Trader Joe's my kind of go-to-store where most of your basic needs, is all there. Trader Joe's is special for its curated, unique, affordable, private-label products, fun Hawaiian-themed atmosphere with friendly "Crew Members," and a less overwhelming selection that encourages discovery(like I did). It houses the viral and still trending esp in Asia(Philippines) canvass tote bags. I love the other tote and reusable bags too.. They have the viral Ube ice cream. I love love their vanilla bean yogurt that has less sugar than the honey. Gooseberry that is seasonal. I hope they can get it with the dried flower bulbs(?) still intact. Also, making grocery shopping an engaging experience rather than an errand or a chore. They focus on quality, often avoiding artificial ingredients, while keeping prices low by buying directly from suppliers and their no-coupon policy. Meaning their itemized amount are already, everyday low cost They have an area too for pet food for both the dogs(esp their dried potato yams) and cat treats I love their cheeses. Their apple sourdough with cultured butter Blood Orange drink in a bottle, which was recommended by my daughter. Pls try their smoked paprika too. There are a lot of flavors and things to discover and try. Just like life, it's never ending trials. Though some(like their produce) is unfortunately limited, I don't mind. UPDATE 1: Review #25 2025-072 I remembered my first Trader Joe's visit in S. Pasadena near the pro shop that I worked at; I loved their inexpensive 3-cheese pita sandwich for lunch & dinner. Since moving to the South Bay, Trader Joe's (refer to Review #853) is my go-to for grocery needs. Initially it was easier going to the Hawthorne Blvd. location because it was en route home from work, now this PCH location is our preferred stop because I'm working closer to home. I sometimes dread going to TJ's & tasting the daily sample, falling in love with some, only to have it pulled from the shelves later, & I'm left heart-broken because I can't find it elsewhere. My current loves: Kerrygold Irish Cheddar with Chili Peppers (great for burgers & hot dogs, extra kick in mac & cheese, or potato skin topping), Soft Juicy Mandarins (this dried fruit snack is so addicting; I call it fruit crack!!), Ghost Pepper Potato Chips (it's not that spicy in comparison to an actual ghost pepper), Chicken Chili Verde Burrito, Blood Orange Mochi (love blood orange desserts!), Mixed Berry Lemon Curd (vibrant blend of raspberry, blackberry, black currant, & citrusy lemon... great as a spread or hidden dollop when baking muffins), Organic Toasted Sesame Dressing (love the savoriness), Rainier Cherries (plump, juicy orbs of sweet). Both kids are older now, but still enjoy looking for the plushie to earn a free lollipop. Once in awhile my 9 YO may ask for stickers (usually near holidays because he likes the themed ones). Prices are competitive & inline with the regular supermarkets, whereas earlier years Trader Joe's was more affordable. This Trader Joe's is so well stocked and organized. It is the largest Trader Joe's I've been to and is ALWAYS full of customers .. doesn't matter if it's morning, noon or night. And yet, the employees (team members) manage to keep restocking all of the items. The food choices are great .. pre-packaged (ready to eat) to the frozen to the meats. I love it. One of the more larger locations in the southbay area. I love to come to this Trader Joe's during the early weekend because it's not so crowded. The aisles are larger so it's less crowded. This location is always fully stocked and staff are really nice and helpful. This is a great store to find the unusual snacks, cheeses, packaged meats, fish, and produce.

Haven't been to Trader Joes in a while, and when I visited today I was amazed at how different everything looks now! They knocked down a wall and expanded which resulted in sooo much more space throughout the store. The aisles used to be so cramped especially during peak hours, but now you have a lot of room to wander all the snacks and knick knacks TJ's has to offer (without the worry of bumping into someone). Grocery shopping just became more enjoyable! This Trader Joes is located in a prime spot in Torrance so it gets pretty busy but there is plenty of parking. And when you're done grocery shopping you better hit up Pinwheel Bakery before their pistachio croissants sell out!!! read more

I have been coming to this store for over 15 years!! I have came in on a regular basis and built relationships with many employees. They have watched my children grow and it warms my heart how sweet everyone is. A lot of my fav employees have left. But my most fan fav now is Kate! she is so loving and so pleasant. I went in the other day with my 7 month old baby my cart was full and when I paid she refused I go out alone and escorted me to my car. Kate is truly a genuine and happy soul! The store is great especially since the recent remodel. There is more room to move around and shop, which is nice. The employees are generally nice and friendly. Although, there is an employee who recently hit me, seemingly on purpose, with a cart while he was working. And since then he makes me uncomfortable when shopping, so I do what I can to avoid him. One of the managers Brian was extremely rude. We came in to ask a question about returning an item and he looked at us as if he was agitated because we accidentally interrupted a conversation he was having with someone and his response was very unprofessional and it seemed like he had a attitude. We work in customer service and we understand the importance of giving great customer service and understand that Trader Joe's is an establishment that speaks so highly of their customer service and yet they have managers that are very disrespectful towards people of color as this is not my first negative encounter with him. read more

Located off PCH in Torrance in the Rolling Hills Plaza parking is shared with all the other businesses in the plaza and it's gets crowded in plaza during seasons times. The store is smaller it seems in compared to the other Torrance location it may be just the way it is lay out. The staff is friendly and willing to help. The good: I got sour jelly beans and they were definitely super sour! I love their frozen foods section and the international cuisines they offer (Greek, Indian, Korean, French, Italian, Salvadoran, etc.). I got tomato burrata ravioli that was super yummy. The prices are affordable and portions are smallish so it's good if you want to sample something or if you're feeding a small group. The bad: There was a whole row of frozen food stuff that was empty. There was a cardboard sign that said "ask staff for help with items here" but I don't know what items are supposed to be there to begin with so I wouldn't know what I'd be asking for. There were no St. Patrick's' day specific food items. I was hoping for some themed cookies or snacks but I didn't see a single item that was specific for the holiday. The interesting: The cashier was super peppy and hyper. She spoke fast so I barely caught what she was saying. It seems like cashiers are required to mention an item then like and/or don't like as much every time at cash out. read more

I've always been a TJ's fan. This one is located in the Rolling Hills shopping plaza which gets very busy. I visited shortly after the store opened on a Saturday morning and found a parking spot around the corner on the PCH side. As other yelpers have pointed out, this one is on the smaller side. The aisles are not spaced particularly well at this location. So for me, the Torrance Hawthorne Blvd location is my preferred location. There were two employees at the checkout counter, one cashiering and another helping bag. Both efficient. TJ items are standard as typically found in a TJs. There are helpful and polite employees on the floor assisting customers and restocking. The store is clean and they have protocols in place. For example, when it is your turn at the checkout, you have to stand at the floor marker until it is time to pay. Overall, this is one is A-OK. read more

Where do I start. Nothing but amazing things to say about the staff here. They are always so nice and helpful here at this location. The times I've needed something and they don't have it in stock they go check the back. Trader Joe's is my hero for not raising prices when all the other markets doubled in price after Covid (today is January 2025) this review is long overdue! Bird flu was found in chickens and many had to be put down, so eggs when this happens go up around $6-8 per doz. Trader Joe's keeps prices low and so they were sold out of eggs this month, but it's ok I still need to shop there for Lactose free milk, for 3.99 when everyone else is charging $5-6 per quart. Thank you for not gouging us and helping our families! I LOVE YOU TJ's!!!!!! I appreciate all the efforts and you are SO darn good at offering just the right things in the right amount inexpensively!!!! There's no need to do any kind of sales because the prices are always reasonable!!! No stupid coupons needed, or membership fees! The selection is amazing! To be specific, they find things I LOVE and make copy cat cheaper versions of it and sell it at a fraction of the price like See's Candy molasses chips! I think it's like $15 at Sees you can get the copy car TJ version for $3.99 or something like that. The desserts and appetizers are all easy to serve when you have sudden guests and it never disappoints! I have a pantry full of TJ pastas I get linguine for a buck still when all the other places even at their lowest charge about $1.50. Staple foods have not gone up when everyone else jacked up their prices so now it's a lot less to shop there. And I trust the quality. Thank you for being our true friend and neighbor! I'm Japanese and my family and friends all love your tote bags too, I have to buy out half the store every time I go home they all want your cute tote bags, in Japan they are called Eco bags. I recommend you make smaller ones that can be used as lunch bags they will go crazy over those. We are pretty big regulars here - These team members are all really, really nice to us - Logan, Tanner, Albert, the young blond girl with the great smile (don't remember her name) and the manager that works in the night with the great smile (don't remember his name). They make our shopping experience both easy and fun one. We have other stores to go to, but we always pick this one. Twice I have bought dairy products in recent months from this Trader Joe's location, and got them home to find that they had already gone bad several days away from the expiration date. Berries are often moldy as well. They can't be trusted for food safety. read more
