This is such an awesome little supermarket! I have been trying to eat more gluten free, and couldn't find gluten free bread at my regular market. I decided to check here, and besides bread, they have a great selection of gluten free, vegan, and regular products! The supermarket is small, which is actually really nice. It keeps shopping simple and you really focus on the things you need! The staff is all really friendly, and since the space is smaller, you can find staff if you need help really easily. The prices are great too! You would think since stuff is kind of specialty (gluten free, vegan, etc.) that it would be really expensive, but the prices are fair, and some are cheaper than other stores! Free range eggs at Trader Joe's are almost a $1 cheaper than the free range eggs! This is a bit farther from our house than our regular market, but we will be coming here occasionally for our grocery store needs! Also try the pumpkin spice gluten free bagels! SO GOOD! read more

I have been shopping here for 7 years since moving to McKinney and today I'm told I have on the wrong kind of mask and I need to wear this kind of mask or I can't enter the store. We're from CA and EVERY single TJs we've visited has horrendous parking lots. This one however, does not. So - kudos there. Good food, small store. The one thing that is VERY annoying about this store is that they are always restocking during the most busy times. With small isles, and lots of people, this makes it difficult to navigate the store and get the things we need. Stockers also are not terribly friendly which is off-putting. Stock the store in the AM or PM when you're not open to appease your customers who spend $$$$! read more

Feels very safe here because they still take the health of their customers and employees seriously regardless of the lifting of the mask mandate. Always clean and the employees are super friendly. Where do I even begin! Love this Trader Joe's so much and most importantly their amazing customer service! The person who stood out to me the most was one of the workers I believe her name was Reygan or Ragan or something? She was so nice and helpful! One might say I'm somewhat of a TJ's connoisseur as I've been to them all over the world and know good customer service and let me just say this girl has got it! I rapid fired questions at her and she had an answer for all of them! What's the best frozen pizza? Bam answer! Where's the bathroom? Bam answer! Does GF bread mean girlfriend bread? BAM ANSWER! I usually love TJ's for their decent flower selection. However this particular location seems off. The selection here is sparingly stocked and the customer service isn't as great as other locations I've been too. I wanted some cookie butter ice cream, but they only had one damaged unit left. When I asked an employee if they had any more, he said they did and I could come back tomorrow for it. When I asked about a discount on the damaged unit, the cashier exclaimed "absolutely not" because it was a "best seller", but then asked me if it was okay that it was slightly open because if not they were going to toss it. It got me thinking that they'd rather trash a damaged item and take a loss than sell at a discount, or just go get a non damaged ice cream... I know I'm being petty, but damn I've learned to expect a great experience at Trader Joe's and shopping at this location felt like a bad Walmart. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, so this is a bit hard for me to do, but here goes: I usually go to Whole Foods Market, but I has some shopping to do nearby, so I stopped in at Trader Joe's. I was immediately awestruck at the 69c potatoes (each) which were obviously very old. The selection of fruits and veggies were so small. I was surprised to see how small the array was- in fact even Kroger had more! The supplement section was literally a joke! I figured I should just grab my few items, and leave- the store was very crowded. It took me 25 minutes to check out on a Saturday afternoon. Why? Because they had only 1/2 of the checkout lanes open! Who are you fooling?? Is this due to COVID?? But your store was CROWDED! What a joke! I'm sticking to Whole Foods Market! Love, love, love Trader Joes! By far one of my absolute favorite grocery stores. This location is located right next to Cristina's. The construction on 75 and Eldorado is completed, so it is very easy to get in and out of. The store itself was well kept and fully stocked. Their produce is of the best quality. The best part about Trader Joes is their amazing wine collection. After discovering their amazing collection I do not shop for wine anywhere else, unless I am in an actual winery. This is one of my favorite places to shop for groceries. Less expensive than Whole Foods, more ready-to-go items than Sprouts, but still a good selections of items I need most of the time. I have never been disappointed with the quality of the food. The staff is friendly and enthusiastic. If you are in the area, try this store, trust me you will love it. This was my first visit to this relatively new outpost of Trader Joe's, and I think it'll be my go-to for now. It's closer to my home, and it seems larger inside than the one in Plano, but it features the same goods you'd expect from Trader Joe's. Access is a little strange due to the design of the upscale shopping center where it's located, made even stranger by the current (as of this writing) road construction in the area. But hey, on to the shopping! I wasn't really here for anything in particular, I was wanting to check out the location. I did pick up some house brand chili (haven't tried it yet, but it comes with great reviews from friends) and some cashews, as well as a frozen side dish or two (polenta and mixed vegetables). Overall, it was a good experience, the place wasn't too busy and the staff was very friendly. If you're more on the east side of the northern Dallas 'burbs, come over this way and give it a try. read more

I don't shop TJs for everyday items, but more of a treat or special snack place. We get Advent calendars there every year since they are .99 cents and I'm of course addicted to cookie butter here. Plus they carry Opal apples, the best apple ever created. My kids love coming here because the staff is so nice and they give kids treats and stickers. The prices are very reasonable and they have very cool frozen foods like gnocchi and risotto that are delicious. Plus $2 Chuck (TJ wine 2.99) is a must. The white Zinfandel and Pinot are awesome. I'm only deducting one star here because today the free sample lady was handing out a free sample of some kind of siracha gumbo, or something with this seafood stuffed chicken and the chicken was RAW. Totally raw. I immediately went back and showed her and she apologized and said she'd cook the batch longer, but she didn't remove the ones that were out and people were taking them and I was then responsible for telling them not to eat it. Another chick got mad about it because her kid was about to eat it. Just make sure anything you eat is cooked through. read more

Traders Joe's is like an "Innovative Foods" Store. Their food choices are really cool. For example they have "Ghost Pepper" potato chips, dried broccoli spears, partially popped pop corn which are all great tasting and innovative! I wouldn't call their foods "whole" necessarily, but like I said they are innovative. The staff is always friendly and the clientele is often fit pretty ladies or hipsters-type, which is NOT a bad thing! Very pretty ladies frequent this place ;) The one thing that may be deceptive about Trader Joe's is that their foods aren't necessarily "healthy" like one would think. So please read the labels. Great place for innovative foods. Good service. High prices. 3.6/5 is my rating! Definitely worth a visit! read more

Lots of great products but the people are what really make this store. Knowledgeable and always ready to help. The demo kitchen has lots of great recipe ideas. We are fans of anything with cookie butter. We make protein bites using any of their nut butters and add protein powder, honey, vanilla and chocolate chips. read more

Still loving TJs. They have organic options that won't cost an arm and a leg. We go to load up on fruit, chocolate yogurt and there is a nice beer selection too. Customer service is to notch. My toddler threw a massive tantrum and the staff helped me by offering him stickers and lollipops. When that didn't work they helped me take my groceries out to the car and even loaded the trunk while I wrestled my maniac child. I was so grateful for this! Thanks TJs!! read more

Much smaller store than most Trader Joe's locations which makes the already meager offering even smaller. Staff is friendly almost to the point they seem hypnotized to worship everything odd and gluten free. My first impression upon entering the store was interrupted by a thick stench of body odor. I was never able to ascertain the source of the odor as it seemed to permeate throughout the store. If hipsters being hip by smugly blowing their entire minimum wage paychecks on a single paper sack of ultra-hip food, strange odors, popular because it's different, extremely limited and over priced selection, unwashed bodies (may work well in Cali but not in this Texas heat), starry eyed possibly drugged employees are your thing then you'll be right at home here. read more

This is my favorite TJ''s, of all the TJ's in the metroplex. The store is new, clean and fresh in appearance, and it's organized very well. It's always busy because it's so popular, but the store can handle the crowd. There's a TJ's on Preston that has the wine right by the checkout, making it impossible to browse the selection due to the lines, but this store has the wine section in a roomy, open corner section that makes browsing a breeze. Great selection on so many items, lots of flowers and plants, and the staff is knowledgeable, eager to help, and always friendly. This is my happy place. read more

Every visit, I find something new to try. The staff at this location are enthusiastic about their products and always willing to help. Outstanding customer service! We shop here 2 to 3 times a week for the last 5 years or so. Yesterday we were missing a few small items that we didn't pay for, but 1 expensive item that we did paid for but never received. This has never happened. Went back the next day with receipt and explained the odd situation. Well, the manager gave us the missing item and small items that we went back for. He wouldn't let me pay for the other stuff. This is the closest Trader Joe's to me and I love this location. Not only does it have Trader Joe's, but it has many different stores and eateries around it. The workers in Trader Joe's are extremely nice. There are only a few things here and there that I will get from Trader Joe's because they are on the healthier side. It can be a bit pricey depending on what it is you are trying to purchase. Trader Joe's is one of my go-to spots for exclusive things not sold elsewhere. Traders Joe is our favorite! It is in the same group as Whole Foods and Sprouts...but focusing exclusively on food items. The produce and meat here are organic, not very expensive and responsibly sourced. One section that really captures our attention is the dried items - dried mangoes, dried ginger and many other varieties. The wine section is another favorite of ours. Their trademark wine (Merlot and Cabernet) are $1.99 and taste amazing - cheapest and best way to get buzzed. This particular location has ample parking and is located off US-75 and Eldorado. This is my new local Trader Joe's now. I don't really like getting essentials here (dairy, meat, eggs, veggies, fruit, etc) as I think they are kind of expensive but I do like coming here for unique items. Cards and flowers are great and cheap here! They have interesting chips and salsa. If I am looking for a specific cheese, I'm sure they got it here. Smoked salmon here is pretty good. In terms of frozen food, I really like their Indian microwave meals and their tamales. They have the best snacks and cookies to share with family, friends and co-workers! Candy is pretty unique too.They also have a great selection of beer, wine and liquor. There's also always a sample being offered at their sample station. My obsessed TJ items right now are cauliflower gnocchi and the pancake bread. The gnocchi takes some time to get used to but once you have a good sauce, its pretty good. The pancake bread is amazing! I like to get two loaves every visit. The staff here is pretty friendly and nice. Also parking is not bad. The location is right off the 75, which is very convenient. read more

It's a small grocery store that sells some bodega type things and imports. I like the Dubliner cheese and the Ancient grains pizza. We love the Tikki Masala. Salads and corn muffins are great. The 2.99 wine tastes like lighter fluid. Ugh. The staff is very friendly. The bbq beef is excellent and I am from Texas. This California import is good but we have Kroger and Wal mart so it is hard to say that a few items will keep me coming back to the small isles. I would go again for the roses, they were the best. Fresh and fragrant and 4.99 for 8. The frozen eggplant is delicious. I guess in Texas we just want more and bigger. I really like this store more than their Plano location, the aisles are wider, and I saw lots of items that I haven't seen at the Plano store before. The set up was a little different, but the dairy is still in the back folks. Cashier was friendly and efficient, and I received a free reusable bag as part of their grand opening promotion. Try their frozen meals if you're feeling lazy, or hit up their cheese section for some cool and inexpensive finds. I really love their Original Soy Milk, Butter Waffle Cookies, and Sweet Potato Tortilla Chips. Coffee can be hit-or-miss, but their limited edition Peaberry from Java was great. Joe-Joe's are a must for any sandwich cookie fan (the gluten free ones are actually pretty tasty too!) They also have their own toothpaste, hair products, heck even toilet paper. If you're feeling a bit iffy on a product, and you're not sure about buying it, a helpful employee will open almost anything and let you sample it. They also have a no questions asked return policy so if you're too shy to ask for a sample and hate something, bring it back! If you're looking for nice produce at reasonable prices, stop in here, especially for fall gourds and squash! Check out the back right corner of the store for samples and their new product section. This TJ's is huge! The layout almost makes me want to drive here instead of going to the cramped stores that are near my place. The store was strangely quiet, which i didn't even think happened at any TJ's anywhere, but an employee i spoke to assured me that people were staying in because of the strange weather we've been having. Anyway, i loved that it was me and 10 other people shopping. I browsed a bit more than i usually can, and the lady checking me out commented on my strawberry rhubarb pie. She said that she'd tried it and she thought it was great (she's NOT lying!). I really like that they have their employees try their foods so they can have honest conversations with customers.
