I shop almost exclusively at T.D. You can't beat the prices and they have a good variety. I also shop at the one in Sunnyvale and the one in Campbell on occasion. This T.D. is close to my daughter's school and I believe the staff is the BEST. There is always the free sample coffee and munchies of the day! Not a great choice for seafood, all frozen stuff just isn't' that great. But the chicken, pickles, fruits and veggies are always fresh and tasty. One of my favorite's is to buy the packaged lentils and mix it with quinoa, top with chopped tomatoes/onion/cucumber mix. read more

Love Trader Joe's! Reasonable prices and good selection of vegetarian food (they have Dr. Praeger's veggie burgers and Wildwood tofu-veggie burgers). I also come here for cheaper baking ingredients like King Arthur flour, chopped nuts, butter, eggs, etc. Not one-stop shopping for me, though. THE BEST STAFF of all the local stores both friendly and helpful... most often everything is in stock and the store is not too crazy busy. I love this Trader Joe's! The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly - they recommend new products and give samples of their favorite items. I never have a problem finding what I want there, but it does get a bit crowded in the lanes sometimes...also, none of their beer is kept cold, which is a big bummer. I love Trader Joe's. I don't know how I did my shopping before Trader Joe's existed. Besides Costco, we do all our shopping here. They have such a great variety of items that I have a hard time finding elsewhere. Here are some of the things that I have a hard time finding somewhere else: fresh mozzarella balls (unseasoned), chicken apple sausage etc. I know a lot of the stuff I'm looking for is also at Whole foods but Whole Foods is just to damn expensive. Trader Joe's is the best option. I always seem to have trouble finding parking at this particular Trader Joe's (even though it's a lot). I think the only time I was able to find parking easily was mid-day ish. Every time I go after work I might have to park further away from the Trader Joe's and hoof it. It might be because there are so many different stores in this Plaza and there are always people here. The good thing about this Trader Joe's is that it's near Target and Wal Wart. So you can do all you home shopping in this particular area and call it a day. Another huge plus for this location...DAIRY QUEEN. It's a good capper for a long day of shopping. read more

Some things are good quality and priced cheap. Some things are average quality and priced high. Buyer beware. Good prices for milk and some veggies and some wines. Frozen stuff seems so-so. There are some things that you can't find at Safeway or Lucky and they seem lower priced than Whole Foods. Lots of rude, snobby shoppers. There is a stand out in front for you to put recyclable plastic bags but all the rude, snobby shoppers seem to always use it for a trash can (the real trash can is about 3 feet away). Parking close to the store can be hazardous and very busy. Sigh. Staff workers seem to be trying their best for the most part. Free coffee and very small samples in the rear. This store is great! I always find all of the groceries I need at a lower price than anywhere else. My favorite item to buy are their potato bites. I also enjoy the taste tests that they have set up in the back of the store. Almost every time I do a taste test I purchase the suggested item. Been coming here ever since it opened. Never had a negative TJ employee experience but I tend to keep to myself anyway. Prices are decent but used to be better; inflation, or something, I guess. This trader joes is terrible! Every single time i've gone in here and at different times of the day its always packed and just yuck! There is a line to almost the freezer section of the store and its just a mad house. I would rather take the trip to whole foods where the produce and pretty much everything is a lot better. Don't get me wrong., Trader Joes has a lot of fabulous products at great prices. Bone in french cut pork chops are my favorite cut of meat, tender, juicy, tons of flavor. I would rate more stars had it not been for the parking lot. The parking lot is wayyy too small to accomodate all the tenants and all the snobby pretentious people who want to park as close as possible to the store makes for a daily disaster. Sometimes I opt to just park in the surrounding neighborhood and walk over, saves me a headache. Oh gosh! I need to stop grocery shopping. But, I realized that I hadn't yet been to Trader Joe's since my return to the Bay. This meant a stop on the way home. I have some key favorite items at Trader Joe's. They have one of the most delicious pico de gallo salsas in the refrigerator section. It always has the perfect amount of onions and is so tasty on chips or even by itself. Trader Joe's also has some delicious Indian food that is easy to make in packets and nutritious. They have a couple different types of guacamole that our family has tried. It seems like we can never settle on a guacamole for long, but we did stick with one from Trader Joe's that was in one of their plastic square packages. One of the issues with Trader Joe's is its smaller selections. Many of the stores are on the smaller side for a supermarket so they don't carry as many products as Whole Foods and Safeways. I really wanted a corn and bean salsa, but they didn't offer anything even close. They also don't carry name brand items so this is not the place to go if you are looking for your Chobani yogurt or Nabisco Crackers. They also have some delicious dips, but again not as many choices as Whole Foods. They do have a plethora of pre-packed salads and entrees that are easy to warm up or take on the go. Trader Joe's shines with their Indian and Asian products. I am never disappointed when I buy these items at Trader Joe's. I like that they have some unique kinds of chips and cereals also like the Lavash chips which are absolutely delicious. They have a huge trail mix selection perfect to take on an afternoon hike. Most Trader Joe's products are also reasonably priced. While Trader Joe's does have a smaller selection, there are some particular standout items that I truly enjoy and can not find elsewhere. read more

I simply adore TJ's for many reasons. Staff are very friendly no matter what time of the day you stop by. Price is definitely better and the quality of their selections are outstanding. Especially all the prepared foods that you can buy if you don't feel like cooking. My vegetarian friend introduced me to TJ's years ago and I thank her today this day and tell her how much I love shopping here. For organic and yummy food, I like this place a billion times more than Whole Foods. A few reasons... -Prices are comparable with normal grocery stores, rather than marked up 100% like at WF, so you can eat much healthier for the same price -The staff is super nice and attentive. Definitely your friendly neighborhood grocery store. The staff are very accommodating and helpful. As busy as they are, I never have to wait long in line to check out. TJ's fav's: Marinated mozzarella balls, Chocolate lava cakes, french vanilla ice cream, chocolate croissants, pumpkin waffle/pancake mix, and the apple blossoms. Yes, the parking lot can be a complete mad house. There is alot of "questionable driving skill" that enters that parking lot. Be patient, go slow, and return your carts people! Monday mornings are the best time to go for the parking lot can get pretty crowded mid to late day. read more

I can not believe what a short review I wrote before!!! I must have been in a bad mood or something. I adore every single thing about this place! The customer service is out of this WORLD. Me and my sister always talk about how we think the employees at Trader Joe's must get paid pretty well because they are all so happy and helpful and in a GREAT mood. I often times see them singing or being playful with each other. It may be because I visit here 3-6 times a week, but I have come to know a lot of the employees and we chat with each other every time I come in. I come here a lot right after work, and by the time I get off work, I am usually STARVING. My favorite thing is to go directly to the samples counter (Its open the entire time they are open) and get a sample. The samples are always delicious and give me ideas of what to buy. The sample is so good it usually tides me over until I get home and make dinner. The thing that I recommend to everyone is the Trader Joe's brand chicken tikka masala frozen meal. I also pair it with the frozen naan they have and that is my dinner every single night of the week. It is sooo satisfying and all together is around 550 calories which for dinner isn't *too* bad. If you haven't had it, try it immediately! I think I have posted pictures of the Paneer masala which is really tasty as well, but has a bit more fat and calories, so not really worth it. read more

I went on a crazy organic phase after realizing that Trader Joe's has a lot to offer for a lot cheaper than you would think. My regular buys: Tomato Basil Hummus, whole wheat pita bread, vegetarian pizzas for $2, baby spinach bags, $2 buck chuck! (cheap wine), honey whole wheat pretzels, reduced guilt: mac & cheese, low sodium tomato soup, udon/miso/teriyaki bowls, and corn salsa. YUM: healthy, affordable, and delicious! Love TJ's, but parking at this location is a real nightmare at peak times.The drivers tend to be pretty crazy.... Huge fan of the shitake mushrooms, madeleine cookies, goat cheese pizza and the tiramisu. I could probably eat a whole 8-inch tiramisu on my own. SO GOOD. Products I wasn't a fan of: -- white bean hummus -- tasted super processed -- many of the boxed salads have bland dressings. I stick to the caesar salad even though it's boring; at least the dressing is reliable. --Trader Joe's Face Wash (the orange one) didn't do anything for my skin. It's pretty much a nice smelling orange liquid you pour on your skin and wash off. read more
