This is our go-to Trader Joe's. What I like about it is the ease of finding things inside, the layout is efficient for busy moms that's for sure. TJ's is definitely doing things right price point wise, especially in this economy where the middle class is basically considered poverish. You can still get by with decent cuts of meat here, seafood and fresh produce (although limited in selection, at least it's always organic). Their snack selection is why I'll always be a fan though. Yummy for both adults and kids. Not giving this location 5-stars because the parking lot can get really hectic here (doesn't matter what time of day). read more

All Trader Joe's I've visited are fun and busy. This one is the best I've been to, and is rated as the best in the U.S. As always, friendly, knowledgeable, courteous staff and fresh, mostly low- cost groceries. Fresh flowers and healthy plants. While out and about with my daughter we decided to stop in for some fresh flowers, some snacks and some prep for dinner. It was quite busy since it was Saturday and took a few minutes to find parking. Once inside we found what we needed quickly. Service was good and check out fast. I had been eagerly anticipating the opening of this Trader Joe's in Gilbert in 2022. I remember visiting the proposed site long before the store officially opened, and listing the new store on Google Maps (even though it wasn't there yet!). I couldn't wait to see it take shape, it's exactly what you'd expect from a newer location--big, clean, and bright with an abundance of food products. The staff are generally quick, friendly, and helpful, and the store is always well-maintained. The ambiance here is a bit more bustling than the typical Trader Joe's vibe--it feels a little more hectic compared to the usual calm and chill energy of other stores, but that's to be expected in a newer, busier location. Parking is the usual--adequate, but not without its challenges, especially during peak hours. That said, I'm glad to have this location in our town. I ordered flowers for my daughter's baby shower on 1/24. I called ahead and spoke with the person in charge of the floral department. He was very kind and assisted me with ordering extra flowers for our event. The roses, hydrangeas, baby's breath and assorted greens were so fresh, beautiful, and the roses continued blooming and opening all day at the event. I am so impressed by the quality of the florals and the ease with which we were able to choose them. TJ saved us a TON of money by us making our own arrangements! I was worried when I saw women rolling out of the store with their carts full of pink and white roses at 8 am, but there was plenty! Thank you Trader Joe's of Gilbert!!! read more

I frequent this store for my groceries but sometimes go to another local grocery store because they have a few items that Trader Joe's doesn't. Today I do that and had the worst experience ever. So I left all of my groceries at that store and went to Trader Joe's instead. I grabbed everything I needed, and plenty that I didn't (IYKYK) and made my way to the cashier. Marissa came and brought me to her line. We made small talk and I shared about my horrible experience earlier in the day at the other store. She was the sweetest. Totally went above and beyond in her service and even sent me home with a hand lotion and peanut butter cups because my day was less than desirable. Required? No. Thoughtful? 100%. She made it a point to turn my day around even though that was not her job. She said she truly believes in putting the love out that you wish to receive back. I stopped into TJ to pick up just a few items on a busy Sunday afternoon. Putting my key fob into my purse as I walked across a storm sewer and yes, you guessed it; the fob fell INTO the storm sewer. I went inside the store and spoke with Trevor and he gathered some things; long rope and super strong magnets. He attempted for awhile but we were unfortunately unable to retrieve it that day. The customers who offered to help were also amazing! I was in contact with the TJ management and their property management and storm drain maintenance companies and couple weeks later we were able to remove the drain cover and recovered the key fob. The employees at TJ went above and beyond and I'm grateful! read more

This Trader Joes fit the perfect mold. Small, cramped parking lot giving off that classic TJ ambiance. Friendly service. Delicious food on shelves. Fresh flowers. The best fresh fruit. The one person who stands in front of the cold salad section for 15 minutes and can't decide what they want and it causes a backup of people wanting cold food. I stopped by this location to pick up some birthday flowers since they always have a great selection...and especially since my mother loved her flowers for Mother's Day. There are so many options to pick from and even more. Their customers' service was outstanding! The employee knew we were going to make a bouquet, and I asked where I could buy some bottled water, but she then offered to have someone give us a bucket and some water to go. Within minutes, we had one-handed to us, and that employees was nice too. Wished us a great day and had a smile on her face. It's the happiness in this store! I can't explain how happy I was to move to a new city with two Trader Joe's within 15 minutes away from me! This location is the closest, only ten minutes away. I used to drive 40+ minutes to the nearest one when I lived in Georgia. I do not have a single negative thing to say about this TJ's! Let's start with parking. This TJ's is located in a large shopping strip, so there's plenty of free parking. The layout of the store is great, and is so organized and clean. It has a great flow, and finding items is easy. Speaking of items, TJ's has tons of gems. They have something for every dietary need. I literally feel like a kid in a candy store everytime I go to TJ's! The prices are so affordable it's difficult not to go a little crazy. Even my husband loves to shop here, and he's not a big shopper. He always finds a new dip or snack to enjoy. Their staff is some of the friendliest and nicest people I've ever encountered in a store. They're the Chick-fil-A of grocery stores when it comes to customer service. As much as i absolutely love and adore Trader Joe's... this by far is the worst location of the whole lot in Arizona as a whole. Why? First because they are always out of the things i need for my kids. 2nd. The customer service(not including their captain/manager Ashley who is great) but I've already had three rather crappy interactions with at least 3 diff people alone when it comes to my son who has a few delays. Like obviously these people don't have kids or just have such Karen mentalities and don't give a ____. After my most recent shopping experience and 3rd bad experience with a diff team member im not even going to address it with the store and just not go back. Thank god they are opening a new location soon south of us. Every Trader Joe's we are in the center where it's like a 12-14 min drive radius. So as much as i heard that the traffic will be nuts if the customer service is spot on I'll drive for it. So i usually try to go to Tempe if i have my son. But because the Gilbert location is so convenient for us near his swim a school and speech therapy is the reason we tend to drift more to this unfortunate location. I wish Chandler had another location instead of just the south Chandler opening. Maybe someday in the next decade. So personally I'd recommend avoiding this location if you have toddler/boys. Because the team members are not forgiving here. So unless you like getting your rambunctious toddlers scolded constantly this is the store for you. Believe me we scold our son enough he just doesn't listen. read more

The parking lot can be a bit of a packed maze, but they have really cute signs to be aware of pedestrians which always makes me happy. I live further away than the Gilbert location but make a special trip monthly to shop at this particular store. The samples are always special and generous and Tori immaculately presented them today in special little cups (Blueberry Muffins). Tori is an amazing team member and uniquely qualified to various locales including checkout and other important customer service positions. A kind and professional team member with a joyous personality. The dairy and eggs are managed by Chris G. who perfectly restocks the shelf with precision and everything is perfectly aligned. Chris G. is an exemplary team member with a pleasant demeanor. The checkout does not disappoint and is speedy and efficient with Nicole and Glenn packing the items carefully and neatly for transport home. A weekly visit to TJ is always on the agenda. There are many options for delish meals and snacks to choose from. Some of our staples are of course the orange chicken paired with the veggie fried rice, TJ Greek yogurt, brown rice, pizza dough and all the topping and our son loves the mini pizzas. They have great products for sale at Trader Joe's. Sometimes they have special products or unique ones. They always have regular products there too like bananas, apples and so on. They have coconut milk and almond milk. I found a nut milk there that I have never seen before. It was a macadamia, almond and cashew nut milk. I didn't try it. Once I tried a pea milk before. I think it used snow peas. I thought it tasted fine. It didn't taste like peas. A couple of the coconut milks was about two dollars and eighty cents. The nut mixture with macadamia milk was about two dollars fifty cents. They had a hemp beverage for about three dollars. The almond breeze was about two dollars and thirty cents. The rice milk was about three dollars and fifty cents. The oat milk was about two dollars and fifty cents. I like oat milk. There isn't a lot in production yet. I haven't tried this brand from trader Joe's yet. They have a plain, a chocolate, and one with pea protein. I always like visiting Trader Joe's. read more

I do love Trader Joe's! I usually frequent the Tempe, Mesa, Plaza Mountainside (Ahwatukee/Phoenix) locations but today, I visited their newest location in the city of Gilbert. Situated in the San Tan Pavilions on Williams Field Road in between Val Vista and San Tan Village Pkwy stands an independent building with the company name proudly presented on it. All cart, shelves and display cases are sparkling new! Bold lines and the big box interior layout makes you want to zip along each aisle quickly. (Probably the intention.) Though, with the updated modern design, I feel the quaint and cozy atmosphere I enjoy at the sister locations is absent. This local grocer has all the same unique products as the other Trader Joe's but this site offers liquor. Tequila, vodka, whiskey, gin etc are readily available on the shelves. The friendly staff were all kept busy by the clusters of excited customers on their second day open but all very polite and genuine. This level of customer service always makes for a wonderful shopping experience! read more
