Very clean, social distancing enforced and it was well-stocked. I came here on a mission to find some soy-creamers my Mom loves and fell in love. The alcohol selection is much bigger than the one in Walnut Creek so I grabbed a few different bottles of bubbly to try. The plant selection was not as robust as other places but entire store feels very spacious. Nice staff and a big parking lot will entice me to drive further if I am having a party in the future because this store feels like it offers more than the average TJs. I'll be back! read more

This is my favorite Trader Joe's to shop. When I lived in Martinez a few years ago I would come here and the staff was always great. Then I moved to Walnut Creek and Trader Joe's in Walnut Creek is good too but I prefer this one even though it's a little longer drive just bc of the staff and store set up. read more

Gonna start going to the downtown location after going here for years. Apparently the manager of the entire store finds it appropriate to call out any person she deems suspicious as a thief. Didn't want to apologize for being out of line for baseless assumptions instead apologized for " how I felt". So I'm gonna buy the TJ goodies elsewhere. I don't shop at Trader Joes often, despite what people on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok say. I get it, you like Trader Joes, cool. That said, the few times I do come here, I am always treated with kindness by their staff. Usually, I visit here during the morning so things are a bit slower and conversations with the cashiers are brief, but in the evening when things pick up a bit so do the workers. Why not to long ago, I was listening to a conversation one of the workers (Bailey) was having with another cashier as well as other patrons. That dude has so much positive energy, I couldn't help but to smile at how efficiently he was moving and conversing at the same time and didn't even show an inch of fatigue. IDk what keeps that dude going, but he's got a good thing going for him and I'm gonna make it a point to hop in his line whenever I visit... The store? It's always clean, produce is pretty fresh and I love their flowers. One request? Bring back the Peanut Butter and Jelly Blondies... I can't live off of Brookies forever. read more

This store was in a huge shopping center. So parking was good. I love that before you even walk in they have an amazing amount of flowers. This place is spotless. I love how they have a lot of pre made food. The meat seems really good. My favorite part is they have a love of organic and healthy options. Everyone has a favorite item at this store mine in the cinnamon alphabet cookies so amazing. Cookie butter is not far behind. They have a large selection of organic soaps and laundry detergent. It's a little pricey but the quality is definitely there. The staff here is super helpful. read more

This location gets super crowded (especially from 2-6 on a Sunday) and the aisles are a bit narrower than some other locations. However, parking is never an issue. Trader Joe's always looks very clean and fresh inside as well. Love coming into this Trader Joe's. The staff is so friendly. Today everyone was in such a great mood that the whole store was filled with good vibes. I came in so I could get some more produce and make some healthy swaps and try some new recipes. I can not wait to make a harvest blend kale salad or power balls rolled in coconut flakes. Especially with summer coming and the sunny days ahead the salmon burgers are delicious and such a great find. Sometimes I feel like Trader Joe's can be a little more expensive but what I got today actually wasn't bad. 30 bucks for my haul. Not bad. Some of the things at Trader Joe's are just better as well. If you have the chance get flowers from here as well. They last forever and are so beautiful. This is the first time I got the everything but the bagel seasoning and I'm so excited to try. I love this trader Joe's! I always have a pleasant experience here. Not sure why the cashier didnt thank me for bagging all of my own groceries. But no worries. The store is very clean. There are alot of great deals here. To keep it short and sweet I buy the frozen meals all less then $5 for dinner during the week. I get alot of the asian stir frys and the rice to go with it ($2.99 each). If your vegetarian there are plenty of options. The quinoa black bean Veggie burgers are delicious. There are plenty of indian frozen meals that are also convenient (veg and non veg). The lunch meat is very fresh. I get one pack for $3.99 and it's organic. The sausages are good too which come in lots of different flavors. I find many other budget friendly items here ( popcorn, snacks and misc toiletries ). Go in here with an open mindset and you'll find some steals. Parking is a little frustrating, park in the back because the traffic coming from treat can be a bit much. Go the other way towards Wellsfargo to get out of the shopping center safely. read more

My all time favourite checker is Tom at the Albany Safeway. He's chill, sings in a deep soulful voice, and moves people quickly through the line, while making you feel that I'm talking with my best friend. During today's visit at this Trader Joe's, we ran into a Training issue. There's usually a significant line at any TJ's and I've applied my own strategies over time to optimize my shopping experience. This early afternoon visit was memorable in that Gayle and I had never before run into a line that was held up solely because of the leisurely chattiness of the checker. It was of those situations when a person not only tells you what time it is, but then proceeds to tell you how the watch runs. By our estimate, we entered the line 4 orders back and stared pushing the cart out the door 30 minutes later. On top of that, a fellow staff person offered to help with the bagging was refused, while this checker plodded along. And all the while the line snaked even further back into the aisles. read more

My favorite TJ's in the area (and also my favorite in California...hard to beat those shmancy Oregon ones). :-) This place has the coolest folks working here, the most generous sample set up, and the quickest moving lines. It's equidistant for me from the one in WC, so when I want to treat myself I'll go out to this one after getting a ton of fresh veggies from Food Maxx out in Concord. If you look closely enough, you'll occasionally find amazing deals on alcohol here. I stocked up on enough Stoli Gala Apple in the fall to last me through the apocalypse (a $10 handle of Stoli? no shame there). Because this one is in Concord, they'll also give you paper bags for free, which is a nice little perk after living in WC and having gotten used to walking out of stores dropping things on the way to my car. No way I'm *buying* a bag every time I go shopping! I visit this store at least a couple times a week. No plans on stopping anytime soon! read more

I love you TJ's! The staff is so helpful, if I don't see my Thai noodle salad on the shelf I can ask one of the friendly crew members if there are more in back and most of the time they return with salad in hand. As with most TJ's it always seems a bit cramped but you can avoid that by shopping near closing time. I never really bought frozen food items until I started shopping with you TJ, your frozen items seem to taste fresher than other grocery stores. I have taken credit for many of your entrees after I have served dinner to my dates and properly disposed of the boxes. I have poured 2 buck chuck in a beautiful wine carafe and passed it off as a rare find from a "special" Sonoma winery. OK, I guess this says a lot about the men I date, but anywho TJ I also wanted to shout you out for making my brown bag days much more convenient in these tough economic times. read more

Like so many others, I am a huge Trader Joe's fan. The staff here are incredibly helpful and friendly but that seems to be consistent with other TJ's. I think what sets this store above some others are the spacious aisles. I have never hit anyone with my cart here. It's great! This was the TJ's that I frequented when I lived and worked in Concord. I recently went back when I was in the area, and found that they made some improvements: 1. The wine area was less cluttered better organized. 2. The sample station in the back was more open. 3. They added an express lane (finally!) Though I do enjoy going to this store, there are still a few drawbacks. 1. Smaller than most other TJ's in the Bay Area (including the other Concord location). 2. The parking lot is very strangely arranged (though not TJ's fault). 3. It's right next to 1 high school, with a 2nd one right down the block. If you try to come by around 3ish during the school year, forget about it! Navigating into the shopping center and through the lot is sometimes a nightmare if you time it wrong. read more

How do I love this Trader Joe's? Let me count the ways: 1. My husband says the milk here tastes better than anywhere, and they have my unsweetened vanilla almond milk stocked up and cheaper than anywhere. 2. They have a great selection of cheeses. At first, they appear more expensive than competitors, but if you look at the quantity you get more for a lot of it. 3. The baby spinach, bananas, and strawberries are cheaper than anywhere. 4. They have delicious salt free white corn tortilla chips, and this popcorn made with olive oil Dr. Oz recommended. Hey, I don't watch the show, but my husband heard! 5. Their vanilla almond granola is really good, and for $2.00 a box, a nice substitute when I don't have time to make it myself. 6. Lots of prepackaged easy dinners, fresh and frozen, including: - pizzas - wraps - salads - Mexican, Thai, Italian, and Chinese food - sushi 7. The staff is so knowledgable and friendly. One time my hubby and I were staring kinda blankly trying to decide on which tea to try, and this guy comes up and totally starts geeking out about tea and describing them for us. 8. Their forgiving return policy -- dude who informed us on the tea also let us know they'll take just about anything back if you don't like it. 9. The yogurt's a decent price, too. 10. I can get my chemical free soaps here and don't have to make a special trip to Whole Foods. 11. The ketchup. TJ's ketchup is awesome. 12. The alcomohol, including: - the mix and match TJ's beer. They have a decent beer selection and other kinds are cheaper here than elsewhere, too. - two-buck chuck - the liquor is priced decently, too, although I think cheaper at Bevmo for some things. The only complaint I have actually is that sometimes the staff is a lot more friendly than others, and also they don't always offer us a raffle ticket when we bring our own bags. I don't know why. I literally live next to the plaza that houses this TJ's. I love that I can walk across the street, reuseable bag in hand, and pick up some snacks for my work week. I primarily buy my produce at Concord Produce Market on Monument. I feel their greenery is the freshest, cheapest, and has the least amount of packing. (I even reuse the plastic bags for the veggies I buy, or I don't bag my veggies). It's all getting washed when you get home anyhow, right? For everything else, i shop TJ's. If you're a fan of unsweetened, black tea, the TJ's kettle tea (1 gallon size I believe? $3.99) is awesome! (comparable to Tejava). They also have an unsweetened green and white tea with a hint of mint. One of my bosses loves this one as much as I love the other. My fiances favorite drink is the TJ's Vintage Cola. A 4 pack is $3.99 and it has a taste similar to Coke but maybe less artificial. Plus, everything bottled in glass is nice for drinking - gets so cold! The Roasted Seaweed (Wasabi Flavor) $0.99, Roasted Plantain Chips ($1.69) and Everything Bagel Chips ($1.99) are the best snacks there. If you're a rice lover, they have boxes of frozen rice that are perfectly microwaved in minutes for $2.99. I like Jasmine best but they also have another white and a brown. The employees here are wonderful. Very friendly staff. I can say the same for all Trader Joe's stores though. It's nice walking in to these places to do my grocery shopping. Always crowded but the lines generally move quickly. All of the employees are fast-moving and energetic enough to keep the crowds happy. read more

I've shopped here a few times after I drop off my son for basketball practice at the Ultimate Field House nearby. Just like all the other TJs that I've been to, this is a great store with very helpful staff. I do most of my grocery shopping at TJ and they have great products with low prices. I try to avoid coming to TJ on weekends because of the crowds but when I do, I go early in the morning. Yes, TJ breads and tortillas do go bad quickly because they are made without preservatives! I keep them in the freezer/fridge if they're not going to be eaten quickly. The one that that this particular location has that I have seen before at other TJs is the children's give and take book section. My children picked up books the last time we were there. Now that we know about this, we'll donate books that we're done with the next time we're there. read more

Currently during shelter in place, I feel this location did an amazing job with handling customers. All carts were consistently sprayed down with cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer was squirted into our hands when entering the store and the workers made sure to keep people 6 feet apart in line.
