Let me begin by giving a shout out to an invisible CSA, or customer service All Star All by phone-a gent named Dan or Dave. He was kind enough to grab a particular chocolate bar that is absolutely out of stock at at least 3 to 4 other locations I've tried closer to me. I was in the area, so I thought I'd call ahead to this particular store. To my surprise a gentleman named Dan or Dave answer the phone and put me on hold and was kind enough to go and hold some of the product upon my arrival. And while I want to give him a lot of credit for that, this store was absolutely nuts! I've never seen the sheer volume of people that were in here. There must have been over 3 to 400 people in this store, and that's probably on the low end. Absolutely every single cashier had a line going back at least midway through the respective aisles. You couldn't make it up. I called the store back to thank the gentleman who took his time to grab me the product, but told him with the best tone of appreciation I could muster up that there's no way in the world I was going to do half an hour to 45 minutes in line to get out of there with a few candy bars. Lol This location must be the most popular thing this side of the pyramids of Giza on Sunday afternoons. Suffice to say they won't be seeing me again on this particular day. I don't even know if additional staffing would make a difference. Best of luck to those who call this particular Trader Joe's their home store.

Store was clean and employees I interacted with were helpful. I was looking for the Irish Butter chips and after visiting 4 other stores I found them! I wish TJ had the ability to tell me where inventory I'm looking for is located.

The Baseline: For a grocery store it must have a wide selection of items, the produce/bakery/meat selections must be fresh, the store aisles need to be clean/organized, the traffic flow must be logical, the prices must reflect the value, and the service from staff must be good. Food: This is Trader Joe's so it is going to have a variety of grocery items not considered standard by major grocery chains. The items I come to expect to be available from a TJ store are typically there and I get some good finds. On my visit all the produce items and meat items looked fresh and of good quality. The things I probably didn't need but were fun to find were bought. I got ears of corn, flowers, and half-n-half which were of good quality. Service: All the store staff were friendly and helpful looking for items we came in for. Register check was quick and efficient. Ambiance: The aisles were cleaned and stocked, well organized on my visit. The flow of the aisles are in a grid were functional to the flow of traffic making selections. Price: Trader Joe's has some really good value items but it is based on quantities with a 2-3 member household ratio. I had no complaints about my bill.

My preferred location is the Trader Joe's near USC. I went to this location out of convenience since I was in the area. Perhaps it was because I went on a weekend but it was super crowded and the layout it's suitable for when it is. The customer service is friendly and the lines move quickly but I'll avoid shopping there in the future.

Trader Joe's is one of my favorite spots for quick, healthy meals. I love the variety of freshly packed salads they offer--always flavorful and convenient. Their frozen meals are equally impressive, with so many tasty options to choose from, perfect for when I need something easy but delicious. The customer service at this location is top-notch, with friendly and helpful staff that make shopping a breeze. Plus, the store is always clean and well-organized, which makes the whole experience even better. Trader Joe's never disappoints!

This TJ's is fine--it's a smaller buildout than some other TJ's with less shelf space but they try to keep things filled. It's not my regular TJ's, but I stop in here when in the area for the famous TJ Tuna Wrap and sometimes pick up some other things. I am going to give you some million dollar advise: Do Not park in the first row near the store--I am not there often and in the few times I have been over the years I have witnessed cars backing out of spaces and hitting other cars backing out, other cars parked, and many close calls--seems like every time I am there there is a car incident. To get more spaces in, they put the rows too close together and with many people in South Bay owning large SUV's these days--it's not optimal. Best practice is to park as far away from the store as possible where no one is parked. That's what I do. I am telling you! Also in the shopping center is my favorite REI. There is also a Barnes and Noble and the Vitamin Shoppe.

I love visiting this Trader Joe's when I'm here in MB visiting my daughter. They have such a beautiful, large collection of house plants and seasonal items. It is always well stocked with fresh produce and the store is clean and tidy. I especially love how friendly the employees are. I'd like to give a special shout-out to Diana and Carl for doing everything they could to find a specialty item for my daughter this morning. It's employees like them who really go the extra mile that make shopping at TJs a no-brainer when there are so many competing markets out there. read more

I love coming to this Trader Joes as it carries all I need and more. The staff is friendly and personable. The store is stocked up and clean. I love finding new food items as well as my go to items. I always buy the frozen sweet corn,orange chicken, chile lime seasoning,Pasadena salad,tuna wraps,and homemade flour tortillas. Those are some items I recommend and always walk out with. I prefer this Trader Joe's as opposed to Torrance or the other Manhattan Beach location which are my local stores as well. read more

Dear Trader Joe's of Manhattan Beach, Here I am Yelper Jenn G, writing you another letter of thanks! See I want to thank you for introducing me to my new crush Cookie Butter! You don't know how long I've searched for Cookie Butter! I've gone searching high and low but Cookie Butter was elusive. Perhaps because Cookie Butter is so popular and it's no wonder because Cookie butter is smooth, rich and sweet...who wouldn't be smitten ;)? I just had to see for myself what Cookie Butter was all about. It's like the song lyric of "I knew I loved you before I met you." I knew I loved Cookie Butter already ;). You don't know how my heart fluttered when I heard Cookie Butter was at your store and then you wouldn't believe how heart broken I was when I got there and was told no more Cookie Butter. I walked away so sad. I was on my phone calling other Trader Joe's when I heard someone calling me and running after me in the parking lot. I didn't turn around at first. I was on a mission to find Cookie Butter elsewhere but the person calling was persistent and so I turned around to see who it was. Imagine my surprise to see it was one of the folks working at your store. She ran after me to tell me that Cookie Butter was on the shelf and they had made a mistake when they said it was not there anymore! Ahh so sweet of them to run after me to let me know that Cookie Butter was there! I went back inside and was presented with Cookie Butter! Cookie Butter turned out to be everything I dreamed of! Breakfast brunches are not the same without Cookie Butter! Lunch time sandwiches call out it's name! Afternoon biscuits with Cookie Butter and tea are the perfect mid day pick me up! Dinner desserts are delcious with it! Ahh Cookie Butter, perfect for any occasion! Nothing's better than wolfing down spicy salami on the beach. We picked up some quality salami at this Trader Joe's. It's not strangely located, and convenient to get to. Inside, you'll find a typical Trader Joe's store selection, and this location (store #106; in a shopping center with lots of parking, near large stores like Barnes & Noble) has outdoor sales too. While it can get crowded Saturday mornings, there's still room to navigate. Not that it'd be my first choice, but you can stock up on liquor and wine here if you feel like it. read more

Who doesn't love Trader Joe's??? I LOVE the prices, the produce (although it is limited), their selection of nuts & dried fruit, and I'm crazy about those Tofutti chocolate sandwiches. What I LOVE most about this location is that they don't allow solicitors. There are a few pet peeves: -the nuts section keeps getting moved (this is not practical for frequent customers) -most locations (including this one) are not on top of stocking up on popular items especially around the holidays. -there are random items like flour that's always stocked all the time....except that one time when you need it. -dairy items expire before the expiration date -i loathe all TJ's parking lots Don't get me wrong I still LOVE TJ's....I'm there at least 3 times a week. BUT those are the inconsistencies that I've experienced and hopefully they can improve. read more

Fantastic TJ store....but the parking is awful. It gets crowded here folks - and the parking can get crazy. I love TJ's who assemble their flowers and produce outdoors - such a treat to be greeted with beautiful things even before you get into the store. Some have mentioned this location is one of the "larger" locations - personally I don't think so - but even if it isn't, it's still packed with all the fantastic things you love about TJ's. Love the service, love the location....I don't love the parking. But heck, have lunch at one of the nearby restaurants, stop and buy the latest top 10 novel (at B&N), peruse the aisles at Pier 1 and REI, then head to TJ's to make the next great meal in your own kitchen. read more

I come here often but this is my first review. This is the best Trader Joe's ever. I always come to this one. If I can't find what I need or reach what I need (lol) there is always someone super nice & eager to help. This visit was no different. Nice employees, always asking if you need help to reach something (as I am a little shorter than the items that I was trying to reach). Love the diversity of customers and employees. I do recommend this location to whoever is looking for healthy items or who has a sweet tooth! read more

I wonder what are Trader Joe's hiring process... how do they determine if the person is qualified? Several times I've been here and their cashiers have made me extremely uncomfortable. From weird looks to even some eye rolls to barley even speaking to me during checkouts but have great conversations with the customers that were getting checked out before me. And it's always the male cashiers! I guess I figured out one qualification to getting hired is being a "eye rolling white male". Got it! read more

This is a solid TJ's with all the goodies you seek. I love their fresh selections of quality fruits, vegetables, breads and meats. Some highlights for us: their trail mixes, Santa Maria tri-tip, pumpkin ravioli, seasonal items (i.e., peppermint bark), burritos, shampoos, flowers, and bargain priced wines. We also crave their snacks aisle, with healthy (and not so healthy) options, like Quinoa chips, and Peppery Potato chips. Their frozen foods feature something for everyone and my faves are the appetizers that can liven up a party, turkey burgers, pizzas, tamales, rice, mochi, and fish. There are definite peak periods where it can get crowded, but that's true of all TJ's, and they aim to keep things moving. Their staff is always friendly and helpful. read more

Have always had a love/hate relationship with this location since Day One. A couple of staff members have had questionable behavior but they don't stick around forever. The selection is decent but I've found that the Manhattan Beach Blvd location has more, despite having less interior space. Today, I hope that they take a page from the Hawthorne Blvd location and exercise social distancing. Over the past few weeks, they've been more lenient about entry but not observing how close customers are. I wouldn't expect a direct confrontation but there was an incident today where two women chose to stand less than a foot away from me. This took place in the checkout area where a floor person directs the customers. I walked away quickly without saying anything but my shopping experience was definitely compromised. As a cancer survivor, I have to baby my immune system anyway. So far, I've been able to sidestep this pandemic but since I've been home, I haven't been feeling the best. To be fair, it doesn't feel serious and will probably pass with rest. I just want for management to know that some customers are not following guidelines. At least not in the later morning. read more

I had a bad/weird experience. So I decided to write a review a few days ago but it's nice to see that my comment was taken down!! Way to go. Anyways, it's an uncomfortable atmosphere... customers were rude and made the grocery experience unpleasant. The other customers would glare at me and two ladies almost hit me with their shopping carts on purpose IT WAS STRANGE. As for the workers, they were respectful and our cashier was great that's why I give it two stars. read more

Every Trader Joe's visit seems to be the same... Great selection of stuff, totally helpful staff (and lots of them), pricing that pretty much beats Ralphs, etc.... And generally, a good vibe. With the exception of an emergency, wouldn't shop anywhere else. read more

3/29/21 I loved going to this Trader Joe's weekly, sadly they have no respect for those with disabilities . My sister who is deaf, was treated poorly by an employee named Johnny. The staff members were unable to resolve the situation. Overall, such a disappointing review I just want to remind this establishment, that disabled human beings exist & I would appreciate if your team could learn to respect others! If I could rate 0 stars I would ! Harassing a disabled teenager is shameful , & not something that should be taken lightly whatsoever. read more

I have seen SIGNIFICANT improvement in their customer service! Everything I touched on in my last review has improved which has made a positive difference in my shopping experience here! This is my go to tjs! I always have the best check out experience! This store also carried the grinchmas trees during Christmas time and it was my first time purchasing! This location is also next to a Barnes and noble and Mother's market! Love the large amount of free parking! read more

I love Trader Joe's. They have great products and I feel the best value for the money. I buy everything I can from them. I only go elsewhere for items that I regularly use that they don't carry. They now carry Impossible Burger and at of course at a good price. read more

For some reason this feels a lot smaller than my usual Trader Joe's store. Some items are difficult to find or they may not have them available. The check out is pretty quick, they have plenty of cashiers to assist. Public parking onsite but it can be very hard to find a spot during rush hour. read more

What to say about this Trader Joe's in a great location? Holy crap on a cracker! (says Penny from Big Bang). This is my store from now on. Parking is wide open and a plenty, store is well organized, wide aisles, service and employees - excellent and for some reason, it seems like they have more than the other locations. It really does seem a lot larger too. No pesky wine lady trying to shove what selection of wine you should buy (mind you, that no one asked for advice from) - Thank God, you can peruse around the alcohol aisle and feel safe. (referencing the pushy sales associate from the Whittier store - and I'm sorry, but someone had to say it) Enough about the past, the future of me and the hubs shopping at this particular TJ's is bright!!! I love this store, everything looks fresh and well organized, but then again all their stores are just like that, it's just this one's by far the best! I truly feel God built and sculptured this Trader Joe's and for that, I'm a patron forever and ever, till death do us part :) read more

I really like this Trader Joe. I came here the other day to look for some rum so I can make some tiramisu. They had their own brand on sale for $6.99, I saw this guy grabbing two, it must be good I reckon, so I took one. This one has more flowers and plants selections than any other one in the area, they are all very affordable, nice! There is never much wait in any Trader Joe, another plus. read more

Very nice Trader Joe's. I love going to this one!! Big, clean, and roomy. Plenty of parking. I have never seen them out of much, so great selection on everything. Always have great samples. Employees have always been very friendly and helpful. Lines rarely get long, but when they do, they always seem to open up another one promptly. I go out of my way to go here. In the same complex are REI, Old Navy, and Barnes and Noble. There are a Fry's, Costco, Whole Foods, MIchael's, and several other stores within a mile. Save gas and combine trips!! read more

It's not my favorite of the Trader Joes I have been to but we go to Barnes and Noble a lot so it is convenient. If you are coming from Aviation Blvd. to avoid the mess in the parking lot I just go behind the buildings and come out into the parking lot on the side of TJ's. OH YEAH SHAME ON TRADER JOES FOR NOT HAVING A PLASTIC BAG RECYCLING PROGRAM. FYI I bring in cloth bags but sometimes I do not have them and end up with plastic bags and I also save the plastic bags the newspaper comes in to have them recycled. read more

Masala veggie burger, topped with an egg over easy please! Bonus for the cute and friendly cashier! Fun story: I used to work for the Northrop Grumman close by. I noticed one of the fresh-out-of-college, newly-employed guys would come here on a weekly basis, load up on frozen burritos and other microwavable frozen goodies, store them in the office freezer, and then eat them over the duration of a week. So essentially, he got a relatively inexpensive and tasty menu, exclusively from TJ's with little hassle. Classic. read more

Great little location! I like meeting my friends in this area for lunch and like to pick up some goodies for them... I come here and pick up goodies such as: Yogurt covered raisins Dark Chocolate covered almonds Butter cookies dipped in Dark Chocolate (Made in France) - Schwiiing! Belgian Chocolate Box Soooo many sweets to choose from, enjoy! High quality products for such an affordable price. And to top it off, you can get a TJ Reusable shopping bag as a gift bag. How cool is that? I love TJ's for making life easier for me...Thank you! read more

This was not your average Trader Joe stop for me. About an hour away from home, I came to this location to grab one item - chips. I left with a basket full of things I have not seen at any of the Trader Joe's I've been to around my area (home or school)! The facility is fairly large, it's primarily their non-food items that drew me to fill my basket with loads of relatively inexpensive products, as well as items I never knew existed! (HANDCRAFTED soap with fancy doodads and things that a man shouldn't know goes into his soap, less he be unwilling to use said soap for fear of not being manly). Anyways, I loved this location and if it wasn't an hour away from me, I'd probably shop here and stock up monthly on their awesome line of fresh, hippy clean and earth friendly things. *sigh* Gawsh .. makes me want to go up to strangers after a nice shower, massage their heads and whisper, "save the planet" - but I won't. That's too darn creepy. read more

I LOVE Trader Joe's and I love this location. I can always get a good parking spot and I get in and out within 25 minutes or less. They have a great selection of products here including organic. The prices are great and no coupons are needed which is right up my alley because I hate matching coupons to specific items. They have a great frozen food section which makes it easy to prepare good meals for the busy worker such as myself. I love their Charles Shaw wine and at $2.99 a bottle you just can't go wrong. This is my neighborhood go to market and I shop here at least once a week. The check out process is really great too. There's no need to unload your items on a conveyor belt. The checker unloads your basket for you, bags up all the goodies and places them back into your cart and you're ready to roll!!! read more

Last night I went to a Trader Joes right before closing to pick up my weeks supply of bananas and they were all out. That was my fault for the way I timed it. I knew where this TJ's was and it was directly in the path that I needed to travel to head home. As I walked in I saw two Trader Joe employees throwing bananas that someone like me would have purchased into a bin. I asked if they were still OK to buy. I loooooove Trader Joe's! They always have the best & freshest stuff at the most affordable prices. This TJ's is definitely my favorite because...EASE OF PARKING!!! All the other TJ's I've been to always has the worst.parking.situation.ever. But this location always has plenty of parking and is next door to both Fresh & Easy's (for anything you can't find at TJ's - bf loves their 0.98 Il Fornaio fresh loaf) & BevMo! Some of my favorite TJ picks: Frozen roasted corn (so you don't have to roast it yourself), salad bags, mini heirloom tomatoes, TJ's tomato sauce (sooooo freakin' good), sweet tea and much more! read more

Two days ago I was at TJ's and was incredibly disappointed to see that the mask was not being enforced as they are required to be worn state wide. This is the only TJ's I've seen that hasn't been enforcing it. There was a customer shopping that had NO MASK on and no one told her anything. The worker that was ringing her up looked uncomfortable with the situation. The captains or mates should be enforcing this for the safety of their customers AND their workers. It's disappointing to see a TJ's lack of care for their community and employees. The Captains and Mates should be held responsible. read more

I was so wrong; and the decision was a monumental mistake. There isn't a single category where Ralph's is even competitive with TJ's. The organic product quality was literally disgusting and I had to opt to just forego buying two of the items I needed. The bakery item I purchased (cake) was stale, loaded with chemicals, and left a strange film and aftertaste in my mouth to the point I couldn't even finish it. The employees are stressed out and spread thin due to insane understaffing (one poor unfortunate soul sweating & doing their best to man the only open register) Ralph's prices are much, much higher for worse quality and smaller portions. The only thing that seemed like it was a good deal was Kombuchas on sale...but once I got to the counter learned the price shown on the shelf required the downloading of an app, the linking of online accounts to other accounts, and an incredibly confusing time-consuming process that in the end GLITCHED and didn't even work! Long story short, I will be making sure to leave earlier and drive the extra miles to continue to go to Trader Joe's instead.

As he offered to take my cart and take it to the appropriate location, I couldn't help but strike up a small conversation with him, and let him know how he is appreciated. A grocery store is a grocery store, and let's face it most are all alike-save for the occasional product inventory that may differ relative to your liking. But the real story here is this kind young man who struck up a conversation with me and has the greatest outlook even in today's somewhat dreary world. And even though we were not in time to get one of the famous cinnamon rolls, we did arrive in time to secure a slice of the desired Mixed Berry Cake. In fact, the baker even insisted on cutting the slice from an undecorated one that he had just finished icing. And it was extraordinary! The berries were so fresh and the flavor and texture of the cake was flawless. Just like my wife's favorite (sans the decorations). There are no tables and chairs at Lido Bakery. Not fancy really, clean but not fancy. This is a place where you come to buy something and carry it out. The USPS Mail Carrier came in while we were there. Picked up a few cookies and was gone in a flash. He was so happy! The selection of cakes in the front case was very impressive but I selected an eclair that looked like a work of (edible) art. It was an excellent choice. Now I have to figure out when I can get back to get a cinnamon roll. It might be a little out of the way but if you are looking for an exceptional bakery, look no further than Lido. You won't be disappointed.

Just had to say how AWESOME the people working at this store are! They are always super friendly, whistling or singing while they work. My bf casually asked if he could return a mostly eaten dip (he had eaten it before realizing he was allergic.) I was super embarrassed but they said no problem! I had also asked what happened to the green fresh squeezed juice they used to carry. One employee said he didnt know but would find out. I kept shopping and 10 minutes later he found me and had an answer! For employees to care like that, when they arent making a commission is impressive.
