nowadays. We got the momo chaat and veggie noodles and both were great. They also have a self service sauce station which had some of the most epic sauces! I loved the tomato momo chutney the most, it had this amazing kick from chillies and I had it with all the dishes. I can easily ignore the ambiance as long as the food is good but what bugged me the most was the use of food color even in dishes which typically don't have artificial color. They make the food look unappetizing in addition to being harmful for health. They used a green color for the momos in the chaat and a very strong red color for the chicken chilli. I hope they can take this feedback and make the necessary changes, it will not change the taste of the food, just makes it a little less toxic.

Wai Wai Momo (with Vegetable Momo)

Happened to be in the area and hungry and stumbled upon Mommo Hub. The lot is small, but there's street parking around the place too. Seems like more of a takeout spot, but they have a few tables inside if you want to eat in. We tried the steamed chicken momo and the wai wai momo with vegetable momos. While we waited for our order, we were offered complimentary soup (goat soup if I remember correctly), which was nice. Both momos were solid, but between the two, I liked the vegetable one more, and I liked the soup in the wai wai momo, so if I were to come back, I'd probably order just the wai wai momo and maybe a side or something new. They have a cart on the side with a variety of sauces, but there was plenty of soup in the wai wai momo to dip the chicken ones too.

Stopped by at 6 and they were open but it sounded like they were still prepping for dinner as no one was at the front but they were in the back getting ready. Took a few minutes for them to finally come out but eventually they figured out we were there. Food was made and served quickly and was really tasty and at an affordable price. The chow mein was fresh and had lots of flavor. I got chicken momo dumplings and they were really good. Very different from a more traditional Asian dumpling as these were packed with a ton of spices. Overall a good quick and easy food place with no frills. Portion size is good, I came in hungry and was stuffed after the noodles and momo.

Very casual spot located in a small run down plaza with a nail salon and liquor store. When we went it was just the chef and the waiter, who were both very friendly. I thought the chai tea was fine- more milk flavor than spices. I'm not one to tolerate much spice, so I'm glad that everything we ordered was made mild for us (there's a huge counter of various spices if you need to shake things up!) We had the chicken momos which were great- tender and juicy. We also had the Wai wai momo's which come in a soup base, goat momo's and essentially ramen noodles- great dish The Chow Mein noodles were flavorful without being spicy. Fried rice was colorful but a bit more bland. They bring you the food, but grab your own silverware and sauces

A brand new Momo restaurant in town and you otta pay it a visit. Now you may say another momo place? What's so special about this momo joint? First, the dough is hand rolled and not a machine made one. It has not been worked too much which gives the Momo a great texture. What's unique about this place is that they have a "sauce bar" aka Achar/Chutney selection. There are variety of sauces you can choose from or try all of them. Spice level include medium to spicy. Here's what we ordered: Chicken and mutton Momo: we really enjoyed the mutton Momo. The filling was flavorful and not overly seasoned. Our daughter enjoyed the chicken Momo, I felt chicken lacked a bit of flavor. Chicken Chilly: good flavor, sauce is tad bit sweet. I would've liked the chicken to be crispy fried. Sausage Tareko: 2 pieces is sausage charred on a stick. Now if you're used to sausages in Nepal this doesn't quite cut it because the sausage itself doesn't have any flavor. My husband and daughter enjoyed it, I didn't quite care for it. The staff is friendly, service is amazingly quick and overall a good place to get some delicious Momo. Give it a try!

    Chicken chilly bone

Hard to miss, this is a small place in a small plaza next to a nail salon and liquor store. Minimal parking in the lot, there's street parking. They give you a free soup as appetizer. Tasted like lentil soup. Favorite dish was the chicken chilly bone. Asked for mild and it still had a bit of kick to it! Very flavorful including the vegetables. Got each of the Momo's...vegetable, chicken, mutton. Reminds me of xlb. Couldn't taste the meat as there were so many herbs and spices. Rest of the items on the menu are all fried. Loved how they serve the Momo's in a leaf bowl!

Chicken momo., very pricey for what they are giving. The taste is very bad. The menu card price is different from the actual charges. Mid night pls avoid this place to go and eat or dine out also.

Chilly chicken - chicken was rock hard 0/5
    P A.

Ordered momo wai wai which is just a chicken momo with maggi noodles with boiled chickpeas and carrots. Also ordered chilly chicken which was super greasy and like a rock. This might have been cheap chicken lying around for a week....yuck. Chowmein was also greasy and oily. They have a free sauce bar. I tried all. There was not a single sauce that impressed me. In my honest opinion this was will not survive for over 6 months with the current cook.

Cool good cheap food near Santa Clara university. There is a selection of sauces for you to choose from like a taco truck.

Me & my wife went in this restaurant yesterday for lunch. Let me tell you truth. My wife is really good cook herself. Generally, she doesn't like food other people cooking but she enjoyed yesterday having lunch in this restaurant. I can't wait to go back again. Kudos MOMO HUB

This is a hole-in-the-wall hidden gem with delicious Nepalese food. The momos are handmade and the sauces are amazing. The steamed chicken momos are delicious! All their momos are handmade which you can tell from their varying sizes. At first I found their discrepant sizes off putting but as I ate them with the yummy sauces that I'd gotten from the sauce bar, I actually started to find it endearing. It felt like each warm momo was handmade and folded with love lol. There are 8 in each order which actually is the perfect serving size per person. If you get the Jhol momo, it's a tart curry broth that you can soak the momos in and eat together, but honestly I still found the tomato and sesame sauces from the sauce bar the best to dip into. The fried momos weren't as good. I think the frying dries them out a bit whereas they're just right when steamed! The samosas are 2 to an order and come with a curry full of peas and potatoes, yum! Will be back to try more menu items and get more momos and sauce. Seriously I can't get over the flavorful sauces! Be forewarned though that the sauces have a bit of a kick to them and the spicy sauce (chili oil) is SUPER spicy!

It tastes exactly like the vibrant street food you'd find in Kathmandu or Darjeeling. The Standouts: * Veg Steamed Momos: These are perfection. The vegetable mix inside is finely minced, juicy, and seasoned with that distinct ginger-garlic punch. * The "Momo Achar" (Dipping Sauce): You can't talk about these momos without the sauce. It's a spicy, roasted tomato and sesame chutney that provides the perfect acidic kick to the savory dumplings. * Street Style Chow Mein: This is a nostalgia trip in a bowl. It's got that high-heat "wok hei" (breath of the wok) flavor--smoky, savory, and slightly oily in the best way possible. The flavor was mild, and while the dipping sauce helped, it wasn't anything particularly exciting. Service was fast and efficient, and the food came out hot.
